What is your initial impression of the site? What do you think it does?
My initial impression of this site was that the graphics are not centered on the page. As I scrolled down the page it became a little more balanced. The graphics are large and easy to read. The cartoon style grabbed my attention with the bright colors. It is very clear that this site is about helping someone with weight loss. To be more specific maybe someone who has tried to lose weight many times before and failed.
Are you immediately drawn to click anything? Why?
My eyes were immediately drawn to the “Diet User Log In” link. Which was in fact a little discouraging. After briefly looking more closely at the page I focused in on the “click to begin” link. I think this particular button should be more prominent. This would encourage users to sign up first. Seeing the log in link firt made me feel like I already needed to be a member to view the site.
Where would you go to learn more about what the site has to offer?
I clicked on the “click here to begin” button to learn more about what his site has to offer. I was then greeted by a list of useful facts.
According to the information presented, what works and what does not work when it comes to losing weight? Are you able to draw any conclusion?
One’s eating patterns is definitely a factor. Also how many times a day a person eats a meal. The information states that eating more than 3 meals a day will aid in losing weight. This of course would include smaller portions and healthy food choices. According to the page traditional low fat and low carb diets are useless. A successful diet will consist of controlling the hormones that are released every time a person eats. This is refered to as calorie shifting which is a key to losing weight.

Click “Next” at the bottom of the page to go to the next page. What is the main reason that prevents people from losing weight?
The main reason that prevents people from losing weight is a combination of their eating habits and procrastination. People have a hard time setting a definite date to start their weight loss program.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
All of the information included in the site made sense. I would be compelled to give this program a chance especially if past diets and programs were a failure. That said the way the information was presented reminded me of the 1,000′s of other get slim or get rich sites on the internet. I think it would be better received if the structure was broken down and designed differently to be more easy on the eye.

The first thing that hit me was the word IDIOT. When people are on a diet they already have low self esteem and calling them a idiot would not boot their esteem which a diet is supposed to do.

The page was extremely cheesy, unprofessional in my opinion if you want to make money for a product your website should look a bit more professional, not like it was a junior high project.

I will keep it very short and sweet. I am currently looking to go on a diet with a group of friends and that website threw me off as soon as I saw Idiot and after that my instrest was lost.

I would not buy a diet from that site.

My initial impression was the site was colorful and eye catching. I was drawn to click on the idiot button.I would go to google the site to see the reviews.

I found out that eating 3 meals a day is not enough-you need to eat more to lose weight. The conclusion I took from it is that  a low calorie diet does not work because your metabolism will drop to adjust.

You can not get slimmer until you change your eating habits. Your body will not change by itself. Try something new.

    1) Nice bright colors does draw the eye. The topic is “heavy” but the site does not reflect that, which is good, because you get the idea that the experience is light and fun and doable.
    2) Click here to begin……enticing!
    3) Calorie shifting, eating the right foods in the correct intervals. Low calorie, low  fat and low carb diets. Nutrition is the answer, not starving or exercise.
4)Procrastination, always holding out for the next time.
    5) The site is easily accessible and understandable.

Visit http://tinyurl.com/7ej8zku. What is your initial impression of the site? What do you think it does? Are you immediately drawn to click anything? Why?
The first thing that comes to mind, is that the site is way too bright.  It hurts your eyes.  My suggestion would be for you to change the coloring.  It can be very colorful without using “Bright” colors.  The links and words at the bottom of the page are way too small to even read.  My suggestion would be to use bigger font.  The site is about losing weight.
Where would you go to learn more about what the site has to offer?
I clicked “sign up” to see what the site is about.  I noticed there are a lot of pages of reading which can make a person feel overwhelmed.  There is no “Home” tab or link on any of those pages which means for a person to get back to the “Homepage” they have to keep clicking back.  You should have a “home” link on every page.  Normally, sites have tabs like “About us” which gives the person an idea of what the site is about.  An “F&Q” is very helpful too to get answers to the most common questions asked.  I suggest that you create and “About us” and “F&Q” page.  People will be more wanting to use your service, if they knew more about it and have answers to their questions.  You also do not have a “Contact” link where people are able to contact you and ask you any questions.  Most people will not use a service that they are not able to contact.
Now visit the following page: http://tinyurl.com/7o6cgf4 . According to the information presented, what works and what does not work when it comes to losing weight? Are you able to draw any conclusion?
To start off with, that is a lot of reading.  Second, I noticed on a lot of your pages, you have a lot of empty room.  You only use the left side of the site.  I suggest that you move everything to the middle or find things to use the right side for.  I understand what you are saying about the calorie shifting but since I have never tried it, I don’t know if it works.

Click “Next” at the bottom of the page to go to the next page. What is the main reason that prevents people from losing weight?
    Procrastination.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
There is way too much reading.  People will not take the time out to read all of that.  They will lose interest and click out of the site.  When claiming a program works, you should always have testimonies from people who have used it on your site.  I suggest that you should change a few things in which I mentioned above.  Good luck!!

    1) Visit http://tinyurl.com/7ej8zku. What is your initial impression of the site? What do you think it does? Are you immediately drawn to click anything? Why?

My initial impressions is that the page seems to be a bit off center with all of the information appearing on the top left side of the page (my screen resolution: 1366 x 768 pixels). I like the top part of the page because it is very colorful. The bottom part however seemed a bit out of place and to me it almost looks a bit like an afterthought.

The one thing that I didn’t like about the page is the use of the word “idiot”. I think that weight loss can be an exceptionally emotional issue with many people having tried and failed using a number of different weight loss programs. I think this could be offensive to some people especially when they have been working hard or trying to loose weight for a long time. I really don’t like the smiling lady with the stopwatch with the “I am a certified idiot” speech bubble (perhaps the page would seem less harsh without this graphic?).

I think that the page is promoting a weight loss diet which can be downloaded.

Initially I didn’t notice the “Click to Begin button”. The “I’m a certified idiot” speech bubble seems to over power the “Click to begin button”.

    2) Where would you go to learn more about what the site has to offer?

Initially I scrolled down to learn more about what the site had to offer. I then clicked the “Click to begin button”. Personally I think that the information at the bottom of the first page could be taken away as it is repeated after you click the button which takes you to the rest of the site. Perhaps if the button were bigger and more in your face this would encourage people to click it. Perhaps it could say something like “click here to learn more” or “click here to learn how to loose 9lbs every 11 days”.

    3) Now visit the following page: http://tinyurl.com/7o6cgf4 . According to the information presented, what works and what does not work when it comes to losing weight? Are you able to draw any conclusion?

Strict diets do not work. Diets which require you to cut down or cut out food groups are discouraging and don’t have the desired results.

The website is promoting a method which does not require people to starve themselves but rather adjust their lifestyles to get their bodies in balance thereby allowing the body to loose weight naturally without the side-effects which other diets can have. A more holistic approach without the effort of “normal” diets.

    4) Click “Next” at the bottom of the page to go to the next page. What is the main reason that prevents people from losing weight?

The website says that procrastination is the main reason people don’t loose weight. I like the bit about pulling out the calendar and circling todays date and the day 11 days from now. I think that this allows people to feel like their goal is within their reach without feeling overwhelmed or discouraged.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I noticed that there is a lack in continuity in the theme of the website. The first (home) and second page are the same and then it looks like it moves to a different (affiliate?) site with page 4 looking completely different to the other pages. Overall I like the information presented on the site and I think that visitors would find it very interesting and would probably like to learn more. As mentioned above, I don’t like the “I am a certified idiot” speech bubble of the graphic that goes with it. Personally I would try to find a more encouraging positive message for the home page. I love the use of the calendar illustration on the last page so perhaps that could be incorporated into the home page. Perhaps something like a calendar showing todays date and the another circle 11 days away with something like “If you start today you could be 11 lbs lighter by x date”.

    1) Visit http://tinyurl.com/7ej8zku. What is your initial impression of the site? What do you think it doe? Are you immediately drawn to click anything? Why?
First off, this site struck me as very unique in regards to the design, graphics and colors. My interest was immediately piqued for that fact alone. The feel/theme was fun and reminded me of classic comic book art, maybe something you’s see in the ad panels of some 80′s comics, sans the more solid colors. My first thoughts about the purpose of the site gravitated toward some sort of newsletter or brochure sent by email that went over a step by step program to lost weight. The space off to the right is a bit empty, bulky and bland though. It also looks like the front page was two pages smashed together. After a few seconds, I realize that I really have no idea what is being offered here other than a different presentation in website design.

I’m curious to click on the “Click To Begin” link simply to see how the rest of the site is laid out. The fact that I’m thinking like that instead of “Oh God, not another weight loss pitch, my mind is going to explode,” is a testament to your web designer’s skills. Okay… the initial buzz is wearing off and I’ve noticed there are no real navigation links, which makes me feel like I’m being forced down a path of heavy marketing, not to pop out on the other side without having to see the long and drawn out pitch (which may or may not be true)

    2) Where would you go to learn more about what the site has to offer?
The Click To Begin icon is visible and in an appropriate place, but the color choice here leaves it faded into the background. I didn’t even notice it until I had spend a few seconds examining the page. A lot of the icons around it almost look clickable though they are not. This could be confusing to people looking for more information. There’s also a link below the Weight Loss Facts article, which leads to the same place. The text here is bulky for a newcomer; the link should read simply. “Click Here To Find Out More/Get Started.”

    3) Now visit the following page: http://tinyurl.com/7o6cgf4 . According to the information presented, what works and what does not work when it comes to losing weight? Are you able to draw any conclusion?
Using the right foods at the right intervals each day plays a far greater part in weight loss and maintenance than exercise, and supersede diet pills in effective weight control. We need to know when our bodies need certain foods and how to spread our meals out to greater than 3 a day to make an impact on our weight. It’s not necessary to exercise and/or starve to shave off pounds. Low fat and low calorie diets do not work and low carb diets sap energy, mood and willpower. Calorie shifting diets will manipulate bodily response systems to encourage the burning of calories and engage the system to begin shedding weight.

    4) Click “Next” at the bottom of the page to go to the next page. What is the main reason that prevents people from losing weight?
Procrastination is the number one reason that prevents people from making a positive impact on their health and weight problems. This is perhaps the most common reason for not accomplishing most anything.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Some people are easily offended. The use of the word “idiot” on the front page several times might be a turn off for some. For me, I could care less — I get it. But for others, this may not be the case. The “For Dummies” series does this successfully though so who knows. Maybe “dummies” is slightly less abrasive and comes across in a chiding manner. Could just be a matter of word choice.

There are a lot of pages to read through before getting to the product pitch. Also, there are bold color changes and some format changes to a lesser degree that almost give me the feeling of jumping from one sales page to the next. All of the text and info is bunched up on one side of the screen, leaving the rest as a big, open space with no real purpose. Everything looks unbalanced.

The entire feeling here went from mild interest right into typical salesy copy with highlights and exclamation marks, etc. There are no testimonials here. All of a sudden the last two pages are centered while the rest are smashed to the left. There seems to be no picture of the product, no actual physical image to give the consumer the idea that they are getting something tangible for their money.

The Log In button for members seems to be in an odd place. I can’t say whether I like it there or not. It’s certainly noticeable. Some of the pages linked at the very bottom of the landing page have weird looking little “stripes” of graphics running down the right side of the page. I assume this is to offset the info being pushed off to the left and leaving the rest rather sparse. It looks awkward.

On second thought, the site seems very bright. I wouldn’t mind it during the day, but at night after I’m settled down it might be a bit too much.
Good luck, and I hope this helps!
