Note to Feedback Providers:
Please note that businesses are looking for in-depth feedback that gives them thorough, insightful and actionable input. A ‘superficial’ submission that does not add value, is not thorough (i.e. written in a hurry, with poor grammar, punctuation etc.) and does not offer any constructive feedback is not particularly helpful and will therefore be rejected.

  1. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?

    – My initial impression of the home page was very well structured. Everything was laid out nicely and the pictures gave it just enough spice. The information was well put and it was nicely organized. That is the biggest thing about homepages but yours was very well put.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?

    – I searched up more features that the website had to offer and it was very easy to find. The feature tab was on top and had everything that they offered on the page and even demonstrations. I was very impressed because usually you have to search and search for what you need.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

    – I would sign up for a free trail if this was something that I needed at the moment. It is not something that I need right now but I will spread the word because the information and layout of this site was very helpful. I think this website is really great.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?

    – I would prefer this website to any other website that offers this product because this site had way more information and feedback on the page than any other site I found. Also the picture demonstrations blew me away, they showed what it is, how to accomplish it. I was very happy with them.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

    – Keep up the great work and I will be spreading the word about your site.

  2. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?

At first glance of the homepage, I already like the colors, simplicity and how clean it looks.

I find the social buttons at the top a bit distracting though. I find it a bit too big and the colors don’t seem to go well with the header/banner.

I thought it was a nice that a video is available but I was surprised that I had to be redirected to youtube to view it. The video is informative and gave me an idea of what the tool is for. I also like that I was able to see a demo of how the tool works.

Scrolling down the page, I find the layout easy to follow. The written info is easy to read and the images/animated gifs accompanying the text is helpful as well.

I think the homepage is well done. I was able to easily get info on the questions I had in mind.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?

I wanted to see the pricing/plans and was able to find it easily. It’s nice that navigating around the site is pretty simple.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

Not really. I think allthings is a really useful tool since I find it combines the tools I use in organizing and keeping track of tasks but the Free edition doesn’t seem to have much features. It’s great that there is a trial but I’m not too sure about setting things up and migrating my data into a different service in the event that I don’t like it.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?

    So I landed on basecamp.com.

The features seem to be similar but I think I prefer allthings’ interface more. Compared to basecamp, I can easily find the tools in the app (like the sidebars/menus) and easily see what is happening in a project.

One thing I like about basecamp’s site is that they have a demo project available. It was pretty easy to see it in action.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I like the site’s simple and clean look. It was easy to navigate around the site and the content is really informative.

My only issue with the site is that the video isn’t embedded – I get redirected to Youtube when I click on it. Checking out the other pages, the video at the Features page opened in a pop-up/overlay window though. It’d be nice if it works the same throughout the site.

I can’t find it in the list of features but I was wondering if there is an export function. Maybe if there is an export function, I’d be more willing to try it out. But overall, I think the site is great and the tool seems really useful.

  3. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?

I had a positive reaction when I first saw the home page. It isn’t cluttered and overwhelming, the colors are nice, and I’m a fan of bullet points. It’s clear what’s being offered and it’s something that offers a solution to a problem. This product has great accessibility which is vital in this day and age.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?

I wanted to get a better idea of what was offered in each of the plans and compare plans/prices. I easily found what I wanted on the pricing page. It’s good that a free trial is offered. I didn’t see how long that free trial lasted, though, until I clicked on the “Start Free Trial” button. I’d rather have seen the 30 days on the Pricing page. I like that these plans are priced according to US dollars as well as other currencies. Then less site visitors would have to calculate it according to their own currency. I think what’s offered in the free plan is adequate – enough to give a person or business enough experience with it to know if he/she/they would like to upgrade to a different plan. I like that in addition to the features, this page also includes who each plan is for. That’s helpful for a site visitor making a decision.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

Yes, I’m encouraged to sign up, but like I said above, I’d like to know the length of the free trial on the pricing page. The video on the “Why do teams…” page is something I really like. If I’m going to pay for something, I want a better look at it, and this video shows me. On all of the main pages and at the top of the site, it’s clear where I can click to sign up.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which one do you prefer? Why?

I chose Central Desktop for comparison. I didn’t think the site looked as professional so it didn’t make as good of an impression on me. The price was shown for one plan, but it said “Based on needs” instead of a price on other plans. It did, however, have a list of well known businesses who use their product and that could be a strong drawing point for people. And it also had a separate page for small businesses and large businesses to try to draw each type in. I don’t care for their cluttered sidebar. I think allthings does a better job at describing the product and has more “call to action” points on their site, is more professional looking, and it’s just a better site overall.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

On the “Why do teams…” page, I like that it shows how various businesses can benefit from allthings. Also, the video was well done. I like the Features page since it explains things in more detail. I also like that a person could request a demo. The blog looks like it offers some helpful info. that will keep people coming back to the site, so that’s good, too.

  4. 1: Homepage:

When I entered there were only a few things on the screen, besides the logo and the menu on top. Those were the video and the words “Visibility of projects, people, tasks and”. I doubt that anybody will click the video as soon as they enter the site for the first time, but the choice of the image which leads to the video is pretty good and can give an idea about the software, even if it may be a bit vague. That, coupled with the tag line ‘Convert Chaos into Control’, makes it attractive. I did feel like scrolling down.

The whole homepage gave me a nice impression, generally, as it gave my a professional yet friendly vibe. The mint green tone was soothing, and the information is concise and to the point. I like the animated images, as it shows more of the interface without needing to click the video. It’s a nice alternative to those who don’t wish to watch the video, and isn’t intrusive.

I find somewhat clashing the dark green tone, compared to the light tone used earlier, but it isn’t a big complaint.

The information is well-structured and follows a good line of thought. Everything is in its correct place and is easy to read, so props on that. However I don’t think the video of how the software works should be in the bottom of the homepage. I personally would place it above the prices.

2: Something I wanted to find.

Definitely the features of the software. The link to what I looked for is visible and easily found, so no problems there. I like that there are abundant images along the different features, although it can get a bit cluttered, as it’s disorganized. It could be a good idea to form columns or something similar.

3: Am I encouraged to buy the software?

It did seem like a tool that can help to organize and make management easier. I’d have looked for a trial version or similar, and it exists! It could be said one really is encouraged to at least give it a try. Of course, most of the appeal to stay using the service would come after the downloading, but at least the website does make one want to see how this works.

    4: Searching for the Competitors.

I searched ‘management software for business’. The first result that seemed to offer a software was one from sap.com. When I entered, I could instantly see it was more focused towards small-sized or medium-sized enterprises, thanks to the company’s tagline and the information. In allthings, it wasn’t directed towards a specific sector, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as you’re offering to a broader market.

Another advantage you had is that you offered videos and images that showed the features and the workings of your software, while in sap.com was mostly text. And your site was more appealing and friendly looking, thanks to the clear background and green tones.

However I’ll point that, from what I understood, although both softwares are for business management, both sites have a different focus. Yours is on organizing, while theirs seems to involve a lot other matters.

    5: Additional feedback/comment:

Overall, I liked the site a lot. It’s clean and professional, and its content did make me interested on the software. To be honest, if I had a company, I definitely would give it a try. Heck, I don’t even have a company and I’m interested on the free version so I can organize myself better! So I’d say it’s possible for viewers to be hooked on the product.

There aren’t that many things to correct, in my opinion, however, as I said before, the information and images in the features page needs to be better structured, and please consider placing that second video on the homepage a bit higher.

This is a nice webpage and the product has potential, so well done on that regard. I hope my words were helpful, and I wish you good luck.

  5. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?

I liked that I immediately knew what the site is for and that everything was laid out in a very easy to understand way.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?

I was interested in looking at the features that were available. I was easily able to find the page and I really loved that you had a video to explain how it works.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

I am absolutely encouraged to create a new account! It states that I can have a 30 day free trial and I would definitely sign up for this.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?

I was able to easily find another site that offers similar services, however, I was not pleased with what they had to offer. For starters, the other sites home page was poorly set up and I had to spend a few minutes looking around just to find their features. The other site did not have any videos either and that is something I really liked about your site.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

Overall, I feel that your site is set up in a way that is very easy for anyone to know within a minute if they would be interested in your services. I really enjoyed the fact that you had videos to help explain a few things as well.

  6. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?

The website gives me a strong first impressions, it is simple but layed out in an attractive way. The logo seems to say it all, like it covers everything and is supposed to have whaetevr I need. The picture icons that look like stop signs are great!! They give me an idea of benefits that would surely be useful and lessen clutter like email and numerous spreadsheets. It is also supposed to aid in communication and that it will all be answered by allthings. The video is there to give a sneak preview of what’s in it for me. Also, I was attracted to the feature of being able to install it in different devices, where I saw pictures of tablets and a mobile phone. So far, these were the highlight of the homepage for me which got me interested on staying on the website a bit further.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?

I thought of finding more about the product’s features and find some screenshots if possible. Yes, I was able to find this, I just scrolled through the page and saw the checklist of reasons why people use it, like having 24/7 access and the mobility of the application. However, these seemed like information just given in general and I wanted to find some more specific details about the app, and looking some more, I found that there was a link to ‘See all features’ which I barely noticed. I think it should be made more noticeable, make it bigger or have an icon to click as well, because I find that when I clicked on it, this was actually what I was trying to find in the first place! There was nothing confusing, I just did not see it right away. Here in the ‘see all features’ link, I see screenshots and more descriptions of the functions.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

Yes, I am encouraged to sign up for a free trial. Though all the pictures seem to describe things that I can do here very well, I would personally like to experience it and see if it will be worth my money. I love the way that putting comments and chat are built-in so now I understand what it says that it would avoid communication breakdowns! Somehow this alone is a bright feature where the brand name is very much applicable. The app also adds more color and style for personalization, rather than looking at and navigating my plain old boring emails. It seems also very convenient that this is probably the only application I need now. However, it would be really hard to let go of old habits, meaning I have to leave all old applications and switch to this, I am wondering how I would be able to integrate important stuff in it. I can imagine the first things for me to do would be a bit time consuming and require some deep dive organizing, but once I do get the chance, I believe moving forward it would then save me a lot of time and all the other fuss.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?

I found that Flow offers similar service. Well, after looking at their homepage, I can say I greatly prefer allthings. I felt I was bombarded with information there! I find all the features they have that were marked by green checks were way too many for me and it made me no longer interested to read, it’s not like just having an idea of what their product offers but I feel like I’m reading an entire journal. Pictures and icons and screenshots work more for me rather than plain words or sentences.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I hope this application continues to grow as it seems it has a lot more potential than other applications out there, it offers a lot and strives for minimalism. I will probably try the app sooner or later or recommend it to people I know who would surely have great use for it and make their lives easier and more organized.
