AppsMerge wants to simplify your daily browsing experience. It combines all your social network accounts, RSS-Feeds and Email-Accounts to one social newsfeed. Also you can share content from all sources to your social networks (and your friends).

    The site is about bringing all the social networking sites under one roof.(This is what i understood).A good initiative but there are certain points that i want you to notice :

    1)insecure, The site is using the http protocol, https should be used for more secure communication because we are also supposed to link our email etc

    2)Your site do not mention about any of the security features enabled. or how much secure is your website. We cannot suppose that people may login to a random website with their passwords, will make them feel insecure.

    3)No confirmation of email

    4)Not a valid sign up process, I was able to register with an email id : 1@gmail.com and password : 1 , This should not be allowed, check for a valid email in a better way, and try to implement integrity of passwords entered by the user.

    4) No way to know am logged in , other than the logout button,hope you got my point.

    5) Takes too long to get the feeds, btw, the super mario is a good idea, actualy i spend about half an hour on mario, thats why the review is late 😀

    Do you understand the signup process?

    Yes, The signup process is realy simple, but, you can take the user directly to the facebook or twitter page when he click the icon in ‘add more connetion’ page. as on now, user need to click the icon twice.

    Are you able to login?
    There was no trouble in logging in.

    Add some connections (like twitter, facebook, RSS-Feeds ect..) is it easy to do so?

    Adding the connection is realy easy, but getting the feed is a little sloww, btw,selection process of facebook, twitter to share,(the icon goin colourless ) can also include something like a button effect.The interface and colurs are really cool.

    After a wait, yes!

    Even after adding connetions, the link to add more connection stay there, that gives an incomplete look. Also if needed we hav ‘add connction’ on the top, so the link can be withdrawn after adding atleast one connection.

    It is an application where you can combine all your social networks, emial accounts and other popular sites into one place. Linking the sites was very easy and haveing one place to visit so that you dont have to keep going to every site and logging in and out is awsome!. Its about time someone thought about this kind of site!

    Do you understand the signup process?

    The signup is easy to understand and quick. Instead of haveing different usernames and passwords for every site you visit you have them all in one place using just one username and password. Im impressed!

    I was able to log in to all my accounts when I linked them to appsmerge.

    Adding apps was extremely easy and quick. I am already using appsmerge to link all my accounts after I saw the demonstration.

    I got results right away! It was amazing!

    I was able to share contect on just facebook or multiple social netwroks at the same time!! There is no other app like this out there!

    It is about consolidating frequently used applications like facebook, twitter, SU, etc and view them, share information easily without logining into individual applications separately. Appsmerge can do them in one go.
     
    Appsmerge works by letting users to connect to third party accounts like facebook, twitter, digg, etc so that all those accounts could be consolidated in appsmerge, which it will be able to retrive new feeds, news, tweets, etc.
     
    Do you understand the signup process?
     
    Yes I do. Registration is easy, enter the information on the bottom of the page, then add connections. I just wonder why the signup form will be located at the bottom of the frontpage.
     
    Are you able to login?
     
    Login works like a charm. But I want my id on AppsMerge to be shown on the page, say for example on the right corner, together with the logout buttom, then I’m sure I’m logged in.

    Yes, that’s a piece of cake for me. I’ve added Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and digg.

    Yes. But I guess this application is only for English. Other languages turned in ????, which I can’t read.
    Thanks for that Mario game for keeping me company while I’m waiting.

    Yes I can. But I don’t know the part right under the “message” box is for selecting which connections to share on until I share something. I don’t like posting to all media by default, better grey all of them out and let users choose before they post. If all connections are defaulted as grey then the post button will be unclickable, then it seems to solve my problem. I cannot rework something which I’ve posted, so I would prefer the safe way.
     
    Also, after I have posted something, the share form loads, but after it finished loading I didn’t see it on my feed page on the bottom table right away, I have to refresh it so as to check the message is posted. You should have added ajax logic for the part feed form reloads when a post is added.

    It is very clear that AppsMerge is undergoing testing phase right now, so that the layout and navigations are not completed. Css and website design are not detail planned yet and they are unfinished. In my guess AppsMerge Beta are for testing if the application works.
    For the application function it works very well. We can do exactly as described. There are some minor improvements to be done as I’ve said.

    I think for you case application form is not needed, just use login with openid or facebook or yahoo login will do. There are plenty of connections on this site, so users must have accounts created on them. Using openIDs will make the application run smoother. Say if I only use 1 connection listed on your site, I won’t border using AppsMerge, right?

    The application is really useful! I could close all the multiple tabs on my browser and just open 1 for all now.

    Done. Appsmerge clearly has something to do with Apps, and it appears to combine social networks to create a personalized news feed.

    Do you understand the signup process?
    

    Yes, you want users to sign up on the homepage.  I don’t like how it is below the fold. Most important things should be in the top of the homepage, and ideally you should not need to scroll down.

    After inputting my email, it shows a crying face and the words “Your social stream is empty”

    Done. It took me to the website to allow access to my account.

    I like the icons for the social networks on the add connection page.

    Here’s my issue with it – I mainly use FB. Don’t really have multiple social networks. No need to go to your site when all I have to do is log into FB. But let’s say I did have multiple social networks to monitor. This site could have some viability. It just seems like there is not enough draw to keep me coming. This seems to be designed to attract power users (many accounts to track).

    I don’t see any graphical errors or design flaws.

    Seems like there is a lack of content. If your goal is to keep people on your site, it seems like you are relying heavily on the content of these other sites. What if their content just doesn’t entertain? It seems like you would want more of your own content/services because it seems like you are re-packaging other’s content and I don’t see how you can make this business model profitable.

    thanks for the great feedback!

    We’ll definitly adress the security features in the next version!

    The time it takes to create the feed-entries is limited by the connection you add (rss is faster than facebook for example), because there are limitations to how fast you can query another site, but we will work hard to speed up the process!

    Your right, to use AppsMerge you should have multiple social networks and/or read RSS-Feeds and Twitter. If you just use FB thank there is no need for AppsMerge for you.

    The hole point of using AppsMerge is to see content of multiple applications merged into one newsfeed, i don’t see a need for content provided by AppsMerge.

    Yes I can tell what the site is about. However the video was about useless. It was very small to see what was on the screen and there was no commentary telling me what was happening. I then read the how it works and that set things straight and clear.

    Yes It is quite simple. I LOVE the crying smiley face that says you have no connections yet. However I had an error with the first site “Facebook” that I tried to add.

    Yes I can log in

    I had an error on trying to add Facebook. I tried 3 times but it would not work. I was able to add and email and Flickr. It was a very simple process and both items worked on the first time.

    Waited 10 minutes so far and no update yet. came back 40 min later and only thing updated was the RSS feeds.

    No I can only read RSS feeds everything else is dead after a total of 50 min.

    Even from the domain itself, I got the idea. AM is a site where you can view a newsfeed from all over different sites/apps that you use online. I have seen few sites like this one and by far, this is the one I actually intend to use.

    I watched the video and read HIW. It was easy to understand how to sign up with the clear directions. Suggestion for the video though – I think it would be better if there was a voice that narrates too.

    Yes. Pretty easily.

    Yeah. It’s pretty straightforward. Even if a lazy user wouldn’t read the HIW or watched the vid, he wouldn’t really get lost on how to.

    Yaaayy. After some waiting, I can finally see some news from Facebook.
    Regarding these FB newsfeed, there were posts that were put on other people’s wall but it wasn’t specified at Appsmerge that it was. Also, there should be some link to the post so I can view it directly in FB.
    Still waiting for gmail updates even after 10 mins.
    I like the fact that I can filter the newsfeed too by site because that’s a necessity.

    Yeah. But so far, I’ve only tried it on facebook.

    Okay, so first of all, if I was actually very strict when it comes to protecting my stuff online, I wouldn’t bother to use this site because it does not guarantee me some kind of protection or something.
    I also tried to use your feedbackbox. There should be some kind of verification that my message was sent just to be clear.
    The menu bar design on top seems kinda off.
    I like the whole simplistic design but it could do better.
    Please provide the option to add more than just one email account.

    Yes. The website is very upfront about it’s utility. Their is a lot of clarity on the purpose of this website and one can tell what it’s about in just about a glance. Also, I loved the fact that the website is so uncluttered. It is very ‘ to the point ‘. From purpose to the ‘how to’ video to registration, all on the same page. That is very impressive. Most sites waste time on inconsequential additional information.

    Though, i encountered some issues with the video. The lack of sound makes it very uninteresting as well as cumbersome to decipher. The font is too small and it makes it’s legibility very limited. Thus the simplistic nature of the homepage could be used in the video as well.  

    Yes. The homepage is sufficient to register users. They do have to be redirected to another page. This will greatly help more and more users and understand the site and effectively be able to register. There is nothing visibly wrong with the sign up process. 

    3. Are you able to login?
    Yes. This procedure isn’t time consuming at all.

    It is very easy to add connections. I am a voracious facebook user and i use some twitter. These two were quite easy to add. Hence i can’t comment on the rest of the social networking sites.

    It took almost half an hour for any newsfeed to appear on my page. I cross checked with my facebook which had been updated otherwise.

    Yes quite easily. But the process is time consuming. It might be an issue with my internet connection

    -It is a great concept. Merging apps is the next big thing. cheers.
    – simplistic nature of the site works. Users want hassle free social networking.
    -It doesn’t work for people who do not use multiple social media platforms. Keep something exciting for them as well.

    At first i see few sentences which i thought it is a ‘about us’ page not a home page. I read through the sentence view the video and how it works page, i can understand that your site i s providing a service which allow people to share or post anything from your service to many social networks which it connect all the social network. Means we doesn’t have to go to many social network and post thing that we wanted to post, we can directly post 1time from your feature and share it to all the social network. I like this concept which really convenient. But first i would like to comment about the homepage, I suggest that you should place the video before the few explanation sentences. As a visitor, i would like to see something that move such as a video, a slideshow, animation which explaining what your site is about rather than few sentences which does not feel interesting and attractive. Then the video is not interesting without music or sound. It is 2mins video which i does not consider as long. I suggest that you add a soft music or a person explaining the steps of it in the video. Add sound effect which will not make people feel boring.

    Yes, it is definitely easy and simple which does not require user to type in many details.

    I First, i suggest that you can add a slideshow explaining the steps of how it works, make sure the slideshow is at he top of your page which is not at the position where the current video position is in. The slideshows, you can add image that related to your service and add a short description, or you can add the screen short of how it works which is the picture in your video. If you don’t want to add sound into the video maybe you can consider the slideshow, however if you want the video then you can use the video and add sound to it which will make it more interesting. And place it above. People would like to see how good is your service before they sign up so show them how impressive is your service before ask them for sign up. For the sign up button, you can add a ‘sign up free’ button which make it bigger and bold it. When people see the free word they will have the feeling of trying it as it does not cost them anything. This can attract more visitor to sign up. Then with the slideshow or video it can make people feel that your site look professional. You also can add a listing of stating that what is the purpose of your site and how it benefits the user instead of writing it in a sentence form. This can avoid people from reading a long sentence. it could make people agree with the listing point that you stated and lead them to sign up. Also for the contact us page, i suggest that you directly allow people to enter their email and messages and send to you through the site instead of through the microsoft office outlook. I like your site and i will definitely use it if i have many social networks account. which it really convenience people. What you need to improve is the homepage design which make it more interesting and use few different color for different aspect.

    AppsMerge is the collaboration of all the social networking sites, in other words all at one place, AppsMerge is what the name itself clearly states ” the merging of applications”. What i like the most about it is, it saves you a hell lot of a time logging in and out of all the networking sites individually. You can have a cup of coffee in one hand and get all your newsfeed, status updates in one go.

    Signup process was quite simple, rather it was too simple, to my surprise appsmerge did not ask me to confirm my email address by sending a mail in my inbox and asking me to confirm it, like most of the sign up process do. It was surely time saving but definitely lacks some of the secure elements.

    Are you able to login?

    Yes i was immediately able to login, it took no time at all.

    It was very easy and simple, i am a full time facebooker, i do have a twitter id but i am not able to use it frequently, reason being i am quite lazy and it takes time to manage and update two or more social networking sites at a time, but i think i can manage that now thanks to appsmerge.

    The newsfeed was definitely slow i had to click whats happening and even then it took some time and i wasn’t also sure if i was suppose to click whats happening or the newsfeed should have automatically open, but i did had to wait for few minutes.

    Initially i was a bit confuse after writing the message as for what-to-do-next, i would say after writing a message when you say Select social network(s) Cancel,
    it should rather be Select social network and share(s) Cancel.
    and if its too big a line then you can surely divide it by taking the” select social network” on top with their icons and at the bottom you can place “share”, i hope i am able to convey my point.

    First thing I wasnt able to figure out if i can upload photos as well if i can do that with appsmerge, then i would say i couldn’t find it.
    secondly the newsfeed page is a bit boring rather not impressive at all
    the colors are very dull and i didn’t like the font style it badly needs to be change, it looks as if some pdf file has suddenly opened.

    But besides that i would say that Appsmerge is an excellent invention rather a very convenient one for all sort of people and age group, it saves you a lot of time from your everyday busy and hectic schedules, and its so very convenient for those who are not able to maintain two or more social networking profiles because of there respective reasons. I am sure appsmerge is a breaking and thrilling news for all.

    As I watched and read the purpose of ” APPSMERGE.COM ” it simply says its an application merging site. Which means you can simply means that it provides combination of every social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo Mail and other Social connected sites into one application that makes it easier for you to scan news feeds, mails and other updates and post thoughts of your own just what you usually do in social networks you’re in to. Easy to use, not wasting much time going through every diffenrent social sites.

    Yes, it is actually easy to sign up. But as a user of this application I still have some concerns about the SECURITY.
     
    As it was said in the registration, “YOU MUST ENTER A VALID E_MAIL ADDRESS”  (as I remember that’s how it was said, but I am not quite sure of the exact words). But as I enter my own valid E-mail Address, its response was it was an invalid one. Then I tried again i entered SARAH@YAHOO.COM. And it was accepted. How come a valid E-mail address become invalid and vice versa?
     
    No E-mail confirmation.
    No satety palicies or terms of agreement before the process is done.
     
    – Are you able to login?
     
    YES! I was able to log in. But as I scan through my page, there’s no other way I can notice that I’m logged in, except the words LOGOUT.

    Fortunately its really easy 🙂 ANd it made me think that I should use this application for more easy access through every social networks I have 🙂

Try to make it more FUN, add some more games, music, videos to watch while waiting for the updates 🙂 More social networks to add.  More things that would entertain a teenager while using it, because as we all now more teens uses social networks 🙂

Yes.  It appears to be a site where I can gain feeds from all of my social networking sites in one area.  I am assuming this is to save myself time and have all my newest information within arms reach, so to speak.
     
    Do you understand the signup process? Yes.  I think it’s very easy to understand.
     
    Are you able to login? Yes.  I was actually still signed in once I signed up, so I tried to log off and sign back in and I was able to with no problems.
     
    Add some connections (like twitter, facebook, RSS-Feeds ect..) is it easy to do so? Yes.  I played around with adding and my accounts were instantly added.  I am not seeing any feeds though.
     
    Wait some minutes, do you get any results on your newsfeed (select Whats happening)? As I am waiting for my feed, I am looking over other elements of the site including the Let’s Play a Game.    Within a few short minutes, my feeds started to show up.

    Have any additional feedback? I like the layout of your site, I like the color scheme and the ease and simplicity of it.  I feel it’s very likely that the site will be a big hit.  There is one thing I would change about the site though.  I would like to have an initial explanation of your site right at the beginning.  Had I not known what this was all about from here, I would not have known what to expect.  Therefore, I would like to see your bottom tabs moved up to the top of your screen.   i.e., I would like to see the How It Works and Contact information immediately upon landing on your site.  I feel that unless someone is looking for this information, if they land on your site, they may be confused, not interested and may not even bother to look around.  I feel it really is a great concept, but an initial explanation is needed.  I want that information to jump out and grab me when I land on the home page.
     
    As well, I am not fond of being taken automatically to Microsoft to contact you directly.  I would like that information spelled out on the page in easy to read format.
     
    On your Imprint screen, there is one spelling issue that I am seeing.    Under the Legal Notice, It should read:  websites LIE solely, not lies, I believe.  It just seems to read a little funny to me.

    It is about having the ability to access all of your applications under one site. it is very easy to understand what the site is about and how to use it. I understood before looking at the video, I think the video is good for those who may need clarification.

    the signup process is extremely  simple. I had no problems with signing up.

    I logged out and then logged back in with no trouble.
    Add some connections (like twitter, facebook, RSS-Feeds ect..) is it easy to do so?
    I succssfully added my email account as well as facebook, however I received an error message when connecting with YouTube. I received this message:
    The page you have requested cannot be displayed. Another site was requesting access to your Google Account, but sent a malformed request. Please contact the site that you were trying to use when you received this message to inform them of the error.
    Wait some minutes, do you get any results on your newsfeed (select Whats happening)?
    the feed from Facebook and my email loaded rather quickly.
    Can you share content?
    it was easy sharing content, i like that all of my connections were laid out before me and all i had to do was click which one I wanted to share content on.
    Have any additional feedback?
    I think that tumblr would be a great connection to add to this site. I would like to see more options of what to share such as photos in addition to link and message.

    From reading the short description on your page I could tell what was the basics of what your wanted to do but I was able to see get the full scope of how it works. I must say that after viewing your video after a few seconds I was turned off being that I couldn’t hear anything. I even went back to view the video once more and got a sign that said navigation to the website is canceled. The how it works was much better for me and it had simple screen shots to look at. Basically your site wants to merge popular networking site and user other personal sites to share personalized rss feeds.
    Do you understand the signup process?
    The sign up process was quit easy and simple expect for the fact that I wasn’t able to finishing signing up. I tried about 3 times and I kept getting the message to use a valid email address. The first 3 times I used a yahoo account so I swited to one of my gmail accounts and was able to sign up easily. You may want to check in to that because I should be able to use whatever account I have.
    Are you able to login?
    Yes I was able to login in just fine.
    Add some connections (like twitter, facebook, RSS-Feeds ect..) is it easy to do so?
    I tried to add my yahoo account but all I got was a runtime error message and I tried it twice. I tried to add my facebook account and I got the same message. This is quit frustrating.

    Since I was unable to even add anything I will certainly not be able to do this part of the feedback.

    There was typo on your what’s happening page. Add connections to your AppsMerge account to get startet! As you can see that should be “started”. I wasn’t able to do much with your site but it seems like a really nice idea. I think you that you website needs to be easier to follow and understand. The homepage is quit boring with being that you used such mundane colors. The gray really brought me down and I was not even visually motivated to read the content on your site. You have such a pretty green on your site and it’s to bad that you did not utilize it. You took the time to make a video then you place it a the bottom on the page. I would like to have seen a side by side layout with you putting you decscription at the top of the page and you adding you video to one side. I also think that some tabs would have been nice. Tabs such as: about us, how it works, add connections, support and things of the like. Just because your site is one this is not that difficult doesn’t mean that people don’t want to visually entertained. I really don’t like the fact that you just put two white tabs at the top of the page and put login next to it. It just seems like there was no effort. Something simple as putting username and password would have spiced it up a bit. When it comes to the contact page I would have much rather seen a place for me to just type in my info instead of having to up open up another page. I think that it also just looks better filling the space with just one sentence. On your how it works page this sentence was hard to follow, “You can simply deselect one or more networks by a click on the logo.” I quit frankly did not understand the words “deselect.” You have a nice thing going here I would just have lilked to seen more effort to draw me visually.

    Yes, the explanation about how it works is sufficient.

    Yes, the signup process is relatively clear. However, I was unable to sign up using a legitimate bellsouth.net email address that contains an underscore. Using a different bellsouth.net email that contained no special characters worked fine.

    Are you able to login?

    Yes, I was able to log in without issue after signing up.

    Yes, it was very easy to do.

    Yes, but it took at least 10 minutes, which I think is too long. I only had 1 RSS feed and 1 email, so I wouldn’t expect it to take 10 minutes.

    No, the share does not appear to work. I clicked the link on one of my RSS articles and when I clicked ‘select social networks’ in the pop-up box, nothing happened.

    1 – Typo here: As of today you can connect AppsMerge with you Facebook (should be your Facebook)
    2 – Grammatical error here: Moreover you can (should be Moreover, you can). While the grammar rule seems to be subjective about comma vs. no comma, adding the comma does add clarity to the idea you are trying to convey.
    3 – Regarding To start using AppsMerge you need to create a new account. To do so, just fill out the signup form on our homepage – it would be nice if signup form was a clickable link to the actual signup form.
    4 – On the RSS-feed page https://www.appsmerge.com/Connections/AddRSS, there is a typo Adress instead of Address
    5 – Grammatical error here: On the What’s Happening pageThis will take some time to complete, meanwhile let’s play nice game should be let’s play a nice game.
    6 – After connections are added, it would be good to give an idea as to how long it will take to be processed. After waiting for 10 minutes, I would give up if I were doing this for real.

    I was able to easily add my yahoo account and my youtube information. This time around the process was quick, fast and painless.

    In about 3-4 minutes I got the results from the newsfeed. Now this is great stuff!

    Yes I was able to share the content.
