About AroundTheWay:
AroundTheWay(ATW) is a social network with a focus on location based content with the goal of connecting people to people from city to city. Users can type in any city in the world and get live updates from users that live in that city. You’ll be able to see blogs, videos, photos, events and even outfits created by users in the city, giving users are clear sense and understanding of what people in that city like.
Video chatting is available for up to four people at a time, which users can use while browsing the site without interruption. In addition, there is a radio station that allows you to hear music from the city of your choice. All songs are uploaded by the members of the site, so you will get an insight as to what is the most popular songs to the people in that city. There is a dressing room on the site where users can pick from any piece of clothing and create their own outfits. You can pick clothes, shoes, hats, etc. This dressing room in a social network aims to revolutionize the way people “window shop” and ultimately purchase clothing as people can put an outfit together and see exactly how it would look together without having to physically go into a store and trying outfits themselves.
Small businesses also have a place on the site. They will be able to place ads based on location – so the ads will only show in the city the business is in. This will ensure that when a user visits a city, the ads that will display are only from businesses in that community.
Currently patent pending – dressing room, location based content, radio, video chat in a social network.

How would you use the site in your every day life?
Around the Way appears to be a social networking site, most likely a competitor to Facebook, Myspace and other social networking sites by being location-driven. Around the Way would be a great way to promote a local business or event by posting information about it to the local community.
Do you like how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world?
Yes, I really like that feature. Being able to do this almost gives the user the feeling of traveling virtually without having to actually go places. It is a great way to network and meet new people and see what’s going on in other communities.
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city?
Well, for example, if I was a cook – then I would see what kinds of local dishes people in different communities like. If my hobby was to collect rare items, I could post inquiries into different communities to seek out what each community has to offer. Not to mention it is a great way to just meet people and find out what is important to them.
How do you like the Dressing Room?
Wow. I really think the dressing room is pretty cool. It is a great way to show off styles of clothes. But it seems to be limited in clothes. Is the clothing selection going to be expanded or will the clothes be updated by what is currently in style? I’m interested in finding out more about the clothes.
Do you see yourself trying out clothes (virtually) and ultimately purchasing clothes from this dressing room? I would be interested in virtual clothes from the dressing room if you expanded the selection to offer more of a selection, and if they were comparatively valued to my other options ( Amazon, Ebay, etc.) I would not pay high prices just because of the dressing room. If they were good deals, I would consider it.Â

My impression of this site from the clothes selection and from the blogs posts that I viewed is that Around the Way has more of an urban vibe. Or at least that is what I see. I think if you want to attract a wider audience, then add more clothing to attract a wider range of demographics (example: more shoes than just air force ones) and more content. However, I am not sure if some of the blog posts on here originate from another source, or if all have been user-generated solely for this site.
Overall, I like the idea behind the site, going into local communities, and see the viability in making money off of the dressing room. Right now it seems like there is not a lot of content and some of the content is not reviewed by admin. I saw in the blog post a picture of two women in swimsuits, and it didn’t look family-friendly. Good job.
Actionable suggestions:  I would recommend drawing up a business plan and come up with a focused way to target the intended audience if you haven’t done so already. There is nothing wrong with user-generated content, but it should not be chaotic, and it should be in line with the company’s goals and values if applicable.
You need to attract people to real make this place come alive. I would suggest having a marketing person or team having tweets around the clock on twitter to pull people in.Â
Also, if you are going to go up against facebook, you need some heavy-duty advertising. If you are serious about an advertising budget, another place to advertise is on the big screen. Theaters reach millions of people and the advertising before a movie could show your brand and website and bring a lot of people to your site.
Lastly, is your site mobile-friendly? Have you viewed it from an iPhone or Blackberry or iPad? Does it look the same or do you need to make it more friendly for mobile devices since that is the future of social networking. I’d look into this.
How would you use the site in your every day life?
The site would be useful in several ways. I would probably use it the most to keep in touch and discuss events with friends in particular cities. Also, to research cities that I may want to visit or just to get an idea of what might appeal to me in a particular area. I love to shop so the dressing room would be a place that I would visit quite often to see what’s trending in other areas of the world.
Do you like how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world?
It’s very appealing to me as I love to travel. It gives you a firsthand look at the city- it’s people, culture, dress, etc.
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city?
How do you like the Dressing Room?
The Dressing Room is pretty creative. It’s fun to look at different fashions, also to try them on and see how they look. I especially liked the drop down of the designers. I thought that was a nice added touch, as some people are really loyal to certain brands.
Do you see yourself trying out clothes (virtually) and ultimately purchasing clothes from this dressing room?
As I said earlier, I love to shop so I could definitely see me utilizing this feature.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
There were several aspects that I particularly liked. All of the options you have included are great. Having the classifieds, real estate, jobs categories are awesome. The site seemed a little messy to the left of the main part of the page. Some words were running together. The color seems bland, maybe you could brighten it up a bit. The subcategories are good, that way if you just want to check out pictures, videos, blogs, etc., you can go right to it. Overall, the idea is good, inclusions are good, the Dressing Room is very original. I think you just need some tweaking and you’ll be good to go.
Sorry, had a problem inserting this question, here’s my thoughts.
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city?
By connecting with people from a city you can definitely find out items of interest based on your interests. This would save a tremendous amount of time by not having to search for things that you may want see, do, taste, experience. Besides the fact that it’s just fun to befriend others in different cultures and parts of the world
How would you use the site in your every day life?
I would use it much like any other social network, such as Facebook or MySpace. The main difference with your site seems to be that it encourages reaching out to strangers who live in a particular city of interest. I could see this being most helpful to people who are considering a move and want to establish some social connections beforehand. Also, if I had an interest in meeting people from other countries, maybe with thoughts of traveling there one day, this would be a good way to do that.
Â
Do you like how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world?
Yes, I think that’s a nice idea. I think it would be even more useful if you expanded to include a directory of hotspots that would appeal to young people in that city (i.e. bars, clubs, concert venues, etc.), news headlines from around the world, weather reports for each city, and maybe interactive maps.
Â
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city?
This question isn’t worded all that clearly. I’m going to assume you’re asking what about your site would be useful to me if I wanted to travel to other cities and connect with other people. With that in mind, I think the video chatting is probably the most useful feature. It goes a step beyond Facebook and MySpace and allows you to actually talk “face to face” to someone an ocean away in real time. If I was planning on traveling, it would also be helpful to know what was going on in a particular city so I could more effectively plan my trip. I expect the listings in your Events category would be helpful for that purpose. Also, I really like the Classifieds because it can be very hard to find a job or an apartment in another country, so this could be a godsend for users.
Â
How do you like the Dressing Room?
Honestly, I could take it or leave it. I don’t really think dressing up a virtual model would help me decide whether those clothes would fit or look good on ME. You really have to try on clothes to get a sense of how they look and feel. So this isn’t really a useful feature to me.
Â
Do you see yourself trying out clothes (virtually) and ultimately purchasing clothes from this dressing room?
Again, no, I don’t think I’d do that because I think you need to try on clothes in order to tell if they really fit and look good. Something that looks good on a virtual model won’t necessarily look good on me, and I’d have no way of knowing if the fit would be comfortable.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
I think you have an interesting concept, although I’m not sure how popular it will be. Facebook really has a corner on the social networking market. Arguably, your site encourages new friendships in a way that Facebook doesn’t, but I think MySpace tried to serve the same purpose and ultimately failed. It seems that people are less interested in meeting strangers than they are in keeping in touch with those they already know. The exception would be people who are interested in moving and/or planning an extended vacation. I think they might really like a site like this, but in order for it to be truly useful, I think you might need to include more practical features. For instance, it’s a nice perk that you can listen to streaming radio from any city in the world, but if I’m planning a vacation or thinking about moving, that’s not top on my list of priorities. I’d rather visit the Classifieds, watch the videos, and reach out to people who can give me firsthand accounts of their experiences in a given city.
Â
Also thought I’d comment and the look and feel of your site: I see you’ve chosen a very simple layout a la Facebook, even using the same blue and white colors. It’s definitely easy to navigate, but I’d suggest you choose a theme that will make you stand out from your competition a little more. As I said, it feels a bit too much like Facebook. Also, I’d put the Video Chat and Text Chat tabs in a more prominent location (like the top or left margin instead of the bottom). I didn’t notice them right away, which is a shame because I think the ability to communicate directly with someone in another country is one of your biggest draws.

Sorry! Just wanted to add one more thing: If you’re reaching out to those who are relocating or traveling, you might also want to feature hotel reviews and tourist attractions. Also, you might consider adding city-specific articles with information and tips for travelers and/or new residents. It would be really cool if you found some way to encourage your users to submit these kinds of first-person reviews and how-to’s. Just a thought.
How would you use the site in your every day life? Just from a brief checking out of this site, I would have to say this would be something I could really use while traveling for my businesses. I own businesses in several cities and it would be great if I knew ahead of time what I should definitely be checking out when I arrive.  I would also use it to connect with employees, friends and families.   I probably would use it to advertise job openings for my businesses as well.
Do you like how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world? Yes. I have relatives over seas, so it would definitely be fun to add that city network amongst family members and friends alike.
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city? I am not really understanding what you are asking for with this question, but what I would find useful in using this site to virtually travel to other cities is the fact that I can network for employees and the job while obtaining business contacts, social contacts and the like. I find it useful as well to learn about new cultures, societies, etc, while having a virtual feel of me actually being there an experiencing the city. It helps with socialization skills and always new marketing ideas. I can get a feel of how other people do things…. all while doing it virtually!!
How do you like the Dressing Room? This is a very fun feature that will draw in the targeted age group. It’s always fun to create your own outfits, being able to see them displayed together.
Do you see yourself trying out clothes (virtually) and ultimately purchasing clothes from this dressing room? Of course.  I think this is something that I would enjoy. I can see what it looks like, what it looks put together with various other clothing items. Yes, if I like the way it looks, I would definitely be willing to buy the outfit!
The additional features of this website are definitely exciting to me. I love the chats, I love the fact that I can ask questions for other members and interact with them either way. It’s definitely an inviting feature that I can post ads, start a Blog, create a wardrobe, meet new people. Overall, I am totally excited to get started using this site!!
How would you use the site in your every day life? I would use this site to keep in touch with friends and also to make new friends.
Do you like how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world? I do like the feature that allows you to see what others are doing across the country. Â I think that its very interesting seeing what people do for fun in other cities rather than your own.
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city? If I ever decide to travel to another city and I connect with someone on AroundTheWay.com then I will be more familiar with the hot spots of that city. Â I will also get to feel out a city before deciding if I really wanted to visit in in the first place.
How do you like the Dressing Room? I didn’t really care for the dressing room feature of this website. Â I do find it pointless in the fact that after 30 minutes of use you will have probably made all of the outfits that you could possibly make. Â I think that I would only use this feature if I was really bored or maybe a little younger. Â If there was a feature to actually purchase the clothing or maybe a link that brings you to a website that particular feature would be more appealing.
Do you see yourself trying out clothes (virtually) and ultimately purchasing clothes from this dressing room?I think if more brands were available then yes I would think about purchasing on this site.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have. Â I do find that this website is similar to facebook with a touch of twitter in it. All that is needed is something that pulls it apart from all the other social networking sites. Â The fact that you can sort of travel around is definitely different and I think if the virtual dressing room had more useful features it would definitely grab the attention of those fashionista girls out there.

How would you use the site in your every day life?
It really depends on how you are into social media. In my case, I find it useful to find out about friends/family that live in other countries or that I can’t get in touch as often as I wished.
I find interesting that I can view what’s going on in other cities. I also think that it is a great idea that each member can have his/her own blog and comment on whatever interest them.
It is also a great opportunity for thos who want to help others with their knowledge or somehow promote themselves as an expert in a specific topic.
Do you like how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world?
The name of the site does make me think that I can travel to any city and see videos and photos of that city or place. I like the idea of searching the information by place but I do miss a feature to find that information by people’s name.
I don’t see any way that I can look for my friends or search a particular name, maybe someone that I know has the expertise I need on a certain topic.
Note: I know that there is a search tool but it is less than obvious and I think that it should be more relevant, even if the site concentrates on location. This is a social site and therefore people are important and should be easy to find and reach.
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city?
I like the idea that if I go to a country I will be able to meet people that can show me around and therefore I can see more than a travel guide will tell you.
Also being able to find if there are any events worth of interest. If I find a conference in my field with speakers that interest me, I may program a little trip to that city.
It has plenty of possibilities
How do you like the Dressing Room?
I didn’t care very much about the Dressing Room but I think that it has possibilities.
The first thing is that it is not clear if the Dressing Room serves to create your avatar or if it is just a place to see real clothes.
If the purpose of the Dressing Room is to create an avatar, then I find certain features missing. That makes me think that it is to see real clothes.
If the list of designers grows a bit more, it may need more room to make it easy to use. Right now the list is relatively short.
I would suggest to include a search field on top with an auto-fill feature so the list of designers is reduced as the user types.
It is cool to dress the figure but it would be nice to have a button to start over from the beggining in case that you want to go back to zero.
I could be an idea to make it work both ways: as an avatar creation tool but showing real clothes. In that way, those designers would get some extra promotion from those avatars.
Do you see yourself trying out clothes (virtually) and ultimately purchasing clothes from this dressing room?
Clothes are one of the few things that I don’t shop online because each body is completely different. Having said that, there are exceptions and I did buy a trouser once. I would only buy something expensive if I already tried it on and I know how it fits. But if I don’t know if it suits me, then I would only buy if the offer is really worth it.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
When you sign up, you have to click if you’ve read the terms and conditions. That needs a link to terms and conditions.
This is a social site, finding people by their name, maybe even by their profession or their hobbies (that is, if they choose to share this information) would be a plus.
Although there is a search facility to find people by name, it is hard to find that that should be more obvious. I understand that it was done this way to simplify the design. Maybe if people could select if they want to search by location or by other means.
How would you use the site in your every day life?
I would use this site to do several things such as: chat with friends, make new friends, listen to the radio, upload photos, see what events are happening and check out some clothing.
Do you like how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world?
I do like the versatiity of the website. I typed in the current city I live in and a couple of others just to see what the results are and it was nice to see what is going on in other places. If I was traveling and I wanted to events or to hook up with people I knew it would be very helpful. I like how I’m able to type in and go to other cities it was very limited in the events and classified catergories. I’m not sure who adds events but I that would be nice to see more in those slots.
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city?
In one word, networking. In the times that we live in it’s almost essential to know people here and there. A personal conversation might turn into a job opportunity and with the classified section that might just be the help you need. Also because recsources may be so limited for people it’s a nice outlet for me to meet people they otherwise might not have been able to meet without physically traveling.
How do you like the Dressing Room?
I must say that I didn’t like the dressing room feature. Some people might get offended with the naked figurines. After a few minutes I was simply bored. This feature seems like it would be fun for young people. It would also be different if I could purchase the items I was putting together. Now that would have made it worth my while. Â
Do you see yourself trying out clothes (virtually) and ultimately purchasing clothes from this dressing room?
Yes, I touched on that In the previous question. I think you could take it a step further and let people customize there body type.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
I think the webiste needs to be more vibrant. At the onset it seems sort of visually boring. You have so many good concepts that I think it needs to updated to look more sleek and young. I think a little info about each city would a nice addition. Also the classified and events section need to be beefed up a bit. This website is similar to the other social networking sites so you really need to focus on one feature that sets you apart. For me buying the clothing and being able to customoze the body type would be really nice. It would certainly take shopping and your sight to a different level. I really liked the around the way using sign post, that was very nice.
How would you use the site in your every day life?
In my everday life, I am not sure that I would utilize this site a lot. I have a facebook account and have friends from different parts of the world. So not sure if I would need another social media website
Do you like how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world?
It is a great concept, but when I was playing around, I was not able to bring up any happenings from another world.  Maybe once people start using this site, you might be able to bring up more information. Again, I can do the same thing on Facebook and connect with people from around the world and talk with them and see what is going on in their town
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city? This would be useful to traveling and connect with people, but I found it a little difficult to find anyone. I think once this site catches on with others, there might be more people to connect with. Right now, I could not find anyone. Additionally, it took me a couple of minutes to locate the tab to search for people. Some might give up if they can’t find what they need and not use the site anymore.Â
How do you like the Dressing Room?
I really didn’t like the dressing room feature. It made no sense to dress my person. I would rather just post a picture of myself. I did play around and found that some of the designers didn’t have any clothes to pick from. I spent more time trying to locate outfits that I did getting dressed. I would probably not use this feature. It was too boring and time consuming for me
Do you see yourself trying out clothes (virtually) and ultimately purchasing clothes from this dressing room?
No, I did not see myself doing this. For me, I would rather go to a store and shop for clothes. This way I can try them on. It doesn’t matter how cute the outfit is, it may still not look good on me!
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
I really was not that impressed with the website. There are not that many people on yet, or at least that I could find. I also think that you need to make it easier to find friends. I also think that you should be able to search for both male and female and not just one or the other.
How would you use the site in your every day life?
I would probably use this site like I would use facebook. But to be honest, I am not sure I would use this site. I am just seeing people post their pictures and what they do on their own time. Plus, not every city has been created. I might find it more useful or interesting to use if there were more than a few cities that have been created. At this moment, I am not seeing the full potential of the site.
Do you like how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world?
I think that is interesting but it isn’t something you can’t do on other sites. Like I mentioned above, not all cities are created so you can’t really travel to any city in the world because some cities have nothing on them.
When I click on the most visited cities, I am not seeing anything about that city. I am just seeing what people in that city are doing and what pictures they are posting.
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city?
I do find it interesting to connect with people from around the world and I like that concept of your website. What I find useful is that you don’t have to know these people. They are wanting to connect with others just like you do. You don’t have to be their friend or wait for them to be your friend.
On facebook, everyone is worried about privacy and keeping their information kept a secret, but here it appears you don’t have to worry about any of that. It is just a way to chat with people around the world just for fun. I do like that concept. Like how chat rooms used to be.
How do you like the Dressing Room?
To be honest, I do not see the point of the dressing room. Maybe it is fun to do for little kids because it is like dressing up a doll, but dressing up that mannequin doesn’t tell me how it will look on me. I also, don’t wear the big designer name brands so I find this section useless.
The only positive I can say about it is, is that you can see what clothes go together and what does not match.
Do you see yourself trying out clothes (virtually) and ultimately purchasing clothes from this dressing room?
No. Just because it looks good on the mannequin doesn’t mean it will look good on me. Plus, I don’t buy designer clothes.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
I think once the cities all get created, the site will be a good site for people who just want to connect with people from around the world. I think it has potential.
In everyday life I do believe I would not only use it to connect to people that I know long distance, but to also to see what is going on in the world in places that we havent been.
I love the fact that if you are looking for something more direct you can cut thru the extra searching for a exact area. I think that this is a very useful tool that will be used more than expected for more things than youi originally thought such as businesses. I also like the fact that you dont have to be a “friend” to communicate with others.
The dressing room is a nice touch. I can see who you are trying to drive to the site but think that if you expanded a bit than you will have more people interested in this site. I do love the clothes and would definately concider trying some of them on.
For extra feedback I would say that if you did want to project your website to a wider variety it would be better because for example, alot of businesses can ue this and it would hel them tremendously also people who are traveling. I think its a great concept and start and also think that it could be way more useful than facebook, myspace, etc.
How would you use the site in your every day life?
If I had a business i was trying to promote of an aspiring artist trying to make it into the world I would use this site on a daily basis. This site  seems just like any other social network like facebook or myspace only instead of just talking to friends you actually try to get known for whatever work you are there for.
Do you like how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world?
Yes, I like that a lot because in order to get known around the world you have to know many people around the world and get them to like your things. This is a very good idea from the people that made this site; it seems like it would really help those people that are trying to promote their business.Â
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city?
It is useful for the people who are trying to promote the business they created or are trying to create. many people looking to use this site are probably trying to get known world wide so making friends with people around the united states helps a lot.
How do you like the Dressing Room?
The dressing room is fantastic! To be able to create outfits and looking at certain clothes other people have chosen to wear. The only problem is I don’t understand what the dressing room is actually for. The site could have a little explanation at the top of the page for it.
Do you see yourself trying out clothes (virtually) and ultimately purchasing clothes from this dressing room?
If the outfit was just perfect I could see myself using it to get the outfit. It would make shopping so much easier to already know what you are looking for in order to get in and out of the store.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
The idea of this site is very clever and seems like the perfect way to get known around the world for.
How would you use the site in your every day life?
This site is a social network in which you advertise or promote things such as businesses, music, and events in cities.Â
I would use this site to promote my business or to check out other businesses in my area.
Do you like how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world?
Yes I think it’s a great idea. It makes it easier to make friends or to check out businesses when your planning on traveling. It is also great to be able to promote your services in other cities.
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city?
I think it’s very useful to connect with people or find businesses when traveling to other cities. It’s great to have a plan when traveling and your sites helps with this. You can find people or businesses in which you want to connect with when traveling to another city.Â
How do you like the Dressing Room?
I think the dressing room is a good idea. It tells you a lot about a person by the way they dress such as age, likes, etc. It also helps you to express yourself.
Do you see yourself trying out clothes (virtually) and ultimately purchasing clothes from this dressing room?
No. I much rather go into stores and try the clothes on before purchasing them. Clothes may look good on a site but it doesn’t mean they will look good on me once I try them on.

When I clicked on the site, it took me a few minutes to understand what it was about. I think you should have more information about the site on the first site page.
The colors used on the site is a good start, but I think it would look better with more colors other than blue and white. You want the site to stand out.Â
I think this is a good site and a great idea. I am looking forward to being part of this site and watching it grow.
a)I would use the site in my everyday life as a recreational tool to get virtually travel around the world and to get to know about different cities and people and their cultures and their likes and dislikes about everything ranging from their favorite music and events to their favorite cuisine.
b)I liked alot how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world and to get to know alot of people .
c)I find the fact that traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city would enrich anyone’s life alot by getting to know about that city and it’s people and their culture and their likes and dislikes even their language and cuisine.
d)I liked the dressing room alot and i think it is a new concept of trying outfits before buying them.
e)I would see myself trying out clothes( virtually) and ultimately purchasing them from this dressing room if i liked the outfit and maybe if i got a good deal on the outfit.
f)I really liked the site and it’s new concept of virtually traveling to other cities and to get to experience different cultures and to get to know different people even trying an outfit virtually before buying it, but it seemed to me that the site focuses alot on new york state, especially nyc , for example when i searched for my home town of cleveland, ohio, few and even no results showed up in some categories, and i was wondering if you can expand the cities limits to different cities in the USA even the world, which i think will make your site a more valuable site for a lot of people interested in getting to know different cities and cultures.
How would you use the site in your every day life? I would use the site to maintain currency on fashion and/or entertainment around the world and to promote my marketing business worldwide.
Do you like how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world? Yes. It’s unique that a member can freely travel to other states within the country; usually only data relevant to the registered location is easily accessible.
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city? Data for research and business promotion can be gathered by city surfing through the site.
How do you like the Dressing Room? The Dressing Room is neat but honestly looks like something my daughter would enjoy more than myself. I’m more interested in the site’s incentives than what fashions adorn my avatar….. but it’s cute.
Do you see yourself trying out clothes (virtually) and ultimately purchasing clothes from this dressing room? If I’m bored or going shopping soon and want to see how a new wardrobe idea will look.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have. The site is great; I especially like the idea of city surfing.
How would you use the site in your every day life?
I would use the site to listen to music, but only if it’s my kind of music. I enjoy listening to gospel music. Also, I may use this site as a guide to find friends and relative in particular cities. It can be helpful if you’re traveling there and need to check out special events.
Do you like how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world?
I find it quite interesting and assume that it is a good idea for anyone even if you just want to site see. I think it would be more useful if this site would list more places for families to go and enjoy themselves like restaurants, church, beach, amusement parks, etc.
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city?
What I find useful is that you can meet new friends and learn from each other. This can be a excellent way to learn more about the city and surrounding areas.
How do you like the Dressing Room?
I really didn’t care too much for browsing through the dressing room, it seem unnecessary. After looking at the styles of clothes, I did not see anything that interests me.
Do you find yourself trying out clothes (virtually) and ultimately purchasing clothes from this dressing room?
I don’t think I would be purchasing clothes from this dressing room, first of all I did not see anything that I like. Their styles are not my type.

I personally think that this site needs a little bit more work put into it. I almost overlooked the video chat, text chat and radio because of its location. It should be in an area where it can be noticeable, not at the bottom. After all, this site can be useful.
How would you use the site in your every day life?I would use the site to connect with other locals in the area to find out what was going on in the are. I could see it being useful for someone new to town.
Do you like how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world? I was looking forward to more international travel but when I typed in Tokyo nothing was available. That was pretty disappointing.
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city? It was really cool to connect with other people based on the are especially if you don’t know anyone in the area. Its useful to meet people by location so you can already know what going on there and meet people before you even get into town.
How do you like the Dressing Room? The dressing room was just okay. the mannequins take away from experience because the silver just blends in with the outfit and the clothes.
Do you see yourself trying out clothes (virtually) and ultimately purchasing clothes from this dressing room? If the clothes were more original and the mannequin wasn’t so boring then yeah.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have. The site could could definitely use more color, design, anything to make it less boring. It is a real let down for such a cool website idea and land on such a boring page.

How would you use the site in your every day life?
The first think I did when I opened the site, is to look in the menu at the left of the page. I clicked on the Music category. I saw that inside this big category there is a lot of small categories of music genres. I took a look in some category and I listened to some musicians. I think I will use the music category and the videos category, that also seems to be interesting and nice.
Do you like how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world?
Yes, I like it. But It took a long time until I found a city with some information – music, outfits…
In the music category I wrote Tokyo and there was no music at all. So I tried another city – Paris, and – nothing shown up.
I was a little bit dissapointed.
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city?
I think it can be very useful. It will be fun toconnect with people from the other side of the world. But its not speical. I meant, I can connect with people all over the world in Facebook, Twitter, and with my E-mail.
How do you like the Dressing Room?
I liked it very much. I saw a lot of nice clothes, and I clicked on some od them. I was happy that I could see the name of the clothes company (nike, ralph lauren) and the specific model name.
Do you see yourself trying out clothes (virtually) and ultimately purchasing clothes from this dressing room?
I can see myself purchasing some of the clothes from the dressing room, but I dont use to buy from the Internet so Im not 100% sure.

I like the site. I think it may be more colorful and that will attract people to it. Also, I think there is tiny information of cities except New York.
How would you use the site in your every day life?
I live in a very small, rural town. That being said, I have family across the United States. A site like this would allow me to see what is going on in my hometown or in places that my loved ones are in. I also go on trips to visit my family frequently. Sometimes to Florida, sometimes to Washington, and sometimes just a short trip to Washington DC. A site like this would help me to prepare for an event that may be going on in the city that I am going to visit. Some of my family our getting up there in years, and they may not be aware of various events. This site would allow my husband and I to always plan ahead so we can have a pleasant time while we are visiting family.
Do you like how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world?
Yes, I love how the site allows users to virtually travel anywhere in the world. Sometimes we all need a break from our everyday lives. Being able to virtually travel to any city allows to sort of step away and be on any vacation of our choice. It also allows us to take a closer look at a city, before we choose to visit there. Each year my husband and I try to decide where we should take our vacation to. This site could really take the guess work out of that choice. We would be able to see what it is like before we actually go. I love that idea.
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city?
Connecting with people in a city that you are traveling to is very useful. For one it allows you to not be in a city surrounded by strangers. Another thing is, once your vacation is over you can still be connected to the people allowing it to somehow take you back to that wonderful vacation that you had. Maybe you will even have these people as lifelong friends. Finally, lets say you are moving to a different city. Being able to connect with people (especially before you go) will make the transition much easier. Whether the trip is for business or pleasure, connecting with people is always useful.
How do you like the Dressing Room?
Yes, I loved the dressing room. I buy 90% of everything online. This includes clothing, because you can find it cheaper then if you were to buy it in my small town. The dressing room shows me what stuff will look like together, so I can be totally aware before buying the clothes. All of this being said, I like the mannequin is too simple. It would be much more useful to be able to build one with your body type. Lets say someone who is a little heaver set, or maybe a woman who is well more womanly then the mannequin would not find the way these clothes look to be accurate. People can have any number of different body types. I just think maybe there should be more options when picking the mannequin, other then male and female.
Do you see yourself trying out clothes (virtually) and ultimately purchasing clothes from this dressing room?
Absolutely. Even though I will not know exactly what the clothes will look like on me, I will be able to see what these pants look like with that shirt. That to me is invaluable when picking out something to buy online. I will be using the dressing room when I go to buy my next outfit online.

The site is great, and the basis to it should not be changed a bit. The site itself could use a few more eye catchers maybe, but honestly the concept of it almost sells itself. Maybe the color scheme could be looked at, but I do not think that is what could make or break it at all.
How would you use the site in your every day life?
I would use it to promote my business and reach lots of people across the US. I may also use it to see what is going on in areas where I have friends to see what they’re up to. It can be used for several different reasons to socialize with people from all over.
Do you like how the site allows users to virtually travel to any city in the world?
Yes, that is the best part. Being able to travel to other cities and see what activities are happening is a very interesting concept. I can’t think of any other site that has actually put that idea in place. If you were moving to a different area, it can help make your decision easier, by showing what goes on in that city.
What do you find useful in traveling to other cities in the world and connecting with people from that city?
You can find out what people in other cities like to do, where they hang out, what is common in that area, etc. It also allows you to make friends in other cities and create new relationships. This can especially be useful if you like to travel, because your new friends can introduce you to good events or eateries to go to.
How do you like the Dressing Room?
I liked how you can create and name your own look and then share it with others on the site. It was so much fun, I almost forgot that I was just supposed to be testing it.
Do you see yourself trying out clothes (virtually) and ultimately purchasing clothes from this dressing room?
Yes, absolutely. It was like being able to shop and see what all the outfits will look like before deciding on what to buy. That’s a really nice feature that I could definitely see myself using.
