  1. 1) When I first arrived at the homepage, I first thought that I was being sold an Ebook device until I began reading the content. I then realized that I was being sold a numerous amount of different types of creative Ebooks. Having the ability to read what is being offered under the homepage picture, offered clarity and helped me understand just what I was looking at.  Also, listing creative books on the homepage peaked my curiosity as well, which caused me to navigate to different areas of the site.

    2) I had to get familiar with the website to better understand how making a purchased worked. Noticing the secure paypal link at the bottom of the page allowed me to weigh my options. I did like that with a click of a button, I was directed to my paypal account. I didn’t have to do much navigation because the buy button is located under all of the ebooks.

    3) The only thing that I would find helpful is a customer testimonial section. To be able to read other consumer’s opinions allows me to understand how effective your services are  and how well they have helped others.

    4) I was not able to find any other competitors other than Amazon. But considering that Amazon offers millions of different products, I didn’t consider then much competition in this area. Aspindle offers one particular product for a certain demographic, which allows them to dominate this particular area of business.

Aspindle was clean and easy to navigate. It loaded fast in my Firefox Browser and the site information was straight forward. I liked that the site offered contact information for inquisitive buyers and a blog that helps people in their creative journeys.

  2. 1) If you visit our website homepage, is it clear what we’re offering and how it can help you?
My first impression were good. Downloading time were reasonable since I have a slow connection. I liked the fact that the Ipad was opening last . It kind of gave the effect like it was meant to open like that. Because nowhere  it was clear to exactly what you offer for $4.99, it took me a good 45 sec before I clicked on Discover Think Unstuck that I actually realise you are selling download-able ebooks on creativity. I was kind of expecting this new software application were you would have to use your inputs to create ideas. Ebook store never came to mind and I kinda felt DUH :)
This made me realise that maybe more people out there would get the confused first impression I had. Therefore I would recommend you to say exactly what you do so people would not be left in the dark especially the first 30 seconds. These days if something is not super simple, people move on. I was also puzzled why you would set up a website to just sell a few ebooks. They must surely be very special. Their titles sounds great but there is a saying that you should not judge a book by its cover. I would venture to say the same. Suggest you have longer exerts of the books and a couple of reviews from other people. I truly believe people should have a good preview before they would buy. My suggestion is not to pride yourself on the price but rather on what the person will receive when the buy your ebook. There is too many good offers outhere and if a person does not know something he will never buy it only because it is a good price. They need to see and understand the value of it and why they would benefit from buying it now.
I am not sure how this book will help me since I se myself as a creative person and all my ideas comes naturally. I would use this book but do not know how it truly will help me.
    2) Does the website give you all the information you would need or want to make a purchase?
I do not see enough benefits and find it difficult to relate to the book. It kinda give me the idea of modern art and that has never been my cup of tea. The concepts and examples extracted from the books sound very intellectual and difficult to relate to. Only once I spend a lot of time clicking on all the buttons did the bigger picture become more real. I started to understand what the heart of the site is and it did give me a vague feeling of buying the ebook, However this feeling was because I started to like the ideas the creators of the website stand for, but it still did not give me a strong feeling to buy the ebook or any of them. Usually when people create these type of sites they provide you with a ton of values applicable to your own life and a free ebook that inspires you to come back for more. They also win you as a friend and gives a short presentation of who they are through a video sales letter. Your site has given me a feeling that I am walking into a bookshop with really great books but none that interest me enough to buy.
Suggest you tell the story why you believe we all are creative and how to awaken that God given ability. I love thinking out of the box and if you would have given me the ten reasons why it is more fun to be creatve I would have been all ears.
    3) What do you think is missing from our website, if anything?
Put in an opt in pop up page with a free gift like an ebook that tells people exactly what you do and stand for and you ask for their name and email to redeem their free gift. Use that as part of your marketing strategy and send them drip emails through using awebber or similar software. Aspindel is a very creative name but it does not tell the world you are selling ebooks. I am sure your goal is more that ebooks so I strongly suggest you add a tagline like “Awaken your creativity” or something that will tell the world what you stand for in 4 words or less
    4) Can you name any competitors to Aspindle? If yes: would you be more likely to buy from them rather than us? Why or why not?
I believe you have a strong niche market that I have never though about. The only competition would be amazon bookshop, if they have your ebooks to offer. Because your prices are very reasonable with immediate download and readable on all platforms plus a money back guarantee I would say they should not be real competition for you. I however do like the feature they have to take a look inside the books. That we all have walking into a bookshop and first glance through a couple of pages before we actually buy the book.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
When visiting your blog the most amazing picture came uo, however some of them took a very long time to open and finally when they did it were breathtaking. Suggest look at putting all pics with the same size that is reasonably fast to open. Also suggest to have more to offer than just ebooks. I you have time and like to inspire people with their creative side. why not offer personal coaching or lessons on how the be more creative. I strongly suggest you get behind the camera and tell people how creative people thing feel, breath move and go about things. You can add youtube videos and also once a month do a webinar for everyone. That is to mention only a couple. Your facebook application is a great idea and also the she buttons. These are very good word of mouth advertising. Suggest you add more share buttons with slightly bigger icons. Els for a start up webpage yours look pretty good.
You did inspire me to be more creative 🙂
All the best for future improvements.
    Your start uo feedback provider
    Francois 🙂

  3. 1) When I first entered the homepage I honestly did not know what you were offering.  The homepage looked very eyecandish(slick) and was nice to look at but I just could not figure it out. My confusion was thinking that the site sold ebook plans starting at $4.99 then I thought that you were selling a writing service to help authors publish their books on an ebook format.
    2) The website does indeed give all information that I need to make a purchase.  I loved that about the site that you just used paypal for making a purchase.  With paypal you could use credit card or even use your personal paypal address.
    3) A security badge at the bottom of the website.  Without the badge I feel iffy about making a purchase.  With a security badge like a godaddy site seal that displays that the website is protecting your information.  I also wanted to see a privacy policy and a terms of conditions at the bottom of the page.
    4) Competitor would be amazon.com.  I love shopping on amazon.com.  Buying from amazon is easy and has a wide variety of ebooks
    5) Website design is great.  The website is missing the following
    -terms of conditions page
    -privacy policy page
    -returns page
    -website protection seal

  4. 1) If you visit our website homepage, is it clear what we’re offering and how it can help you?
My first impression is that you are offering ebooks about creativity. The ebooks come in multiple formats allowing them to be read on multiple devices. I’m not that clear on how this would help me in any particular way as it’s not clear what the focus of the ebooks is from the homepage apart from a reference about being more ‘creative in your life’ which could mean many things to many people.

    2) Does the website give you all the information you would need or want to make a purchase?
From a purely practical point of view I can see the purchase price on the green bar and also where to click to read more information. It is clear that the download now button will take me further and the Paypal screen enables me to pay easily via credit card.
Although there is a short sample from the book it would be even more helpful to see a content page and perhaps be able to look inside the book to see the format of the print, illustrations etc. This would help me to make a decision about which title to purchase.

    3) What do you think is missing from our website, if anything?
It would be good to see a link from the individual book description pages to the author information included on the About page. Also a photo of the author would help to establish more of a connection and credibility.

    4) Can you name any competitors to Aspindle? If yes: would you be more likely to buy from them rather than us? Why or why not?
Just doing a simple Google search reveals a number of creativity ebook suppliers. I would probably tend to buy from a site that has a variety of titles on offer from a number of authors.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Because the “Propel your creativity” heading is hyperlinked I assumed “Read on any device” and the “Money back guarantee” headings would also link to something but they don’t. Also, when filling out the contact form if a mistake is made the error message doesn’t indicate what the problem is by indicating missing information on the form it just tells me there was a problem and to go back and try again.

  5. 1) If you visit our website homepage, is it clear what we’re offering and how it can help you?
Yes I would personally think so. As soon as I visit the Aspindle homepage I get the idea that it’s all about creativity and that the ebooks that you’ll get is for the creative mind. I think it is well put. There’s info here and there and doesn’t over flood the homepage with info.

    2) Does the website give you all the information you would need or want to make a purchase?
It kinda does. But at first upon going onto the homepage I thought you could get the creativity ebooks all for 4.99. It then dawned on me that each ebook is 4.99 when I clicked on an ebook to get more info about it. Maybe you should be a little clear on that. Plus a little direction/piece of instruction on how to purchase an ebook on the homepage would help a lot too.

    3) What do you think is missing from our website, if anything?
More ebooks. There’s a small collection so far, which is understandable. I would suggest that each ebook has a section where users can rate it and leave comments/reviews about the ebook. Every time I shop for something online I always look for reviews or ratings first before buying the product. It’s nice to know what others’ opinions/feedback are before you buy something. I think the site looks great, but maybe there should be more creativity that should show on the site, whether it be the layout, graphics, font, etc.

    4) Can you name any competitors to Aspindle? If yes: would you be more likely to buy from them rather than us? Why or why not?
Probably those other sites that sell ebooks as well, such as Amazon or iTunes. But the difference is that Amazon is broad and doesn’t focus on one genre or topic. It has a wide variety and selection. Unlike with Aspindle, it’s all about creativity. If I wanted something that focuses on enhancing my creativity I’d pay Aspindle a visit. If I want to find more selections I’d browse through the other sites. As long as I find something I like on Aspindle, then I’ll buy it. But it won’t stop me from looking through other sites as well.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
My answers to the previous questions pretty much covers all the suggestions I have. I really do think that with a wider selection people would automatically go to Aspindle to look for creative ebooks. There’s a lot of people out there who want and try to be creative and would like to enhance their creative bone but need help with it. So I think Aspindle would be a great source. I think once the word about Aspindle spreads then people would check out Aspindle directly, knowing that it’s all about creativity. It can also end up being a main hub for artists, writers, project managers, ad specialists, students, teachers, models etc. I’d really like to see Aspindle grow, and I do think that it has major potential to become a huge success!

  6. 1) If you visit our website homepage, is it clear what we’re offering and how it can help you?
I had to read through the website in order to determine that it was selling ebooks on how to be creative.  Initially, I thought it sold ebooks of others who are publishing and selling their books online.
    2) Does the website give you all the information you would need or want to make a purchase?
I do not think it provide enough information to hold my attention.  Maybe it should reflect some tips to get the readers “hooked” and then refer the ebook for more detailed information.
    3) What do you think is missing from our website, if anything?
I think the website would be more productive if it allow others to publish ebooks to sell on how to be creative in specific areas.  Some examples are writing (short stories, novels, how-tos, biographies, autobiographies), art , sewing, sculpting, inventing, woodworking, and creative business ideas.  I think that the topic “creative” is very broad and is a good start.  But what about the next level when the reader has decided on which avenue to explore his/her creativity.  Maybe the site can later expand to reflect this.
    4) Can you name any competitors to Aspindle? If yes: would you be more likely to buy from them rather than us? Why or why not?
Amazon, Ebay, and Barnes and Nobles are the ones I can think of.  These sites allow the user to search for creativity of specific areas of interest.  However, Aspindle prices are more affordable.
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
The website is a great start.  I see areas where it can grow and become a very useful and resourceful site.

  7. 1. From reading the home page, it seems like you sell ebooks in various formats, particularly self-help ebooks targeted to creatives.

    2. The purchase process seems straightforward: Visitors can click on any book icon under “Ebooks” to find out what the book is about, how much it costs, and which devices it will work on. Payment is through PayPal, and you offer a money-back guarantee. On the other hand, the book descriptions are rather vague. It might be nice to see a more detailed summary, a sample chapter, and table of contents for each book. I’d also like to see a page count. Your pricing seems reasonable, but I might not feel that way if it turned out each ebook was only 20 pages long. 🙂

    3. As I said above, the book descriptions are rather vague. I feel like I’ve stumbled on something like The Secret, by which I mean that these books seemingly promise to reveal a system that will almost magically turn on a wellspring of creativity. Yet I don’t feel like I can fully trust those claims without more information about what’s inside the pages. I’m sure you don’t want to give away too much since you want people to read the books, but I think you need to strike a better balance between what you disclose as a teaser and what you save for buyers. That’s why I suggested a sample chapter and table of contents. Right now, the samples you have are too short to be meaningful. A sample chapter and table of contents are often just enough to get readers interested without giving away all your best secrets.

Also, I’d like to know more about the author. I thought your “About” page would be an author bio and was surprised when it didn’t say much about the writer at all. If you’re claiming to be an authority on creativity, I’d like to see some evidence of that via a professional bio rather than just a few paragraphs about why creativity is important. You don’t need to convince readers that creativity is important; you need to convince them that you have something valuable to share about it.

    4. Sure. Amazon and Barnes & Noble immediately come to mind. They have tons of ebooks, and I’m sure some of them must deal with creativity. I don’t think it’s a particularly unusual subject. Actually, I searched on “creativity” in the Nook store, and it returned 142 pages of titles. I wouldn’t be more likely to buy from them just because they’re major retail sites. But I might be more likely to buy from them because chances are when I’m looking for an ebook, I’ll end up browsing a big site I’m familiar with rather than searching Google for a small, independent site that I don’t know exists. It’s not bad to have a personal web site, but unless you have amazing search engine rankings, I’d suggest you also offer your ebooks through some of these major retailers just so people can find them.

Also, this is a minor point, but I notice you only accept payments through PayPal. Not everyone uses PayPal. People who don’t may be more inclined to purchase from a major retail site because they provide more payment options.

    5. I’ll give you my comments for each page of your site:

    Home Page
I don’t know if this is significant, but my very first impression was that this was either an informational site for creative types or a site for them to sell their own inspirational work. Within the first 30 seconds or so, I had figured out that the site actually sells your own ebooks, but that was my split-second impression. You know that button that says, “Get Think Unstuck”? Somehow, despite the image of an e-reader, it didn’t register that that was the title of an ebook. I thought it was a misspelling of “Get Things Unstuck.” I figured it was an invitation to read more about how to break free of writer’s block and write your own ebooks or something like that. I suggest you italicize “Think Unstuck” on that button so it’s clear that it’s a book.

The home page doesn’t make it obvious that this is the personal web site of an individual author. If you’re going to build name recognition, I’d suggest you put your name front and center. For instance, under “Propel your creativity,” you might add “…with these ebooks by Tanner Christensen.”

The home page also doesn’t sell readers on the idea that you’re going to help them in some concrete way. A lot of people would like to be more creative, but the book descriptions are vague, and even before visitors get to the descriptions, they need to believe that you’re going to give them information they need. So you should start doing that on the home page. Right now, the placement of your selling points focuses on the formats you offer and your money-back guarantee, but these honestly aren’t your biggest selling points. I think you need to refocus your selling points on specific ways that readers can benefit from your books. For example:

–All artists wrestle with creative blocks. Learn to break through those walls in three easy steps!
–Discover the daily brain exercise that will help you generate new ideas while you eat breakfast. Yep, it’s that quick and easy!
–Two heads are definitely better than one. Inspire your office team with the “creative relay” brainstorming technique developed by the founders of [insert big business].
–Struggling with how to turn your creative vision into a money-making business? Find out how ten leading creative innovators built their own foundation for real-world success.

Obviously, you’ll have to tailor the selling points to your own material, but you probably see what I mean. It’s not that I think you should abandon your current selling points, but you could move them further down the page. Honestly, $4.99 isn’t that much money, and if the first thing I see is that you’re guaranteeing me my money back, I’m going to think you don’t have confidence in your own product.

    Ebooks
No problem with the design of the main page or with the subpages for each book.

    About
I already mentioned that I wish this was more author-focused. Also, I’m mystified by some of the images. What does a photo of an apartment building have to do with creativity? And what’s that picture in the middle of the bottom row? I don’t know…These images seem static to me. I’d prefer to see creative professionals at work–painters, dancers, architects, scientists, street mimes, whatever.

    Blog
Nice inspirational posts. A decent complement to the ebooks. Wish they offered more practical information, though. If they did, I might be more likely to assume the ebooks could really help me.

    Contact
Form is okay. I always appreciate a phone number and physical address, but this isn’t the kind of product that really requires that.

In conclusion, it’s hard for me to comment on the ebooks themselves because I don’t get that much of a glimpse into their content. And that’s really the problem I see with the web site. I think it needs to sell visitors on how they can benefit from your ebooks, and to do that, you need to reveal a few of your trade secrets as teasers. Also, since these books are the work of a single author, it surprises me that little effort has been made to build more of a brand identity for him. When someone is claiming to be an expert on a subject, readers want to know why, both for reasons of credibility and because they’re more likely to buy when they feel that they “personally” know and like the author and understand what he’s all about.

    Good luck!

  8. 1) Wow i like this site.  It was very easy to see that this site sells ebooks.  The title of the site shows up in my informaiton bar on landing on the home page, wich clearly says Creative eboooks by aspindle.  I found it easy to find the ebooks that they have to offer and the discriptions of the books content was right on the button.  The site clearly tells me that these books are on inspiration and hightening my creativity, it is very easy to see what this site offers by way of ebooks and what the goal is.

    2) This site deffinatley gives me enough informaiton to make a wise purchase and its guarantee policy makes me feel at ease regarding making a purchase of an ebook.

    3)  I would not change a thing about this site at all as a consumer who shops on the internet often, i would use this site, if i was interested in the product offered.

    4) The largest competitior to this site that i can think of would be Amazon, and i would only use it over Aspindle becuase i know its reputation and securities when it comes to online purchases.

5)I would like to compliment the creators of this site on a job well done.  Ive created many sites for diffrerent kinds of industries in the past and i would be proud to have created Aspindles site should i have created it.

  9. 1. My very initial impression, before reading intently, was that you were an e-reader application for mobile technology that focused on creative readings. I also thought that the $4.99 price advertised was the price of the app. After clicking further links and reading on I discovered that you are just providing the e-book which could be read on different devices. Thus it is a bit confusing on first look, although the page itself is very appealing and easy to read. The addition of a mission statement style tagline at the top of the page could dissuade this kind of confusion.
    2. I liked that there were concise and informative blurbs about the e-books included before you even click on the title. I also liked that some of the books included short blurbs about the content. These both provide adequate information.  Given you offer a money back guarantee, it offers comfort with this level of information. Other information that could be helpful would be the number of pages and a table of contents.
    3. Do you provide an area for customers to login to an account, see past purchases and re-download if needed? I did not see this included, but it would be valuable to customers, and potentially even cut down on customer service inquiries due to lost files.
    4. There are hundreds of independent creatives out there that are also providing e-books to supplement their businesses. Most are very niche, for example Tara Gentile runs websites and features e-books geared to the creative community looking to sell their products. Your product and hers apply to a similar niche but provide different perspectives. Because different perspectives are provided, I would not say one is more likely to win my purchase over another.
    5. I very much appreciate the layout and aesthetic of the site. It is easy to navigate and to read. I would be interested to see more information about the authors of the e-books, maybe and author’s bios page, as opposed to just a link to their website.

    Feedback sought:
    1) If you visit our website homepage, is it clear what we’re offering and how it can help you?
First impression of the website is that you offer creativity oriented eBooks aimed at inspiring thought/creativeness. Your services also offer ‘risk free’ services, in that if you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can receive a refund and keep the book.s

    2) Does the website give you all the information you would need or want to make a purchase?
On the landing page, the only indication on how transactions are processed is a small PayPal notice on the bottom right corner. Clicking on a book and the ‘buy now’ option brings the user to a PayPal confirmation.

Given that not everyone has PayPal or understands/appreciates it, having additional pay options would be a good idea.

    3) What do you think is missing from our website, if anything?
Given the vision and the precise focus of your services, there isn’t much missing. However, if, as your About Page suggests, you plan to limit yourself to creativity oriented books (or Tanner Christensen books), you may want to present that on your landing page (i.e.: “Featuring Creative Resources by Tanner Christensen”). Otherwise, the immediate impression is that your site has a greater scope of services than it really offers, and it is a bit of a downer to see that you only have seven titles currently available.

As well, if the focus is primarily on Tanner Christensen, maybe have more information on your site (somewhere, anywhere!) about who he is– or at least make the link to his website more noticeable and immediate)

    4) Can you name any competitors to Aspindle? If yes: would you be more likely to buy from them rather than us? Why or why not?
Given the limited focus that Aspingle.com has (which is at the moment solely on creative thinking resources), I can not name any direct competitors. However, I can find almost all the books you are currently presenting on Amazon and Kobo as downloads usually at a lower price than what you are offering ($3.99). I checked on my iPhone and found that I am able to install and download Kindle and Kobo books, so I am not worried about compatibility between platforms. So, I would go with the lower priced provider.

I would also go for a hard-copy, with real paper, purchased at a real book store.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

Again, more information about Tanner Christensen–maybe a bit of hype about him on the landing page/home page.

    Alternative payments besides PayPal.

Maybe diversify. I would actually like to see some of the books and works that inspired Tanner Christensen to be available to. Why? The ideas that inspired the ideas are just as important.

Like your Facebook page (maybe a bit more information in your about section there).

For your blog, in your 8 best places to be creative… you forgot to mention the shower. Isn’t that where everyone has great ideas… only to be forgotten once the water is turned off?

Site also works and looks good on iPhone

  11. 1) If you visit our website homepage, is it clear what we’re offering and how it can help you?
Not exactly at first glance.  First thing that came to mind after looking at the picture and not reading anything was that you were selling a device.  Then I saw the price and button “Get the eBook now” and once I saw that I assumed you were selling just one eBook.  After having a good look at the homepage I now think you are offering/selling a range of creative eBooks.  Reading the information on the homepage does clearly tell me these books can help me be more creative in life and the books come in three different formats.

    2) Does the website give you all the information you would need or want to make a purchase?
The homepage itself doesn’t fully sell the idea to me enough to make a purchase straight away.  I’m always a bit skeptical when I see “money back guarantee” so I like to have a better look before jumping straight in and making a purchase.

Having a look around the pages I’m still not fully sold. I would like to see more variety and choices, at the moment there are only 7 books available to buy.  I do like the captions/reviews from the real readers.  Some of the books also had sample exerts from the actual book which is really good to be able to get a feel for the book before you buy.  However as a customer I would like to see a longer description of the books as some of them only had a very brief one or two sentence description.

I liked the “About” page. It was upbeat and motivating to read and this is what would inspire me to buy a book, more than the actual book descriptions.  Some of this vibe needs brought into other aspects of the website, especially the book descriptions and home page.  “From toaster ovens and light bulbs, to the internet and post‒modernist artwork, everything you know and love has been created as a result of someone’s ideas. Without creativity the world as we know it would be much duller, darker, and a lot less interesting. You have ideas and dreams that can help shape the world. We want to help you make your ideas happen.” For example I think something like that little blurb there would work well on the home page.

    3) What do you think is missing from our website, if anything?
I think there are a few little things missing. One thing I think the site is missing is a bit of color throughout the site. The products you are selling are supposed to inspire creativity and so should your website. I feel it is a little white and grey at the moment and lacking motivation and inspiration.

More eBooks added over time would be great to see.

Also it would be nice if users could leave reviews about the books purchased and customers could read these reviews and recommendations from other users before purchasing. I like to read reviews before purchasing goods on the internet and I know a lot of other people do to.

    4) Can you name any competitors to Aspindle? If yes: would you be more likely to buy from them rather than us? Why or why not?
I cannot think of a direct competitor but I haven’t ever looked specifically for creative eBooks so I’m not too familiar with this area.  However I do know Amazon and Kobo sell the same/similar books.  Currently I would probably buy from Amazon for a few reasons. 1) They have more variety.  2) The description and review of books on Amazon is great.  3) I can read customer reviews and ratings without leaving the site.  3) It’s a trusted brand/site.  4) It’s a one stop shop.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have
I think you are looking for a very specific market and I think if you market the website and products right this could be great for that specific market.  However I think you need to have the largest range of creative books and exclusive books out there on the internet in order for this to be successful.

  12. 1)Is it clear what we’re offering?: Yes its very clear. The site design is very awesome & well constructed. Easy on the eyes & can navigate efficiently. The content seems very intriguing, supporting a awesome business direction.
2)Purchasing Info?: Very clear & concise. It labels out a good sample plate. The site needs a better catalog & product directory, I feel it doesn’t sample enough for the price tag to stand out more than the description of the titles & content.
3)What is Missing?: Better tabs. It needs a bit more descriptive content. Great site layout & design. Needs more infrastructure to establish it as a brand then just a service.
4)Can’t name any competitors, which makes it a vital service.

  13. 1) If you visit our website homepage, is it clear what we’re offering and how it can help you?   I think it’s clear that you are selling eBooks.   However, I’m not quite clear on how it can help me just by visiting your homepage.
    2) Does the website give you all the information you would need or want to make a purchase?  For starters, I would like to see some of the explanations from your About Aspire page to be contained on the first page.  When I land on a homepage, I want to find all the information I need clearly defined.   People are lazy these days, they want facts without having to search for them.
I appreciate the fact that you offer a money back guarantee on your products.  That makes me feel a little more secure about ordering.    Also the fact that you offer  Paypal eliminates any fear or hesitation I might have about placing my order.
I always look for contact information as well, which you have.
    3) What do you think is missing from our website, if anything?  Upon landing on your home page, I would like straight to the point facts on what you offer, why, where, etc.  I am not seeing a reason to search for additional information on the products.  I would like that information to smack me in the face when I land there.  Loud and clear.
I would also like to see a FAQ tab where I can get additional information all under one tab.   Maybe you could condense the About page with more of that information on the landing page and the rest on the FAQ page.

    4) Can you name any competitors to Aspindle? If yes: would you be more likely to buy from them rather than us? Why or why not?
I’ve not really searched for a place to purchase eBooks rather than Amazon.   I feel that their reputation and availability makes them second to none.    I might try one of your free eBooks to see how that goes before I choose to make a full purchase.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.   Again, it is suggested that what you do, who you are, and why be made available as soon as I land on your page.   I want to see what you do without searching for more information.  Maybe replace your About page with a FAQ page.
On your pages, both the homepage and the eBook page, the first thing that looks odd to me is that the green LEARN MORE tabs are uneven.  It looks sort of messy.  I would like to see this a little more organized.
Overall, the look and the feel of the website looks a little unbalanced.  I would check through your fonts.
Another small detail I found:  On the Contact page, I would suggest you capitalize the word Hello.
Again, on your landing page, I would maybe place one eBook that you are offering with the order information very clear in order to lure buyers into your books.

  14. 1) If you visit our website homepage, is it clear what we’re offering and how it can help you?
Immediately after reaching the homepage I knew exactly what your website was offering me. But with just a short couple words explaining what the eBook was for doesn’t seem like enough information to really help me understand how it could help me. There is indeed an “about” page, but most people wouldn’t take the time to see that, let alone click on it.

    2) Does the website give you all the information you would need or want to make a purchase?
Like I stated above, I don’t feel you gave much detailed information. The about page talks mostly about who you are and how you have come to where you are now, and not so much about the product you are trying to sell.
    3) What do you think is missing from our website, if anything?
You should talk more about the product you are selling, list some examples from the eBook itself to give your potential buyers a taste of what’s in store.
    4) Can you name any competitors to Aspindle? If yes: would you be more likely to buy from them rather than us? Why or why not? I really don’t know any other eBooks right off hand that are like yours, but I’m sure there are others out there.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Try adding more info about the eBook, give some examples or samples from the book itself. Add a testimonial page or maybe a few feedback messages you’ve received from past buyers. Help your potential customers feel comfortable with their investment.

  15. 1) If you visit our website homepage, is it clear what we’re offering and how it can help you?
Yes, they sell over 100 ways to creative – EBooks

    2) Does the website give you all the information you would need or want to make a purchase?
Yes Price is clearly labled on home page

    3) What do you think is missing from our website, if anything?
Testimonials might make it a bit better

    4) Can you name any competitors to Aspindle? If yes: would you be more likely to buy from them rather than us? Why or why not?
Amazon – Aspindle offers one particular product for a certain demographic, which allows them to dominate this particular area of business.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Aspindle was clean and easy to navigate. I liked that the site offered contact information for inquisitive buyers and a blog that helps people. Th color sheme and layout is very professional.

  16. 1) If you visit our website homepage, is it clear what we’re offering and how it can help you?
Even though idea of the site is very clear, the first impression i got after seeing home page that your are selling some book reader like kindle from Amazon. After going through about page i got idea that its only ebook for creativity. However, I’m not quite clear on how it can help me just by visiting your homepage.
    2) Does the website give you all the information you would need or want to make a purchase?

Information is quite clear & concise. But the site requires proper catalog & product directory. Money back guarantee seems good.

    3) What do you think is missing from our website, if anything?
More eBooks choice would be fine. Also more used reviews on book purchased. Video review would looks great which can inspire other people make the purchase and also add creativity to their daily life.

    4) Can you name any competitors to Aspindle? If yes: would you be more likely to buy from them rather than us? Why or why not?
As such not direct competitor because all site provide online book shopping option with wide range of books like Amzon.com. Flipkart.com.
I would buy from Flipkart.com as they have wide variety plus different payment option like cash on delivery. More customer reviews and rating for the book and also it’s branded site.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Today’s market start up come with unique ideas so as you are here but the thing which i found it its very limited in your case that books on creativity it can be unique collection but you have to make it huge so that users can attract towards it.
You can provide books on categorized topic on creativity like business, art, design , healthcare because creativity is everywhere in all the different area.

I would also suggest to put some more focus on creativity on your site like it can be creative game, puzzle or news. So if you want to be unique in the market of creative books. Your website should be like web portal of creativity so when user think of creativity he should think of Aspindle.

You can also provide some unique features like when user come to see sample pages from book u can provide feature on site to send those sample pages to that user in pdf format by email so that user can read it by taking his own time instead of quickly go through on website.

  18. 1) If you visit our website homepage, is it clear what we’re offering and how it can help you?

At the first sight I visited the homepage, I had the impression that the website is selling ebooks, maybe due to the gigantic text that reads “Four ebooks 50% off…”. But when my eyes stucked on the those electronic tablets, another idea came into my mind: I wonder whether if its primary products are in fact those electronic tablets and that the ebooks only serve as supporting products that can be bought at special prices or as bonus for tablet purchases. Only after seeing around and reading more attentively that I can be sure that you are indeed offering ebooks.

The homepage itself is well-designed and looks professional, incurring the assumptions that you must have quite a number of ebooks from many subjects to offer. Even after scrolling down I still think like that, that your website will offer me ebooks from wide array of subjects, ebooks that were creatively written from unique point of views. Only after browsing more pages that I came to full realization that you only offer ebooks from one subject (creativity) and that there are only seven ebooks available at most. I don’t mean to say that I was disappointed. It just gave me the feeling that “Oh, I expected too much.”

I always consider myself as very not creative person. Finding new ideas is almost an impossible task for me. Most of the time I do things the way I was taught or in the most systematic procedure I can think of. Of course I want to be able to be more creative, but throughout the years I have lived with the thoughts that creativity is something like God-given: you cannot do anything with that except polishing it up here and there thus, if you don’t have it then you don’t have anything to polish, right?

If you don’t agree with that and you believe that creativity is something that can be taught, learned and trained, then you must tell so to people like me. Convince us about that, that everyone can be as creative as he wishes and that you can show me the way. Unfortunately, I hardly find it in your sales pages. Throughout your website as if you only imply that your ebooks will be useful only to those who are already creative, to polish their already creative minds. Or maybe that’s exactly what you intended your products to be? I don’t know.

    2) Does the website give you all the information you would need or want to make a purchase?

Yes, the website gives me enough information that I need if I want to make a purchase. It is just, as far as what I can grab from the information you provided in the website, I cannot be sure whether those are the ebooks about creativity that I need right now. The usage of Paypal as payment processor is also very convenient for me as I am one of those who are very wary in giving away my credit card information, even through those so called “highly secured connection”.

    3) What do you think is missing from our website, if anything?

More detailed information about what each ebooks will discuss will be nice. Together with more sample pages and readers’ testimonies will add more credibility to the ebooks. I think you also need to tell us about how many pages each ebook contains as there are many people out there who are very concerned about this.

    4) Can you name any competitors to Aspindle? If yes: would you be more likely to buy from them rather than us? Why or why not?

I know many ebook sellers in the internet, https://www.ebookz4sale.com/ and https://www.diesel-ebooks.com are some of them beside the gigantic Amazon. But they are general ebook stores, lack of information about the ebook they sell is more acceptable to most people as they have too many ebook collection to maintain. But for a very specific ebook seller like you, people would require much more detailed information particularly if you author the ebooks yourself. So yes, if you only provide such little information about your ebook like right now, I would be more likely to shop somewhere else for the same topic of ebooks as there will be many more choices there.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

Although I agree that your homepage was well-designed and has professional look, I don’t think the picture used can represent creativity well enough. It is simply too bleak. It seriously lacks bright colors and elements that may represent creativity such as beautiful hand drawing or artistically ornamented pictures or phrases. This image https://www.ideachampions.com/weblogs/Innovation.jpg may better represent what I mean.

Your current homepage design may fit very well if you intend to sell electronic tablets or provide information about current gadgets. The color combination is just right for that purpose: giving the impressions of modernity, trustability and solidity. But to represent creativity? I don’t think so. I think you should really find a new picture that can better represent creativity than the one you currently use.

The second feedback that I can give you is: present yourself more. A photograph of yourself would be a great addition. The “About Aspindle” page is too vague for people who would like to know better who is the person behind these look-promising ebooks. And the first four paragraphs there would be better to be put on the homepage (in the form of narrated video clip maybe) so that visitors would be able to grasp the importance of being creative in their everyday lives.

And the last comment I want to give is: honestly I don’t really like it if you sell your ebooks so cheaply like that. I, like many other people in this worldly earth, have this thoughts planted deep in our minds that there are no free meal and that nothing good comes out cheaply. The best things in life are maybe free as some wise words may say, but I believe they are all worth fighting for, which effectively makes them not cheap at all. And money is the worthless-usable thing in the world, so never ever sell your hard work so low in terms of money.

I suggest you to sell the ebooks with higher prices and offer some bonuses to compensate it. By selling them at higher prices, you will also be able to offer commissions for those who have better capacity to sell than you, leveraging your power much more.
