About BrightWorks:

BrightWorks is a micro-volunteering app that allows charities to get projects and tasks completed for free online by a global volunteer community, in an effective, simple-to-use and easy-to-get-started way.

Why BrightWorks?

1. Increasing support for nonprofits
BrightWorks aims to take the hassle and distractions away from getting support from volunteers, so charities can concentrate on their core activities.

2. An easy and engaging way to volunteer
BrightWorks allows volunteers to work freely on the charities that they’re passionate about from wherever they are and whenever is most convenient.

3. Demonstrable volunteering activities and social impact
It is increasingly important for charities to be able to measure and share their impact in the community. By automating data on participation rates, causes supported, volunteer hours, active volunteers, location and more, BrightWorks aims to make demonstrating activity and social impact quicker and easier.

  1. Visit https://brightworks.me/. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

What is clear is on the right side of the site. It is for charity work site where you create tasks and monitor the progress.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

Color is plain. Those bubbles seems like a news images scattered around the main content.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

It asks for signup without any visual representation or demo. Signup is very invasive unless you expect something immediately.  There’s not much to like about this site. It’s not done in  social media type if this site is for social media.  While the colors seems ok but not outstanding. There’s not much information for me give in and would rightly get out immediately.

What do you think of the sign up process?

Signup is invasive if you can’t do anything in the website without user experience or expectations.

Have something that directly create task and during submit, then ask for some limited information like email address, name but don’t sign it up until he entices to read some responses from others who reacts on those tasks.
If this is task related, then task should be assigned. So this site still lacks of information regarding its objective.
