My initial impression of the home page after having a look around is that it is very well done. It has very clear information as to the service the website provides, and everything is organized on the page nicely. This organization allows for easy navigation on the page. I was able to find anything I wanted within seconds. I was encouraged to create an account because of the advertisement saying that beta sign ups will be upgraded to a 1-year Gold Plan. That is a great way to drive traffic to sign up with the site. After creating an account I noticed that the layout of the dashboard was very easy to navigate with a simple, yet useful user interface. I did, however, encounter a 404 error when I tried to re-log back into my account. The cause was determined to be unknown. I tried to log into my account again after that, and it worked just fine. The error didn’t bother me too much because the site is still in beta, and I know that there are still a few bugs/issues to work out. Overall, though, the site looks clean and crisp, and I had a very easy time navigating around it.
1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
The home page is informative
and includes clear messages about what you are offering. I wonder if the four features mentioned at the bottom of the page “Simple UI / Developer focused / Collaborate / Communicate” should be further up ‘above the fold’ as they mention some key points about your product that you may want to emphasise more instantly.
2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
I wanted to find out more about your product / services so clicked the Product tour + pricing button. Could this button be more prominent and above the fold ?
I like the intro video as you cover all the salient points in a short timeframe. The quality of the images in the video are a bit grainy though. I also clicked on the screenshots accompanying each of the points at the bottom of the page however when they open up they are quite hard to read as the font is very small. On the whole however the information you provide about your product is useful and informative.
Â
3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
If I was a programmer I would be interested in investigating this product more thoroughly to see if it would meet my needs.
Â
4) Sign up and look around. Was it easy to use? If not why not.
Great, I didn’t have to check my email for a confirmation message, this makes the process less time consuming and convaluted. I created a test project and then went to create some issues but it took me a few minutes to figure out where to add the issues. I saw the Issues button at the top of the page which I clicked on but this took me to a screen to search for issues overall which wasn’t what I wanted to do. Then I saw the orange New issue button which lead me to the place I needed to be to add an issue. Perhaps this process could be clarified by the New Issue link being inside the Project Details box or at least a reminder of the next step in the process of how to add issues.

Overall I found your site informative and encouraging. If I worked in this field I would be interested in trialling your tool to establish its usefulness to my work.
The first thing I noticed when I went to your website was the layout and the color scheme selected. The layout is very simple, yet effective. Under the title Bushido Tickets made specifically for you, it mentioned that the service was simple and clutter free. The homepage reflects this statement very well. I also like the color scheme selected: black and white with a hint of blue and orange. Again, it makes the website simple without being boring.Â
I was trying to find more information on the service provided, and didn’t really find what I was looking for. First of all, the homepage  doesn’t really explain what the service is all about, although I suppose someone looking for issue tracking would already know what it’s about. I followed the link to the pricing and tour page and found a little bit more information there. I think it would be nice if there was more detained information, however. A FAQ page would also be nice. I liked the video on the pricing and tour page. It explained how simple the service is to use. At the end when the narrator stated “you’ll love Bushido the more you use it. Good luck.” To me, it sounded like the user won’t really enjoy or like/love it until they’ve used it several times. Also, “good luck” just doesn’t sound so good. It’s not as professional as it could be.Â
I was looking at a few other issue tracker websites to try to get a good comparison. Your pricing is good. it makes for good competition. I like the fact that you have a free forever account whereas other websites only have trials. I also like how your platinum plan has unlimited projects whereas other companies’ plans only have 25 or so at the same price point. The price alone would persuade me to sign up. As good as this is, however,  other websites have more detailed information explaining their services and features. Because of this, I might be more inclined to go with something a little more expensive if I thought I was getting a better quality service.
Sign up is easy. I really like the fact that it only asks for email, username, and password. It’s not a page-long form that some companies use. Once you sign in for the first time, it’s easy to fill out your entire profile information. Finding the projects tab at the top and creating a new project was easy. It took me a little while to continue from there. I wan’t quite sure what to do next, even though I watched the instruction video on the pricing and tour page. It would be nice if there was a comprehensive tutorial to help me through my first project. I was finally able to create an issue. It was easy enough to upload an attachment. It was easy to accept an invitation to another project (Bushido Beta bugs). Once I accepted the invitation, I found it easy to navigate and work on other issues. Again, I think it would be nice to have tutorials that explained all of the features clearly.Â
Overall, I like the website. I like the simplicity and theme of it all. I think the biggest issue is not enough information.Â
1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
The site theme is good and attractive. It’s a good point for this site.Â
Â
2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
No enough information about the site and placing an FAQ for new site visitors would really help encourage them to join the site. Â
3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)? Not really. There were no enough information on the homepage to what I can really do with the site.
4) Sign up and look around. Was it easy to use? If not why not.Â
Definitely the site navigation is easy and very user friendly. Â
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
there are still a lot to improve none-the-less this site is promising. If managed well it could work for a lot of  software developers.
1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
When I opened the website and saw those dark colors and that comic book-like storyboard letting me know why it was necessary to visit this page I was attracted and amused, amused is a good thing people always want to smile. Without saying much I already felt welcomed to the site. I like the used of dark colors and it’s simplistic approach without sacrificing detail. Clutter free being an important thing on this site, I felt that the site builders and managers truly understood what that meant.Â
2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
Since I’m not too savvy with what the site offers, what kind of issues it would solve for the visitor then I decided to look for an explanation in simple terms which I found on the first page after scrolling down a little. I took a look at the tour and found an intro video which I found to be a little boring and unimpressive, it didn’t have that wow effect I was looking for. Looking at other sites similar to this one I didn’t find a reason to choose you over them. At least not based on that video.Â
3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Once again as I was taking the tour I did find reasons to join or sign up because of the free trial because anyone who offers anything for free must be confident that they’ll come back to actually purchase their product. I liked that it wasn’t bombarded on me but rather that it was subtle, there if you want it because otherwise it would have been like pushy salesman.Â
4) Sign up and look around. Was it easy to use? If not why not.
After signing up I went directly to creating a project and it seemed simple to take care of and begin a project, the site was still attractive and user-friendly. I even got an invite to a project by Bushido Beta Bugs.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
The site was simple to use and attractive as I signed on I thought that a ‘live-chat’ wouldn’t be a bad addition to the site but aside from that I thought the site worked well. Â
1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
My initial impression is that the site has an up-to-date design that will appeal to the target audience: programmers.I did notice the site is not responsive; it does not adjust to the size of the browser and, on my computer, must be viewed with the browser maximized for best viewing.
Â
2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
I wanted to find pricing and options. I saw the “Product Tour + Pricing” button on the right. It would be nice to have that button above the fold where visitors don’t have to scroll down to find it. The top right side of the side would be ideal in my opinion.
Â
3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
I am not encouraged to sign up because the site did not do enough for me to convince me. Perhaps the tour video should be on the homepage, above the fold, and there should be a utility bar at the top right for basic information that most people look for like Pricing, FAQs, and Contact Us.
Â
4) Sign up and look around. Was it easy to use? If not why not.
Signing up was very easy via a very simple and short form. There is a top menu bar with the basic links I need, which is good. It also has a Get Started part at the top that helps guide new users to make the first steps. It seems pretty simple to use. Perhaps to simple considering the target audience is programmers. Programmers might expect more options than what I see here.
Â
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
The design of Bushido’s website is really nice in my opinion. However, the homepage is perhaps misusing some prime real estate at the top by using too much space for members to sign in and not having a utility bar with easier access to more information. The sign in process should be induced by the click of a Sign In button, or maybe a smaller form positioned in a different area. This way the site can focus more on selling the features.
1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
Excellent color format. Very clean design with modern web design features. Pleasing to the eye. Stick figure style is very cool and easy to understand. Site does tend to draw in visitor to want to discover more.
Â
2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
Clicked on product tour to learn more. All made sense for anyone who is a developer and is looking for this type of product. Video is helpful and makes concept more clear. Although for beta testers, the sign-up looks inviting and simple as well.
Â
3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Yes, as stated above, easy and simple, ad free. No concerns. Terms and privacy are spelled out so all looks in order.
Â
4) Sign up and look around. Was it easy to use? If not why not.
Signed up – found to be fast and simple. Was able to start new project, but not able to do actual work in project. (beta)
Â
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Nice looking well designed and developed site. For the specific service offered, very appealing and up-to-date with regard to current trends in web design.
1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
Â
Looking at the home page, the purpose of this site is not immediately clear. “Issue Tracking What kind of issues. A friend is planning her wedding, she has issues to track. Is it that kind of tracking? I do not think so.
Â
Being that people only stay on a site a matter of a few seconds if their interest is not piqued, it would be of great value to make it immediately clear: 1) what the purpose is and 2) why I need your site over any others. State the problem; what is the pain point for developers: why do developers have issues with tracking?
Â
Yes, visitors will see this IF they happen to come on to your site just when one of the slides showing the problem is showing. But if it is not showing, the average visitor will be off the site before it pops up. Additionally, approximately half of the slide is below the scroll on my computer. That includes big, bold “CHAOS,†so most visitors will not see it.
Â
And, yes, under “Bushido Tickets made specifically for you†it mentions developers. But, please, do not make your visitors work to find the information, because most will not bother.
Â
The SOLUTION might be to reorganize the home page. Have the slides above the scroll. Lead with slides that highlight the problem, so people see it as soon as they land on the site. Make that the main feature. As important as your company’s name is to you, it is not as important to your prospective clients. What they care about is THEIR problems and how you can SOLVE them.
I am uncertain what your logo indicates. Maybe it is clear to developers.
Â
The overall feel of the home page (i.e., color, design) is not inviting. It is not a place that I would want to stay. This obviously is personal preference, however, if you are looking to reach the largest number of developers, you might want to make the site more appealing to a broader population.
Â
2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
Â
Since I am not logged in yet, there is not much I can do. I went to the “Product Tour and Pricing.†Again, you might want to reorganize this page.
Â
Start by making your name and logo smaller, possibly in the left hand corner. Put the video as the main feature and the pricing along side or below. You could show the word “Pricing†(and possibly, the three kinds) above the scroll, so people know that it is there. But I would not lead with it. Why? I do not care how much it costs and until I know if it is something I want or not.
Â
The video does give me an idea of how Bushido Tickets will make tracking issues and, therefore, solving issues easier.
Â
3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Â
If I were a developer, I might sign up for a free trial. As a general rule, it is helpful to try something to see how well it really works before buying. Â
Â
With your site, this is even more true. Why? Because the couple of pages I could see were not well organized. Therefore, I do not feel confident that you can help me be organized. I want to make certain that you can.
Â
4) Sign up and look around. Was it easy to use? If not why not.
Â
I first logged in with Twitter and then signed up as BetaTester. Both were easy.
Â
My pages look exactly like the video. It seems fairly intuitive, although as with anything, it will take a little getting used to.
Â
When I logged, then wanted to log back in, I noticed there is no way to log back in, only to sign up.
Â
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Â
I think this is an excellent option for your target market: individual developers and small teams. The cost is reasonable. It is a great way for individual developers who create their own teams around a project to collaborate, as well as debug.
Â
With a few improvements to your website and a little marketing, I think, you will do very well.Â
1. As I understand it, Bushido Tickets is cloud software that enables programmers to track “issues” as they write and test apps. On first glance, I don’t quite “get” the significance of the logo or the dark backdrop, which looks a little eerie. But the cartoon slideshow is cute, and the intro text and selling points get your message across clearly and quickly.
Â
2. I decided to find out how this ticketing process works. I didn’t see any navbar tabs, so I went straight to the “Product Tour + Pricing” button on the bottom right. (If I wasn’t reviewing this site, I might have missed that.) …Yikes! This takes me to a page that immediately throws a pricing plan in my face. Not the best idea when I’m not sold on the product yet. It’s always good to reserve the pricing info for last, after you’ve already presented the product…Ok, the product tour video is great. It’s nicely paced and clearly demonstrates how Bushido Tickets works. Good job!…I’m not sure if I like the horizontal layout of the features below. It looks a little overwhelming…But the answer to your question is yes, I found what I was looking for and no, nothing was confusing.
Â
3. I’m not a software developer, but if I was, I could see how Bushido Tickets would be helpful, and it seems reasonably priced. Of course, I don’t have experience with other comparable services out there, so I don’t really know how yours compares.
Â
4. I easily figured out how to create an account with no problems. I found the “Home” page visually appealing and easy to navigate. Under “Projects,” I created a project, and under “Issues,” I created an issue and chose to work on it. My “Projects” page immediately displayed the issue and showed that I was working on it. I was also able to leave a comment on the issue and search for the issue using an appropriate keyword. I was then able to close the issue.
Â
I appreciated the little helpful hints along the way but almost didn’t need them. It wasn’t hard to figure out what to do step by step after watching the intro video. The whole process was smooth, and I didn’t notice any bugs or glitches.
Â
5. I found the Bushido Tickets SaaS to be visually attractive, well organized, and easy to use. Again, I don’t know what your competitors are offering, but I can see how this would be very helpful to software developers.
Â
The only fault I can find here is not with your app but with the web site itself. Here are my suggestions:
Â
Home Page – Too dark. It reminds me of a horror movie poster. Try brightening it up with a white or light colored background. The logo, which looks like a flag at a road race, doesn’t say much to me either. This page also needs a navbar with the following tabs at a minimum: “Product Tour,” “Pricing,” and “Contact Us.” I think visitors may overlook the “Product Tour + Pricing” button at the bottom of the page, and they shouldn’t have to search for your contact info at the bottom, either, especially not if they’re going to be paying for this service.
Â
Product Tour + Pricing – Divide these pages, one for the tour and one for the pricing. As it is now, this page is too long, and you should always present your product before you ask anyone to sign up for it. As I said before, your intro video is excellent, but I’m not crazy about the layout of the features and screenshots below. I’m not even sure you need the screenshots given that you have such a thorough intro video. As for the features, I could see you lining them up in a circular fashion around a central cartoon graphic (in keeping with your home page slideshow). I also see a lot of web sites presenting their features vertically down the page with staggered alignment (some left-aligned, some right-aligned) to be more appealing to the eye. Usually the features will be accompanied by little icons for visual attraction. I think that approach could work here as well. As for the pricing chart, it looks fine; I just think it needs its own separate page.
Â
That’s about it. I think Bushido Tickets could be a winner. The web site presentation just needs a little work. Good luck!
1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
Â
I like what I see on the website home page. Â Unless you are familiar with computer in a deep way, you may not understand what it is that the company does though.
Â
2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
Â
When searching around the site I believe there should be a FAQ page, to explain in detail what it is the company does and doesn’t do. Â I cannot find a FAQ page. Â More information may need to be given for more people to sign up for the website.
Â
3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Â
I am not encouraged to sign up for this website at this current time. Â I am not convinced I know all of the company’s offerings.
Â
4) Sign up and look around. Was it easy to use? If not why not.
Â
I did not sign up because I am not sure what it is they are looking for from a consumer.
Â
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Â
The colors of the site are wonderful. Â Just add a FAQ page and explain more in direct detail what the company does.
1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
The large logo is above the fold (above the bottom of the screen) which means I had to scroll down to find out the info about this website. At first glance, it was hard to find out information about this website.
Although black does say ‘elegant’ the black on this website isn’t quite classy enough and therefore, it just makes it look too dark.
2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
The orange sign up button was easy to find, as there wasn’t anything else to add to confusion, but I would make that sign-up button bigger and more inviting.
3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
I appreciate that it is a FREE sign up and would be willing to sign up for free. As the info about this website is below the fold (the screen) it doesn’t make it readily available to read or scan. And because the info is below the screen, it doesn’t look too professional and for this reason, I would be looking at other websites as well as this website.
4) Sign up and look around. Was it easy to use? If not why not.
The sign up was easy as the sign up button lead me directly to the sign up page. As I mentioned before, I would make the sign up button larger and would get across the urgency of signing up during the beta stage. Join NOW! or Sign-up HERE! A sign up button that only says ‘sign-up’ sounds too passive and uninteresting.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
My suggestion is to move the logo of the banner to the left side, bring the info that is below the fold (or screen) next to the logo and put the sign-up button just below the info (but still ABOVE the fold or bottom of the screen) and make it bigger and more exciting for people to sign up!
Say something like: ‘Sign-up NOW during Beta for YOUR free 1 Year GOLD Plan!’
I do like the cartoons as it adds a sense of humor and lightness. Don’t over do it with !!!!!! but a few !!! in the heading will make this website more captivating and exciting!
1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
My first impression was an awesome type of anime website. Second to that was the spirit of Bushido, which is the warrior code. (I am a martial artist.) It was only after reading a bit that I figured out that your website was actually a ticketing system.
2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
The first thing I always want to go to is pricing. I scrolled down a little bit and noticed that there was a button called “Product Tour + Pricing” and promptly clicked on it. I was pleasantly surprised to see a free account available which was incentive to want to sign up. I also noticed the word “forever” under the description. My next question was do I need a credit card or form of payment to sign up? I was also pleasantly surprised to see some video there. It’d be nice to have seen this on the home page though, or at least a link to it.
3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Yes, I was encouraged to signup for the free account. I had some trouble finding the “Sign up” button. Also, the lack of a site-wide navigation left me feeling naked when navigating the website.
4) Sign up and look around. Was it easy to use? If not why not.
The sign up process was very easy and intuitive.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I really liked the design of the landing page, especially since I am a fan of Japanese artsy/anime type things. I however found the lack of a persistent navigation unsettling, and felt like I could get lost. I suggest adding at least a side navigation.
1. Initial Impression: Clean design, easy to read and immediately understandable as to the basic services provided. Not crazy about the cartoons in conjunction with the rest of the sleek design. Like the concept of juxtaposition but it isn’t quite working. Can some of the elements be moved further up the page, feel like some things are lost in having to scroll so much to get to them. The slideshow doesn’t appear until I scroll down so for the most part it was not effective.
2. Find something on the site: Looked for plans and pricing. Really apparent where to go to find the info and once there it is laid out pretty clearly. I am making assumptions about what issue tracking is, which leads me to wonder if it is something that needs to be explained or is it such an industry norm that anyone who might need it would already know?
3. Are you encouraged to sign up, subscribe: yes, totally non-threatening invite, the free version is very appealing, the links to sign up are very apparent. Beta signup upgrades is very enticing and smart.
4. Sign up and look around. Was it easy? Sign up was very easy. Looking at the sample issue creating I now really understand your service. Layout is simple, seems effective. Posting issues is easy.Â
5. Additional comments: overall is seems very usable, it took me a second to pick out the closed issues in the lineup but think I prefer them left in the chronology of issues raised.
1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
It has a fun, inviting appeal to it.Â
2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing? Yes I found the pricing and products tab. It was not confusing at all and I really enjoyed the video the explained how to use the site.
3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)? If I was in this field of work I know that I would purchase the product it seems to be very easy to use and extremely helpful.
4) Sign up and look around. Was it easy to use? If not why not. It is very easy to use because the setup was explained in your video before I signed up. So I went right to the tab to get stated and clicked on the start a new project button and it gave me the option to name the project. I also checked out the issue tab that pulled up a list of issues as I typed which showed me the different issues already submitted I think this is a pretty neat issue.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have: Everything is working fine all the links at the bottom of the page are working just fine I as able to connect to Facebook, Twitter, and you blog. I was also able to check out your privacy policy, your announcements, and terms of use. Great idea for consumers who work on group project.Â
The website layout was great and attractive to the eye. The text and pictures weren’t on top of each other and were simple to read and actually encouraged you to read it! Not all sites manage to get the proper sizing and spacing of things on their website, down but you did. The free gold membership offer was really tempting and would get users to sign up definitely since they would only go on the website for issue tracking in a project and not random things. Point is, the website was straight forward and didn’t have any unnecessary info everywhere that would tire people and bore people. Also I looked at the video of how the product works and seems like that was nicely done too. Your website and program has everything that’s needed in programs… Simple and straight forward to the point! What can I say? Now I have something to compare other websites to. One thing I would suggest is putting the video on the front page instead of with the pricing. If you are going to introduce the program then introduce it fully, don’t leave that video next to the pricing.
At first sight, the theme, colours and icons are pleasant, but the first thing someone can notice on the page is sing up methods, and only in the bottom of the page there are some interest pointa for the first time visitor.
Next I have tried to find out what the site is all about, if it may be of interest for me. I could only find one video which explains how Bushido works (how to create projects, open and close issues…). So far the site seems to be appropriate for IT people who have issues often and can help each other. I like the privacy and the comunity, but I am not convinced to open an account: except for the privacy, I can find the same thing on forums, maybe even faster and better answer due to the number of members.
I have signed up and created a project. It is easy to use and very organized, which is useful when you have many projects, or you want to review an old issue. I believe the site is useful for a team of people who want to help each other with their issues, and remain private and organized, but a common person who just wants a quick solution imediately for an issue may find forums more helpful.

Â
1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
At the onset, I thought the website is really neat. Its not cluttered and no distracting marquees or colourful highlighters. However, “Issue tracking simplified and it works in seconds”, seems to get lost amidst other information on this page.
My view is that the fact that this website will help aid individuals track issues is not very obvious from the home page. Either there needs to be some more information or maybe highlight the words “Issue tracking simplified and it works in seconds” so as to gain a user’s attention. At the moment, when I come to this page and start scrolling, my focus shifts to signup even before I know what is this site for.Â
Rest seemed okay to me. The links ‘Briliiantly Simple UI’, ‘Developer Focussed’, ‘Collaborate with anyone’, ‘Communicate’ are currently not functional. But I like the overall simplicity of the website.
2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?Â
I found what I needed. I navigated to the product tour and pricing. Am guessing since this is a BETA version, Â and hence when you select either of the STANDARD, GOLD or PLATINUM boxes, nothing happens at the moment. I assume these will open up a new page and allow users to sign up?
3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Yes, I think the Signup is well highlighted on the home page and users will be able to subscribe very easily. Â
On the Account creation page, the error messages are not very obvious. In case of an error message on the create Account page, example User Name is already registered or incorrect email address, nothing highlights which field and the error message gets displayed at the top of the page. The user will have to find the error on the page instead of this being very obviously highlighted to him. The T&C error seems correct and the fields above should have something similar, or a highlighter on the field that was incorrect.
4) Sign up and look around. Was it easy to use? If not why not.
Signed up alright and navigated to the home page, which I found uncluttered. Its easy to create a project.
I am finding the ‘New Issue’ option and the ‘Issue’ menu option on the top of this page, quite disjointed. If I select the ‘Issue’ tab, as general tendency I am looking down through the page and trying to find out how I can raise a new issue. What I only see after a few minutes of meddling around is that the ‘New Issue’ option is available on the top right corner of the page. I think there needs to be some kind of link or joint such that users can clearly see the New Issue option first. Â
What I like is, when creating an issue, the app does a search and tells you rightaway if something similar exists. This will help minimise duplication of issues.Â
Again, it could be that this feature is not yet complete, but when you navigate to ‘My profile’, you would expect to see your user information as part of your public profile section. This is blank at the moment.
5) Additional feedback
When you are on the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy pages, there must be an option to go back to the Create Account page. Most users will navigate here when they create an account. Hence I suppose there should be options to ‘Go Back’ and navigate to the ‘Home’ page as well.
Also, the link ‘Home’ on this page needs some emphasis. Its getting lost at the moment with its own colour against the background. The user will navigate to the bottom of the page and then search all the way upwards to find the ‘Home’ link.Â
Overall a good site, neat and a few alterations in terms of ease of use and information availability to customers will make it more efficient and likeable.

1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
Â
First impression is that the site is a ticket purchase/tracking site (sports tickets, concerts tickets?). This is because of the ‘Tickets’ in your title.
Â
What the site is for is a bit confusing at first until one reads through the scroll images that lets you know it is about tracking development issues for computer programing.
Â
The site’s landing page feels well organized, with everything placed in easy to read, easily divided sections (no mistaking text in one block as being part of another). Text is clear, easy to read, font is large enough it is not hard to look at. Colours are nice (black background, white text, with some bright blue and yellow). Images are nice, though not understanding what they stand for makes you wonder why they are there.
Â
Scroll menu is a bit fast.

2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
Â
First thing I usually look for are the Privacy Policies, Terms of Use and FAQs–things that describe what your site does with the information we provide, what you expect from us, the users (and what we can expect from you), and how your site works. You do not have a FAQ link (though you do have a ‘Get in Touch’ forum that lets us ask you questions).
Â
Sign up forum was next on my look up list. You can sign up via Twitter, but no Facebook? I did not see a regular email sign in on the landing page (though after the tour there was one).
Â
Site Tour/Overview: nice to see that you have a site tour, with a video that explains and shows you how the site works before signing up. Maybe, however, the link to this can be a bit bigger/more noticable.Â
Â
3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
I am not a programer–so, signing up is not really something that interests me. But, for the sake of completeness, I shall!

4) Sign up and look around. Was it easy to use? If not why not.
Â
Sign up was easy. Creating a fake project was also easy (the tutorial video covered everything on getting a quick start).Â
Â
Problems/Issues: Under projects, you have this large empty space with a ‘Choose a project or Start a New Project.’Â To choose a project I already have created, I have to go to the My Projects at the site. In the menus there, the text is rather small (like, 10pt font), especially for the links to the projects I started. Hard to notice as, when creating a new project, it doesn’t automatically bring you to the new project—you have to click on the link for it on the right side. Maybe have in larger fonts a list of the projects the user is currently working on in the main box (where you currently have the ‘Choose a project or start a new project’ text, and have at both the top and bottom of that list a ‘Start a New Project’ link.
Â
Â
The ‘New Issue’ link was in a strange place in relation to the ‘Project Details’– why not have a ‘New Issue’ link within the ‘my issues’ window (like, under the text banner that says ‘Hey! Seems like this project is empty. Why not create some issues to get started’). This would be better than having the ‘New Issues’ menu in the top right of every page, and having to click on it, and reselect the project you are creating the issue for. I already selected my project to review the current issues already noted… why are you making me have to select a new menu, and select that project again to add issues to it?
Â
The issues task manager/work sheet/comments thingy was neat (Opened/Closed issues, how they are arranged). Again, menu and link font sizes could be a bit bigger.
Â
Log-out, log back-in was easy.
Â
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Your title feels a bit misleading. Maybe have something other than your fast moving scroll menu to let people know that it is for programming issues.
Â
Site Tour and Video was nicely done. However, the voice in the video felt a little too ‘deep’ and authoritative (forced authority–didn’t sound like ‘natural’ speaking for a fair number of parts). Like how it was step by step.
Â
Everything else is already covered.
