  1. What do you think the site is about? The site seems to be about meal planning/recipes, saving users time and money.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like? It bothers me that the page looks like a spam page = particularly the white background with red letters and arrow buttons. The content seems disjointed, and overly busy. I don’t like the two menus beside each other – perhaps one above the other would look better.  I like the colors and the top menu bar. The background it cute and fits the theme.
Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why? I would be somewhat hesitant to sign up, since it does have the look of a spam page.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have. The page is a good start. It needs a little tweaking to feel more trustworthy for users to signup.

  2. What do you think the site is about?
    1. Just by glancing at the website for 10 seconds, the first thing that pops out to me is the phrase that says ” A meal planning strategy designed to save you time and money”, so judging from the domain and the phrase., I would think it’s a site tailored to busy people who want to save time by helping them plan, and organize their meals efficiently.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
    2. What I found bothersome was the design of the web site, it looked cluttered with text, and to top it off, there’s green, red, and black on the site. What I like with the website was the picture. it helps the basic user think the site deals about food. It’s sort of a visual aid that registers almost instantly.

    3. I’d definitely would want to sign up for a free trial, since it’s free to try there wont be a commitment right away. It’s sort of giving the user time to get a feel with the service and it’s offerings.

    4. Additional feedback – Lose the background, and improve the layout of the site more. It just looks cluttered with text. And lose the coupondede ad, or replace it with something better. The ad looks pixelated.

I like how the site has four main sections at the top, for viewers to easily click on. I love that I am able to search for recipes by category. If I have the taste for a dish with chicken, then I can click on chicken etc.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

The homepage was a bit boring to look at. There wasn’t enough pictures of food. I think that would draw reader s attention as well. I do like the background. It seems like a table cloth. It makes me think of going through the process of setting a table to get it ready for dinner.

I was encouraged to sign up. I like that the sign up button was a bright green color. It makes it more attractive to viewers.

I love the name of the website. I think it is the perfect fit. I also like the table cloth background. The only problem I have is the background color. I know blue is a calming color, but in this case it should be a mor up beat color to get viewers excited about visiting the website. For example a background color of red and green with pictures of fruits and vegetables. That will get viewers excited!

  4. What do you think the site is about?
    1) At quick glance, it appears to be about getting recipes for meals. Being able to print them out. I found the screen to be confusing and exactly what the name suggests “Busy”. There was so much going on that your eyes were not drawn to the specific reason of the web site. (To make life easier for the “meal planner”) The name is not really doing your site justice-it suggests something different. I would suggest tweeking it to be more specific for why your there. Or at least I would enter the phrase you have (Dinner planning and ideas for everyone) right under the web site title Busy Meal. Make it bigger and bolder! So it stands out. Your eyes will be more drawn there first.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

    2) I did not like the checkered blue backround. It made it seem more like a picnic idea. You do not immediately understand how to use the web site. It is not friendly user. Your not sure where to begin. You should be able to print your recipe right from the (Select your recipe) button rather than having a seperate button for printing your recipe.
I did like that on your right column you have choices that direct you to different meal topics. So if your there to find a low fat meal or a specific cooking method, all you have to do is click rather then having to search through a lot of recipes. In general I really like your site. I believe it has a lot of potential, but just needs a bit of tweeking in the right areas. It’s a good idea and should do well. Just catch the readers eyes immediately up top. More chocolate chips do not make a better cookie. Meaning adding all the extra color and trying to make a lot of points at once so close together is clutter and doesn’t make it any better.
A visitor will be looking for quick information on your site, you want to be able to sign on, be directed easily to your choices without having to look around at everything so much to figure it out.  So it should be clear and easy choices. Not because one is stupid, but because they’re looking for something quick as your site should suggest, which is what your trying to do correct? I think it’s a great idea because one does run out of ideas, time, and ends up spending more money in the long run. I look online all the time for recipes for meal planning.

    3) I did not view anything about a free trial in the short time I was there. I thought it was a free site to access for recipe ideas. It didn’t even occur to me that you would have to pay or join anything to use the site. I probably would not use your site for this if I had to pay anything. I’d go buy a recipe book then. If it states it on the home page, I did not see it.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

    3) Sorry if you think that I tore your site apart as being a bad web site, just the opposite! You have a very good idea here and I think you will do well.

  5. As a searcher in new recipes, I find this web site the same as others.  The one thing I can not understand is why would I have to pay for a subscription when other website out there are free.  I could not find any information that stated reasonings for signing up. Perhaps on the first page state, in very noticable way, what makes this site more important than free sites. Also give top reasons why this is a great site to subscribe to, as well as, benefits that other sites do not provide.  Economic times make it hard for most people to sign up for a subscription, The site has coupon section which could be enhanced as a reason to save, making the site affordable in the eye of the of a potienal subscriber. Though there are sites that have free coupons to print, does your site have better saving coupons that are worth signing up for?

There are good ideas and I wanted to go further in and see but due to time constrantes I was not able. Does the site have the ability to make shopping lists, that are printable, as to recipes choices? Does the recipes have alternative choices if some of the ingrediants are not able to be consumed? I would be more inclined to sign up if choices would be automated to my liking or needs of my family. I know of one thing I wish would be accessable is coupons pop in for the ingrediants that I am using in a recipe.  I would find it interesting  to see the final web page design, as I like recipes web sites.

  6. What do you think the site is about?
I like the site.  It seems simple, catered to people that really don’t have a lot of time to waste in the kitchen.  Something quick and easy.
    What do you find bothersome?
The color blue in the background, I think that should be red, so it can have a “Home Feeling” to it.
I think that it needs more recipes, more variety.

When you try to open the recipes, on some of them, they need more details on the instructions, we cannot assume that everyone is comfortable with these instructions.

    What do you like?

    The simplicity of the site.
    Like the name Busy Meals.
Like the green and red colors on the front of the site.
I like that you can print out coupons.
Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account?
I would sign up for a free trial.  It makes me feel like I want to try something new, quick and easy.

I believe if you add more ethnic foods, I know you have some Latin food, Indian, exotic food.  The bigger the audience you can reach, the better results you might have, remember word of mouth.

  7. What do you think the site is about? The website is very useful to find some recipes and ideas.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like? I do not like the background and pictures of the meals. I like that you can find recipes very fast.

Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? I not encouraged to sing  up for a free trial, because, I do not find the page that has much content.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.  The website need more variety of international and latin cuisine in order to get more audience.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I like the simplicity of the format. very straight forward and easy to follow.

Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
Yes why not, any additional help is welcome specially if it’s free.

they can feature more asian and international dishes to get more followers.

  9. first impression was that it was some what confusing to navigate alot of the things that i was looking for it just took a moment to figure out what i needed to do to navigate. The first thing i noticed with the all pages is the arangement, i spent alot of time woundering if something belonged there on the right side , it was a distraction. i also think the apearence in general is bland and could use a more atactive background, the recipe tab has the same apearance issues as the home page, it just felt like there should be beter use of the space on the right. maybe as i scroll through the recipe title, have the card for that title apear there. it will make it easier to have it right there availible at a glance rather then fumbling through the pop up pages you have to go through. those are irritating by the way, the card could have its own page with links to dessert and side recipes as well as the links to the meal planning or callender and dirrect printing would be nice. put “add to callender” or “add to meall planner” somewhere on there as well. the recipe card page would be my focus. i would want to see more links there to recipes suguestions and it would be nice to add comments to them as well, maybe some one had a issue with altitude and had to make adjustments to the recipe, they could add it to the comments so others can see. it could help with figuring sides, deserts, presentation etc. as well. by the way i noticed there are not alot of recipes availible for like cookies cakes etc., i hope there are more to come. i am not be inclined to join at first glance. it seemed a bit uninviteing, nothing to make my mouth water so to speak. spice up the backgrounds and simplify the procces put more options availible at the recipe page. put the coupons all over the place as well, the recipe tab is unneccesary, links work better if placed right, like to the recipe i’m interested in, if i see there are coupons for the recipe right away it would speed up the decision process for some folks, i know someone out there is trying to work a budget. for the most part i like the sites potential but there isn’t enough to add it to my favorites. more recipes please.

  10. This site is very eye catching. The food looks good. Being a busy person I can use all the help I can get.
I really did not see anything on the site I did not like. The site was very easy to navigate and very informative.

  11. Visit https://www.busymeal.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
A site for people who want to save both time and money when preparing meals, especially dinners.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
This is definitely a great start. You have all the components and they might be arranged to better advantage.
    – I prefer a site with fewer main colors that would help me to focus on what to look for first, second, third
    – It would be preferable to have the entire plate visible. As it is now, my eye drifts to the left and off the screen as it searches for the rest of the plate
    – Not everyone is going to want to follow the order you set on the menu bar
    – It would be helpful to include the shopping list on the menu bar
    – Also, if the menu bar is not a step 1, 2, 3, 4 process, then you could add the blog there
    – You would also be able to add “Contact Us,” etc. to the menu bar, rather than having us search all the way to the bottom for the fine print
Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
Not yet, because you haven’t convinced me that you actually will save me time and money.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
    – People look first at the top of the home page. Therefore, why not make “A meal planning strategy designed to save you time and money” your slogan or tagline BUSY MEALS—A Meal Planning Strategy Designed To Save You Time and Money.” You could even tighten up by saying “BUSY MEALS—Meal Planning that Saves You Time and Money.”
    – If you made the sidebar smaller and added the blog to the menu bar, you could expand the picture. You could include 2-4 pictures of meals, each with the time it takes to prepare and average cost in the US to prepare.
    – You could leave enough room at the bottom for info on new blog entries or . . .
    – Recipes: again could approximate cost, as well as how many is it supposed to serve? When I do a search, why is there a number next to the selection? How does it help me?
    – Grocery List: This is not intuitive. How do items appear on the grocery list? Is it possible to be able to check off items while looking at the recipes that would automatically transfer to the grocery list?
    – You could even include a calculator to help people see how much money they are saving
