  1. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Is it immediately clear what Button Frog does?

My first impression: I like the website, it’s very coloured. it’s immediately clear for me that Button Frog does custom buttons. It’s clear from the offer for 50 buttons and from the pictures with the buttons.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?

I thought to get some samples so I clicked on the Get samples button. I added in the cart some. It wasn’t confusing to add them to the cart.
It’s confusing that i do not know what the Sample Pack actually contains. No picture, nothing shows me how they look like and what I will receive.

    3) Are you encouraged to Get 50 custom buttons for $29? If you are, tell us what convinced you. If not, can you tell us why and what can we do to change a perspective buyer’s mind?

Yes, I am encouraged to order them. It’s the first thing that pops in front of your eyes, once you open the website. Perhaps some more pictures of some examples of buttons already made before would offer more details to the buyer and convince more.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?

The similar company I found is: zazzle
I think I would prefer Button Frog because the website is in colours and shows beautiful pictures of custom buttons. The other site, although it shows some simple buttons, it is too bland and simple for me with white and grey colours.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

It would be nice to have some more specific pictures with examples from previous orders.

Sample Pack is an unknown for the ordering customer. It would be nice to say what exactly it contains.

If the custom buttons can be actually arranged under categories by size, by price, on sale etc, it would be nice to have them arranged like that or be able to filter them.

Also a search button and/or perhaps an index for all pages would help.

  2. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Is it immediately clear what Button Frog does?

I like how the page is laid out, it is very bright and colorful. I can easily see that I can get 50 custom buttons for only $29 and it is normally $59. I also like that I can get free shipping in 5 days upon approvals as well.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?

Well, I was looking for an “About” section to get a better idea of the history of this site and I didn’t find it. I was wanting to know when it was started, by whom, the concept behind how this site came to be, etc. I was also looking for more information on the “Contact” page and only saw an email address and a blank form to be filled out. I was hoping to find a physical location, a phone number, maybe a “live chat” link and a few social media links as well.

    3) Are you encouraged to Get 50 custom buttons for $29? If you are, tell us what convinced you. If not, can you tell us why and what can we do to change a perspective buyer’s mind?

Yes I am encouraged to get the 50 custom buttons for the low price of $29 with free shipping. Upon immediately landing on the home page, that was the first thing that I noticed.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?

I came across the site called Busy Beaver Custom Buttons to compare this site to. I liked that their site had a lot more information available such as more filters, a blog, about section, etc. Their prices are very close to yours but I don’t like how long it takes to get their free shipping and I would not want to pay their shipping costs to get the buttons sooner, those are just too expensive. I did like how they have different designs available to choose from.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I think I would have liked to see a section explaining on “how it works”. How do we make the custom buttons.

I also would have liked to see a few designs to choose from as well.

  3. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Is it immediately clear what Button Frog does?
I like the colorful language on the home page! It is clear what you do and how it is written shows your passion for what you do.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
I looked for the FAQ’s which I do for most new websites I visit. I thought it looked good – succinct and to the point. One suggestion might be to add an FAQ for shipping. I know you address it elsewhere, but I think it’s fabulous that you have free shipping and putting g it here would both emphasize it and remind customers. Also, I would address in FAQ rush or priority orders. I know you have shipping within 5days, but what if someone needs it ASAP? Are you able to provide that service? If yes, then how?

    3) Are you encouraged to Get 50 custom buttons for $29? If you are, tell us what convinced you. If not, can you tell us why and what can we do to change a perspective buyer’s mind?
Yes, I was encouraged. It’s a great deal and I like the way it was presented!

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I visited justbuttons.com. I I really like the layout and design of your site better. This one, particulary the homepage, was very crowded. A lot to read. Your entire site just seems “friendlier” to me. They did have a few things on their homepage that I thought were great marketing tools. For example, samples of customer reviews, indicated that rush service is available, that they are an accredited business by the BBB, and that you’re able to get an instant quote. Also they do not offer free shipping which I still thrink is a big bonus.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
    I listed all my feedback

  4. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Is it immediately clear what Button Frog does?

My first impression of Button Frog is that it is very clear what the company is about, however I don’t understand why the name of it is “Button Frog”. Also I thought it was kind of odd that the homepage is all about the certain special and not about the company itself.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?

Since I am not interested in buying any buttons I clicked on the get samples link. It took me to a cart that charges me $1 for a sample pack. However, it doesnt state what kind of buttons I would be getting and I’m able to view them for myself. I would have liked to be able to see some examples of buttons that have been made in the past.

    3) Are you encouraged to Get 50 custom buttons for $29? If you are, tell us what convinced you. If not, can you tell us why and what can we do to change a perspective buyer’s mind?

I am not encouraged due to the fact that there is no way to be able to view any work that has been done or preview my artwork that I upload that I want to be done. Why would I pay to have custom work done if I’m not able to see what it looks like? $29 is not expensive but I want to atleast know what I’m getting, especially If I’m going to be using these buttons as promotion/marketing or giving them away. That to me is the most important thing.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?

After searching and looking at a different company I would prefer them over Button Frog for multiple reasons. As mentioned before, I was able to view a catalog of work that has been done. Also there was a selection of different kind of buttons. I was able to choose different shapes or if I wanted them to be magnetic or different sizes.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I believe that if there is somehow a catalog of work that can be previewed on the site and there was more information about what the company is and what they are about it will greatly improve the site.

  5. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Is it immediately clear what Button Frog does?
A quick glance at the homepage already gave me an idea that Button Frog prints custom buttons. The line “Get 50 custom buttons for $29.” and the big picture of buttons grabbed my attention so I immediately knew what the homepage is about.

As for my initial impression, I thought the homepage is simple, which is nice. I also like the colors used.

For a moment though, I did not realize that there was more at the bottom of the page. I guess the black bar at the bottom of the picture made me think it served as the footer.

But once I learned I could scroll down, I could see that there was more info available at the page. The layout is clean and bits of info provided is pretty helpful. I also like the images that go with it.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
I wanted to learn more about the process and the final product. The links weren’t difficult to find and it was a bit disappointing that the FAQ page was the only other page to see. I’m hoping the FAQs will answer my question.

Well the FAQ page did have more info and I was able to learn more about the process – the artwork I can use, ordering and shipping info. But, I had to go through lots of pages just to learn more about it and it was pretty frustrating.

The added photos/videos at the answers are really nice and helpful though.

I didn’t see anything about the final product. I was hoping there is some kind of gallery where I can see samples of the buttons.

A bigger issue I found though is at the page: https://support.buttonfrog.com/customer/portal/articles/1608072. There was a related FAQs link at the bottom which the other FAQ pages didn’t seem to have. I though this was a nice feature only to realize that it brought me to stickermule.com’s support page.

    3) Are you encouraged to Get 50 custom buttons for $29? If you are, tell us what convinced you. If not, can you tell us why and what can we do to change a perspective buyer’s mind?
Not really. The price seems okay but there isn’t much info provided about the product. It would be nice to see some photos of the finished buttons. Or what kind of customization are available.

I see that there is “get samples” option but I don’t think I’d be willing to pay $1 for it – not to mention the shipping fee and waiting time.

It’d be nice if there was a page dedicated to the features and basic stuff about the buttons as I found the FAQ page difficult to go through.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
    I found https://www.busybeaver.net/

I think I prefer Busy Beaver. They have more options and their site shows a lot more info regarding their product. I like the simplicity of Button Frog but it was difficult to learn more about their services.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Having to go dig through the FAQ page is bit tiresome. Maybe having a page containing the key features of the services offered will be a lot easier to go through.

It would be really nice to see pictures of the what the final product looks like.

The redirect to stickermule.com makes me question the credibility of the site.

I tried making an order and I think it is a bit confusing in the sense that I do not know the steps involved in the order process. Like after clicking the button, I get asked to upload an artwork (which I skipped) and the next thing I know, it’s already added to the cart. I’m confused as to how do I provide more info about the order. Maybe it’d be more helpful if there were steps outlined as to what comes next in the order process. I guess this is another reason why I’m not encouraged to “Get 50 custom buttons for $29”.

Overall, I like the simplicity of the site but I find it lacking in content. Perhaps adding more info about the services/features will help cause as of now, all I know is that Button Frog makes custom buttons but I have no idea what makes it different from other sites.

  6. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Is it immediately clear what Button Frog does?
My initial impression of the page is quite positive. I love the colours which have been used on the website and the website has a very fresh feel to it. It is quite refreshing. I love that it is to the point and direct. It is absolutely clear as to what the website is for. I do not get the name of the website, but I think it is very unique. The website looks very trustworthy. I also think that highlighting the words “get sample” and “free shipping” is a very good ides as the word “free” tends to catch people’s attention and make them want to know and find out more about the offer. The homepage is short and to the point. It is very concise. I love the picture on the homepage. It looks quite appealing. I also like how the information and the steps have been given when we scroll a little. The information is clear and the picture just adds to it. It makes it look more interesting and attention grabbing. Overall, I love how the page looks and that there is nothing confusing about what it offers.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
I wanted to look for contact information so that I know where and who to contact if I have any questions or trouble using the website. My eyes went straight up , but I did not find it there. I did find it on my second try, at the bottom of the page. The contact button is at the right side on the bottom of the page. I opened the link, but could not really find any contact information. A form has been provided. I was expecting more like an email id or phone number. So, I am a little disappointed as there is only one way to contact and I would not know when I will be receiving a reply. But, finding the contact page was very easy and there was no confusion at all. I also liked that a Support tab has been added to the page. I was expecting it to help me talk to a representative, but instead, that too takes us to the contact form.

    3) Are you encouraged to Get 50 custom buttons for $29? If you are, tell us what convinced you. If not, can you tell us why and what can we do to change a perspective buyer’s mind?
Yes, I am encouraged to buy 50 custom buttons for $29. What convinced me was the fact that the website seems trustworthy to me and the fact that all the information has been laid out very very clearly. The instructions and the information are very clearly given and it is quite easy to follow what is needed to be done. It is also clear that the offer is a limited period thing and that we are getting the buttons with free shipping and for half the price. So, it is a very good deal, in my opinion.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I looked for a website which sells buttons and I found http://www.justbuttons.org. The website looks more like an advertisement and is quite overwhelming. The page opens to a lot of text and it is neither appealing nor does it makes it look trustworthy. But, 2 things I did like very much about the page are that they have added testimonials to the page. Although, the look of the page makes it look like the testimonials are not legit, the idea of adding them to the page is nice. I think it is very helpful because it helps understand more about the service quality. Another thing I liked was that they have added contact information at more than one place. But, overall, I really prefer Button Frogs because of the clear reason that it looks more sorted and trustworthy to me.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I think the website presentation is very nice. It is not overwhelming, has shared just the right amount of information, is to-the-point and extremely easy to use and understand. I would just change it a little, so as to add testimonials and contact information. Overall, I found the website to be interesting, modern and simple.
I’d like to thank you for providing me this opportunity to help you. Good luck with the website! Thanks.

  7. 1. It’s definitely clear that this is a site that enables users to design their own buttons and buy them in bulk. My initial impression is that the home page is very effective. The colorful buttons are eye-catching and immediately convey what your site is about, and your headline and intro text are extremely simple and easy to read. What could be clearer than “Get 50 custom buttons for $29”? Below the fold, you lay out your three selling points in a format that’s short and sweet. Well done!

    2. I decided to find out how the design process would work. I clicked “Order now” on the home page and was expecting instructions of some sort. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw there was no need for them; the next page invited me to upload my design in a completely self-explanatory process. (However, I *did* wonder what “special instructions” I would have the option of giving. It might have been nice to know my options in regard to making requests.) After I uploaded my design, I found myself on the checkout page. Honestly, it would have been nice to see the design I uploaded in a thumbnail next to my order or something just so that I would know the upload was successful. Since there are no guidelines about file size limits, it’s something that would be on my mind as I made my order. Anyway, I continued through the order process up to the point that I was asked for payment, and there were no glitches.

    3. I’m actually not sure how those rates compare to your competitors’ pricing since I’ve never purchased self-designed buttons in bulk. But if I checked around and saw that your rates were the best, then I’d definitely be encouraged to buy, especially because your upload process seems fast and easy. What would encourage me more? Maybe a chart showing your competitors’ rates so I’d have something to compare to.

    4. I searched on “design your own buttons” and found Busy Beaver Button Co. (www.busybeaver.net). The main difference between Busy Beaver and Button Frog is that the former offers a range of button shapes and sizes, as well as magnets, bottle openers, etc. As far as I can tell, Button Frog offers just one standard shape and size. Busy Beaver is also a more fully realized business in that they have their own templates, design services, and more fleshed out web site with a blog and “Help” page, and so on. And if I’m doing the math correctly with their very accessible calculator on the home page, they would give me the same thing Button Frog would give me for a few dollars less. So all in all, I’d have to say Busy Beaver comes out ahead here.

    5. I like the simplicity of your site. It’s certainly very easy to use. However, I would’ve appreciated some clarification about what “special instructions” I could give and about file sizes that you accept. Also, if you want to be competitive with similar sites, you might consider either expanding your offerings or lowering your rate. With bulk purchases like this, if consumers have to choose between two identical products and one is cheaper, they’ll often go for the cheaper one, even if it only saves them a few dollars.

    Good luck!
