  1. My first impression of the site is clean, and easy to see the navigation. There is enough information presented to me at first that I can see in a quick glance many of the features that you are offering.  However, due to the audience you are seeking, mainly professionals, and small business, I would suggest that you use more professional looking graphics. Many times the imagery thatis used may portray an incorrect view of your company, such as cheap, or not able to produce the results advertised.
The tab links at the top of the page are good, but I would suggest a more contrasting color for the highlighted link, instead of a white which disappears into the page and lost.
I was encouraged to look into the features and pricing as there appeared to be complete enough services that I felt it could be of possible value to my company.  I think your page listing services would be more effective if you were to list all of the services in a list or bullet form first, then go into detail to each service as a link, or found further on the page.  That facilitates the visitor to read more quickly the essential information they are looking for. I looked at bill4time.com, and it was actually very similar as they appear to use a CMS solution similar to your own.

My first impression is, Wow, love that orange! It’s a real mood-lifter and makes me feel like getting started on some projects. I can also immediately see that all of the information I need will be readily available: demos, pricing plans, features, etc. I am drawn to click on the big “Sign Up for Free” button.

    2) Create a free account. Was the process straightforward?
Yes, I just filled in my account information. The confirmation email arrived within seconds and I was able to login immediately.

I would hesitate to use this product at this time. It looks like it’s geared more for lawyers, and I’m not sure I’d be able to adapt it to the freelance writing and editing work that I do.

    4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like bill4time.com and freshbooks.com?
bill4time.com looks very similar to CaseFox in terms of features, but is more expensive. FreshBooks looks more applicable to a variety of freelance careers — I noticed immediately that one of the testimonials was from a designer — but there doesn’t appear to be anyway to compare the plans and rates on FreshBooks with those of CaseFox or Bill4Time. I like to know ahead of time what I can expect to pay.

If CaseFox were customizable for more freelance applications, I’d be very interested in this service.

  3. Thank you for your encouraging words.  We would be glad to hear some specific requirements that can make CaseFox more suitable for freelancers.  It is true that some CaseFox features (such as Trust Accounting and LEDES invoicing) are only suitable for attorneys, but we have tried to keep the rest as generic as possible for any type of service provider.  Please write us an email at service@casefox.com to let us know what we can do.  Thank you.

Our rate plans are very simple and straight forward.  You can use the full features basic plan for free until you exceed 4 cases.  You pay $10/month until you reach 25 cases.  Yearly subscription discounts (12 months for 10 month fees) are available.  No hidden fees or per user charges on paid plans.

    Thank you.

I think that casefox is equally comparable to the other two competitors.  The pricing is more affordable and offers the same service as the others.
