  1. Visit https://www.cimbal.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
This site allow a person to pay for an item via a smartphone by way of person to person, online, or in store. The payments are linked from cimbal to the bank.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
The bright blue was very nice to see and very eye catching and fresh. I love how you immediately know exactley what the website is about, there was no need to search all around the page. I like how you draw me in with 3 things to immediately remember you by: the name itself (cimbal), your tag line (the smart pay to pay) and with a symbol (C). I like how you verbally explain what your company does but then you take it a step further and provide a video. I like that you provide pictures, they seem warm and welcoming to consumers.  Lastly nice addition of the social websites.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I must say there wasn’t anything that I could say that I didn’t like or found troublesome. You had: faqs, contacts (via email, phone and map), terms of service, privacy policy, and refunds. The only thing I can say is, I wish I had a smart  phone.  The addition of tabs are always nice and they seemed well thought out. I really only have one concern about the software. How is the software secured from hackers and things of the like? When it come to bank information people can be really leary especially with a product that is fairly new on the market. Maybe you can speak to that al little more.  Nice to see the news page. I find it comforting to see what people are saying about a company.

What do you think of the sign up process?
The sign up process was easy enough. Again when it comes to entering bank information online the comsumer should be able to visibily see how your website and company is secured. I didn’t see anything like that or maybe I missed it.

Would you download our app (http://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
I would definitely sign up for a free account but again I would like to see something that you would make me feel downloading your software was secure.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors?
Compared to others your site is easy to read and follow but you lack that security that some other the others provide. Some say they are Mcafee verified, BBB and Verifi sign secured. It would be nice to seem of that security on you site. You provide a video which I did not see with the other sites.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.

Provide security for consumer and it would be nice if your phone selection could be expanded. Other than that the site it really professionally done and consumer friendly for all ages.

  2. Visit https://www.cimbal.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? It looks like a new technology that allows you to pay for something using your smart phone.  I see that there is a video that I can watch that intrigues me to keep looking.  The “C” logo for cimbal is memorable and sticks in my memory.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
I was really excited to see the video showing how this works.  I am disappointed with the lack of enthusiasm from speaker on the video.  It was truly difficult to get through it.  I also think it looks like the video was made at his kitchen table rather than in a coffee shop with his buddy.  In this visual age we are easily distract by the mundane.  I would love to see it more like an advertisement to get you excited about this convenient tool.  I like that you can send money from person to person so take advantage of that scenario.  Have fun! People don’t carry cash anymore, it seems like I’m always in a jam asking a friend to borrow a few dollars when my purchase requires cash, etc.   Or maybe even an airport issue, people always need fast cash at an airport.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
Under the product tab, in reading the description I was troubled by the last statement, “or in as little as two days”  I think it would be wise to have a link or have that statement a link with more information.
Under the faq tab.  I like that you highlighted the HOT TOPIC in blue, because I found myself wondering where you could use it.  There is a grammatical error to fix- “Your colleagues owe you from yesterday night   You should change that to-“owe you for lunch yesterday.  Or something more grammatically correct, Yesterday night is awkward at best.
I like the Cimbal Live Demo option.  To practice without sending money.  I really like this screen so that you can test your smartphone or android to see if it works.
I would like to see a list of merchants that are in the process or have agreed to provide this payment option.  If they are building slowly, maybe you should market this application as a payment option between friends and individuals first.  I think that you are on the right track when you mention, garage sales, piano teachers, reimbursements.  Those things need to be demonstrated in your demo.

What do you think of the sign up process?
I was unable to sign up completely because I don’t have a smartphone or android, but it seems pretty standard.

Would you download our app (http://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
I personally would not sign up because I don’t have a smartphone or android.  But I have a sister who does and I am going to inform her of this application.  She also has two teenagers and they are always, “borrowing” money from her.  So I think this would be great for them to put on their phones as well so when they want money from her they can truly pay her back immediately.  Maybe that would be a great marketing tool as well, teens borrowing from their parents.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors?
I am not familiar with other competitors.  I think your site is well organized and easy to access.  I like the tabs that your provide at the top of the home page for easy answers to questions.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
This is an exciting application.  It is critical how you market the many different ways that it can be used effectively.  I would redo your demo video and make it more exciting.  Make me as a consumer be so excited that I can’t wait to try it!

  3. Visit https://www.cimbal.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? It appears to be a way to pay for store transaction using one’s smartphone.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site. The site is very easy to use.  I went through each tab and each section to get a feel for the use.  It’s very user friendly and everything loaded within seconds.  There was no difficulty in understanding any of the items on the site.   I feel the site itself, is very eye catching, the colors are appealing to the eye and the font is very readable to all age levels.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like? Under the FAQ section, I do find this sentence kind of bothersome:  “You don’t need any additional hardware to swipe cards“. I feel that it sounds kind of redundant.  I think it would look more professional to say, “You do not need additional hardware to swipe cards“.  I did download the demo and try it out.  I think that is a very good feature to allow people to see how this app really works.
What do you think of the sign up process? The sign up process feels very secure to me.  It was simple and self explanatory.   The steps were clearly defined.
Would you download our app (http://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why? I would have to do some extensive research to make sure this app can in no way be hacked.  From the demo and the video, I am concerned about someone hacking into my account at the same store I was in and using my phone to pay for their items.  It’s something I might be hesitant to do until I have further understanding and clarification about the possibility of theft as well.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors? I have not really looked into any similar sites or competitors because it’s something I have never considered prior to this experience.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have. I am just concerned as to the security of this application.  Although I feel quite comfortable signing up for the account at the website, I am concerned as to using the app in public.

  4. Visit https://www.cimbal.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
Cimbal is a way to pay for items through your smart phone. It is supposed to be fast and easy.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
I watched the video on the application and it looked like it was pretty easy to use. The site is pretty straight forward and easy to use. Navigation is clear and each page is easy to read. I like the fact that for the log in and sign up it opens in a new window. It seems like a great concept for those people who want to use their phone for everything. The feature that you can pay between people is nice but you would have make sure the other person had an account otherwise this would not be useful.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

I really did not find anything bothersome about the site. The colors are great because they are attractive and not too bright but enough to catch your attention The site explains everything easily. What I would like to see is a list of the current merchants and banks that use this application. I would then be able to make a better decision as to whether or not I would use the application.
What do you think of the sign up process?
I did not sign up because I do not have a smart phone, I did go through the first steps though and it looks like everything is very east to do.
Would you download our app (https://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why

I do not have a smart phone so as of right now I would not sign up. If I had a smart phone , I would have to really think about it because I really do not know if it is secure. If I lost my phone, could someone get a hold of my account. Why would I need this for merchants if I can just use my credit card? I have not had problems using it so you would have to convince me this would be better.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors?

Since I was not able to find and competitors, I would not know how their sites compare to yours.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
I am not sure if this technology is completely safe yet. Why do we need one more way to pay for the things that I consume? I believe that people that use smart phones for everything will love this though. Personally it is not for me.

  5. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
At first glance, it looks like a sort of PayPal for smartphones–an app for making secure payments via smartphone.  It’s designed for use by consumers, merchants, and financial institutions.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
I like the homepage.  The design is simple and direct, and visitors immediately see what it’s about.  It’s nice that you have a demo so people can experience Cimbal before they commit.  I watched the video, as well.  (Just so you’re aware, it simultaneously played both on your site and in a new window for some reason.)  I have to agree with one of the previous posters that your voice talent was rather lifeless, but the video DID help to explain the process, at least for the average consumer who would use it for purchases.  I noticed there was no information in the video for people who might be interested in using it to accept payments as self-employed contractors, small business owners, etc.

Next, I had a look at your Product, About, and FAQ pages.  I had no idea Cimbal was free for consumers till I reached the About page!  This is a VERY important selling point and one you should emphasize right away on your home page.  Overall, your copy on these pages was clear, if a bit jargon-y.  You could stand to have someone proofread the FAQ page for small grammatical errors, but that’s not a big deal.  The one weakness I see here is that you have three main target markets–consumers, merchants, and banks–but your Product, About, and FAQ pages are all aimed solely at consumers.  Interested merchants and financial institutions will have to keep their eyes peeled for the buttons at the bottom of the homepage if they want to get the info they need.  My thought is that you might revise the tone of the Product and About pages to make it more inclusive and expand your FAQ to have one section for consumers, one section for merchants, and maybe even one for banks.

Finally, I went back to the homepage and visited the aforementioned buttons called Consumers, Merchants, and Banks.  When I clicked on Consumers, I was surprised to read that Cimbal can also be used as something like an all-purpose spreadsheet that calculates, keeps tabs on expenses, organizes coupons and special offers, and so on.  These additional features should really be emphasized in the FAQ or Product sections, too, for those who don’t happen to click on the Merchant button.  These offerings are attractive and go above and beyond the services of standard secure transaction programs like PayPal.  When I clicked on Merchants and Banks, I noticed that these pages needed some proofreading for grammatical errors.  Also, I noticed that you didn’t mention how much Cimbal actually costs for merchants and banks.  How am I supposed to find that out?

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I think I pretty much answered this above.  I like that the layout is simple and the product is easy to understand, but if I were a merchant or bank, I would feel like I had to dig to find out more about how your app can benefit me.  Also, you do need to proofread one more time.  When I see grammatical errors, that makes me question the professionalism of the site and the product it offers.

What do you think of the sign up process?
It took me a minute to locate the “sign in/apply” button in the upper right corner.  You might want to make that bigger and more central so people can find it more readily.  Once I found it, I had no problem with the sign-up process.  It was easy to understand.

Would you download our app and sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
I actually don’t have a smartphone, so Cimbal wouldn’t be useful for me at this point.  If I had a smartphone, I’d consider it since it’s free, but I probably wouldn’t bother to do it until I noticed that more merchants were using it.  I tend to be very conservative about linking my bank account to any outside source anyway, so I’m not really an “early adopter” of this kind of technology.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors?
Of the competitors you listed, the only one I use is PayPal.  I had never even heard of the others.  So I’m not really qualified to comment on the other services, but as for PayPal, one thing you have in your favor is that your app is free to individuals.  PayPal takes a bite out of any payment I receive, and, over time, it’s become an increasingly large bite.  Also, I’m not aware if PayPal offers the bookkeeping functions that you mentioned or any way to track coupons and discount programs.  In addition, I don’t know if it provides any kind of app for smartphones.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
The bottom line is you have a good idea here, but you have a giant competitor in PayPal.  If PayPal offers a smartphone app, you’ll have a hard time competing with it.  If it doesn’t, though, you may be onto something big.  Be prepared to wait awhile for it to take off, though, because people aren’t going to jump on the bandwagon until a large number of merchants are accepting Cimbal.  I think you’re going to really need to get major retailers on board because consumers won’t be interested if they can’t actually use Cimbal anywhere when they go shopping.

  6. What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

What I didnt like at first glance was that, the site looked like it was geered for merchants only. It is bot inviting to the consumer. With all the credit card fraud going on the first thing I wanted to see as a consumer would be how secure my transaction and why this is meant to make my life less confusing.

  7. 1. Visit https://www.cimbal.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
Your large headline, and simple design, make it easy to see quickly that you provide an app or service that allows for making payments with a smart phone.
    2. Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
As I mentioned, your homepage design is clean and easy-to-read.  Your main nav is clear and not too cluttered, and the three buttons beneath your banner image make information for targeted audiences easy to find.  The social media icons are nice, but I’d like some indication on the homepage what smartphones are supported.  As an Android user, I get frustrated investing time and energy into researching an app only to find out it it’s only available on iPhone.  This is a very minor gripe; however, and is easily remedied on the subpages.
Your subpages follow the same clean design (much appreciated!), and as someone with website copywriting experience, I think that your copy is concise and clear.  Perfect for a site like this.  Your purpose is to get people to download your app, not to spend 20 minutes finding the information you need.  This is executed perfectly.
    3.  What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
As I mentioned, I think your homepage could use an indication which platforms have a version of your app.  I’d hate to become excited about your app only to discover I can’t use it on my phone.   That’s really the only thing that stands out as a dislike.  I think your design is extremely clean, your subpages have very clear copy and direction, and every step was covered when putting information into the site.  It’s very clearly targeted to a specific audience, and as a result is incredibly user-friendly, providing just enough information to inspire me to download your app.
Another thing I’d like to see upfront (preferably on the homepage) is a very elementary rundown of the necessary steps to begin using your app.  Something very simple, to persuade potential users from stepping away for fear that the steps involved are too cumbersome.  Something similar to this:
    1. Download App
    2. Connect with your Bank
    3.  Pay!
I know this seems ridiculously simple, but that’s the point.  It’s easy to tell what your app does, now, let us know why it’s convenient and easy.
    4. What do you think of the sign up process?
    Unfortunately, when I clicked “sign in/apply” I received a 404 error.
    5. Would you download our app (http://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

Without a doubt (heading to the Android market now).  This absolutely fills a need for me, and it seems very user-friendly.  In all honesty, I judge a company based on their presentation in a website (design, copy, etc), and based on your website and functionality of your app, I would definitely give it a shot.
    6. How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors?
I typically get extremely frustrated with app sites.  They either assume you know everything about the app, or bog you down with too many details.  For the most part, they tend to provide very little information.  App stores don’t provide the most information, so I’m depending on sites to give me enough information and incentive to download the app.  Rarely is that the case, as sites are poorly planned.
Your site bucks this trend – I am very impressed.
    7.  Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
Great site, and intriguing app.  I’ll be downloading, and reviewing on the Android marketplace.  Very impressive – good luck!

  8. Visit https://www.cimbal.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
It is an app that is a type of payment method used via a smartphone. It is suppose to be more secure and it links directly to your bank account. It can be used online, person to person, or in retail stores.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
The color scheme of the site is very eye pleasing. I also like that there is a demo video on the main page. This helps users in a number of ways. I watched to video and it seemed like the app would be very simple to use. The products tab gives a more detailed description of the application and it goes into detail on when you would use the application. This allows users to get a better feel of what the app is all about. There is a place to click at the bottom that takes you to the iPhone App Store. This is handy, because the customer does not have to go and search for the app on their own. The about section is also very helpful to potential users. It allows them to learn what Cimbal (the company) really is and what it is all about. This is a great feature on the site.

In addition to the things listed above there are lots of resources that I found very useful on the site. The only place that I found to be a lack of information is for merchants and contractors that would like to use the application to receive payments. If there was more information on your site about this, then it could help to build up your providers that offer it. In return this would help to build up the application user base. Lets say my local store wants to start using this type of payment method. If they can locate the information on how to do it, then I can start using this payment method next time I am shopping there.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
Nothing was truly bothersome about the site. The color scheme is really great, and eye appealing. I do, however, think that there should be a list of merchants that accept this payment method somewhere on the site. I also found that the voice on the video was rather monotone and boring. Other then the things listed in the previous section, this is all that I could find that was the least bit bothersome.

What do you think of the sign up process?
The process itself was very simple and easy to use. That being said, it took me a few minutes to find the place to apply. It is up in the corner and it is sort of small. It is not eye catching at all. I found myself really having to search for it, before I found the right place.
Would you download our app (http://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
Yes, but only if I were to find that my local merchants and places that I shop online use this service. It would not be effective for me if none of the online stores I used or my local merchants accept this form of payment.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors?
I think that this is very similiar to paypal, only its for the smartphone. The site itself is much more eye appealing then that of paypals. The only issue is that paypal is taken as a payment method at lots of different locations world wide. I could not find a list of retail locations and online locations on your site so I am not sure how that compares. You do however have a leg up on paypal because of the fees that apply to all users who want to transfer money from paypal to their accounts.
    .

  9. Visit https://www.cimbal.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
In the short time to look at the page, I feel like it is a way to use your phone like you do a credit/debit card.  I am not initially clear, but I am interested from a quick look and do want to spend the extra time to learn more information.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
The main page is very nicely laid out with good use of color.
Good use of a symbol, bold specifics, and visual/audio descriptors with your video.
I like the use of the Cimbal Demo video, but the spokesman talks very monotone and lacks any excitement regarding the product.
The “refer a friend” link seems out of place on the main page.
I LOVE that you put a phone number easily accessible on your main page.  So many companies do whatever they can to NOT be bothered by phone, it makes me immediately feel you are a trustworthy company if you are willing to give me immediate access to you.
It was not until I had researched the site that I realized this service is free to consumers.  This is a feature that really needs to be noticed on the main page.  This is something that will bring in even the more skeptical clients.
The use of the 3 buttons to direct individuals to their interest pages is a great feature.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I would like to know more about your security features.  You mention several times and places that your product is completely safe, but you do not provide any information about how this is done.  I would be more interested if I had specific information about how your product is safe.
You mention that Cimbal can be used at Merchants, but do not provide lists of merchants that accept this payment method.  Something needs to be addressed regarding this.  Either listing the merchants that currently accept Cimbal or at least mentioning any plans or ideas of when Merchant use will increase.
The link buttons at the bottom directing different interested clients to their perspective sites are a great way to decrease the irrelevant information that various people searching your site have to deal with.
Excellent use of the tab bar.  The information you present is very helpful in understanding more about your product.
What do you think of the sign up process?
applying for your service should have a page of it’s own.  I understand the small link on the ‘sign in’ page as if you are already a client, you don’t want to work around the applying stuff all of the time, but for new clients the work required to sign up needs to be easy.  Your link to apply on the sign in page is very small and easily mixes with your other sign in information linked on the page.
Would you download our app (http://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
I would download the app and use the free account.  The problem is if there are not even companies accepting your payment method, I would not keep the service if I was not able to find anyone to use it with.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors?
I have not really seen others offering your service.  I think this is a unique and very useful service for consumers and buisinesses.  I hope it takes off for you.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
I think you have a great product and a very well constructed website.  I feel you would have more instant interest in your product if you told people it was free in the beginning.
I would like to see more details regarding what makes you able to say the use of your product is secure and safe.

  10. Visit https://www.cimbal.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?-  The website is about paying things with your smart phone, and is connected with networking sites.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site. Looks to be a very basic webpage.  Anymore when I go to websites they have some time of movement that draws your eyes in to one specific area such as a picture slide show, and automatic video clip that plays or a moving clip art/ picture.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like? –There’s no stimulation for me to want to look further at the website just by going to the home page except for the simple fact that it’s a new way to pay for things.  Even looking further into the website’s “tabs” it’s still blah/ plan.  It is easy to maneuver through the website.  Wish there was more creativity or more thought in the clipart for the consumer, merchants and bank pictures rather than using the same one once you’ve clicked on the link.
What do you think of the sign up process?-I do not have a latest and greatest cell phone, so for me this is not applicable
Would you download our app (http://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?- If I had a compatible cell phone the only way I would sign up for a free trial is if it clearly stated how long the trial was and that after the trial period or a few days before I would be informed that my trial was up then be asked if I would care to continue with the app rather than the trial be up and automatically be charged for it via e-mail or text.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors?- Don’t like to sound like a broken record but I think it’s a plan website compared to others.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.-You could have a moving clip art/ picture of a phone moving over the scan bar square in the grocery scene, like the movie clip,  playing over and over on the home page that if you saw that rather than read you too would kind of know right away what the website was about. And, if you were told about this new way to pay by a friend, you would see that clip art and know that you were at the right website. It’s always better to have a 800 number. Looks more professional and if someone did have to call they will already be upset that they have to call long distance if it wasn’t free for them to call.

Visit https://www.cimbal.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
I think the site is about using a person’s mobile device to make transactions otherwise made with a debit/visa card. The point I believe this service is aiming towards is to eliminate the risk of identity theft through the the use of credit/debit card transactions.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
First, I like how easy it is to understand the service Cimbal provides. The site does a great job in conveying their message immediately when landing on the site. It is easy to read, understand, it is socially connected to the right networks, it is not cluttered or unprofessional looking. It does give a vibe of credibility and trust. I like that it provides information about the company and it’s board of directors, place of location and demo videos for better understanding. Good job at highlighting their logo…nice and simple.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
The site is clear and concise, however, it might be too concise or simple. I would like to see more information as far as how “exactly” I can be protected from id theft. For those who are not familiar with how ID theft even works it would be even better to empower the consumer by educating them on the process of preventing theft through Cimbal. Maybe by explaining or give examples of ID theft and how Cimbal has an edge on this concern by protecting the consumer by using: the pin, the application, mobile communication is more protected, etc, etc. People want to see how it works behind the scenes, examples and added value.

It’s free for consumers, but, not for merchants. Is there a cost for merchants? How do merchants go about getting more information or signing up?
The “click live – try it” link directed the viewer to a seemingly demo page, but, there was no video to play or link to click on so unable to see the demo as intended. Needs a customer service section and or some sort of Trusted Id, McAfee logo or Trust award or the like to ensure its validity since sensitive information is entered online in order to link Cimbal with a customer’s bank account.
How will I know I can trust Cimbal without a BBB logo or something to back up its authenticity?

I like the logo used and the name, they are both easy to remember.

What do you think of the sign up process?
The sign up process seem very simple and easy to follow.  I think once the user clicks on sign in/apply the page should separate the “sign in” section for “existing” members from the “apply here” for “new members” there should be a very clear-cut distinction between those sign-in and apply.

Would you download our app (http://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

Yes. I would download, but, after I know more about how it works and once I read enough information on the service to put my ID theft concerns at ease. I would like to know how “exactly” using my phone protects my information more than cards.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors?
Other than a survey asking me if I’d be interested in using my phone to pay at the store, gas station, etc., I’ve never seen any other company provide this service. So you have an edge over the competition provided you gain momentum with all the right ideas, provide optimum customer service and lots lots of information on its added value.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.

I suggest adding an “apply for free Cimbal” link or banner at the eye level section of the page so the user sees it immediately and to welcome more users as well.

I would also suggest adding more demo videos or “how to” downloading this revolutionary service for those who are still novices to technology. Steps from signing up online to downloading the app to actually seeing a virtual scenario of payment.

  12. What do you think the site is about?
Marvelous! Looks like a solution to having left my purse at home (but brought my iPhone) and needing to buy something!
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
Homepage seems simple and professional. FAQ, News & Contact pages are not as professional looking as rest of site.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
Cimbal as a consumer page – “sign up today” words should link to registration page as the button in top right corner is easily missed.

    Can’t use in UK yet!
What do you think of the sign up process?
Tried three times & could not get ‘Next’ button to work after completing account details. Page kep blanking out the password & confirmation each time I pressed Next.
Would you download our app (http://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
Yes when I can use it the UK!
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors?
I’ve never seen a site competing in this space.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
Personally I don’t like the name and can’t see how it relates to the product. Also the logo reminds me of something else but I cant put my finger on it yet.

  13. What do you think the site is about?
The site is about a new system to use your smart phone to pay at retailers instead of using an atm/debit or credit card.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
The site is visually appealing, bright colors and the logo is well represented.  It is easy to navigate.  All the pages and links are in easy view (no scrolling) and are all clickable.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
It threw me off a little when I saw returns and refunds at the bottom of the page, maybe this should go under customer service or FAQS instead of directly on the home page.  Having the video available was cool but the :15 intro page of just the logo seemed a bit long, probably need only :05 on that since it is repeated through out the video.  I really thought the person to person application was really cool.
What do you think of the sign up process?
I wasn’t able to get beyond the account information page, a problem with the password not being strong enough?  But it seemed reasonably easy.  Might need to display your secuirty information on the page or set is as a secure website.
Would you download our app (https://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
I think I might if it started to become mainstream.  I’d have to see the system in stores or as an application at my bank.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors?
I’ve yet to hear of any other competitors, but the system seems like it could be a hot commodity and the site is user friendly.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
I like the idea of being able to make payments via phone instead of using a card, one less thing to carry.  The smart phone would be able to store all the information; passwords, logins, etc.  and you would be able to view transactions on the go.  However I can’t help feeling that there will be some sort of fee applicable for this service either through the service provider or the bank, or possibly through your own site.  THis should be represented on the sites homepage.

  14. Visit https://www.cimbal.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

I went to the site and did what I was told; I spent no more than ten seconds looking at the site. It looks like this site is about paying for things online, or by smartphone. Whether it be for merchandise or bills, even the bank. It is a way to pay for things only it is made easier than calling or having to go to a certain place.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

This site is extremely organized and made simple. Everything is organized into tabs on the top of the page and the main idea of the site is written in large text right in the center of the page. This website page is not cluttered what so ever so it will make it a lot easier to navigate your way through the site. Just because a page is organized does not mean it has to be boring; that is the case for Cimbal. It still has color through out the page and it is not too much either. The color is very easy on the eyes.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

I like that this site is connected to all of the social networks like facebook and twitter etc. By doing this it makes it a lot better for people to come across it and then start following it. Soon after more and more people will start to use it. Once again the organization on the site was  done extremely well and I like the tabs because then you do not have to search the entire page to find what you are looking for. I did not find anything in particular that I did not like or find a problem with it.
What do you think of the sign up process?

The sign up process it rather easy. It is just like any other sign up process; all it does is ask a few question and of course have you create a username and password. Every one trying to sign up should have no difficulties signing up for this site because if the read the wuestions and follow the steps then there should be no confusion what-so-ever.

Would you download our app (http://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

I would not sign up for the site right now because i have no payments that I need to make online or on my spartphone. In the future when I will have payments I will consider using this product after doing some research about it because it seems like it is very productive if you are a busy person.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors?

I have seen certain sites that allow you to pay bills online; however this site offers much more than the other site say they do. Instead of just paying things like bills Cimbal allows you to also pay for merchandise and thigs with your bank. This will have more people signing up to see what all they can do with this site.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.

  15. Visit https://www.cimbal.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
At first glance, the site isn’t very appealing. Perhaps didn’t fonts or arrangement.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
The site was easy to navigate.
What do you find bothersome? I didn’t like the layout of the site. What do you like?  The product is explained well.
What do you think of the sign up process?
the process seemed simple to follow.
Would you download our app (http://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account?  I wouldn’t at this time. If not, why? I am not confident that it is secured.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors? It seems to be on the cutting edge.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
The video was a bit boring. Didn’t make me feel like it was something I wanted. Didn’t wow me.

  16. Visit https://www.cimbal.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

Your service provides a secure way to pay bills using the SmartPhone which is linked to the clients bank account.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site. What do you find bothersome?

I do question “secure”.  You claim secure and protection but yet you don’t state how.  I would like to see you go into more detail about how your service can make sure that I would be secure and how would you protect me.  When you are providing any service which has to deal with people’s money, you need to make sure that you provide as much detail concerning “secure” as possible.

The contact information was a little confusing.  It asks for the person to fill out a little bit of information and submit it.  It does not state if the person should be expecting a call or an e-mail back.  There is a phone number at the bottom of the page, is that a contact number?  Can someone call that number regarding questions or issues?

    What do you like?

I think your site looks very professional.  It’s easy to understand and navigate.  I love the use of colors.

I find the “FaQ” very useful.  It answered a lot of my questions.

The “news” and the “blog” links are a great idea.  They make the site looks more professional and it gives more information concerning your service.

What do you think of the sign up process?

I did the sign up process and I found it to be easy.  Once you have signed up, an e-mail is sent to your e-mail address to confirm which I think it’s a great idea.  It makes it to where people can’t open an account under someones elses info or e-mail address.

Would you download our app (http://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

At this moment no but I might in the future.  Right now, I do not own a smart phone and before I would sign up for an account, I would make sure that the places I mostly make payments to accept this payment method.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors?

I have never seen a site that provided exactly this type of service.  From looking at your site, I would say if there is others sites like yours I am sure your site compares very well.  You site looks very professional and your service appeals to people.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.

I think overall your service is a great idea and your site looks neat and professional.  It is also easy to understand and navigate.

There are a few things that I would change in which I stated above.  I think you should go into more detail in the “secure” and “protection” area.

I think you should make some changes to the “contact” page.  The contacting needs to be more clear and less confusing.

I think it’s a good idea that you have links to popular social networks on your site such as facebook, twitter, etc.

I think it would be a good idea if on your site you include testimonies from clients.  Reading other people’s comments helps possible future clients feel more secure about using the service.

You need to team up with other websites.  Find companies which will accept your payment method and have them put links to your site on their page.  Example, a lot of companies accept “paypal” as a payment method.  These comapnies has links to “paypal” on their site as an option to make a payment.  You need to do this and it will help you to get more clients and get your name out there.  You need to also have a list of places on your site which accepts your paying method.

  17.  What do you think the site is about?

I think Cimbal is a software that allows me to you use my smartphone for payments in stores, online and person to person safely and conveniently.

    What do you find bothersome?

That there was no reviews for customers (It helps to see how others like the servies, no site map link (just like to have an alternative way to navigate on the site), or no about us link (which could tell us more about the company, like how long you have been in business)

    What do you like?

I like the blue, it is an inviting color and also serene color, it makes me feel relax and confortable on the sight.  The site is not cluttered. I like you have more than 1 way to contact you and that you have a faq to answer the most common questions.

What do you think of the sign up process?
It was quick.  I aprreciated that you didn’t ask for a lot more information like contact information.

Would you download our app (http://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

I am not ready to go that route.  I just got use to paying bill electronically.  Maybe in about a year from now, I will be ready for your concept.  I have to take 1 step at a time.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors?

I think you at at the top of the game, you compare with the best.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.

I would feel more secure about the site if it had https://, or the lock icon, or that you are with the better business bureau or chambers of commerce

  18. Visit https://www.cimbal.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

I think the site looks very professional and neat looking. It appears to have just the right amount of information on the site without looking clutter. The use of color and the color scheme that is used, looks good and is easy on the eyes.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

I like the Cimbal logo. I think it is simple yet catches the eye. I do like the facebook, twitter, other social media buttons but I think they are too big. It is like those buttons are the focus of the page when they are not.
The FAQ and about us section are great. I think those are important sections. Also, the contact section is professional and I like the map and the address of the company.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
Like I said, I think the social media buttons are too big. I think they take the focus of what the site really is. When I look at the site, all I see is the facebook, twitter, and so on tabs.
I like how there isn’t a lot of information on the home page. It is clutter free and you are able to navigate easily throughout the site.
What do you think of the sign up process?
I think the sign up process is pretty simple. You plug in your information and you are done. I did notice that you can log in with your phone number. I think that is a good idea. Makes it easy to not remember your user name.
Would you download our app (http://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
I would download your app and sign up for a free trial to see how it works. I think it is great concept and will catch on quick. I heard Starbucks is going to have a feature where you pay through your cell phone and it is charged to your phone bill. It makes paying for things a lot easier.
I like how you are able to do much more with this app.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors?
I think it compares very well. The video helps explain what the concept and all the information that is on the site is great. I think this site goes above and beyond.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
Good luck with this site. Great!

  19. Feedback sought:

Visit https://www.cimbal.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? An application that lets you use your phone to pay for purchases.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site. After reading the description, I expected to see what type of security was used within that information. I think that the homepage should show you that it is available for the iPhone and Android models. When you look at the “faq” it says “Apply”.  Is it a line of credit based on the amount of money you have in the bank or can you just use it until funds run out in your bank account??????

What do you find bothersome? Where it says that it is “free”? What do you like? I like the fact that someone can pay you back but, I am also concerned about the security of allowing no commercial entities to be able to send funds to my account.  Even though I read about the security, I am not sure about the security of this application.

What do you think of the sign up process? I see the “lock” and the “https” on my web browser but, there is nothing showing the type of security by where you place your private information.  That is a HUGE concern.

Would you download our app (http://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account? No. If not, why? The product seems like it would be the answer to many prayers when it comes to simplifying purchases but, I have to go back to the security.  The site has not convinced me that the application is secure.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors? There are other applications that explain the security and how you are protected.  I think that this should be looked into and some type of information like this added instead of just saying what platform is used for security.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have. If  you could get it across to the consumer that this application is secure, I think that you would have a winner.  I especially like the fact that one can pay someone back with this application.  But, remember you can also do that with PayPal and not even have to have an application.

  20. Visit https://www.cimbal.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

The site allows you to use your smartphone to pay for purchases whether online or in person.  Sounds like you can use your phone in place of your credit or debit card

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

I think that the site is user friendly and had everything that I needed at my fingertips.  I loved how you included your phone number to a potential customer could call.  There are times that I want to ask a question and want to talk with a live person, not thru text chat or email.  I think my only complaint would be the social network buttons on the right side.  Just a little too big, and think they might be better at the bottom.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

I love the concept of this website and I think of it like the paypal for smartphones!  My problem would be the safety issues especially with this service especially if you lose your phone. I know that you have to enter a pin and SOX certified, but just little leery.

What do you think of the sign up process?

The sign up process was easy to do.  I just get leery putting in my banking information especially with something new.

Would you download our app (http://www.cimbal.com/product.html) and sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

I like the concept but would still need to check it out a little bit more.  For example, what merchants accepts this type of payment?  If there are no stores around me, then this would not work for me.  I do think that this idea could rival paypal in paying for services on the internet

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors?

Like I mention, I think this could become bigger than paypal.  More and more people are moving over to smartphones and this may be an easier way to pay for purchases.  Many times people will forget their wallets and don’t realize until you get to the checkout line.  Its very rare that we forget our phones!  Additionally, this could be useful to a people who sells products at homeshows, craft fairs, etc. by using this cite, they might be able sell more by offering this type of payment.  Now if a person has a merchant account, there are fees associates with it for doing business.  Maybe with this site, a person might be able to eliminate taking credit cards and just use this.  Guess time will tell

Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.

I love the concept and cant and will continue to watch out for this site and see all the merchants that sign up or vendors that sell at shows.
