  1. I think that the website is nice looking and looks like it would be worth it if you can sign up for free and see what it is about. It is a good idea for backup of your items. The 1GB should be enough for most people. The prices for the upgrades are good not very expensive. This is a good site to put all of your documents on that will be safe or need a safe place to be kept at a reasonable or free price.

Please register and create a virtual safe. Then share the safe data by using access codes or by inviting and sharing information with trusted contacts.  i did register and created a vitual safe. The registration process was simple and fast.
Access your safe data with any WebDAV client (Mac, Windows, iPhone) or use the CloudSafe MapDrive Client on Windows.  I was able to access my safe through Cloudsafe Mapdrive.
Do you have any additional comments/feedback?  The free option gave me the confidence to try the service. The 1GB will probably be enough but I am glad to have an option to upgrade if needed.

My 30 second cloudsafe home page response, is that the website is offering secured data storage, accessible from anywhere, and most importantly very secured stored – lastly that they want you to not take their advise but try it and see for yourself.

Please register and create a virtual safe. Then share the safe data by using access codes or by inviting and sharing information with trusted contacts.
I used the invite my wife Kelley.  We found that the process was not intuitive enough and that the information provided was not sufficient to get to it on her own.  In the end it took me calling and us working through it to make it work.  Also, I did not know I needed to activate my safe to make it accessible.  We found that since she created her account with cloudsafe using an email address different then the one I sent to it made a problem.  However, on a positive note.  Once we worked through the issues she could fully access my safe.

I found the file, I think you should consider locating it more visibly till you resolve the need for this client.  Also, also speaking from IT prospective we would not be wiling to install a client  as we are going 100% web driven.  As there weren’t any better directions, I never did get connected and could not be sure if it was me or if perhaps the server was not functioning.

During the registration I had to type the word I saw for verification, however, i found it much hard to find a pair I could easily make out then I have on other websites. The fist time I loaded the safe page and the ad opened I clicked create safe and it gave me page expired message, this was prior to my confirming my email address.  It would have been helpful had it said to confirm by email someplace other then when I hovered over the create safe button.  Also, it would be helpful to bulk select files for the safe and not have to select them one at a time.  I see that is currently corrected by the client but a web based solution will be great!  I felt the overall feel of the website design was bright and inviting.  I can see real Value in being able to store valuable data this way.  I can see it as an excellent back to a business trip and the data is forgotten or damaged.

I think the site is a system that stores a person’s data online. It acts like a back up system to store and protect data that could otherwise be stolen or destroyed if left only on the computer. Data could then be retrieved from any part of the world so it is easily accessible.
Please register and create a virtual safe. Then share the safe data by using access codes or by inviting and sharing information with trusted contacts.
I followed the steps to create a virtual and safe and it was simple to follow. However, I stumbled upon sharing the information because I wasn’t sure if I can only do this once my contact accepts my invitation and register also or if I can just add my contacts without them accepting. The sharing or giving someone else access to a safe is where I was confused. Once I upload the document I then move to select access chain once I select full access and decide to give access to my contacts of choice is where I get confused.
I click on add access and click on choose a person at this point I get lost between choosing a contact (not sure how to add a contact) and accessing the code. I need more instructions in this area.
Access your safe data with any WebDAV client (Mac, Windows, iPhone) or use the CloudSafe MapDrive Client on Windows.
I enabled the WebDAV, but, for a person (like me) who has never used this type of service I was lost. I am not sure why I would use WebDAV and when, again I need more instructions for this feature. I do love the fact the service is extremely protected and it gives me peace of mind, however, I need to know exactly how to use each feature and its understand its advantage. I suggest an instructional video at the beginning after signing up or a virtual tour to explain how the service works in detail.
Do you have any additional comments/feedback?
Please add instructional videos or tutorials. This is a very useful innovative tool and not many people know how to use a service like this. It is user friendly but how to share with contacts and how to use WebDav can be confusing if it is not explained in detail. Also, explain that contacts need to accept invitation in order to gain access to documents, I bypassed this piece of information and assumed I could just add them to my contact list without “them” accepting first. Also, explain how access codes are obtained.
Lastly, I found the font a bit too small which can decrease someone’s interest if they have a hard time reading what’s on the screen. I like the lay out, the colors used, just needs more instructions for average internet users to understand.

  5. What do you think the site is about?
My first impression is that CloudSafe is a site where you register and receive secure online storage that you can access anywhere else, which is good as a backup.

Please register and create a virtual safe. Then share the safe data by using access codes or by inviting and sharing information with trusted contacts.
Done.  I was confused at the beginning when my contact said they could see the safe so I had to search around the site and eventually found that I had to confirm again that I was giving them permission.  It was not something that I found immediately so that was a bit of a hassle but I did find it soon enough.  My contact did see it very quickly, within seconds, after I did that step.

This part confused me a bit.  As someone who just wants to store their things securely, I do not know what a WebDAV is. I did see the WebDAV option in my safe and enabled it but don’t really know what that did.  Did it increase security?  Do I have to use that long log in information I was given to look in my safe now?  I didn’t see any change on my part.

Do you have any additional comments/feedback?
Yes, I do. When I was adding several items into my safe that I set up, I didn’t encounter any errors but there are some changes I would like.  When choosing what to upload, I wanted to add several things at once instead of uploading one item, going back to the safe and choosing another item to upload.  If there was an option to choose several things at once (using ctrl+click or shift+click) like many sites that host photos and images, it’d speed things up a lot.  Yes, I could go into my files and compress/zip everything I have but that’s also an extra step.  Also, when I add several items to the list before the actual uploading step, I didn’t like that there was no option to change my mind and delete anything.  Once I add something to the list to be uploaded, I have to go through the whole uploading process and go back in the safe to delete it or start over and add the entire list of new uploads again and making sure not to add the other.  As for the prices themselves, I think it is very reasonable considering that the storage is kept very safe and can be accessed anywhere, in case of an accident.  I imagine some people may want more storage in the future, though.  The appearance of the site is clean and not distracting, but not boring and unprofessional.  I like that even before getting a safe, the account password must be secure enough to pass.  Thanks for the opportunity to find this site as I have not heard of services that store files and keep them encrypted and safe.  Good luck!

  6. Visit https://secure.cloudsafe.com. Spend no more than 30 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
It’s very easy to tell what the site is about. It’s encrypted online storage that can be accessed from anywhere with a computer and the files can be shared with people you trust.
Please register and create a virtual safe. Then share the safe data by using access codes or by inviting and sharing information with trusted contacts.
Registration was quite easy, although the fact that I had to keep beefing up my password to the point that I have no chance of remembering it was kind of annoying. Your password requirements are quite strict. I can’t decide if this is a good thing or not,I think it will depend on who you ask. I would say, provide a warning that the password is weak and some suggestions on fixing it,but let the registration continue if the customer so chooses. I was able to set up sharing on my safe, but it was quite  complicated for me.
Access your safe data with any WebDAV client (Mac, Windows, iPhone) or use the CloudSafe MapDrive Client on Windows.
I was able to access my data using WebDav. The user interface for accessing data and looking at files and pictures worked flawlessly,I really liked it.

I’m on the fence with this one. The site is amazing and so extremely secure it’s crazy. On the one side of the fence you’ll have a normal internet user. I don’t think Cloudsafe would be very good for the average user. Your help and faq page was nice, but it still caters more towards,at the very least, someone intermediate at tech speech. I don’t recommend changing the program, but maybe throw up a training page focused on someone that doesn’t really know that much about protocols and webdav and all those other things. On the other side of the fence you have business owners and tech people that will very much appreciate the security. If you can understand how to set up and utilize everything,Cloudsafe is amazing. As it sits,I do not see Cloudsafe being very applicable to an everyday user of the internet,I think most will go and use another easier to use and understand (And less secure) online backup. I do however see anyone that is in need of extremely safe backup and sharing using this service. I would personally feel at ease uploading absolutely anything to Cloudsafe after seeing how the program works. I’d say, either provide some resources for “newbies” or just focus on marketing to the business world or anyone that needs high security backup and sharing. Thanks for letting me review your site.  Dustin

Looks like an online file storage/sharing site.

Please register and create a virtual safe. Then share the safe data by using access codes or by inviting and sharing information with trusted contacts.

I’m not exactly sure why you asked for my gender… Seems kinda weird.  When I clicked in “create safe” in the center of the page (after registering) I received an error message that the page had expired.  When I clicked on the other “create safe” link I received the correct message that I needed to verify my e-mail.  I think you should remove the “create safe” button form the center of the page. I did not receive a confirmation e-mail. Without the verification e-mail I have no way of creating a safe.  I have checked my mailbox for the past 5 minutes, and still no verification e-mail.  I’m sorry that I can’t continue without that.  I did put some more comments about the site below.

I like the images and layout for the site.  The tabs at the top are easy to read and find.  The box on the right is nice.  The colors and fonts are great.  I also like how the boxes in the main part of the page can collapse.  It would really be great if you added a short tutorial or a little more information about how to use the site.

  8. Follow-up …
I went back and finally found the verification e-mail. I created a safe and uploaded info.  Then I added a person with access.  The process was super easy and felt very secure.  I love the 3 options for safe sharing!  I guess that the next step is the person I added will receive a verification e-mail to gain access to my safe.  It takes way too long for your verification e-mails to go out.  🙁

  9. Visit https://secure.cloudsafe.com. Spend no more than 30 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

The site is for users that want to obtain online storage to save their files on. This is helpful for instances like if your computer has to be backdated or if you change the operating system. If your system crashes you have all of your files stored in the online storage.

Registration was very simple and user friendly. The only issue I had was the recaptha field did not show up. I had to reload it several times, and finally when I opened it in a different browser it showed up. I shared the information with my husband just to see how it worked, and it was very easy and simple to do.
Access your safe data with any WebDAV client (Mac, Windows, iPhone) or use the CloudSafe MapDrive Client on Windows.
I was able to access my data using WebDAV and it worked perfectly. I was very surprised at how simple it was.

The color scheme of the site is done well. You can easily see what CloudSafe is all about from the main page. I think the site really gives the feel to a user that it is trustworthy. The only real issue I saw was that when you go to about us section at the bottom it says contact. It gives an email and a fax number but not number. I just find it strange that a fax is provided but no number to call directly.

  10. Great feedback so far, thank you all!! We will give out the awards later today.
