Community Elf is based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and serves auto dealers, property managers, and growing business throughout the United States.
In the speech bubbles where it says Create, Simplify and Connect, the flowers kindof threw me off. The first thing that came to mind when i saw the flowers was “Why are the flowers there if you’re targeting those people?”.
Q. What do you find bothersome? What do you like? A. The box on the left is slightly shorter than the rest. I like the colors, though. They are very relaxing and they match.
Q. What do you think of the sign up process? A. I couldn’t find a register link.
Q. Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why? A. I could if i would.(check previous answer)
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like http://www.community-sherpa.com? A. It is definitely a less organized sight when compared.

This site offers business owners the opportunity to pay to have their social networking sites maintained for them.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
I’m not really sure why this site is called “Community Elfâ€. What does an elf have to do with social networking, and what do flowers and circles (?) have to do with elves? I like the colorful aspect of it all, just not sure how the design is related to the theme. Under the “Pricing†section, it seems that blog posts are only offered for apartments and car dealerships? I’m not sure why those two industries are singled out, when I thought the services were available for all different types of businesses.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
Like I said, I really don’t get why this company is called “Community Elfâ€. I like the fun, colorful, design, but I don’t think it fits in with the concept they’re trying to go for. I’ve also noticed some spelling mistakes. Normally, when I see spelling mistakes, I will NOT give my money to a site because I feel like they lose some legitimacy if they cannot spell.
What do you think of the sign up process?
There is a sign-up process? These people must really not want to make any money because I have visited every page on the site and have not seen a link to sign up for services. Not even on the “Pricing†page! I’m assuming you need to “Contact Us†to sign up.
Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
I would not because I am not a business owner and I don’t feel like this website is all the way together yet. It seems as though it was rushed into creation and some things need to be fixed. First of all, I’d need a sign-up page in order to be able to sign up!
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like http://www.community-sherpa.com?
I believe community-sherpa is a more professional environment than Community Elf. But, the concept is generally all the same.

I think that the creators of Community Elf need to re-evaluate the design of their website. Their name (although I am not sure how it correlates to social networking) does not match anything on the site. There is one little elf in the logo. I also think they should focus on accommodating other businesses that aren’t automotive or apartment rental. That really limits their client base. I would also suggest a sign-up page.
Hi Mikamura,
Thanks for your input on the site, it’s always great to hear honest feedback on something we’ve put a lot of work into!
To answer your first question, the foliage on the homepage were added for two reasons: 1- they looked good with the current color scheme, and 2- they give a visual feeling of the simplicity we try to express with our brand. Our goal is to use social media in a natural and effective way, and plants seemed like a good way go get that across. I see what you mean though, and I’ll have our designers take a look. I’ll also have them take a look at  the box sizes.
Our registration process is a little more involved than having a direct registration process. Since each package can be individually catered, it is much easier on both parties to speak on the phone or in person. We would be happy to speak with you if you are interested in our services, so please send me an email or fill out the contact form!
How did you find the sight less organized than our competitors? We are aiming for an easy to understand site, and would love any feedback as to how we could perfect that.Â
Thanks for your input, please feel free to contact me with any more questions or comments!

Hi Bnici1015,
Thanks for the great input, we really appreciate it!Â
To answer your first question– as elves are magical creatures who work in the background to make miracles happen (think Santa’s elves), so do we for peoples social media outlets. We do our work on the back-end, and our clients get to present a strong, cohesive social media presence. The look and feel of the site was also taken into consideration of our branding, and if you find any spelling errors please email me and I will immediately have them removed.
You are correct in assuming that you would need to contact us in order to sign up. Since each service package can be individually altered to fit your particular business, having an online registration simply would not work. We would prefer to speak with clients on the phone or in person to make sure we are on the same page, and so that we can deliver exactly what our clients request.
Thank you for your input, we appreciate your honesty!. Â I would be happy to answer any questions you have about the site, so please feel free to contact me at any time.
