  1. 1) Look around the home page for about 5 seconds and answer the following two questions:
    (a) What is the site about? This site is for selling your used items or crafts.
    (b) Is it clear what is in it for you? In other words, as a visitor what do you “get”? Yes this is very clear to me.  This is a site that I can certainly benefit from because I have items that I need to sell.
    2) Now go back to the site and look around for about 30 seconds. What is your initial impression of what you see? This site will handle the financial transactions for me and I think this is great!
    3) What is the very first thing you feel encouraged to click? Signing up with my email address.  Can you explain why? It appears to be the easiest way to sign up for me. I don’t like sharing my facebook information with companies until I get to trust them so I would sign up with my email address.
    4) By now have you figured out what the site does? Yes I have.  If you have, what exactly was it that helped you understand? (An image? A block of text? ) The second paragraph summed it up the best for me; Corkket will be there for every step of the process from listing the item to the exchange. Since payment is handled through the site, just exchange a QR code for the item, shake hands and you’re done.
    5) Click on the “Browse” button and visit the next page. Briefly describe what you see and your first impression? I see a lot of items for sale with pictures and their prices. My first impression is that I know at a glance that I can certainly benefit from this site. I really liked the search button as well as the map button on the top left of the page.
    6) Please share any additional feedback you may have. I am glad that I was able to visit this site today because I certainly am interested in signing up and uses this service.

  2. 1) Look around the home page for about 5 seconds and answer the following two questions:
    (a) What is the site about? Its about buying and selling stuff locally.
    (b) Is it clear what is in it for you? In other words, as a visitor what do you “get”? From what I understand I think individuals can sell stuff that they have.
    2) Now go back to the site and look around for about 30 seconds. What is your initial impression of what you see? It is interesting but not sure what a QR code is. Also its not clear if the seller gets cash or is it just a site for exchange.
    3) What is the very first thing you feel encouraged to click? Can you explain why? The Browse button on the bottom…as that is the first link I see…it would be good to see a faq or how crockett works link.
    4) By now have you figured out what the site does? If you have, what exactly was it that helped you understand? (An image? A block of text? ) Yes I kind of understand what the site does and it is the piece of text that made me understand…but a little bit more explanation on qr codes would be nice to have.
    5) Click on the “Browse” button and visit the next page. Briefly describe what you see and your first impression? I see a bunch of stuff people are trying to sell everything from new, to like new to used. Its interesting to see what people have listed and I was able to sort by categories as well…which is cool. Sorting by price would also be a good feature to have.
    6) Please share any additional feedback you may have. – A different kind of website and interesting. Will explore more to see what I can do with bitcoins

  3. 1) Look around the home page for about 5 seconds and answer the following two questions:

    (a) What is the site about?

From what I can see, it’s about selling products locally, but I’m not certain what that means. Who’s selling and who’s buying? Is it ecommerce? Is it a storefront? What kind of buying and selling? Products only? Services only? Both? Does it include tickets to local events?

    (b) Is it clear what is in it for you? In other words, as a visitor what do you “get”?

When, I read down a bit (which most first-time visitors will not do), I can see that this is about individuals selling to individuals. That it doesn’t require people coming over to the house and they can pay on the site.

But that leaves a great deal to the imagination. How do people purchase an item? Do they look at online photos?  Or do sellers bring their items to a location where buyers have an opportunity to see the products before purchasing. Seeing the product beforehand is one of the main benefits of shopping locally.

You bring up refunds so much, are you expecting a lot of refunds?

    2) Now go back to the site and look around for about 30 seconds. What is your initial impression of what you see?

And as I alluded to above, don’t expect first-time visitor to stay on the site long enough to get all the information. They won’t.

There are multiple possibilities for more clearly showing rather than telling what Corkket is about, i.e.: a video to show people how it works or a header photo that provides information?

Or a name and tagline that more clearly express what you are doing. “Join the Revolution” is cute, but it doesn’t say anything. “Let’s Make A Better Way To Buy And Sell Locally,” is clear by itself. Buy and Sell what, how? Is this a way for Mom and Pop stores to do a better job of selling locally, buy utilizing the internet? It could be from just: “Let’s Make A Better Way To Buy And Sell Locally.”

Are you looking specifically for tech savvy people who understand what QR codes are? Are you looking for people who specifically understand what bitcoins are? Many people have never heard of either.

    3) What is the very first thing you feel encouraged to click? Can you explain why?

I didn’t want to sign in. So, I clicked on “Browse” to see what is being sold and to get a bit better idea of what this site is about. I found the search icon. (Showing the blanks search field, next to the icon would make it easier to find.) I typed in watches and up came a hard drive. ???

    4) By now have you figured out what the site does? If you have, what exactly was it that helped you understand? (An image? A block of text? )

I’m getting a little bit better idea. I think the categories helped, so I could see what products are being sold.

    And “Services” in the footer.

If you specifically want buyers and sellers who are interested in using Bitcoins, that is part of your value proposition and should be up front and center.

    5) Click on the “Browse” button and visit the next page. Briefly describe what you see and your first impression?

A large variety of items. Most of the pictures are clear. Not all. There is a guitar that is only partially visible. I clicked on the link and the photo in hope that there would be more photos but there weren’t.

What I would prefer is a list of the categories and maybe a row showing a sampling of photos for each of the categories, rather than a hodgepodge. But that might just be me. I mind likes the assistance of organization tools in order to process everything more quickly and easily.

    6) Please share any additional feedback you may have.

I’m not certain if this is a unique use of bitcoins or not, but that might be your biggest selling feature. Other than bitcoins and QR codes, I’m not certain how this is more beneficial than using Craigslist.

People can post a bunch of photos on Craigslist, so people can determine whether or not they want to buy something. And, if someone decides to buy and goes to the location to pick it up, as the seller, I prefer to receive payment before the item leaves my possession. That might be different with bitcoins.

And if I were you, I would focus on this being a bitcoin site from the very top of the home page.

  4. 1) Look around the home page for about 5 seconds and answer the following two questions:
    (a) What is the site about?
Although 5 seconds were not enough to read everything but I did have a look at the main headings and I think I understand what the site does. Right when we open the page, the first thing we notice is the layout and the logo and the next thing is the line which says BUY AND SELL LOCALLY. So that line itself is enough to get an idea as to what the website does. Only thing left to find out after this would be how exactly the process works .i.e. will the website be a medium to facilitate exchange between buyers and sellers or will the sellers sell to the website and then the website will sell to the buyers. I think we can find more by reading the information given as we scroll down.
    (b) Is it clear what is in it for you? In other words, as a visitor what do you “get”?
Yes, I think the website serves to make the buying and selling process easier for people. We can buy stuff and also sell any of our own items on the website. It will save us time. We can buy anything hosted on the website without having to visit someplace, just by a click of our mouse. Similarly, for the sellers, there is no need to have a yard sale and invite people. Selling would only require putting up a picture of the item we want to sell. We will also have an even wider reach.
    2) Now go back to the site and look around for about 30 seconds. What is your initial impression of what you see?
My initial impression is very positive. I love the layout of the website very much. It looks extremely simple. It has given a lot of information to help the visitors understand what the website does. I love the concept of the website and the logo of the website. The logo is looking very nice with the background which has been used. The white color for the text is a really nice choice as the white is really coming out well on a darker background. I like that social networking websites have been linked because I think that is a very nice way to reach more people and to keep everyone informed about the company. Humble colors and many pictures have been used to make the website look more appealing. The website looks quite modern. I also appreciate the search bar which has been provided on the homepage because it will save a lot of time if we know exactly what we are looking for and we would not have to look for it manually.
    3) What is the very first thing you feel encouraged to click? Can you explain why?
The very first thing I feel encouraged to click would be the browse button. This is because now that I have read the information provided on the website, I would like to see how it works and how popular the website actually is. I would like to see how the products have been presented, whether the products have been categorised and whether there are options to filter our search.
    4) By now have you figured out what the site does? If you have, what exactly was it that helped you understand? (An image? A block of text? )
Yes, I have figured out what the website does. What helped me understand was the information provided under the head ” LET’S MAKE A BETTER WAY TO BUY AND SELL LOCALLY”.
    5) Click on the “Browse” button and visit the next page. Briefly describe what you see and your first impression?
When I clicked on the Browse button, the next page which opened had a lot of listings and I saw four icons beside the logos. I love the autocomplete feature of the search bar because many a times we don’t remember very well what the product was called and this will be a great help. I also liked that there is a way by which we can choose to display fresh listings or all the listings or listings with respect to area and that the products have been categorised. But what I did not like is that there are not a lot of ways to filter our search by sizes, prices etc.. Neither is there a way to change view type (eg. grid view, list view) nor any way to sort our search results (eg. by price – high to low/low to high, only bitcoin, only card, bitcoin and card). I also liked that the pictures which have been put up is of very high quality and the product is clearly visible. I think that the pictures on the search page can be set up in such a way that when we put our cursor on a particular product picture, it starts a slideshow and we can see all the different camera angle shots of that particular product without having to click on the product and open the next page.

    6) Please share any additional feedback you may have.
I think that the website has provided enough information. It is very easy to understand. The search page should have more features. I think adding some features like the filters, the sort options etc. would make it even more amazing and user-friendly. I also think that a feedback option should be added as it will help know what it is that the customers are having trouble with or what their wants are and that the support option should be placed at a much more visible area, so that people know that they can seek help if required. This will also help with the trust-factor. Other than that, I think the website is great.
I’d like to thank you for providing me this opportunity to help you. Good luck with the website! Take care! Goodbye!
