I like the design of the home page and I think the information displayed gives all the necessary details about the extension. It’s very clear that it’s a great extension that helps you save money.

First time I tried to use the extension in Chrome browser and it froze my browser. I could not use it at all and I had to remove the extension.
I managed to use it on Firefox; this browser seems more compatible with the extension.

Yes, it worked as intended. It was very easy to use and it found the best coupon to use for my shopping cart.

    3) If this was not a test, would you be encouraged to download the extension? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

Yes but only if I was using it on Firefox since Chrome didn’t work with the extension. I would definitely use it and recommend it to my friends because it searches automatically for the best coupon to use. Normally I do this manually and it takes a lot of time.

    4) Does the site accurately convey that the browser extension automates the process of finding the best coupon code for your purchase?

I would mostly say yes but it wouldn’t hurt to add some extra text which states more clearly that it gives you best coupon – best option.

It would be really nice to have the example picture in the middle of the page and not on the left side. How it is now it makes me think that the layout does not fit somehow on the page and perhaps the page is not displayed correctly.

The background is a bit too simple (especially the first part of the home page). It would be nice to add some more color.

Please make it stable also for Chrome. Firefox froze a bit but it eventually recovered from being frozen.

  2. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Scroll up/down and share your thoughts.

It is very concise and easy to navigate. No information overload and no excessive information – straight to the point. The white background is not intrusive and rather pleases the eye.

After installing it on Firefox, which only took a few seconds, I proceeded to checkout. While the extension was searching for the best coupon, my browser was freezing as the search was progressing and it took longer than it intended (the estimated time was 33 seconds, whereas in reality it took longer). The coupon search crashed as I left the page so in order for it to be completed I had to stay on the page. It was easy to find and use nevertheless.

    3) If this was not a test, would you be encouraged to download the extension? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

Surely, I would let the extension search the best deals and show what coupons are applicable and how much I would save in total.

    4) Does the site accurately convey that the browser extension automates the process of finding the best coupon code for your purchase?

Yes but you only get to automatize the search by going through with the checkout – otherwise while visiting the website I could scroll through the available coupons and even that was a great time saver!

It would be nice if I could keep on browsing other websites while it is searching for the best applicable coupon.

  3. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Scroll up/down and share your thoughts.
By just a quick look of the homepage, I was able to easily identify what the site is about. The top portion pretty much explains it.

Scrolling further down the page, I find the sections easy to read and understand.

The simplicity of the page is really nice. I like the colors and layout as well. It is pretty easy to navigate around the site.

    2) Install the extension on your browser. Try the extension at Express.com. Add some items to your cart and click on the checkout. Click “Find Best Coupon” when prompted. Did it work as intended? Was it easy to use?
Yes it was easy to use. It worked pretty well!

    3) If this was not a test, would you be encouraged to download the extension? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Yes I think this is really useful. It eliminates the need to search and try out coupon codes one by one. I think this extension is really helpful.

    4) Does the site accurately convey that the browser extension automates the process of finding the best coupon code for your purchase?
I got the idea that it finds coupons automatically but I was confused on how it actually works. I was looking for a demo but couldn’t find one. Turns out, there was one at the google extension page. It would be nice if it was also included at the website.

One thing that wasn’t clear for me on the homepage are the “Popular A B C” links at the footer. I clicked on it and led me to a list of online stores. Maybe adding a heading/title to it will make it less confusing.

And, I finally saw the Video link at the footer. I feel like it is somewhat hidden. Personally, I would like to see demos of a product and usually look for it at the homepage.

All in all, I find the site well done and the extension to be really good. I think people will definitely find this useful.

  4. 1. The home page is eye catching and peaked my interest right away. I love to save money on retail purchases so I would explore this site to see what it has to offer. The tag line Paying Full Price is Overrated is clever. I do not like the red logo. After looking closely I can see that it is a price tag with bird wings. You have to examine it to figure that out and I don’t think red is the best color selection. I would rather see a graphic of money to make it clear that cash is what you will be saving. I am not a fan of the background graphics. I do not understand the significance of smiley faces, cats, clothes hangers, etc drawn in a child like manner. It almost looks like wallpaper for a child’s room. There should be graphics that are aimed more at adults and are representative of the savings this extension has to offer. I like the convenience of the download options. It is clearly marked and easy to use. I downloaded it quickly. I would put the wording free browser extension in bolder letters and a different color. If it is not noticed that could be the end of someone exploring the site further.

    2. I selected shoes and a dress from the store. The operation of the extension was slick. I loved it. I could not have been more thrilled to see further savings options on the right of the screen. Not only did I have an option to save more money I even had a selection. The explanation of the savings was very clear. I picked the one I wanted and saw the price of my purchase go down. Who could not love this? The operation of the process was simple. I found the entire shopping process easy and convenient. It left a very positive image of CouponMate.

    3. I would definitely take advantage of CouponMate. There is nothing to loose and money to gain. The download process was simple and a simple click for coupons on the site you are shopping on brought about substantial savings. This is something I would tell my friends about. I do not see any security issues with it and feel comfortable having it in my hard drive.

    4. I think that message should be emphasized more. Nothing on the home page really nails that message down. I could only guess at what the site offers.Again, the background graphics are not representative of the site. I would update those to get the message across. This concept is fairly new so many people are going to not only need an explanation of the site but may not know what an extension is. I would include some users comments as to how they saved money using the site.

    5. I am very impressed with what this site does but there is room for improvement. When I actually went shopping and saw the site in action I was blown away. I think an instructional video would add a lot to the site. Then you could see someone shopping and reaping the rewards of the site. It would also show how easy it is to use. The number of places that accept CouponMate is impressive. It would be nice to see some names of well known retailers to solidify the legitimacy of the site.
