About Craftybase:

Craftybase is a project management, inventory and sales tracking web app for people who make handmade products.

Keep track of your sales & profit margins: Always know at a glance how much you are making from each of your products, and overall – by month and by year.

Log your manufacturing costs: Use the work log tracker to log when and how many products you made. Find out how much it really costs you in time and money to create each item.

Know your stock levels: Keep an inventory list and set low stock alerts to make sure you never run out of materials again. Create “material recipes” so you can quickly stock up for your next project.

Import your data from Etsy: Automatically import your sales, listings and transactions instantly from Etsy at the touch of a button.

  1. Databases are synonymous to an archive that both stores data that could be retrievable at any given time. Such this ‘craftybase’ isn’t so important if everyone has a knowledge in in microsoft  excel for instance since you can do somewhat similar yet on a limited features. But what really got my attention in craftybase is that: it has all the salient  features of whatever your craft is to be manage.

More so, managing incoming and outgoing of your items are perfectly done along with the levels of your stock. I would say, yes! It really attracts me to have one.

Even if I have not tested it yet but I noticed it’s similarity to the betsy platform that perfectly do the same but was familiar just recently in Germany and was brought to the Middle East and now I think is also all over. But what makes you different is you brought up at StartUpLift, you have the edge then.

It’s all about simple inventory and sales/income at a first glance.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

I find it hesitant to signup consideriing that it doesn’t show much like HOW IT WORKS/ HOW TO VIDEOS. I dont like to signup just collecting emails and personal information.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

Nope. Signup is too invasive for this site without getting into creating a first hand user experience of what expectations after I have seen everything. I would rather have a demo account created before signing up.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.

Create a demo account instead of asking for signup immediately. Signup is good if you want to save information or what you have created. Remember your site has some characteristics of a Saas platform. You should entice me more before signing up since you have a Microsoft excel to do it for you.

Depends on what the cost will be. If it is too high or unknown, I won’t waste my time.

Materials page, allow default Quantity UM rather than using ‘Item’
Materials summary page, allow filter by category (at the very least, allow sort by category)
Materials summary page, filter materials by Low Stock, with sort by Company code
    – I want to show all materials from Acme cO. that I need to order)

Project, categories should include Qty, Size, Color,
    – I need to see how many Small Baby outfits are in stock
I want to track an item that I make make multiples of, rather than considering every indivdual piece a Product.
    – I want to see “How many of the Blue/White small boxes have sold over the last year”.
    – Or at least, be able to see “I made 4 of the Small Blue/White boxes and 2 have sold”
Material and Sales (anywhere with price info) – Price should show as 2 decimal places
You can import from Etsy. Can you export to Etsy? Otherwise it would be a pain to track everything here but have to create new items in Etsy and then import them back into CraftyBase. (Or enter them twice).
Also seems like it would be a pain to go into Etsy and delete (when sold) and then come back here to update too.
Maybe Etsy would be interested in a closer connection where their site was fully linked to your tracking?
