  1. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
This is a beautifully designed home page. It is attractive. Catches my interest by the photos of tea “above the scroll,” with more supporting information below. Your navigation bar has more items than is usually comfortable, however, even this provides hints of information that is intriguing for someone unfamiliar with tea growing, an opportunity to learn about different plantations, flushes, etc. The use of various shades of green is excellent for a tea site; the mixture of warm and cooler shades of green gives it multi-dimensions.
If you have read any of my other reviews, you know that I generally have ideas for several improvements. Here I only have two suggestions:
According to the information you provide on StartUpLift, one of the main value points is: “The world’s best Darjeeling teas right at your doorstep from Darjeeling.” However, I do not see this mentioned on the home page. I think you might want to add it. For tea lovers around the world, I think, it would bring images of India and smells of fresh tea brewing. It is an excellent selling point.
The second thing would attract people like me who drink only herbal teas. I did not know about Chai teas and would not know intuitively that these are herbal teas. I thought they might be, so clicked through. You may increase your customers by mentioning on your home page (and possibly elsewhere in your marketing that you have herbal teas.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
I wanted to find out if the Chai teas are indeed herbal. So, I clicked on the link and found the information I wanted, with links to find out more information about each kind of tea.
There was nothing confusing, however, I do have a suggestion. The site mentions that these teas are 100% organic. But it does not mention if they are caffeine free. The green tea blend, I presume is not, but the other two might be. And there may be other teas that are also caffeine free. That is something people would want to know—at least those of us in the US.
(You might also want to mention the 100% organic & caffeine free on the home page. It will attract buyers.)
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
If I were a big tea drinker or if I were buying a gift for a big tea drinker, I would be. Since I am not, the prices are higher than I would be interested in paying at this time. Therefore, I would not be interested.
Question: This question says “Sign up for a free trial?” What does this mean? Is there a cost for joining your site? Are there discounts, special offers, information, discussion boards for members? If so, there is nothing that I noticed on the site indicating this. Having such could be a selling point for tea lovers; and a lot more extra work for you, at least, initially.
    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I looked through the first page on Google and didn’t see any other companies that do exclusively tea delivery. Most do tea and coffee, with an emphasis on the coffee. Arizona Tea has a variety of beverages. I went to http://www.bocajava.com.
To my eye, your site is more attractive. Bocajava.com is brown, presumably for coffee. The home page is all about coffee. When I clicked on the Google link, it took me directly to the tea page. It doesn’t have anywhere near the selections of tea that you do. Their descriptions are well-written and enticing, but not as good as yours. And your site offers something else that goes beyond words: It expresses a love of tea and for Darjeeling. The one thing that Boca Java has in its favor is the price: all teas are under $10.00 US.

Whomever wrote the copy for your site, did a great job.
The one other thing that might add to your site is a video of the fields of tea and the story of how the teas are grown, harvested, blended, and brought fresh to someone’s doorstep. This could be a big project and one that could bring in a lot of customers . . . especially if you also place the video on YouTube and elsewhere.

  2. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
I like your home page, the color is easy to look at and made me interested in looking further.  I especially like the pictures of the tea.  I find that you have many covered all areas in the navigation bar and I was enticed to look at the plantations to see exactly where this tea comes from.  I also liked the section to the left where when we put our cursor over it, the answer comes out on the right side.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
I wanted to look for the prices so I clicked on “Buyer’s Guide”.  The information in there is very interesting but it didn’t give me the prices. I would suggest you put this section as “History” and maybe put one of the pictures on the home page because it made me very interested in learning more.  I would suggest you have a “prices” section at the top on the home page.
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
I would definitely sign up for a free trial and was impressed that it was an option.  Again though, I would want to see all the prices before doing anything and they are not clearly stated.
    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I visited https://www.teavana.com and I have to say that I was intrigued.  What caught my eye was how they illustrated the tea, with fruit, etc.  I would recommend you do the same because it really made me want to buy this tea, it made me think it would be delicious just because of the way they illustrated it.  It also clearly shows the price with each picture which is very important to any consumer.
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Your website is well done, the most important thing is to have the prices very easy to see, elaborate on the History because it is very interesting and illustrate your teas in a different manner so the viewer can “taste” it just by looking at it – this could bring in more business for you.

  3. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
I thought that the page was a wee bit clustered, I felt that a lot of the page was attractive and eye catching with those exotic blends of teas but I didn’t like that it was a bit clustered. But what was there was needed, so maybe add some tabs to free up some space?
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
I was wondering what each tea was good for because health is a ‘biggie’ when it comes to customers looking to buy a new product to consume, health is popular now a days. I was unable to find it, I did find articles about taste and seasons these leaves blossom but nothing on it’s benefits be it for the body or aroma therapy.
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
I was encouraged by the tab that suggested that I should try it before I purchase it, which already shows integrity from the website. To create a new account seemed simple and hassle free. Although I think it would benefit from testimonials from real customers and of course adding its health benefits.
    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I found another website which was complicated to navigate so that already is something to look down upon but what I did find was that they did have research and articles that mentioned how each tea is different and beneficial. Since this is a big issue with me I have to say I prefer the other site.
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I really loved that you had live experts on your site, I didn’t try it out but if they are there to help you out with questions about healthcare as related to each tea then this site is perfect except for that clustered feeling on the homepage.
