  1. 1) Visit https://www.droneme.com/. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?

My first impression about the site is that, I feel it’s a site that allow me to say something to a person that I afraid of telling him/her on face to face. No, I’m not immediately drawn to click any button because there is nothing for me to click on beside the contact us, upload image and the send secret button. I feel like wanted to know how it works. So I do feel like trying to send a secret out. 2) Send a secret to a Twitter user? Was the process straightforward?

Yes, the process is very simple and easy. I just have to write the message and upload a image if I have one, choose the font color and click on send secret. 3) Are you encouraged to use it? If not, why?

No, because I don’t feel like there is anything special with it. It got no difference between sending a message through email. I can email the person my secret. This is just another alternative way for me and it’s more simpler. Unless I want to remain unknown to the person. I can send it without telling my name. 4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors? do you know other competitors?

I didn’t know any other similar site, but I did some google search and i manage to found two site which provide similar service, which is www.silentsender.com and http://www.send-email.org. For the silent sender site, it require more steps when retrieving the message, which it need the message number to review the message. It will make the user feel more safety. Your site provide a simple and straightforward way which is convenience and fast for the user. Another site was send-email.org, the site provide the same straightforward way of sending an unknown email to a person. I tried to send a message to my email but it’s about 5minutes ago and I still didn’t receive any message from the site. For me, your site looks more professional without those advertisement and it’s clear and straightforward. Also, your site allow users to send image and also the font colors which it does not provided by the others competitors.5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have

For the homepage, which is your main page, it’s simple and there is no problem about the design. For the new visitor better understanding about your site, I suggest you can create a step by step how it works below the Droneme title. Some people might just leave the site when they didn’t know how is the process, they don’t even want to try because they afraid it require lots of steps. So, if you provide a two or three steps instruction, it would be an advantage for the site.
I notice that in the email it stated that the message only posted for 69hours. The message posted can be extended because some people might not checking their mail in 3days. For me, a week time would be more preferable.

    1) Visit https://www.droneme.com/. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?

Initial impression is that Droneme is a very 1-dimensional website. Not much to do except one thing: sent twitter “secrets.” This lack of content will not keep people on your site, which is your objective.

    2) Send a secret to a Twitter user? Was the process straightforward?

Done. I thought it was easy, but it appears to not have sent. I had to click through send several times and then it said the email was invalid. If your one thing you do doesn’t work, you are in trouble.
    3) Are you encouraged to use it? If not, why?

If I need to send something anonymously, yes. Facebook nixed a similar service to send anonymously. Are you concerned that Twitter will take legal action as well?

    4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors? do you know other competitors?

I am not aware of the competitors at this time. Do you have any competitors?

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

    1. Will Twitter do anything to stop this service?
    2. Do you plan on adding any content to your site?
    3. Do you wish to make ad revenue with your site?
    4. I wish you provided some selling points or genuine reasons why your service is needed (other than “we all have secrets”)
    5. I just tried sending a message for the third time. It is confusing because the text and email blanks are not working. It says I have invalid email.

After attempting 3 times, it is not obviously clear or easy to use your seemingly 1-dimensional site, which should be easy since you only do one thing. The frustration and lack of simplification is enough to encourage me not to come back unless you get it to be much easier.

It doesn’t make sense why the user is redirected to a 2nd screen after initially hitting send the first time on the homepage. The message should automatically go through the first time.

  3. Very original idea, but it needs more items on the webpage.  Something to make me share a “confession” with one of my twitter friends.  Nothing on the webpage wants to make me click any of the buttons.

It was set up to be very easy to send a secret message.  The option to upload a picture worked nice too.  I tried to send a secret message and try the service out.  But I had to do it several times and at the end I gave up on it.  It kept on telling me that my account was invalid.  You need to check this out if you want to make this website a success.

If I need to send a message without someone knowing it was me, I might be interested.  But the company should be worried about legal action from twitter for using there system without there knowledge.

I did find a rival service that is just like your site called Tweet From Above and Tweet From Below.  The Tweet From Above is for good messages while the other service is I guess for dirty messages that you don’t want to be associated with.  But for right now on the site, all accounts have been suspended.   I fear the same thing for your site.

I do believe you need people enter a CAPTCHA code to not let Spam go through your site.  It would be nice to add some more content to the site.  Make it a bit more flashy If the twwets are secret, you are able to record the IP address of the sender and that could get the person sending the messgae and maybe the company into legal trouble.

  4. 1. First impression? I’m intrigued. Your tagline, “because we know sometimes you want to tell a secret,” makes me curious right away. The image of the girl with a sly smile and the guy sneaking a peak in her direction enhances the feeling of secrecy, fun, and flirtation. However, I’m not sure I understand what your site is actually for at first glance. It looks like I could send a tweet or email to someone anonymously. Is that accurate? My first instinct is to click on something that would explain it to me for sure, but there’s nothing like that, so my only option is to go ahead and enter some text.

    2. I don’t have any friends on Twitter and wasn’t about to send an unidentified tweet to a random stranger, so I emailed myself a test “drone” instead. The process was definitely straightforward. I just typed in the “secret,” entered the email address, chose a text color, and hit send.

However, after I sent my secret drone, I was redirected to a page that showed my drone in huge, bold text with options to republish it to various social media. I wasn’t quite sure what the purpose of this was. Why would I want to digg a secret message or give it a Google +1 or whatever? I think what you need here is just a basic confirmation page that says something like, “Your secret drone has been sent!” The way you have it now, I’m not sure if it was sent or not, and it’s just confusing.

After I sent the drone, I hopped over to my email account to see if I’d received it. Indeed I had. But I have to say that the email format could use some work. It looks like it was sent from a mobile phone; there isn’t adequate spacing between lines, and there are grammatical errors. It ends up looking like spam and doesn’t do much to really intrigue the recipient. Here’s what I’d suggest to improve your standard email:

–Change the subject line to “Someone sent you a secret drone on Droneme.com!” Unfortunately, it still looks spammy, but there’s no way you can avoid that. At least it’s more provocative than a subject line that just says, “Droneme,” which isn’t going to mean anything to most recipients.

–Clean up grammar and spelling. “Someone just Drone you” should be: “Someone just droned you.” The third line, “to see the message click here,” should be: “To see the message, click here.” You need a comma after “Regards” since it’s a closing. The last line doesn’t need quotes and should have the first word capitalized. Also, switch the position of “just” and “for.” It should be: “…for just 69 hours.”

–Double space between lines in the body of the email to make it easier to read.

–Try offsetting the actual drone with quotes, italics, or bold text to draw attention to it. Actually, I chose blue text for the drone, but it’s doesn’t show up blue in the email. Why’s that?

–Think about adding an image (like the one on your home page) or at least a signature line to make the email look more legitimate. Again, a lot of people will confuse it with spam.

–Do you actually want people to view the drone in the email, or do you want them to visit your site? Because if you include the drone in the email, as you do now, no one will have the motivation to visit your site unless there’s something else they can do there. Consider just sending the link to the drone rather than the drone itself. Or, if you want to include the drone, maybe invite the recipient to respond to it on Droneme. That would give them an incentive to visit the site.

–I tested the link in the email to make sure it worked, and it did. The enormous size of the text is kind of overwhelming, though. Also, why did you choose 69 hours as the time limit for posted drones? It seems like a random number. Why not 72 hours to reflect a three-day period?

    3. Maybe. Although I’m in your target age range, I’m a little beyond playing these kinds of games with people. I see it more as something for the 12-24 crowd. Perhaps if I wanted to play a little joke on a friend, I might use it then.

    4. I don’t know who you consider your competitors to be, but I did a quick search on “send anonymous tweet.” It turned up Twitzee and Shhtwitter as your probable competition. Twitzee seems to function very similarly to Droneme with a text box for anonymous tweets right on the home page, though it doesn’t look like it offers anonymous emails. Shhtwitter has a lot of online reviews that list it as a site for anonymous tweeting, but when I visited it, it only appeared to offer anonymous viewing. Compared to these two sites, I think Droneme has a more attractive home page and offers more functionality.

    5. This is the third time I’ve seen Droneme here, and it’s changed a lot since its debut. I like the new homepage. It’s simple, uncluttered, and effective at sparking interest. However, I suggest you add one or two lines of instructional text above the entry fields just so there’s no confusion over what the site is for. For instance, you could try, “Enter your anonymous message here.” Or, “Send an anonymous message to your friends!”

The previous incarnation of Droneme had a page full of ongoing anonymous tweets. Twitzee still does this on its home page. I think it was a good call on your part to make the anonymous tweets private, available only to recipients. This increases the “secrecy” aspect of Droneme, and, to be honest, most people aren’t going to be interested in reading through a page of anonymous tweets not directed at them, so the former page was a waste of space. However, as I said before, if you allowed recipients to respond to the tweets (again, in private), that could add a whole new dimension to the site.

In conclusion, Droneme looks like it will be fun for the high school and maybe college crowd. Your emails could stand some improvements (see above), but otherwise, it looks like your site is ready to go. Good luck!

  5. UPDATE: After going through my spam folder in my email, I did receive a Droneme message. The part of my review that says the user can be easily confused still stands, but I did receive a Droneme to my spam email.

  6. 1) Visit https://www.droneme.com/. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
As soon as I check out http://www.droneme.com I became interested. Curiosity totally struck a cord with me as soon as I saw the picture. Then I read the tag line “because we know sometimes you want to tell a secret.” I think the site is pretty self explanatory and you don’t really need to read any instructions. You can pretty much figure out what you’re supposed to do without having to click around. But I think maybe it would be a good idea to have a FAQ page for those who have questions. I think some people would have some concerns on whether the secret message really is a secret and won’t expose any sort of info (ex. ip address, location and such). Although the picture of the site gets an A in my book, I do think that the font of droneme and the tagline could be better. The font is plain and you see that font everywhere. I think you need a font that really captures the essence of the photo and the site. When I think of the whole purpose of the site I think of secretive, seductive, mysterious. And I think the font would make a huge difference. Since I was curious about droneme, I was immediately drawn to trying the thing out.
    2) Send a secret to a Twitter user? Was the process straightforward?
Yes the overall process was straight forward without any type of complications. It was very easy and direct. I like how you don’t need to register for anything, that way you know that your secret will remain anonymous. I think being able to choose different colors and even having the option to upload a photo is really cool. I sent the secret to my own twitter and received it right away. But if I had received that tweet from someone else and without knowing what droneme is, than I most likely wouldn’t have opened the link to the message. I’m really careful and particular with tweets, messages, emails and information that I receive. So if I saw that without knowing what droneme is, than I’d probably think it was spam. Especially since there have been spam that’s been going around twitter lately.
    3) Are you encouraged to use it? If not, why?
Yes I am. I think it’s fun and exciting. Plus you can play around with your friends with this! It can help make your day or someone else’s day a bit more interesting.
    4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors? do you know other competitors?
This is the first time I’ve encountered a site like this. I would imagine that droneme.com is probably easier to use compared to similar sites.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I really like how there’s so type of complications with this site. There’s no need for registration and it’s pretty straight to the point. It’s easy to use. I do think that there should be more info on the site, like FAQs, an About Us section and also a Privacy Policy page. I think there are people who’d be concerned and just want to be sure that the site is legit and safe to use. Like I said, spam could be an issue. Like I said earlier, the photo looks great for the purpose of the site, but I think the font needs to be different. I think a little improvement with the layout would be nice, but keep the photo. I think if more people knew what droneme was, than a lot of people would definitely use it. I think it’s a fun concept and it’ll be fun to use. Once droneme is totally out there, then people wouldn’t hesitate to open the tweet they receive or the email that they’d receive. There are skeptics out there who might brush it off and not even open it because they assume that it’s nothing or it’s spam. I do think that a negative point with this kind of site is that people can use it to send threats or mean things to others. If there’s anything you can come up with to prevent this sort of thing then that would be great. Other than that, I think this could be a fun tool to use. For me and my friends it’d be totally innocent and fun so we wouldn’t abuse the site. I think if more people knew about droneme it would be a success and it would make people’s day a little bit interesting. With little improvement and word of mouth I believe that droneme.com will spread like wildfire and become a highly used app/site.

    1) Visit https://www.droneme.com/. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?

    > I spent about 10-15 seconds on the site and I immediately read the text below the websites name. “because we know sometimes you want to tell a secret”. By reading that. and basing from the available boxes. It gave me the impression that it is a website that will allow you to send an email to someone and preserve anonimity of the writer. I was not drawn to click on any buttons since the page seems to be empty with only “Contact Us” as the noticeable button.
    2) Send a secret to a Twitter user? Was the process straightforward?

    > Yes the process is very straightforward. However I encountered a problem with the “Send Secret” Button it is not immediately sending the secret to the email I provided.

    3) Are you encouraged to use it? If not, why?

    > As a writer myself, this website will be useful if we want to relay a set of sensitive information to someone in a position to change something. So yes. I am encouraged to use it.

    4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors? do you know other competitors?

    > I can’t think of any as of now. But the twitzee site rings a bell. I checked the website and I guess the twitzee is brighter and can attract more people because of their friendly looking frontpage. I guess some tweaking to droneme’s webpage will do the trick.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

    > The webpage itself is cool, also the impression that it gives to me is awesome. It made me feel that I need to read first before doing something maybe because of the dark color and the image of a guy and girl on the frontpage. I also like the fact that the link that I’m looking for is available on the front page which is the “Contact Us” it’s just very important.
    > I think adding more stuff on the page will be ideal so that visitors will have something to read while thinking of something to write. Maybe samples of the service that you provide. Because lets say I want to share a secret but I still don’t know what are the words to use for me to be able to say it properly. Instead of me moving to another website. I might just stay in your website and get some ideas somewhere.
    > The idea of being straight forward is good but it has pros and cons which is already stated above.
    >Overall. I’d say that a we need to tweak the page a little more. Maybe add or remove something. I’m not sure. Aside from that. Everything seems to be working fine and this can be a good start for you folks since people doesn’t know a lot of websites like this. We just need to spread the word.

  8. 1)      Visit https://www.droneme.com/. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
The homepage of your site looks like you’re a party website where people talk about things that happened at the club the previous night. Sorry! If I landed on this page I would have no idea what this is about. As far as clicking on anything there is nothing to click on just simply typing a message or secret and sending it to people.
    2)      Send a secret to a Twitter user? Was the process straightforward?
Sending the message was quick and easy but I was unsure if the message reached its intended user. I sent to another page that had the message I sent in really bold letters leaving me unsure as to what to do from their or what that even meant. I also saw that I could save the text but I didn’t get to see how that works because when I hit the “X” on the screen it took me back to the homepage.  I sent another message and then I clicked on the send button not knowing if that meant it was officially sent but I see that it probably meant send that message again.
    3)      Are you encouraged to use it? If not, why?
I think if people are into sending message without being found out then sure but for me I would see no use for this site. I would be afraid that people would want to use this site as a way to harass and or scare people since there is no way to find out who send the message unless you told the person.
    4)      How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors? Do you know other competitors?
I don’t know of any competitors to your site. I did a google search and found a several sites that allow you to send messages to a phones number and one service that allowed you to send messages online by email and mail. I see why your site would have competitors because the premise behind is so simple but how do you set yourself apart from the other companies? Anonymousfeedback.net is the site that allows you to send messages b y mail but they charge 5 dollars, what a rip off. I can get a stamp and envelope for less than that.
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Visually your sites looks inviting with the two young ladies looking at the gentleman but I thinks it narrows the visual scope to something that happened at a party and not general secrets. I sent a message to my email address and I got nothing after 10 minutes and counting. Very disappointing being that your site allowed for email address.  I think that your site at least needs a description header to let users know what to do and some type of direction on what will happen once they are done because you put nothing on your site. I like the simplicity of your sight but I think that you need to do something to set yourself apart.

  9. 1) Visit https://www.droneme.com/. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?

The site reminds me of sites I occasionally come across for local night clubs — the kind of sites that try unsuccessfully to look really cool and trendy, but were poorly designed and haven’t been updated for years. The obvious stock photography that takes up the background looks grainy and tells me absolutely nothing about what the site offers.

The site name and tagline tell me very little about what the site is about, and there is no explanation on the site of what the site is about. Why is that? There is no copyright date on the page, no indication of who owns or operates the site, and the “Contact Us” link doesn’t even lead to a contact page but instead directs my email program to a personal email address. All those factors make this site seem poor quality and suspicious.

From what I can derive from the site’s few contextual clues, it appears that it allows me to send messages to people’s email or Twitter accounts anonymously. Is that correct? If that’s the case, I find it strange that the site is marketing itself as sort of fun and flirty service, when — let’s be honest — it’s main appeal will be that it allows people to send nasty anonymous messages to other people. Why not play up that aspect more?

On a related note, I see no privacy policy. Will anyone be reading the messages I send? Since this site involves communication, I think a privacy policy and/or legal page would probably be a necessary component.

    2) Send a secret to a Twitter user? Was the process straightforward?

The process is fairly easy, although I don’t understand the Font Colors option. When I select a color the text in the box remains white. This feature seems pointless to me.

When I press “Send Secret” I’m redirected to a page with my message displayed in giant letters. The page contains several confusing links: the “hide text” link in particular seems pointless. Why would I want to hide the text. The large “X” image in the top right corner is odd as well.

If I want to close the page, I’ll just close it in the browser. If this is an anonymous message, why would I want to share it via Facebook, Twitter, Digg or Google+? I find that odd. And is a QR code really warranted for this message? I find that strange.

Even more confusing is the “answer” link on this page, which redirects me to the home page of the site. So I’ve received an anonymous message, and by clicking “answer” I’m redirected to the home page, which prompts me to send a message to…who? I don’t know who sent the message to me, correct?

After I sent the message I received a copy of my message in my email. The email states: “remember that the message will be posted on Droneme.com just for 69 hours starting now, so go and see it”. Is this true? Besides being poorly written, this statement was never mentioned on the site? Are these “anonymous” messages being publicly posted on your site? If so, where? I see no pages beside the home page.
Something is very suspicious about this site.

    3) Are you encouraged to use it? If not, why?

For all the reasons listed above, I am hesitant to use this site. I find the Web site to be lacking essential information, and the process of sending a message is filled with inconsistent information and unclear forms and tools.

    4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors? do you know other competitors?

I’m not aware of any other sites that offer a similar service. The concept of this site has some potential, but the execution needs to be much better.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I have so many issues with this site. Who is the owner? Who will see my “anonymous” messages? The lack of information and conflicting content on the message page and the email I received after I submitted the message have me confused.

Also, the email message I received was written poorly and appears unprofessional. It says “Someone just Drone you on Droneme.com:”. Shouldn’t that be “Someone just Droned you”? There is missing capitalization elsewhere in the message, and the following text is awkwardly worded: “remember that the message will be posted on Droneme.com just for 69 hours starting now, so go and see it”.

    1) Visit https://www.droneme.com/. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?

Having tested this site before, I have to say that it is much better looking. It is much less cluttered and confused than it previously was when it had the ‘message’ boxes all over.

First impressions of the new site is that there it little there to tell me this is an anonymous Twitter posting site. In fact, seeing two girls with a drink and a guy glancing back would make me think I landed on more of an anonymous ‘dating’ site. I feel that if I had randomly come across the site, without having heard of it before, I would have zero idea what it was about or what it was for, and would leave right away.

    2) Send a secret to a Twitter user? Was the process straightforward?
Sending a Tweet was easy. Type the message in the message box you want to tweet, type in a few contacts you want to Tweet to. Hit send.

    3) Are you encouraged to use it? If not, why?
I am not a Twitter person, and never will be. While I can certainly say I like how the site has evolved, I do not plan on using the program… or twitter.

    4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors? do you know other competitors?
I can’t say I know of any competitors, but again, I don’t use Twitter, so why would I be looking for them?

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
While I can appreciate the idea behind the site, I find myself wondering how easy it will be to abuse– sending hate messages or abusive language, cyber-bullying, using it to ‘hot topic’ something by repeatedly posting about it. I am also curious what security you have in place to prevent Bots / automatic posting programs– most sites that involve messaging or information input into an online environment have anti-bot measures.

As noted, there is nothing on the landing page to let me know what the site is about. There is nothing to say that I am posting on Twitter or any social media, if what I am posting is going to be ‘public’ (everyone can see it) or ‘private’ (for the person I am sending it to only). There needs to be more information on the landing page.

  11. 1) Visit https://www.droneme.com/. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?  The graphics are cool, simple, and pleasingly understated. The models are good looking and seductive. There are no buttons to click except send secret, so no I wasn’t drawn to do any immediate clicking. The absence of ads and other such clutter was positive, but I would be interested to know how you intend to generate revenue in the future and would like to see how you integrate that into your current set up. The dark colors add to the clandestine goals suggested by your tagline which was also good about being simple and to the point.

     2) Send a secret to a Twitter user? Was the process straightforward?
I was intrigued by the concept and typed up a hot PG text to my lady. The process seemed to be straight forward and simple enough, but I’m not sure if my message was sent. I went to the recipients tw… page and did not see the message displayed. I went back to the tab where the large version was displayed and was slightly confused.  I thought that the message was to be sent with a click of “send secret”, but was met wit another send button as well as a slew of social “like” buttons. Because I did not see the message on twitter, I assumed that the “send” on the “big” screen was the way to go. The only problem was that I received at least a half dozen invalid address responses while inputting different variations of her twitter address ( @ only, with & without https://,with www, address without the #! in it,etc.) No dice with any of them.

     3) Are you encouraged to use it? If not, why?
I actually would have fun with this service if I could actually get it to work as advertised. I’d start with sending messages to my lady to see if she informed me that she was getting them, I could let my bosses know how I feel about their polices, actions, and work conditions without fear of retaliation, I could let people know whats really on my mind concerning them, & let crushes know that there is someone in the world that cares for them even tho I wouldn’t want to take it any further(my old lady would kill me.lol). The fact that I could not get it to work is not encouraging tho. If I just happened to stumble upon your site somehow and had the same experience, I honestly would not be coming back. As it is now I hope you fix the bugs cause I would like to give it another try one day.

     4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors? do you know other competitors?
The only other site I know about is “Tweets from above/below”, but they are no longer in service for some reason. If you fix the bugs or give instructions on how to make sure that messages go through, you could easily control this niche’.
A FAQ or help page would be great. some would be:

1.How do you format address to make sure it goes through?
2.What is displayed on FB,G+,digg when you hit the “like” buttons?
3.Why is there a 2nd “send” button on the “big” page after you hit “send secret” on the home page?
4.Is there a android app for this?

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Overall, like I said above I like the concept, but was very frustrated with the “invalid address” messages and needed instructions on how to enter a valid one. You have a possible winner here if you can clear things up a little, give a little help for eTards like me, and finds ways to monetize your site without cluttering up the simple beauty of your homepage. Good luck!
