What do you think the site is about?
social media and sharing information, twitter/facebook esque type.
Â
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
The background seems a little dull on the eyes the black text and the white writing, needs more jazzing up. Possibly breaking up more into different areas so it seems more seperated.
Â
What do you think of the posting process?
Seems more staright forward and easier to post that competitors
Â
Would you use it to send messages or monitor messages? If not, why?
yes as it is fast and anonymous
Â
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like 4chan.com and secrettalk.com

Visit https://droneme.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

I think Drone Me is about publishing things anonymously on Twitter for 69 hours.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
The site has a black background, with white text, which I personally like because it is easy on the eyes to read.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

Bothersome: 1) I don’t like the varying text sizes of posts on your homepage. It confuses the eyes and there is no controlled or strategic plan of what you want people to view. I actually think you should put a “sample tweet” on your homepage, but not put the actual tweets on the very first page. Honestly, most people do not care what other people are anonymously tweeting.
2) The foul language (use of “f” word) is extremely offensive and would turn me away from using your service. Having this on your homepage shows an obvious lack of administrative oversight. You should moderate your site as if all ages were using it and it were family friendly. Lack of control gives the impression that it is being run by teenagers or staff that doesn’t care.
What do you think of the posting process?

Simple.
Would you use it to send messages or monitor messages? If not, why?

No. I explained in the bothersome section why I would not use your service. I want to use a premium product, where the administrator cares. I think the anonymous posts should not be read by the public on your homepage. They should be kept confidential. After all, if you are trying to empower people with anonymous abilities, you shouldn’t be re-posting this on your site. A service like this should not endorse the messages, and by posting on your website, you are not remaining unbiased.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like 4chan.com and secrettalk.com?

Secrettalk.com uses white and blue and the colors look more pure and organized. You use black and have foul language on your site, which gives the impression of anarchy, and lack of control.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

My first question is: Why can’t a person create an anonymous Twitter account in the first place and completely forego your service. I would think most people are doing this first without knowing about your service.
I think you should make a homepage that is more of a true homepage that gives selling points of why people should use your service, and if you must post tweets, have a dedicated page. Not appropriate for homepage. And if you do have a dedicated tweet page, have a disclaimer before entering that your site contains inappropriate language for children over 13.
Visit https://droneme.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
My initial impression from visiting the homepage is that the site is about creating anonymous messages, that your site posts on Twitter for the duration of 69 hours. It also appears that site the site picks some choice messages and posts them to the website itself, in order to promote the service.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
The colors on the site really stand out against the black background; I do like how easy it is to read, and understand what the site is for simply by reading the tagline. It might be a good idea however to explain a little bit more about what the site does, how it will benefit users and maybe place an FAQ so those who come to the site and are new to sending anonymous messages have a better idea of how it works. Clicking on the About, Contact Us and Privacy and Legal links takes the user to a more or less empty page, so it would be a good idea to either put information here, or take it out completely. All in all, the site has a simple look, and appears easy to use.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I do like that the site is simple and easy to navigate. It’s not hard to figure out what the site is for, although there should be more information for new users on how it could benefit them instead of them creating their own anonymous accounts and posting. I find bothersome that there isn’t any real information under the links and perhaps the design is too simple.
What do you think of the posting process?
The posting process is quick and easy, even with changing the font color and deciding what email addresses you wish the post to go to. I like that you can decide whether or not to post the message on the homepage or not and how long you want the message to be posted for.
Would you use it to send messages or monitor messages? If not, why?
I might use this service if I had something to say that I didn’t want anyone to know it came from me. It could be a good idea and allows people to speak freely in their opinions without the fear of people not liking that it came from the user.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like 4chan.com and secrettalk.com?
This site has a similar idea to 4chan.com and secrettalk.com, however 4chan also has message boards and enables users to to speak to each other, even if its anonymous. Secrettalk compares to this site that its short messages posted it appears to the website. The site has a lighter look though, and gives a bit more information on what the site is for.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I think the site could be a good idea and could compete with others of its kind, it just needs a bit more work and added information to the homepage. The links should lead to whatever information they are supposed to, and it should show how the site will benefit the user and is better than 4chan or secrettalk.
Visit https://droneme.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
Social networking/information sharing

Busy, there seems to be a lot happening on the site.
Top banner neat, clean, easy to view (though banner text is smallish, but that should not be a problem for the target audience of 20 to 40 somethings with too much time).
The options of viewing things by time, location, tags and you likes (which I think would either be what you select as your likes or traces your habits and suggests you like those tags based on what you view) is good. It is simple but very functional lay-out easy to navigate and highly visible but not hard to look at.
Being able to sort by how recent, how popular, ratings and comment factor makes it easy to sort postings. Again, easy to use, neat and visible.
The posting section is the busy part. With the different font sizes it is at first distracting. However, realizing that the text box size is based upon either how recent, how popular or how often comment on it is, it makes sense and allows you to easily see what’s currently ‘hot’. Scrolling over postings lets you see if they are liked or not, have been commented on, etc.
Clicking on them brings the message forward, letting you decide if you want to save (save where?) send (I emailed it to myself, received the email right away with a link to the posting), give it thumbs up or thumbs down (you can only do it once… so no booing someone to death) like on facebook, tweet or digg or print QR code (which I didn’t try, because my printer sucks… anyone know a good printer for a casual user?)
Posts with images pop up with their image.
Posted something. Took forever to load up a posting window. Simple to use post-it window with location and tag options. Posted, but ended up with
“You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘div id=\”myEventWatcherDiv\” style=\”display:none;\”>’ at line 4 – probably in:” Â with six more lines of similar stuff.
My post, however, did appear on the main page under most recent.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
Uppers: If you are into seeing what other people you don’t know are up to, this is the place. It is nice, clean, easy to use.Â
Downers: Profanity. Most people don’t like f$%^#^g profanity. Would need monitoring (key word blocking or key word post prevention–if a certain word is in the post the post would not go on).
Also, hard to see who would be interested in this unless there is a way to streamline and personalize it to an individual’s tastes/purposes (ie: if a corperation could use it to monitor tweets on a specifically defined topic for marketing research.. though this easily doable on twitter’s on simple search engine).
Lots of room for abuse of program because of the anonymity factor. But then again, who who will be ‘listening’?
What do you think of the posting process?
Easy, straight forward. Linked the posting window and the options. However, the error page threw me off.
Would you use it to send messages or monitor messages? If not, why?
Nope. I’m not really into Twitter, nor am I really all that interested in reading what other people with too much time and too little do have to say about mostly mundane and inconsequential things. That, and the profanity factor.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like 4chan.com and secrettalk.com?
4chan seems to be for immature people (because of ‘pornographic’ content and mature subject materials it was blocked by my filter). The main page suggests that it is a cluttered site with too much content and zero substance. Droneme is cleaner and neater. Secrettalk is a bit more innocent looking (despite being a gossip site) then your site.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
If I ran a corporation and wanted an internal messaging network where my employees can spend a few minutes shooting the breeze, I would be interested in a program like Droneme. However, as a ‘twitter’ feed site opened to the world, I don’t see where it can go development wise. It does not seem to offer much that Twitter doesn’t save for being a random collection point.
If I were you, enclose it (for internal network use), make it customizable, package it, and sell it to companies that are interested in an internal chat/messaging system. (or don’t, so I can do it 🙂
Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
An anonymous posting social site.
What do you think the site is about?
Site has a very simply clean layout. Seems simple to navigate.
Â
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
Utilizes tagging which can help organize items to be easy to find.
Â
Â
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
Could be more colorful, however I do like the clean look of the interface.
Â
What do you think of the posting process?
Not difficult at all. Makes it simple to use and simple to find topics via tags.
Â
Would you use it to send messages or monitor messages? If not, why?
No, as I am not a big user of Twitter or sites like that.
Â
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like 4chan.com and secrettalk.com?
It is anonymous and doesn’t seem as bizarre.
Â
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
It could use more work, add more elements to make the idea more interesting.
What do you think the site is about?
Not totally sure. Is it a way to post tweets anonymously on Twitter?
Â
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
Well, I’m having trouble understanding what the site is about from the home page. As soon as I land on the page, I see what looks like a feed of tweets, but the only explanation for your site seems to be your tagline: “Publish Anonymously, Distributed on Twitter and Just for 69 Hours.” I scrolled down to the About page so I could hopefully get a better understanding of what your site is for, but the About page was blank. Finally, I came back here and looked at your summary for StartUpLift, and now I understand what Droneme does, but I truly wouldn’t have known just by looking at your site.
Â
I tried sorting the comments and searching for keywords and was able to do that without any problems. Didn’t see much else to do on the site at this time.
Â
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
What I find bothersome is that I can’t figure out the purpose of Droneme and why I should use it after a short time on the home page. I think you need some introductory copy that explains what Droneme is for and how users can benefit from it. You might use your StartUpLift summary as a model for that.
Â
I don’t like that I’m not sure how to register for an account or sign in to an existing one. You should really have sign-in and log-in boxes, preferably in the upper right corner. (Note: After posting a comment, I now see that I don’t have to register to use your service. I like that. It’s so refreshing not to have to go through a sign-up process to take advantage of what a site offers.)
Â
I thought the name Droneme was cute once I figured out that it was “drone me,” but you should be aware that at first glance I thought it was one word, “droneme,” and I wondered, “What’s a droneme?” I think it would be clearer if you separated the “drone” and the “me” with a larger space between the two words on your home page.
Â
I’m puzzled by your 69-hour limit. Are you saying that after 69 hours, the published comments will vanish or something? What would be the point of that? Also, why 69 hours? That seems arbitrary, and, not to be crass here, but in the English-speaking world, the number 69 has sexual connotations, so you might want to rethink that one.
Â
What I like so far is the black and yellow color scheme if it’s intended to suggest a drone bee, as I think it probably is. It would be great if you could come up with a bee-themed logo as well.
Â
I’m not sure if I like the idea of Droneme yet because I don’t really get the advantages to using it. Why would I want to tweet anonymously? Is the idea supposed to be that I could harass someone that way or post spam or publish an unpopular opinion? I don’t know. I don’t get the mentality of people who use the Internet that way or who can’t stand behind what they say.
Â
What do you think of the posting process?
I easily found the “post something” bubble in the upper left corner of the home page. It wasn’t hard to figure out how to compose a tweet or select keywords, but my attempts to select a font color failed; the text remained white. Also, I was a little confused by the option to “publish at home page.” Are you referring to the Droneme home page, or are you offering me an option to publish my comment on my own home page? I’m going to assume you mean the Droneme home page…Ok, now that I’m previewing my comment, I can see that the text is indeed the color I selected. But the comment itself doesn’t fit in the text box even though I made sure it was under the maximum character limit. And the edit button is partially hidden. Oh, well. I don’t know what to do about this, so I’m going to publish it as it is. I hit “post anonymously,” and after a few seconds, my comment appeared on the site. Looks good, but once again, the text is not in the color I selected.
Would you use it to send messages or monitor messages? If not, why?
I’m not a big Twitter-er, so probably not.
Â
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like 4chan.com and secrettalk.com?
Never tried them. I started to check out 4chan but left it immediately because my antivirus program informed me that the site had a “poor reputation.” Then I looked at secrettalk, which reminds me of an Internet-only, less artistic version of PostSecret. Users at secrettalk seem to be confined to the secrettalk site in contrast to users at Droneme, who can post their comments to Twitter as well as just the Droneme site. I think you have a real advantage over secrettalk there.
Â
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I still don’t totally get why I’d want to use Droneme. I’d love to see you really sell me on your site with some introductory copy on the home page and/or a separate page called something like “Why Droneme?” that would explain what’s so cool about posting anonymously and using your site to do it.
Â
I can see you possibly redesigning the whole home page, maybe starting off with a cute bee-related logo and some intro copy and then moving on to a short, even humorous video or maybe even a little animated sequence with two bees, each “buzzing” a comment bubble. This is a fun site, so it should look fun. Right now there are a ton of comments on the home page, and that’s great that we can see them immediately, but there don’t have to be quite so many of them. You can make space for other things.
Â
I can also see a lot of potential for you to get people more involved with the site by more openly inviting them to rate comments and maybe offering awards or other incentives for people who take the time to do so.
Â
Visit https://droneme.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
This is a social media site where you can post anonymously.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site
I notice that this site is unique in that it has a black background with white text instead of the other way around. The site is easy to navigate. Some of the messages posted have images attached to them.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I like the black background in on the site and I also like that some of the messages have images attached. I also like that you can just post something. You do not have to sign up for anything. This makes it a little easier. One thing that I even like the yellow color scheme a little bit. There is nothing that I can think of which bothers me about this site.
Â
What do you think of the posting process?
The posting process is very simple. You just have to type the message and press the post button. You have a choice of attaching something like images and you can also influence the color of your text.
Â
Would you use it to send messages or monitor messages? If not, why?
Yes, I would use this site to send messages.
Â
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like 4chan.com and secrettalk.com?
I find this site to be a little simpler than secrettalk due to the fact that you do not have to sign up in order to post. 4chan has pretty much shut down.
Visit https://droneme.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
Site is an anonymous posting site that will display your post for 69 hours on twitter.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site. What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I have never been a fan of black backgrounds, but this time it works. The text is prominent and your eyes are immediately drawn to the important parts of the page.
After noticing the background, the second thing that jumped out was the offensive nature of most of the posts. I would most likely leave the site after reading them. But with this type of site, your audience will most likely be teenagers so that might not be a relevant point for you.
The About, Contact and Privacy & Legal links need actual content instead of treating the words like they were queries.
The toolbar that appears when you hover over the info at the bottom of the post is a nice touch.
It took me a second to figure out the largest font posts are the latest ones. At first I thought the posts were mimicking a tag cloud (which I find to be highly annoying). Once I figured it out it made sense.  But if you matched the size of the fonts, you would eliminate the large blank gap on the lower right hand side of the page.
The optional image disrupts the flow of the posts since most do not have one.Â
What do you think of the posting process?
The posting process is very simple and user friendly. Only drawback is that for a compulsive right-click-open-in-a-new-tab person, it is not obvious that you have to left click the balloon to actually post.
Would you use it to send messages or monitor messages? If not, why?
No. I prefer to have a name to anything I post and don’t really care much about what people that I don’t know and have no connection to are posting.Â
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like 4chan.com and secrettalk.com?
As soon as I went to 4chan.com I exited out immediately due to what I saw, so your site has more ‘staying power’ for most users I would think.
Secrettalk.com struck me as being less bleak feeling than your site. The white background had a lot to do with that, but also the nature of the posts were less offensive. If you are going for an edgier site, than you have accomplished it.Â
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
The first thing I thought when I saw this site was, “Wow, this could be trouble.” Will you be monitoring the posts or does anything go? Because of the appearance, I envision your audience being largely comprised of Emo teens (which could be exactly what you are going for). For a different perspective, check out the site postsecret.com. It is a similar concept but with a 180 degree different feel. Again, it all depends on who you are wanting to comprise your user base with.Â
Visit https://droneme.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
A service to post messages anonymously which you will then publish through your own twitter network. That’s what I think the site is about. This message will live for 69 hours but, if your service is successful (and it may very well be, it looks fun) I would say that it will go noticed for 5 secs, and then lost in the middle of other thousands of messges.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
Clean dark style, simple. It is pretty straight forward. I do wonder how texts are rated… I haven’t been able to see any rating system so I guess it is using something related to twitter.
In general, it fits the site and it is easy to use and navigate, so thumbs up for that.
The about, contact and legal links are not obvious enough and anyway, why do I get a search result page when I click on the link? I would have expected a proper about (or contact or whatever) page, with the information I’m looking for.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
Posting is easy but I would like to be able the effect of the options I chose immediately, without having to click on preview and going back to the design again. The options are a bit limited too, I can only change the font color, not the background, or the font…
I like that the site is so simple that I don’t need to figure out how it works. It would be nice to give a bit more detail on the tag line so it is a bit more precise. Something like “use our twitter account to say what you have to say without nobody knowing”
I found extremetly annoying not being able to see proper and clear information on the contact, about and legal sections. I don’t like that.
What do you think of the posting process?
Very easy but I wonder if it makes sense sending the message to 5 people. The thing is that the site is only good to express frustration and getting out off your chest without anyone knowing. That has its benefits and dangers… but if I send it to my frineds it may not be that anonymous and, on the other hand, maybe they would not understand what’s going on because they don’t know who’s posting.
Still, I think it is good to have the option just in case.
Would you use it to send messages or monitor messages? If not, why?
Myabe to send but to monitor? I don’t see why I should need to monitor any messages and that this could be done for this particular purpose. I guess my name could be on the posts if I was really famous but does it make sense when you can’t really know who talked about you, for better or worse? Not sure that it is worth the effort. I can’t even get statistics of who’s talking well or bad about me 😀
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like 4chan.com and secrettalk.com?
In the case of 4chan.com, I just saw pornographic contnet so I left the site. I guess it was down or something.
I don’t see much difference except that you’re using twitter too.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I think, more or less, I said everything I had to say. I can’t think of anything else to add at the moment.
Visit https://droneme.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
Your site allow people to anonymously post message that are add to twitter that last for 69 hours.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
Intersting background choice which is not so commonly used on social networking style sites. Its easy to see post comments and the search button allow for quick searching. Its easy to navigate with the sort tabs being right at the top of the page in easy view.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I’m not really a fan of the black backround being used for the whole of the site. I would like to have seen some shade variations using grays to lighten up the site a little. Even though I understand what your site is about the language use might confuse some and it might be as clear to understand the purpose of your site. At first glance I found the layout to be all over random but I can see that you have a 3 column system of the latest, 24hr and 69 hr. I would have like to see more clear boundaries between column besides spacing. I like I could hit the X button on a user comments and be taken right back to the homepage. What is the purpose of the number next to the 69hr column other than it being the number of post itself? Obvisouly from looking at your sort bar that you can rate the messages but from just looking the site you can’t tell until you move your mouse over it. I would either change that or just post that info on you site. What is the purpose of the hide the text button at the top of the view message page. I like that I could see what other people were posting in my area.
What do you think of the posting process?
The process seemed simple enough. Again I not a fan of the black boxes but I like that I could change the font and add a picture. I like that I could limit the hours in which my post was listed. I also like that it wasn’t necassary to post my location and keywords. I was little confused as to when I was typing in both the keyword and location when it kept saying not listed. It would seem more simple to just allow users to type what they wanted in each catergory. When I click the preview button the text was extremely large and was not visually pleasing to look at. I could only imagine what it would look like if my post used all of the characters. That definitly needs to be smaller.
Would you use it to send messages or monitor messages? If not, why?
No. It would defeat the purpose of sending message and it seems your site might go to the way of most other message sites. Sending messages would only work in your current format if two people already know they are posting to each other. I like the “randomness” of your site. I don’t understand the monitoring that seems unlikely.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like 4chan.com and secrettalk.com?
I like their site isn’t dark but their site contridicts itself when it allow users to post their names. If your going to post anonymously then it should stay that way as your site does. I like your sorting system and I like your site doesn’t seem to just run altogether. Visually I like that if you don’t add a picture then the post still looks complete. 4chan seemed to have nothing but pornographic content.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Does your site monitor the content? Do you have the ability to delete ones post based on language or picture used? If so that should be listed on your site. It would be nice to post by area or by tagline. That start an interpersonal chatting but it could still be anonoymous.
Visit https://droneme.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
A site that will post your messages anonymously on it’s twitter page for 69 hours.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
The site has a clear and simple look. The black-yellow-white combination with minimal looks is a good choice IMO. The site seem to has only two functions: posting and viewing messages. Both can be easily done from the same page.
What do you find bothersome?
There’s no way to reverse or reset the sorting other than clicking the site logo to go back to the main page.
You seriously need to work on the filtering as it’s nearing unusable. Clicking any filter seems to make you be stuck with it forever (without clicking main page). Choosing another filter will add it too, which leads to nothing being shown very fast. Also it’s not indicated anywhere which are the current filters, that only makes it even more confusing.
Maybe it’s my fault, but despite the site clearly stating that messages will be distributed on Twitter, I can not find any link anywhere leading to said twitter pages, even the “Published on Twitter @…” links under posts are just leading to the post you are already viewing on your site. (I had to manually search on Twitter to see that the site really does post there).
You get absolutely zero help on certain features, like what does the sharing with email/twitter accounts – exactly – do, or what happens if you add a new location instead of choosing from the list?
What do you like?
You can easily customize messages and add a picture to them too, which saves a lot of time for those who like to pair up messages with pictures.
What do you think of the posting process?
Creating new messages is very easy. Even adding pictures and cropping them is very simple. However, the button to reply to an existing message is very well hidden, in fact even the possibility to reply seems to be a small secret. It took me quite some time to find the button, and I only started to look for it after I saw a reply to an existing post.
Would you use it to send messages or monitor messages? If not, why?
I usually don’t feel the need to share my thoughts with “the Internet”, and therefore I don’t think I’d post frequently. However reading posts can be interesting depending on which type of people will use it.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like 4chan.com and secrettalk.com?
Your site is a lot less chaotic. Although I wouldn’t call them competitors, they are much more an anonymous forum, while this site is more an anon shoutbox, with a limited ability to react to posts. Or with other words, while those sites are places for anon conversations, this one is a place where thoughts can be shared then commented on.

I’ve found that very strange that the main page (which is pretty much the only page here) has absolutely no links to the droneme twitter pages.
You should also create a small help page explaining what the site does and what are it’s features.
The time filter works with an interesting logic. Filtering with it removes the other columns that are otherwise shown, but puts nothing in their place. Then why bother? It won’t show me more of the selected posts, only blank out a large portion of the screen.
You also don’t tell it anywhere just how anonymous the site is (do you store IPs for example?) and whether there are any rules of posting, or if there is any type of moderation, which are quite important on a site that offers the ability to post anonymously.
Visit https://droneme.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
The site seems to be a place where users can make anonymous statements for others to read — like a Facebook or Twitter update, without knowing the person behind it.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
Well, the site has a young, edgy feel. The black and yellow color scheme is good at suggesting the site is targeted to younger users.
I also like the basic, straightforward use of Arial text throughout the site. It feels very fresh.
I don’t understand why the logo on the home page is clickable, as it simply redirects me to the home page. I know that’s nitpicky, but it seems a little sloppy.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
Much of the content on the home page is confusing to me. I don’t quite understand the “time”, “location”, “popular tags” and “you may like” content on the top of the page. I think it would be better to just place the comments at the top of the page, with the other content beneath.
I don’t understand what the deal is on the home page with the background images behind certain comments. It’s hard to read those comments because of the images, and I don’t understand why only certain comments have the background image, with the comments in the left column having the largest text and background images.
The feature that makes the “View”, comment and like buttons appear while hovering over a statement is clever, but maybe too clever. It took me a while to realize what was happening. It might be easier if the “View”, comment and like buttons were permanently visible beneath the statements. I know that would clutter up the page more, but honestly, it’s somewhat confusing as it is right now.
The placement of the “About”, “Contact” and “Privacy & Legal” links at the bottom right of the home page is logical, and I like that the links are easily found and readable. However, clicking on those links directs me to an unrelated search results page. That’s not what I was expecting, and makes the site seem suspicious. I assume “About”, “Contact” and “Privacy & Legal” pages will be coming soon? Not having any contact or privacy information available is a major red flag on a site that allows me to post something “anonymously”. I want to know this site is legit.
The yellow search box on the top right of the page is clever, but it looks like a link to another page instead of a search box.
What do you think of the posting process?
First, the “post something button” on the home page is easy to overlook. I think because of the yellow color it’s easy to glaze over, and I also think it would be better placed on the right side of the page, where it would be more visible, and that it would show up better if it was white, because of the stark contrast with the black background.
When I hit “post something” I find a large pop-up window. I like the comment box, although the “144” title above it isn’t very helpful. Instead of including “Write here” in the comment box, wouldn’t it make more sense to say something like “Write up to 144 characters here”, or something similar?
The keywords option seems like a bit of a disaster. Anyone can just make up their own keywords, correct? That means most keywords will be used once, maybe twice, at most, which would make searching for comments by keyword a chore. The location field seems unnecessary as well…do we really care where a person is from?
The “Publish at home” and “Publish at home page” options seems strange…why would I want to post something at one and not the other? Or, why would I want to post this on Twitter, period? It’s a strange concept.
Stranger still is the option for removing the comment after 12 hours, 24 hours or 69 hours. Where exactly does the 69 hours figure come from? These would be good things to explain in the “About” page, if there actually was one.
The font color choice is good for self expression, I suppose, although again, it seems like overkill. I’m guessing most users will just stick with the basic white text anyway. After I click the “preview” button, the screen that pops up is so large that it obscures the “cancel” and “post anonymous” buttons below it, and clicking on the large “X” button above this window exits me from the entire posting window. Not fun.
After reloading the “post something” window, I attempt to post something and receive a “tags empty…” message, and my post won’t publish. I’m actually required to tag this? What is a good tag to use? Is there any way I could see suggested tags? I think this is a major stumbling block in the posting process.
Would you use it to send messages or monitor messages? If not, why?
I’m not clear on what this means. Would I use the posting process on this site to send messages to…friends? Twitter? Probably not. It just seems like an unnecessary added step.
And speaking of monitoring, how do I see what other users think of my messages? Is there an option to receive email notification about likes, dislikes or comments? That would be helpful.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like 4chan.com and secrettalk.com?
I assume you mean 4chan.org, as 4chan.com directs me to a parked domain page. After looking over 4chan.org, I don’t even understand what it’s about, so you’ve already got an advantage there.
Secrettalk.com seems a lot easier to use and more straightforward, and I notice that tags are not required for posting there. That’s definitely helpful.

It would be very helpful if some basic things about this site were explained: what the 69 hours thing is about, for instance. Also, the home page and other pages with multiple comments seem far too cluttered with 3 columns. Reducing the amount of content on these pages would make it much easier to navigate.
And again, any contact information would be greatly appreciated. Also, the search results pages are odd to me. After trying a few common words in the search box, several of the search result pages only included comments in one or two columns, which means a good portion of the page is oddly blank. That’s confusing.
I guess it also goes without saying that some amount of quality control on the home might be helpful. After scanning the site for several minutes, it’s clear that a great amount of the comments are completely banal.
Overall, this site could be quite interesting to read and use, but it needs more attention to explaining its purpose, and the posting process needs to be simplified.
Visit https://droneme.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
I immediately assumed that the site was about putting comments on Twitter anonymously. It left me with a lot of questions as to how this would be possible
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
The home page was setup like a blog. It was interesting and made me curious about what was in the other parts of the site. I liked how I could sort through the comments, times and the locations.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I found it bothersome that I could not click on more links on the site and open various pages. I would have liked to see a big link to twitter somewhere on the homepage. I was not sure how to post onto the page. I did like the cool, social and hip look of the site where I could see that people posted their random thoughts and feelings.
What do you think of the posting process?
I thought that the posting process was complex and difficult to understand. I did not know why there was not a big post button where I could easily click to make comments.
Would you use it to send messages or monitor messages? If not, why?
I would use the site to send or monitor messages. It looked like a very fun site to use in order to send and monitor messages. It looked almost like a fun toy.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like 4chan.com and 4chan.com?
The other two sites did not open sites in my browser that were similar to this site. This site was completely different and was in no way similar to the other two. I would not be able to accurately compare it to the other two. That would be like comparing apples to oranges.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I liked the site but I feel that it could have more features on it. More pages and links could be added along with post now buttons. It has great potential that can be found with added features.
