  1. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?

My first impression was what is this site? What is it about? What is it’s purpose. The first picture I saw was the yoga person on the cliff, and I thought of insight and wide open spaces. No limitation. As I scrolled down, I saw different ideas for solutions to problems and just really cool “wouldn’t it be nice if’s” It really intrigued me. The more I looked around the more fascinated I became. Then I watched the about video with your concept, and this is AWESOME!!! I really think this could help the world.

I really like the pictures that are scrolling and the colors on the first page. I have the feeling I’m floating on a cloud.  I also like that the first page is engaging and intriguing, but encourages you to look deeper into the site by not giving to much information away. Overall it looks fun and engaging.

Overall I feel like the site is easy to navigate and understand. Once you get off the home page the taps up top and on the side make it easy to find what you need. If someone wants to get started immediately or search for more information, it’s very clear.

It’s easy to sort by topics, or popularity and see the statuses of the questions and ideas. The site is very professional and well done.

Yes definitely!! I’m a big fan of your idea for the website and how it can create a better world. I’m very excited and will be creating an account as well as telling my friends. I’m an actor, and have lots of creative friends 😉 I like that ideas will be awarded and evaluated in real time. I also like the idea of being rewarded with cash prizes. It’s very encouraging to participate and how cool would it be to be responsible for an idea that changes the world?!

I signed up for an account. I didn’t create an idea yet, but went through the process. It seems very easy and straight forward. I like the classifications and tags to help organize the ideas into categories. A slight suggestion for the topic drop down box is to have “other” as a choice. I noticed you have “any topic/ misc topic”, I just wonder if people are more used to “other” as a choice. I don’t think it’s 100% necessary, I caught it right away, but it took me a moment because I looked for other.

Overall, I like your site and love your idea for it. I think it has a lot of potential and I love that it encourages creative thinking!!! I feel logical thinking is more widely accepted and acknowledged in our society, but it’s creative thinking that pushes our boundaries and makes us better.

    I hope this helps :)

  2. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?

Upon opening the desired site,  observed a clean site with three scrolling attention gainers.  The homepage flows smoothly and offers clear tabs to those wishing to pursue further information.  The site acts as a medium for those with “Crazy Ideas” that could potentially, hopefully, change the world for the better.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
I really wanted to understand what powered this site. More importantly the process from submission of an idea to fulfillment. Something that defined the 5 W’s, to help me develop a plan of action according to the steps involved in the submission.
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account and submit Crazy Ideas)? Can you tell us why (or why not)? Note that when you submit crazy ideas, it will be reviewed and you will get awarded in real time.

I am intrigued by this site and certainly would create an account, once I was able to completely wrap my head around the process.   I am consistently developing new ideas, but the never come to fruition, because i don’t either have the resources to start, or the contacts in the targeted industry.
    4) Did you find the process of submitting ideas simple? Do you think additional information will help simulate your imagination? If so, provide details.

I felt this process was clearly understood and basic, which provides for ease of use.
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

As previously mention, one would opine that the site could use to spend some energy on developing a way to specifically outline the process from submission, to payment and beyond.  Again, this is a site that fulfills a need for those like me who consistently wake up in the middle of the night with a “Crazy Idea” .

  3. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?

Nice minimalistic design–I don’t have to sort through too many things to figure out what the website is about. It’s seems like a pretty straightforward forum site. Having the tags at the bottom of the page is nice for a quick go-to. I like that it’s easy to see that the website is not just about promoting ideas, but the qualifier, “crazy ideas.” I think that helps people not be afraid of submitting something they think is stupid. Also, the $3 publishing award is a good incentive to at least try.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?

I’m not sure what I want to look for. Thankfully, the tags at the bottom help. I think I’ll click on dating. It only comes up with one option: “Restaurant for singles.” It’s an interesting idea and it might spark some creativity for me to go further with a similar idea. I wasn’t confused by anything–the site is very straightforward.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account and submit Crazy Ideas)? Can you tell us why (or why not)? Note that when you submit crazy ideas, it will be reviewed and you will get awarded in real time.

Yes. I think having a site where ideas are reviewed and interacted with is essential for creativity. You can’t progress with an idea unless you’re receiving feedback. I don’t have any crazy ideas at the moment, but I will create an account because I know I will sometime in the future. The sign-up process was also very easy to do. It took me about 5 minutes max. I also like that you can connect with social media (i.e., Facebook).

    4) Did you find the process of submitting ideas simple? Do you think additional information will help simulate your imagination? If so, provide details.

Submitting ideas are incredibly simple. You just find a title from the drop box, come up with a title, add your description (which doesn’t have to be very long), classify it, add some tags fr quick reference, and click submit. Very simple, no hassle idea submissions.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

Only one grammar continuity instance in the “About” section: “aircrafts; where” and “mantras, and” separating idea clauses by semi-colon.

  4. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
     – The site is is clear and its very refreshing to the eyes. I was amazed with landing page slider. Its look great.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
    – At first I was curious what it is all about and the “ABOUT” in navigation answers my question come up to my mind. I confused with the sliders. I was destructed with the slider below the landing page.
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account and submit Crazy Ideas)? Can you tell us why (or why not)? Note that when you submit crazy ideas, it will be reviewed and you will get awarded in real time.
    – Yes I was encourage because I have a bunch of ideas that ends up nothing and I want to share it to everyone so that they can benefits. I even created an account maybe I got lucky.
    4) Did you find the process of submitting ideas simple? Do you think additional information will help simulate your imagination? If so, provide details.
    – Yes. I tried to submit and in less than 2 minutes I completely submitted my crazy idea.
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
    – I think you need to put in the home page the top 10 crazy ideas and then link where you can find some crazy ideas.

  5. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?

The webpage is very attractive and even though it seems to pride itself with its simplicity the site still is able to convey a sense of imagination and freedom. I looked about and was able to decipher quite simply what this site offers and just how well it cultivates and possibly gets your idea realized. I loved to see some of the ideas that people have been able to throw in here and saw that mine was no different…they are just as insane but doable. The site got me interested but more so it got me excited bout submitting my own ideas.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?

Honestly what I was interested in finding was what other people might have submitted, just what kind of ideas were adequate in this site. Something I looked for when I first entered the site, it was simple to find some examples and like I said before it got me excited. Nothing was confusing.
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account and submit Crazy Ideas)? Can you tell us why (or why not)? Note that when you submit crazy ideas, it will be reviewed and you will get awarded in real time.

I am encouraged to create an account as I was able to read some of the ideas that were accepted and I can see that as long as they are applicable they are welcomed in this site. There are a lot of freedom and encouragement here even if it’s not screamed out. So simply said, I was encouraged because the ideas contributed are ideas I feel I could have had.
    4) Did you find the process of submitting ideas simple? Do you think additional information will help simulate your imagination? If so, provide details.

I thought that the submission process was simple enough, I’m not sure how the review process takes place though but judging from some of the things that were accepted, it seems to encourage freedom yet it is fair. I’m not sure what tool could stimulate imagination, imagination cannot be planted upon it is already inside of us…so maybe Beethoven’s 7th symphony?
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I would have loved to have found or read about people whose ideas have been rewarded or perhaps even more so ideas that may be on its way into reality? I think that would excite me as well.

  6. 1) My initial impression is a neutral one. What I can gather from the landing page is that this is a sort of online brainstorming and collaboration site for anything and everything. I like that idea, but I do have a few minor issues. The pictures to me don’t seem very relevant to the idea and feel of the website. I’m not sure what the pictures are supposed to instill. My only other issue I see is the scroll speed of “The most popular Crazy Ideas” box is a little too fast. I can’t read all of the blurb before it changes to another idea. I would recommend lowering the speed slightly.

    2) I decided to look for information on how much you could get for your crazy ideas. It was not very hard to find the $3 per published idea reward. The only thing I am not 100% clear on is whether or not this $3 is a set rate for everything, or if it is just these particular topics that have this reward.

    3) I do very much like the idea of this website. I often have crazy ideas that end up not going anywhere, because I don’t have the funds or means to do anything with the idea. This site will give me an opportunity to let my ideas flow, and get rewarded in the process!

    4) I found the process very straight forward. The only thing I would suggest is the ability to add multiple “industry classifications” to the ideas. I can think of several instances off the top of my head where an idea would fall under multiple industries.

    5) I actually created an account while doing this review, and I’m going to continue exploring and maybe publishing some ideas. I look forward to using your site!

  7. 1. Above the fold, the web site is attractive, but the images don’t tell me anything in particular. A silhouette of a girl on a mountaintop, a hand drawing a circle…Pretty but also rather meaningless. What tells me the most is the text you have in the upper right corner. From that text, I understand that this is a site targeted toward market researchers looking for ideas and regular folks who might be able to provide them with ideas for a chance at rewards and prizes. I wish this text was displayed more prominently because it tends to get lost off in the margin like that. Once I scroll below the fold, I can see some examples of the “Crazy Ideas” presumably submitted by users. However, there seems to be some kind of coding problem because the text is overflowing outside of the idea box, if you will. Finally, there’s a section with “Popular Tags,” but this is just too long for my liking. I would either shorten this or eliminate it altogether and instead add one more “Crazy Idea” example so that you’d have three, which is a nice sample size.

    2. I decided to find out what incentives I’d have to submit my ideas. I tried the “About” page, where I saw a link to an intro video. I watched the video, which was really wonderful–cute, creative, clear, and succinct. In fact, I think this video would do a much better job of introducing eMaginationFlow on the home page than your current slideshow, which is pretty but doesn’t communicate anything about your web site. In any case, from the video, I understood that I could earn cash by submitting my ideas, but I still wanted to find out how much cash. The “How you benefit?” section on the “About” page also didn’t really clarify this, so my next thought was to try the “FAQ” page, which for some strange reason had a link under the “Contact Us” section. This was where I finally found out the answer to my question–rewards are determined individually by each company seeking an idea. From browsing the ideas, I could see that most of them were offering about $3.

    3. If I had a lot of free time on my hands and out-of-the-box ideas came to me quickly and easily, then I might be encouraged to create an account. For me personally, the time involved in brainstorming for unusual ideas isn’t worth $3.

    4. I created an account for your web site the first time that you were featured on StartUpLift. Unfortunately, I forgot my password, and I didn’t see any way to request that it be sent to me, so I tried to sign up for a new account. Only after I had filled out the form completely was my address recognized, at which point eMaginationFlow offered to send me my old password. I wish I had had the option of requesting it before I had to fill out another registration form. Once I signed in and created a new password, I found the dashboard extremely easy to navigate. I liked the simple user interface with a navbar across the top for my various account pages and a sidebar for navigating the rest of the site. Good job with that! I chose “Browse Topics” and found that, compared to my last visit, the topics seemed to be better organized. Although I don’t remember details, I do remember that the last time I visited, I had some issues with navigation. No longer. Now it’s easy to find topics and click each one for a topic profile with more detailed information. My only suggestion is that current “Crazy Idea” submissions would be displayed directly under the profile page for each topic. It’s easy to miss the link to current “Crazy Ideas” if the user doesn’t read the whole topic profile carefully. Anyway, I chose a topic to submit to, and the whole submission process was very smooth. I’m not sure what you mean when you ask if additional information would help stimulate the creative process. Additional information about what?

    5. Compared to last time I visited eMaginationFlow, I think the site is much improved. I remember some issues with navigation back then, and those largely seem to have disappeared. Especially once signed into the site, it’s extremely easy to find one’s way around, and the layout is very simple and attractive. However, I still think there’s some room for improvement. In addition to some of the suggestions I already made for the home page, I also think it could use a more extensive navbar. As it is now, a lot of pages are inaccessible from the home page. The user has to visit the “About” page to find them. (I’m referring to “Contact,” “FAQ,” etc.) These pages deserve their own navbar tabs so that busy users don’t have to go digging for them.

In terms of the site concept, I think eMaginationFlow is a lot of fun to use, especially for someone who constantly comes up with interesting ideas easily. However, a lot of people may not find it worth the time to brainstorm for just $3 per idea, especially when those ideas stand to make some company millions of dollars. But I could see a lot of high school and maybe college kids becoming regular users. If you want to attract a wider audience than that, how about THIS for a “Crazy Idea”? Offer $3 per submission to anyone whose “Crazy Idea” you publish on the site, but if a company actually wants to use the idea, they have to formally negotiate a payment with the member. Your site would serve as the middleman to connect the company with the member. Honestly, businesses pay their staff full-time salaries to come up with useful ideas. When someone gets a patent on an invention and a business wants to use it, they have to pay thousands, even hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars to the inventor based on the idea’s estimated worth. Why should anyone give away potentially valuable ideas for $3? If I knew that I could stand to make really significant money off a truly out-of-the-box idea at eMaginationFlow (the kind of money that such ideas really deserve when they make huge profits for businesses), then I would definitely be a regular participator at your site, and I’ll bet you could attract some extremely bright, talented people. Just a thought. Good luck with it!

  8. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
The page looks attractive at first, and conveys the impression that it is about crazy ideas. However, I cannot tell exactly what the business model is, or what service is offered to end-users. The list of tags at the bottom of the page is excessively large and distracting.
I see two boxes in the middle of the page, both of which have “submit” links. It is not clear, either from the context of the rest of the page, or from the contents of the boxes themselves, what I would be submitting, or trying to submit, if I click those links.
I watched the video linked on the button “Watch Video,” but was immediately disconcerted by the fact that the video played with only 1-channel of audio. This was especially noticeable as I was using headphones while watching it. It should really play in stereo. The video didn’t seem to explain much about the service, and I know no more about emaginationflow than I had before watching it.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
OK, I want to find any crazy ideas about selling revenue from the future in order to obtain benefits in the present. I don’t know anything else about the site, at this point, than that it promotes sharing crazy ideas, so that is really the only type of think I want to look for. I have performed some searches using the search tool at the top of the page for “selling future,” “sell future,” and “mortgage future” but they did not return any results. I did not find what I was looking for.

    3) 3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account and submit Crazy Ideas)? Can you tell us why (or why not)? Note that when you submit crazy ideas, it will be reviewed and you will get awarded in real time.
I am disinclined to create an account, as I don’t really know what the site does. I do not know what “…when you submit crazy ideas, it will be reviewed and you will get awarded in real time.” means. Is it good that my idea will be reviewed in real time? What will I be “awarded”? How fast is “real time”?

    4) Did you find the process of submitting ideas simple? Do you think additional information will help simulate your imagination? If so, provide details.
I clicked on the “submit button” and it brought me to a form which looks very familiar and easy to use, like many such forms on other sites. One aspect that confused me is that there is a “Topic” field and an “Industry Classification.” It is not immediately obvious what the definitions of those two things are, and how they differ from each other. I was able to submit my idea without incident.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I think this site has a unique focus; I have not heard of any other site which promotes the creation of crazy ideas. But the delivery, at least for first-time visitors, needs to be improved in such a way that it is clear what emaginationflow does. There should be an explanation on the main page about what users can do, how they can do it, and what the rewards are. Perhaps this information already exists and I just didn’t come across it, but it seems that a lot of the information is scattered around the site. It should be available all in one place. Perhaps a second video, explaining every step of the process from registering an account to submitting an idea to receiving a reward, would be useful for this.
