I think the site looks great with its design. The combinaton of the color blue and black on the background appears elegant because it does not attract too much attention. It’s not distracting at all and it is friendly to the eyes. I was immediately drawn to the large picture of the featured movie. I tried to click it but it does not link to anything. Maybe if you could link it directly to that movie, it would be better because the large picture catches the eye and can be easily accessed with a click.
2) We show niche movies, and are a film club for film geeks, showing movies that are not necessarily mainstream. Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
Yes I am encouraged to sign up because of the good layout of the website. It tells me that since the webpage looks great, then the movies in there would also be high quality films. But I think it would help if we can see ratings under each of the movie titles, like 5 stars, because people might want to know how others think of the film before watching it. If there are no ratings yet, maybe the editor or administrator can give his or her own personal rating or review of the movie to start the ball rolling.
3) would you recommend us to your friends?
Judging from what I have seen from the website, yes I would recommend you to my friends. I am certain they won’t be disappointed.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like netflix.com and lovefilm.com?
I’ve seen the other sites and honestly, I think this site looks better. The other sites look messy and crowded. While this one is simple yet elegant-looking. Well, they may have included ratings and reviews of the movies, which is a plus for them. But they have mainstream movies that’s why it’s not hard for them to get those. Maybe you can motivate your customers to rate or make a review on the movies they’ve watched, possibly by giving freebies or something.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Overall, this website is already very good in terms of design. Minor improvements can be made. But I commend you for providing good quality movies other than those blockbuster films shown on most other sites. Providing 1080p movies for streaming would be a great addition though. I hope this helps.

When I opened up the site the first thing that I noticed was that the scrolling images at the top of the page took a pretty long time to load – my internet connection is usually quite quick and I don’t generally experience this on other sites.
I really like the look and feel of the home page. Â It seems like it was well thought out and I find it clear and uncluttered.
I can’t say that I was drawn to click on anything in particular. Â I was however drawn to the logo which I really like. Â When I looked at it I wondered whether the play button in the logo would do anything but noticed that it just takes you back to the homepage. Â I think it would be really cool if the play button could take you to some type of hidden or special offer page. Â Just a thought! Â Â
2) We show niche movies, and are a film club for film geeks, showing movies that are not necessarily mainstream. Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
I think it would be great to sign up for a free trial account. Â It isn’t however clear exactly how to do so. Â I scrolled down the page and noticed the “How To” box and that there was a link that allowed you to register for free there. Â If you hadn’t asked whether I would like to sign up for a free trial, as a new visitor to the site, I would not have known about it. Â Perhaps if you could include something at top of the page letting visitors know about this. Â Perhaps a button or link with a page explaining how the site works and the benefits of registering for a free or paid account. Â The text at the bottom of the page…. “Offering free membership and free movie downloads and the ability to watch films online…”, could perhaps be placed in a more prominent area?
Just noticed the “How it works” link at the bottom of the page. Â I really like the information on this page and I personally think that this page should be more prominent. I think that points 1 and 2 on this page are really important and that visitors should see them up front. Â I love that as a new visitor you can watch your first couple of movies for free and that you have Tuesday Movie Night. Â Â I think it would be great if the link to this page could be at the top somewhere so that visitors could immediately get answers to any questions they might have.
3) would you recommend us to your friends?
I definitely would. Â After reading the how it works page (especially points one and two) I think it would be really cool to register and become a member. Â I’m not sure what you are going for with the site but I almost get a community type vibe when looking at the site, it’s almost got an intimate, personal feel about it which I really like. I also really like that the site is interactive and that as a member you are encouraged to write reviews for credits. Â I noticed that you have a forum and I think that it would be awesome to connect with other members in this way.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like netflix.com and lovefilm.com?
I don’t like the look and feel of netflix at all. Â One nice thing about their site is that their heading explains what they offer perfectly ie “Watch unlimited movies and TV episodes…..” etc. Â The only thing that they don’t tell you is how much their monthly cost is. Â
I looked at the Lovefilm site and I still prefer your site. Â The Lovefilm site seems less personal. Â Maybe it’s because your site is more of a niche site that it just seems more “homely” to me.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I think that  if the how it works info could be more prominent it would be great.  Perhaps the scrolling pics at the top of the page could be made smaller or moved to the side so that buttons or links to the how it works page and the sign up page could be included without having to scroll down. Â
I also noticed on the How It Works page that you talk about the Silver membership which is free. Perhaps you could include more information on the types of memberships you have, what each offers and what they cost.
Overall though I really like your site! Â I love its look and feel, its vibe and of course what it offers visitors.
1) Visit https://www.FilmLounge.com What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
The layout, design and color choices for the landing page gave me an immediate sense of theater (aside from the obvious). Not only that, but — and this is simply a personal impression — my feeling was that the film selection was specialized and focused on quality/certain genres. I was missing a drop-down box with movie genres at the top. I looked for it instinctively. I’m getting a bit of an “elitist” feel here too. “These are movies for smart people” kind of vibe. The layout seems basic and efficient, as with most modern startup sites. The selection of movies on the page seem random and without any certain order or purpose.
2) We show niche movies, and are a film club for film geeks, showing movies that are not necessarily mainstream. Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
It’s not immediately clear that this is the mission statement of your site. The bulk of this question should be in the black bar at the top of the homepage, to give people an idea of the concept of your service. This is the number one problem I notice with new startups. They fail to present an obvious but unobtrusive blurb/mission statement that is clearly visible; it should be one of the first things a new visitor sees when coming to your site. One thing that made me hesitate to sign up is the pricing. There’s no American dollar figure, and while this is technically not a problem, if you are looking to attract an American clientele, I believe the lack of that may throw off new visitors from the States. First impressions – especially on the internet – are a matter of seconds in the making and some people will see the “foreign” price figures and turn away.
Â
I also thought that I might be able to get most of these films on Netflix for a fraction of the price. I do, however, really like the methodology of earning credits to watch films, and how you’ve used that attraction to encourage people to contribute reviews and build site momentum and content. I think that’s an excellent idea. As it stands now, I would consider signing up, but I dont feel the urge to do so immediately. Netflix seems to satisfy my occasional movie needs, but in the past, when I watched a lot more TV, this would have been tempting, especially with the means of earning free movie views.
3) would you recommend us to your friends?
I definitely think there are people who would enjoy this kind of community, though I’m not sure that I would go out of my way to recommend the site specifically to a particular friend. I don’t have any friends that are into writing movie reviews or wanting to be a part of a community of gathered movie-lovers. I suppose it boils down to me not being the target demographic. If I were in the right circle, I would think about passing this link along, but then again I might be aware of other options that I’m not aware of now.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like netflix.com and lovefilm.com?
I’m not too familiar with LoveFilms but from what I can see, it appears to be somewhere in between the Netflix concept and your own — that being a more specialized service that still retains mainstream ties. Netflix still ends up providing what I need at the moment and I feel no great urge to change my service. The bottom line is that your product would be an enhancement to my movie-watching rather than a replacement for Netflix altogether. It would have to be an investment — whatever the actual monetary expense ended up being — on top of current ones.
Â
The biggest idea that I feel you need to convey right off the bat is that you are *different* from Netflix and that you provide something they don’t. People need to see that you have a selection of movies not readily available at competitor sites, and that they still remain appealing and engaging and provide quality cinema for reduced or no cost. Perhaps have a list of movies that are not showing at the competitor site/sites and feature these on the landing page so visitors immediately think “I haven’t seen that one.” Of course, these still have to be interesting choices, and not just B-movie rejects.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I think some of the links all the way at the bottom of the landing page in really small print need a more prominent place, especially the “How It Works” link. That needs to be up top and obvious. The “Genres” bar might do better higher up so it’s visible when you arrive at the site. The text in some of the graphical boxes is outside of the borders; it looks sloppy (Special Offers page for example).
The Reviews page needs to be organized to easy search for a review on a certain movie. It may take a while to build up enough reviews where this would even matter. Make sure reviews are a certain length and quality to qualify for points, otherwise that section will be completely useless. (ah, 300 words, okay…)
I’m confused about Platinum Membership. Are you really anticipating someone to be that serious about your site? I don’t know that a person who would want those benefits would pay for them through a movie site rather than already have the connections or know-how to do it themselves. I could be wrong.
Most of the rest is contained above but I just wanted to stress setting yourself apart from competitors. I can get some of those movies on Netflix for “free” (that’s what we think in our head even though there’s a monthly fee) so why would I want to use your site? Make sure I know what I can get there and not elsewhere. Make sure I know that almost right after I get to the site.
Â
Good Luck!

1) Visit https://www.FilmLounge.com What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
The site has a nice layout. Color combinations are good. You are immediately drawn to the large banner and want to click on the movies being shown. The size of the banner distracts from the click buttons associated with the movies. The contrasting gray color on the task bar make it easy for you to see the section you are in. Nice size pics for showing movie titles draws you in. I personally loved the shopping cart button.
Very clean site. My personal opinion is most of the information could be put on relevant pages to uncluttered the task bars, to many places to click and to much hidden information that you have to search for.
2) We show niche movies, and are a film club for film geeks, showing movies that are not necessarily mainstream. Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
The size of the pics actually draws you in to want and see the review. The reviews are interesting and create a sense to sign up. The hesitation is the foreign currency. While the site is specialized genre there is enough selection of movie titles to interest others to investigate further. Not really seeing pricing for subscription membership the tiny link on how it works should be made more clear or this information added to the subscription pages, gives me a feeling that there will be hidden fees aside from the shown pricing of the movies.
3) would you recommend us to your friends? I would recommend this to friends that like these niche movies but not necessarily all my friends. Maybe older viewers would appreciate this site more than younger viewers.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like netflix.com and lovefilm.com? I think with the specialized niche they are going for will not attract as many followers as the other websites mentioned because the others have a broader selection for audiences.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I feel that cleaning up the links and consolidating information would give this site a more crisp and clean appearance. It would project a more trustworthy site and experience. And possibly attract more subscribers. Some of the consolidation I would consider is to get rid of the account link as there is already members link. Use drop down menus. And consolidate the how it works into the subscriptions.
1) Visit https://www.FilmLounge.com What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
– Yes, absolutely.  It is a very attractive main page.  The center mass is taken up with a very large scrolling display of current content.  The time of the display is just right for me to get an idea of the films you are currently offering.  Before I knew it I was scrolling through all the additional content you have in your catalog.  The main page is very easily organized an understood.  The top navigation bar separates the movies into categories that most viewers would be happy to search.  Searches like “New Films” and “Top Films” are necessary to a streaming movie audience.  The margin could use some additional icons or previews for new films like lovefilm.com has. Not to draw attention away, but the solid blue color is a bit boring.  Contrasted with the black banner, the page has a bit of a myspace.com appeal, which is close to dead.
2) We show niche movies, and are a film club for film geeks, showing movies that are not necessarily mainstream. Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
– Yes. Â These niche films are very hard to find streaming. Â I don’t want to have to go to my local Blockbuster just to pick up one film that I can’t find on the internet. Â Last time that happened I ended up buying the flick because I forgot to return it. Â Especially because the sign up is free, I wouldn’t think twice about trying this site out.
3) Would you recommend us to your friends?
-Yes. Â Many of my friends are fellow film geeks. Â This would be an excellent sources of hard to get films for them to fill their hearts to the brim. Â The simple and easy to use navigation would make it very easy for me to just tell them the site name and let them figure out the rest.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like netflix.com and lovefilm.com -That is a bit like comparing apples and oranges.  Netflix.com is in a league of its own.  There is not much out there that can compete with it.  True, Neflix does not have the some type of content this website offers, but, that being said, I am going to pay for the site that has the most.  This would be an excellent addition to Netflix, but not a replacement.  The easy of use is very similar to Netflix.  Which I like.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have
-The trailer feature is excellent. Â I don’t have to navigate to a different site to watch the preview. Â I am much more likely to rent a movie just after watching the preview.
-Lack of content. Â Needs more films as soon as possible. Â I would be a bit adverse to signing up for a subscription with only this content.
-Redo the CSS. Â The color combinations are a bit off. Â The text at the bottom is an awful color.
-Consider redoing the credit system. Â This is a bit confusing. Â A graphical representation of the different levels may be good.
Best of luck, hope this helps!
1).) Visit https://www.FilmLounge.com What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
Perhaps a button or link with a page explaining how the site works and the benefits of registering for a free or paid account. I really like the information on this page and I personally think that this page should be more prominent. I think it would be great if the link to this page could be at the top somewhere so that visitors could immediately get answers to any questions they might have.

The website looks inviting.  All the pictures of the actors were smiling.  I was interested in clicking on many of the buttons to see what this site was about. I immediately registered, however found it interesting that there was an “invitation code†option – I thought it was free to join?  Also, the pictures of the actors on the site looked fuzzy and not clear – some pictures looked even spliced together.
2) We show niche movies, and are a film club for film geeks, showing movies that are not necessarily mainstream. Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
I consider myself a film geek, and I love independent films. Â I was interested in signing up for a free trial, however I was discouraged. I live in United States and the options for payment were not in U.S. Dollar currency.
3) would you recommend us to your friends?
I would only recommend this site to someone outside of the US.  I tried to look for buttons that said “US†at the top of the site so that the payment option would change to US Dollar.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like netflix.com and lovefilm.com?
This site could learn from Netflix. Does FilmLounge offer one to view movies on their tvs like Netflix does? Â FilmLounge is a good start. The name of the site is great. I like that the word lounge is in title which infers more laid back approach, a genre for people not interested in the main stream, or big budget films.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I saw no diversity in the pictures of the films.  I even selected genre World Cinema and found no diverse options – what about African or Asian films?  Recommendation is to take off the name Aaron Emmett from the bottom of the page unless Aaron wants a slew of emails, calls, suggestions, comments and critiques. It is nice to acknowledge the person however I have never seen a person’s name at bottom of a company’s site nor next to the privacy policy. Add US or USA as an option to select U.S. currency – is this site only open to countries who use pounds? Or have a link which converts dollars to pounds (or does paypal do this conversion for us)?
1) Visit https://www.FilmLounge.com What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
my first impression was I like the background, next my eyes went to the top right corner where you have the links to like this site on facebook, twitter, etc.
my next thing i got caught up on was wondering what in the world the blue icon dangling on the right side of the screen was? there was nothing to indicate to me
or tell me what this was, so out of curiosity I clicked it and was taken to my cart I guess? im assuming this is your version of a shopping cart, your calling it
a basket which is innovative, if your expecting people to buy in small volumes. you have a search feature which is good, login is easily findable, and lots of
tabs to navigate. another thing I am noticing is all the prices are in pounds or whatever currency that maybe, im gonna suggest if these are sold in the USA to maybe
have dollar signs somewhere in there, if not i apoligize im not familiar with this site. I have scrolled down a bit and see you have a search feature by genre which
is convenient, and I personally use this feature the most on movie sites that I personally use. in my opinion, I believe the front page is well layed out and easy to navigate, looks like a lot of thought was put into this and where to place specific things. I like it and find it easy to navigate. looking at the site, I would
not know what you do here judging by the front page though. If you scroll down though you guys provide a small summary of what you are about and information involving the site. I would personally make this a font size or two bigger, to me before I read it I thought it was a disclaimer just judging by the size and way it was put into the page. I like how you have the register for free button on the left side in a nicely sized logo so it is easily viewable and easy to find on the eyes.
2) We show niche movies, and are a film club for film geeks, showing movies that are not necessarily mainstream.
Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
me personally, I would not signup for a free membership. I am more of a mainstream guy when it comes to movies. Im not into the independent film arena. upon first glance at the movies listed on the front page, I see a few actors I know and love, but nothing that would incline me to want to pay to see any of these movies. this is just my personal preference and is irrelevant for the demographic filmlounge is aiming for.
3) would you recommend us to your friends?
I certainly know a few friends, that are “film geeks” as you call them, that would gladly love this site and some of the movies you offer. just the way the site is
made and the professionalism of it, I would be inclined to refer a friend to this website. I know they would appreciate it a lot, considering a lot of other movie outlets offer some of these movies, this is more in depth with this typpe of following you are looking for in this site.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like netflix.com and lovefilm.com?
I personally am a subscriber of netflix, I enjoy netflix but they are starting to aggrivate me with no new movies. not necessarily new movies as in 2012 movies,
just new content in general. It seems to me everytime I get on netflix its the same old movies and tv shows that have always been there, I feel as if they dont add
anything new. at least, change the movies around and put them in a different order so I dont feel like im browsing the same movies everytime I login, maybe that would help this site a bit, just rearrange everything once a month or so so it doesnt look the same all the time. Netflix, definitly has more titles to choose from then this site which would prolly incline people to join netflix over this site. maybe try to add some other titles that will broaden your demographic audience, instead of focusing on one group of individuals. for someone to be a member here and buy these movies, in my opinion they would have to be a film geek junkie or strong follower of these type of movies. I just dont think you are reaching your potential moneymaking by focusing on one demographic. In my opinion, most people are gonna choose netflix over this because it is $8 a month to view thousands of movies, you are asking 2 pounds per movie, im not sure what that translates into, but im sure if you can watch more movies for your money there. A lot of people in this world and economy today are struggling to survive and cant splurge on these items like they use to.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
overall I believe the site is well made and easy to navigate. after trying to watch a show just to see how it works, it says I have to be in the UK, so i’m assuming this is only available there. things I personally would try and do here is to reach out to a bigger audience, and add more titles. one thing i strongly love about this site is its ability to stream the movie on ps3, psp, iphone, ipad, mac, and pc. I also navigated over to the members tab, and see that you allow people to earn their memberships for free by referring new members, and watching films. that offers great incentives for people to join and reachout to the public and get more traffic to the site. I think this is well thought out and executed by whomever made and designed this website!
1) Visit https://www.FilmLounge.com What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
It looks good for the type of site it is. Like it’s the layout that makes it seem like the site really is for watching movies. I really like the Film Lounge logo at the top left corner. Simple, but it totally gets the idea out there that the site is all about movies. The menu is right on and visible for everyone to see. Plus it’s just right there and you see it as soon as you get on the page. I’m drawn to click ‘new films’ and ‘top films’ since I’d like to know what people watch most these days.
2) We show niche movies, and are a film club for film geeks, showing movies that are not necessarily mainstream. Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
Yes, because sometimes the most mainstream movies that get so much attention and hype are movies that I don’t find that great. I’m the type of person who doesn’t want to watch what is ‘IN’ at the moment.
3) would you recommend us to your friends? Certainly!
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like netflix.com and lovefilm.com?
Well it’s gonna take some time til it reaches netflix/lovefilm status. Netflix and love film are very well known and not only can you watch it on your computer but you can watch stuff using game consoles and mobile phones, plus you can rent dvds via mail. Netflix also has tv series and documentaries.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
It’s organized and definitely easy to navigate. Everything you need to see is on the homepage. No need to click around a bunch of times just to find something general like ‘top films’ and such. It’s cool how the film lounge is all about movies that are not exactly mainstream. It’s like a huge bank of movies that might be hard to find elsewhere. It’s perfect for film junkies! Definitely!
Another thing, if this was offered internationally I think it’ll bring in more users/customers.
– Visit https://www.FilmLounge.com What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
My immediate thought of this website was how sleek the design is. The color scheme down to the div boxes, even the placement of everything is very professional and pleasing to the eye. I also like the fact that you offer indie films rather then typical run of the mill films that get major publicity for a reasonable rate. These factors definitely made me want to continue browsing the site.
– We show niche movies, and are a film club for film geeks, showing movies that are not necessarily mainstream. Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
Oh yes! I like this concept because you don’t see it much. As with netflix or any other major movie streaming site you may have to request indie or underground films to appear in you list. But with this service you can expand your movie library!
– Would you recommend us to your friends?
Definitely! A lot of my friends are film junkies and always like finding new/interesting ones to watch. I’d even use it for myself.
– How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like netflix.com and lovefilm.com?
They obviously have the same target audience and same service but as stated before this offers something netflix and lovefilm do not offer. The chance to see indie/underground films hardly seen.

Good luck! I hope the site continues to run.
1) Visit https://www.FilmLounge.com What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
Film lounge is at first impressions a great site that will appeal to most movie lovers. I immediately was drawn to click on buttons and the response me was good as I work on a slow internet connection in South Africa. The Pound sign put me off a bit as it gives an expensive impressing as our money unit is Rand and is very weak against the Pound. I clicked on and interesting looking movie through the link that says watch now. Was expecting a sing up form that require lots of detail but to my surprise was led to a very informative page with a trailer automatically loading. It gave me enough info to make a decision if this really is the movie I would like to watch. If I may make a suggestion from the first page, it would be nice to add to the free sign up to include the first movie for free as that will help me overcome the money barrier and let me get use to how the sign up works. To create trust on the web for first time users is very difficult as there are too many new websites jumping up everywhere. I even from South Africa would like to see if an UK bases website delivers what they promise by getting my first movie free. This will allow me to trust your site and once you trust something you will go back to it.
Would also suggest to invest in software to convert the currency to change to the users currency or even get a credit system based on how many credits you have give you access to so many movies. For example 1 movie may cost 10 credits and for joining today you will get 10 credits.
In return you will have the people emails and can lead you to better marketing efforts.
Overall I believe your first page is very well designed and the automatic slider works brilliantly not forcing people to click on anything and still gives valuable information.
2) We show niche movies, and are a film club for film geeks, showing movies that are not necessarily mainstream. Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
Yes I like your idea of Niche movies, and geek film club. All slang that will appeal to the movie fanatics out there. However I am a conservative father of two who rarely goes out to watch movies. The slag does not effect my decision at all but what does is the fact that I can watch a movie online without having to drive to the movie rental shop, Get an info overload at the amount of movies that is released and then also have to pretend blind not the see the naked ladies having sex on he front covers of some movies that makes me feel I am cheating on my wife. For that reason I like your appeal and would consider to sign up. Yet again as previously mentioned I still would not go trough the presses if I do not get a free movie. If I am hooked on your site and spend a couple of hundred quid it will by no means let you lose money but rather help all your future users tap into your offer today rather that tomorrow
3) would you recommend us to your friends?
I do not know who you are and what kind of niche market you aim for. I do not know if my 3 year old daughter will be exposed to movies that does not support our moral values. So until then I will probably not recommend you until we know each other better. Too many people and their websites are chasing after money and will drop their moral values just to please their audience. As most people are teenagers that watch movies, this site can easily build up its reputation for not promoting offensive movies and if that is the case I will definitely recommend it to all my friends.
I strongly suggest you give a brief description of your morals and values that you stand for as this will give you the trust of most families that want to raise their children with good ethical values and morals.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like netflix.com and lovefilm.com?
I am not familiar with either but to answer your question I visited both and here is my honest first impressions:
Lovefilm first of all does not ring true to its name as it gives you the impression that it is all love films. Their site is static meaning their is very little interaction and it looks like a hard sell. If you are not going to join your free trail account it makes you feel unwelcome. Your offer is much the same but it has a better approach and offer a more interesting first experience. I would advice to make your offer more appealing that just a free trail but rather give a free movie as earlier mentioned.
Also the loading time of your site were much faster.
netflix.com:
This site gave my a page that immediately recognized that I am in South Africa and told me Sorry but they are not in South Africa yet. Looks like they know what they are doing and would not excite audiences to whom they cannot deliver. Not sure if your site will allow me to watch movies in South Africa??

In summery what I have heard from others netflix is the main internet based movie webpage. However cause you cater for a niche market it many give you the gap they do not fill. If I would have to choose so far yours is most appealing
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
After spending a little time on your site it became clear who you are and what kind of movies to expect. In all I like how you have designed the site and the home page is very appealing. It give me the opportunity to really get the right first impression. Would always remember it as a easy to use site that gives good revievs and trailers at the click of a button. Must say even much better that our big screen movie company in South Africa whose website seriously is stupid. Apart from that I am still not sure if I will be able to watch the movies online in South Africa or if your values are living up to my standards.
I truly hope my inputs was of value and grant you all success for the future 🙂
What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
An interesting colorful site, that draws the attention with recognizable actors and slides that catches the eye and immediate focus on film headings
We show niche movies, and are a film club for film geeks, showing movies that are not necessarily mainstream. Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
Yes, I would be encouraged because for someone to land on this site in the first place, movies is their interest. It is like an online video store….You can decide the genre and you can read a review and watch a trailer. Chances are if I decide to watch a movie after all that info, it would be something that I would enjoy and be excited about. Money well spent.
would you recommend us to your friends?
Yes I would recommend this site to friends, because it is catering for all interests and there will be something that they would want to see.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like netflix.com and lovefilm.com?
For one thing, Netflix is not available in all countries. Lovefilm.com by the looks of it, has television and does not have film by genre. This site is the ideal for filmgeek and movienight.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
What I do not see is ratings for the films. The rest is easy to access and explains the rest of the terms and features clearly

1)What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?I really enjoyed the large photo of a film on the front page. It draws you in immediately. I am drawn to hit the button of the film. I would perfer more of a selection of films on top of the page. I see there are only 4, and the 4 that are displayed I’ve never heard of. The options menu on the upper left is a little small for my liking. I personally would like them at the top of the page, running across.
2) We show niche movies, and are a film club for film geeks, showing movies that are not necessarily mainstream. Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why? I enjoy movies especially those that are not mainstream, but there should be an attention getter for those who are not a fan of these films. There are movies out there that most people are familiar with that have big name actors/actresses. I would headline that in order to get the attention of the reader.
3) would you recommend us to your friends? I think I would reccommend this to my friends. I dont see many websites that target these films specifically. Its a great Idea!
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like netflix.com and lovefilm.com? The competitors are sometimes overwhelming in the option and choices. There has to be the right mix. People sometimes get frusterated and just leave the sit if that can’t navigate it to well, or are confused.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have. I think this is a great concept. i think I would just clarify the pricing structure a little more. When browsing for titles in the genres it gets a little confusing. The titles are at the bottom of the page, and there is a section where you are instructed to register. I immediately thought you need to register just to browse the films. My suggestion would be to put those titles up top.
This site was pleasant to the eye, very informative, and most of all just the kind of site I would like to join. There are times when I just want to relax, and watching a good movies or (should I say film), is just what the doctor ordered. The price is not bad. I have already book marked this site, and will be going back to sign up.
I have had a subscription with Netflix for over 5 years now. Unable to compare the two, not enough information to go on. After becoming more familiar with this site, I would love to come back with a more detailed review.

What is your initial impression of what you see? Movies to stream online. Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not? Yes the prices seem decent enough to buy.
2) We show niche movies, and are a film club for film geeks, showing movies that are not necessarily mainstream. Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why? I would be interested in a free trial but I’m currently booked with too many similar accounts.
3) would you recommend us to your friends? Yes All let my friends know if their interested in great price movies.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like netflix.com and lovefilm.com? It compares by having similiar movies. But the downfall of this website it charges for each movie. And the other ones charge 1 price for as many movies you may want to watch.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Would recommend adding more variety like tv shows new releases all sorts. Music Video Streaming Free movies. And more.
