Visit https://www.GetApp.com/ Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? What is catching your attention? I see that this site is about finding apps for my business via search categories that pertain to my business. I think from my brief encounter, the site looks very appealing, both eye catching and organized.
Make a research with AppFinder from the homepage to search an application that is relevant to your business. Do you get a significant list of results? I entered in my search qualifications, but was unable to get another screen to open. At this time, I cannot get the site to even open back up for me.
Read a detailed analyst review on a CRM application https://www.getapp.com/evaluation-center/worketc-independent-analyst-review . Do you get the information needed to help with your choice?Â
I am sorry, I am unable to get the site to open for me at this point. I have shut down my computer and restarted, I still gets stuck on loading this site.
It is was easy to use, but has the look and feel of so many other websites. Â Nothing too special about it.
It took me three attempt to get the site to load. On the third attempt it loaded up quickly. The site is user friendly, the buttons, colors and background are in good contrast.
A really good business locator and research site. I would definately use it and believe that it will be usefull for others.
I have noticed that a few other people had trouble to get it to load quickly so, that may need to be looked into.
Once again, a very visually pleasing home page.
Visit https://www.GetApp.com/ Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? What is catching your attention?
Site is about new sofware applications that is on the market that we can evaluate that suits our business. I guess the Software App finder is quite catchy that allows the user to search/narrow down software for scale of business
Make a research with AppFinder from the homepage to search an application that is relevant to your business. Do you get a significant list of results?
Yes I do get expected volume of results
Read a detailed analyst review on a CRM application https://www.getapp.com/evaluation-center/worketc-independent-analyst-review . Do you get the information needed to help with your choice?
Yes information is there to choose. Evaluation conclusion can include bullet point features and downsides to decide
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites like the Google Apps Marketplace ?
Definitely more catchy and descriptive than Google apps.Too many advertisements on right side though.
Would you buy applications from a marketplace rather than directly from the vendor site? What value add would you expect to do so?
option of compare features of similar applications in same field would be a value add
What would you find useful to manage all your web based applications from a single workspace? Single Sign On, Unified billing, User provisioning?
Single sign on will be moe useful
Do you have any additional thoughts/comments?
Colour scheme and buttons are pleasing although I feel the main menu lacks boldness
Visit https://www.GetApp.com/ Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? What is catching your attention?
As soon as I go to the site it’s easy to tell what it’s about. It’s an app store for business’s. The first thing that caught my attention was the “try the software appfinder” box. I actually wanted to try it as soon as I saw it.
Make a research with AppFinder from the homepage to search an application that is relevant to your business. Do you get a significant list of results?
Yes I get a great amount and variety of results. Since I did my search based on my actual business needs,I actually forgot I was testing the site for a few minutes and started looking through the apps lol.
Read a detailed analyst review on a CRM application https://www.getapp.com/evaluation-center/worketc-independent-analyst-review . Do you get the information needed to help with your choice?
YES! The amount of information was great and I once again found myself just browsing through and reading about apps.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites like the Google Apps Marketplace?
I have personally never used Google apps. The closest site I could compare it to would be download.com. I think it is very comparable, even though the premise is slightly different than Download.com,the concept is the same. A definite pro is how much information your site provides. I’ll put the cons any cons I’ve found down below.
Would you buy applications from a marketplace rather than directly from the vendor site? What value add would you expect to do so?
You bet I would,my current way of buying apps is usually go to the vendor, but this can be a long and annoying process trying to find what app to get. The fact that I can look in one place at all the apps that interest me is enough of a value add for me. The amount of time that it saves is more than enough to make me buy from a marketplace.
What would you find useful to manage all your web based applications from a single workspace? Single Sign On, Unified billing, User provisioning?
Both a single sign on and especially unified billing would be amazing. Also (something like this might already be in place, but in case not,I figured I’d suggest it) a panel to show all the apps that you’ve downloaded, with contact information, subscription information etc etc. Something simple like on the lines of Firefox’s add on manager, maybe just a little more robust.
Do you have any additional thoughts/comments?
All and all I think you have a pretty amazing site. To the point where I would consider using as a costumer in the future. There are a few things that would be nice to see though.
#1 Your search is pretty amazing and allows for a lot of options, but it would be nice to see a search box where you can type in the apps name or a keyword. This would be especially useful if people come to your site looking to download a particular app, just because they trust downloading from you. I know I and many other people will go to say Download.com to download whatever they’re looking for, instead of even doing a google search, they just automatically go there. If I had to search for what I was looking for, based solely on categories,I think I would just do the google search for the manufacturer.
#2Comparrison-A compare check box would be awesome. Where a customer can choose a few apps and then go to a new page and just sit back and compare them side by side. Also,it would be nice if the adds in the marketplace would have a link to their evaluation article if there is one.
I think that’s all I have to say. This site is quite amazing and well oiled already,I give it a thumbs up,and with a search box added I’d give it two thumbs. Thanks for letting me review your site.

The register button needs to be bigger so as to catch the eye for people interested in signing up, the login button needs to be augmented as well. Otherwise at a glance the layout is clean, easy to understand just a bit low on color.
I used the AppFinder and received a fair listing for my business needs, definitely needs more choices but this will come as the company grows.
With the application I got most of the information I needed. As for comparison with Google Apps Marketplace, Google offers more choices but when searching but your site is easier to navigate.
The unified billing appeals to me especially since I deal with it in my job. Having side bars for adding more advertising helps build revenue for your company.
The last comment I would add is slightly more like jQuery or similar application.
Make a research with AppFinder from the homepage to search an application that is relevant to your business. Do you get a significant list of results? Yes. This time I performed a search and within seconds was taken to my search results.
Read a detailed analyst review on a CRM application https://www.getapp.com/evaluation-center/worketc-independent-analyst-review . Do you get the information needed to help with your choice? Absolutely. I received very thorough information to help with my selection.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites like the Google Apps Marketplace ? While comparable, it’s not as easy as some sites I have used. It seems a bit complicated and lengthy.
Would you buy applications from a marketplace rather than directly from the vendor site? What value add would you expect to do so? While I haven’t bought apps from a site other than the vendor site previously, If the explanation of the app was appealing to me and after I reviewed the company and app thoroughly, I might consider it. I would look for help from within the site and a definite contact information.
What would you find useful to manage all your web based applications from a single workspace? Single Sign On, Unified billing, User provisioning? Definitely single sign on and unified billing.
Additional Thoughts/Comments It just seems like I had an awful time trying to get different pages to load. I that that is definitely something that needs to be checked out thoroughly. Color schemes and overall appearance is aesthetically pleasing.
Visit https://www.GetApp.com/ Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? What is catching your attention?
This website is about providing apps for business all in one website. The thing that stood out to me the most was the app finder text box on the page and the fact that it was new. As soon as the page is loaded you immediately know what it’s about, great positioning.
Make a research with AppFinder from the homepage to search an application that is relevant to your business. Do you get a significant list of results?
After I typed in my search needs I was blown away by the amount of results found in just on website. It was nice to see so many questions that would narrow down what I needs for my business needs.
Read a detailed analyst review on a CRM application https://www.getapp.com/evaluation-center/worketc-independent-analyst-review . Do you get the information needed to help with your choice?
Yes, yet again I was able to find what I needed all in one spot.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites like the Google Apps Marketplace?
I hadn’t much experience with google apps marketplace but I have to say your website is much more concise and has a cleaner feel to it.
Would you buy applications from a marketplace rather than directly from the vendor site? What value add would you expect to do so?
I would consider buying applications from a marketplace if I could feel secure that there was enough information about the apps and the company then that would be an added value to have a one stop shop for apps.
What would you find useful to manage all your web based applications from a single workspace? Single Sign On, Unified billing, User provisioning?
I would prefer both single sign on and unified billing.
Do you have any additional thoughts/comments?
When I tried to perform a search on your site it took a minute or two for my page to load. That was a little frustrating but you site kicked out a large amount of information. That really needs to be fixed as not to turn people away from such great sight. Also think about add search box so people can type in exactly what there looking for.
Visit https://www.GetApp.com/ Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? What is catching your attention?
The site is about catering to the needs of businesses of all different types and sizes. It is a marketplace that allows businesses to search for various apps to fit their needs. The new software app finder is what caught may attention the most. I was trying to glance over the entire site, and I kept going back to this search section. I was very intrigued that you could get a customized recommendation for the exact software needs of your business.
Make a research with AppFinder from the homepage to search an application that is relevant to your business. Do you get a significant list of results?
Yes the list gave lots of different applications that what relevant to what I was searching for. I was very surprised to find that the search results were so indepth. I really liked that each result had the average rating shown and then you could click to read user reviews. I am all about reading reviews, because I find that this is where you find the most truthful information.
Read a detailed analyst review on a CRM application https://www.getapp.com/evaluation-center/worketc-independent-analyst-review . Do you get the information needed to help with your choice?
Yes it gave me all the information I would need and more to help me make a choice. It listed the cost of $30 a month and languages which are spanish and english. It gave a background on the company and listed the information for the target market. It then went on to list the pricing model and product analysis. Like I stated this information is more then sufficent to help me make a choice in what is best for my business.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites like the Google Apps Marketplace ?
It is very similiar and surely comparable to thd service that Goggle Apps Marketplace offers. That being said, it is similar but not the same. I found your site to be more useful, because of the indepth analysis that is listed for each app. Google does do this also, but the details are not always that indepth. Sometimes it even leads to the need for a business owner to have to do additional research before making a decision. The reviews I read do not have a need for that on your site. This makes your site much more desirable in my eyes. Â
Would you buy applications from a marketplace rather than directly from the vendor site? What value add would you expect to do so?
Yes I would, but only if the reason to do so outweighed the reasons not to. For example if you got the application at a discount by buing it from a marketplace, or you were offered additional support or ensurance that you would get what you paid for by buying it on the marketplace then it would be worthwhile to do so. That being said, there are additional ways to make business owners want to purchase straight from the marketplace and not go to the vendor site. If there was an award program or a points system for doing so where you got discounts on other products or points that added up to get something in the future. This is incentive and even if its a slow adding system it makes people want to buy from that marketplace. I do see the advantage of buying straight from the marketplace, because it is your one stop shop for business apps. The issue is that maybe the vendor might an upgraded product similiar to what you are purchasing, or maybe there are additions to your app that you can add but you dont know about them unless you go to the vendor site. I think that if I were to buy straight from the marketplace I would end up researching the vendor site anyway. I am just like that, but not every business owner is.
What would you find useful to manage all your web based applications from a single workspace? Single Sign On, Unified billing, User provisioning?
As a business owner you have lots of things to take care of daily, weekly, and even monthly. Having all of your web based applications managed from a single workspace takes all the extra steps out of your routine. It saves you time and with saved time comes saved money. This is the biggest pro to buying all of your applications from a marketplace. You can pay all of the bills at once and you only have to log on to one site.
Do you have any additional thoughts/comments?
The only thing I would change would be the color scheme of the site. It is not very eye catching. The green in the Software AppFinder is very unappealing. It just seems that there is lots of white going on with very little of anything else, and when another major color does hit the page its not really that catchy. I just think with a better color scheme you could make people want to take a second or third look, before they even realizing they are doing so.
Visit https://www.GetApp.com/ Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? What is catching your attention?
When I first got to the website, I thought the site was about trying and buying business software applications. The green box at the top with that surrounds the “try the software appfinder” and the orange “give feedback” button in the bottom left corner of the page grabbed my attention. I like the colors, because it brings the attention to those important areas on the homepage of the website.
Make a research with AppFinder from the homepage to search an application that is relevant to your business. Do you get a significant list of results?
Yes, I received many more results than I expected. There were many things to choose from and make it easier to customize exactly what I needed. I was pleasantly surprised.
Read a detailed analyst review on a CRM application https://www.getapp.com/evaluation-center/worketc-independent-analyst-review . Do you get the information needed to help with your choice?
Yes, and I really liked how each part was explained separately to make it simpler to understand and be able to clearly focus on the product so as to make a good decision. Well done.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites like the Google Apps Marketplace ?
I have never used google apps, but I think if google apps is anything like your site, that it may have to work hard to be better. Your site was well created and has so many options available.
Would you buy applications from a marketplace rather than directly from the vendor site? What value add would you expect to do so?
I would purchase applications from a marketplace as long as I felt that I was not missing something by going straight to the vendor. The value would be that I would not have to search so hard to get my applications from several different vendors, and that I could just go to one place for everything I need.
What would you find useful to manage all your web based applications from a single workspace? Single Sign On, Unified billing, User provisioning?
I would appreciate all of those options, because it certainly would make things easier.
Do you have any additional thoughts/comments?
For visual appeal, I would probably change the black that’s at the top as the back drop. I would use something brighter like a blue or purple. I think it would give the site a better look, and keep it from being lost among other sites modeled similarly.

Visit https://www.GetApp.com/ Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? What is catching your attention?
This looks like a site helps business find software solutions to use relating to business. In my mind I immediately thought of phone apps. What caught my attention the most is the cleaver wording on the front page. It made we want to click for more information.
Make a research with AppFinder from the homepage to search an application that is relevant to your business. Do you get a significant list of results?
The page never loaded after waiting several minutes.

This is a very good idea for my company to explore! I particularity liked the customizable services and the ability to use a service and then discontinue that service.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites like the Google Apps Marketplace ?
Google Apps services were on clear on the front page regarding what they had to offer. Â Much more research was needed, and the comments that I read so far did not make me want to research any further.
Would you buy applications from a marketplace rather than directly from the vendor site? What value add would you expect to do so?
I seems like I would rather buy from a marketplace.
What would you find useful to manage all your web based applications from a single workspace? Single Sign On, Unified billing, User provisioning?
Managing all of our web based applications from a single workspace would streamline and make customer service and support much better overall.
Do you have any additional thoughts/comments?
This is definitely worth looking into, I have forwarded it to my employer. I just hope that the inability for the page to load for a list of recommended apps load.
Visit https://www.GetApp.com/Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? What is catching your attention?
What initially caught my attention was the color scheme. I believe this site is for business people to find good apps that they can benefit from.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites like the Google Apps Marketplace ?
Google Marketplace Apps is much easier to navigate through and much more efficient.
Do you have any additional thoughts/comments?
I think that this site needs to concentrate more on being easy to access. It does not load well and is a little on the slow side making me want to go straight to Google Market instead of wasting my time here.
Visit https://www.GetApp.com/ Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? What is catching your attention?
The first thing that caught my attention was the top of the page. The black background makes a statement and catches the eye. The next thing I noticed was the feedback button on bottom right corner.
From the looks at your site by just glancing at it, it appears that you are trying to shove a bunch of information and stuff on the home page instead of organizing the entire site.
Make a research with AppFinder from the homepage to search an application that is relevant to your business. Do you get a significant list of results?
I did not get a significant list of results. I got 5 results and none of the results seemed appealing or something I would use.
Read a detailed analyst review on a CRM application https://www.getapp.com/evaluation-center/worketc-independent-analyst-review . Do you get the information needed to help with your choice?
Yes, the information given was more than enough. The break down that is used is great and is easy to understand and follow.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites like the Google Apps Marketplace ?
I think if the name gets out there it would be comparable to Google Apps. It seems pretty easy to use and navigate. However, I do think there is a lot of information that is not needed on the home page.
Would you buy applications from a marketplace rather than directly from the vendor site? What value add would you expect to do so?
I wouldn’t be opposed to buying an app from a site other than the vendor site. I think if the value is reasonable I would download it from a marketplace.
What would you find useful to manage all your web based applications from a single workspace? Single Sign On, Unified billing, User provisioning?
I think being able to have everyone in one app or program would make having a business easier.
Do you have any additional thoughts/comments?
I noticed that you have a Q&A section but it isn’t easy to find. I think that you need the Q&A section where people are going to notice is as well as an about us section. I believe those sections are two of the most important sections you can have.
Visit https://www.GetApp.com/ Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? What is catching your attention? This site will not load. I don’t believe that it is my computer speed or internet connection. I’m sorry I cannot get into the site to review.
Visit https://www.GetApp.com/ Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? What is catching your attention? This site took forever to load but once loaded I was able to quickly determine what the site is about. The site allows consumers to search or browse business software applications from various companies and purchase them. I think that the site is very appealing. I like the color choices and organization of the home page.
Make a research with AppFinder from the homepage to search an application that is relevant to your business. Do you get a significant list of results? I put in search criteria from the homepage and then another page came up with more search criteria. It would have been nice for the site to just dive right in and give it all to me and allow me to browse and sort further only if I chose to. I chose a application need and hit Find It without providing my information. The list loaded without my having to put my personal information in; which is great! I like to see completely what sites offer before giving my details. I received lots of results!
Read a detailed analyst review on a CRM application https://www.getapp.com/evaluation-center/worketc-independent-analyst-review . Do you get the information needed to help with your choice? The review is very detailed and is definitely helpful.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites like the Google Apps Marketplace ? I think that this is much better than similar sites. The organization and reviews set this site apart from others. This site is very detailed and offer so much information; not overwhelming, but very thorough.
Would you buy applications from a marketplace rather than directly from the vendor site? What value add would you expect to do so? I prefer to buy directly from a vendor site, but having so many applications in one place is very valuable to a consumer. I would consider purchasing from a marketplace if it provided a cheaper price or free upgrades.Â
What would you find useful to manage all your web based applications from a single workspace? Single Sign On, Unified billing, User provisioning? Having single sign on and unified billing would be awesome. I believe that would definitely make me want to buy from a marketplace instead of the direct vendor.
Do you have any additional thoughts/comments?
The site is great and if the owner decides to offer unified billing and single sign on, I would definitely join.

When i saw the title find business software & services i know the site is providing useful software informations for different type of business. The title GetApp make a clear tot that i can get some apps from this site. The search App Finder is the one catch my interest. I can have a search directly when i first go into the site.
Make a research with AppFinder from the homepage to search an application that is relevant to your business. Do you get a significant list of results?
Definitely, Â the list of apps you provide is lots, and when i click on the show more software criteria it provide more detailed software. The list you provide is very interesting and useful.
Read a detailed analyst review on a CRM applicationhttps://www.getapp.com/evaluation-center/worketc-independent-analyst-review. Do you get the information needed to help with your choice?
Absolutely, the detail is VERY clear, with the price, background, target market, pricing model, product analysis, technical specification and even competitive landscape. It’s very detailed and it give confidence to me toward the system. It give a sense that you are taking serious about this. It’s not just giving a simple information just to sell the system. With the figure, i can know that does it look like. It’s a great information provided. The information also can let me know clearly weather the system suit my business or not.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites like the Google Apps Marketplace ?
I never use google apps marketplace, but in my opinion, a good site a about the information you provide in the site and the site is simple to let people know what your site is about. It’s not like a complicated styled site. People like a simple site which can let people easy to use all ur features. Like your apps finder, i can directly use it once i navigated to ur site. Your site is simple and looks professional. The site also have the recent apps feature, most popular apps and the updated one. It’s in ur main page, so it’s easy to let people found what they look for directly and faster.
Would you buy applications from a marketplace rather than directly from the vendor site? What value add would you expect to do so?
After viewing your site, i would have some interest in buying a apps in marketplace. But first,ur offer must be good than vendor, ucan add some promotion or special gift. Make people feel that buying from marketplace is better than buying from vendors. Second which is most important is u must make ur customer feel secure buying apps from ur site. The payment process, security about customer information. all the process should convenient to the customer and also it’s not complicated with the payment process.
What would you find useful to manage all your web based applications from a single workspace? Single Sign On, Unified billing, User provisioning?
Single sign on and unified billing will be good. The fastest and simplest ways for clients n ur convenient is the most important.
Do you have any additional thoughts/comments?
The information u provide is good enough, but it’s not that attractive. You must make people feel that they want to register for the site. You might can add the register button bigger and add some special offer that u have. Show it on the main page. Product quality is important and marketing also important. Balance these two. Your apps and service is good. U should market more and let people feel that it’s worth to do business with u with the offer u give.
Hope this can help in ur success.
Visit https://www.GetApp.com/ Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? What is catching your attention?
Honestly, with all the use of the term app, I thought this would be somewhere that markets apps for mobile devices. I want to just point out, the term “app” has become synonymous with mobile devices; if you don’t want people asking if you carry iPad business apps, you may want to consider not using the phrase app.
The other thing that caught my attention (as a developer), is the over-abundance of floating page elements. You have a Joomla!-style floating top navigation bar, floating tabs without a frame/box to fit the tabs in, and a floating “give feedback” button on the right hand of the site. I’m not a proponent of tabbed navigation (which you’re using all over) to begin with, and I’m very hesitant of its use on this page. I’d consider instead using a flash/jquery/javascript slidebox with hoverover effect. I am struck by the lack of images or non-lingual content, so this could help break up the text flow.
Make a research with AppFinder from the homepage to search an application that is relevant to your business. Do you get a significant list of results?
To be hosest, I’m not crazy about the “search by industry”. As a small biz tech/network consultant, I already have a set of tools for “my industry”. I’d rather have a solution-based search, based on an “I want to…” style organization.
Now, for your actual search results. I just checked your “customized search” tool. As another business owner, I see that you’re trying to use this as a tool for harvesting semi-qualified leads. However, I think that you should specify from the inbox that customers will not actually see what they’re looking for on your web site. And, again, my organization/industry is not always indicative of what software solutions I need. For example, I might be in an educational institution, but I might need an SAP solution normally marketed for accounting, because I might be in an accounting department of an educational institution. Again, focus on solution, not industry.
Read a detailed analyst review on a CRM application https://www.getapp.com/evaluation-center/worketc-independent-analyst-review . Do you get the information needed to help with your choice?
I did get all of the information needed to make my choice; however, I chose Sugar, vTiger, and OFBiz in all of the small biz rollouts I’ve done because the information is concise and visually appealing. The features, pros/cons, and a bit of the licensing cost should be bullet-point summarized for any products. As well, text and images need to be broken up; the text should wrap around the image, and would ideally be captioned (either onpage or through a meta-title element).
Also, why is there no call to action throughout the review? There should be call-outs, throughout the review, with messages like “Call us @ xxx-xxx-xxxx to learn how WORKetc can WORK for your small/medium business”, or “Click to view full features, pricing, and more”. Not everyone is going to read the entire article, and most people will not scroll to the top or bottom again without a specific call to action.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites like the Google Apps Marketplace ?
I never used the Google App Marketplace; I have never been a cloud-widget-hosted service customer. However, the visual theme, logo, and “floating” top navigation bar remind me more of Hulu than a business-oriented solutions provider. Where are the whitepages? Where is the offer for you, as the intelligent business operators, to help potential customers choose the software they need? Where is your contact information? Companies like Download/cNet, Google, etc can get away with being “faceless” because they have things like thousands of content providers, the best exclusive developers, bloggers, videos, etc, etc, etc. You don’t have this benefit, therefore, you need to sell yourself as you try to sell other people’s software.
Would you buy applications from a marketplace rather than directly from the vendor site? What value add would you expect to do so?
Again, if I were to buy directly from a company like this, I would expect the company to have done a thorough and objective review, presented it concisely, prepared some multi-media “pitch” or “non-pitch” behind it, and would help match that software to the solution it provides. That vendor would advertise that they are available RIGHT NOW via phone or chat if I have a question, and that reseller would establish themselves as an authority.
What would you find useful to manage all your web based applications from a single workspace? Single Sign On, Unified billing, User provisioning?
User provisioning, download history, re-download, submit troubleshooting tickets, contact vendor, write a review, share with other licensed users, purchase history, license information. Ideally, you could create a “network” of smb and enterprise users, who would help match software packages with specific solutions, write reviews, and generate content for your site.
Do you have any additional thoughts/comments?
Frankly, I don’t find this page visually appealing. The black/green/grey leads to a website where nothing stands out. Again, the text-content/multimedia-content ratio is too high: there is simply too much text on the page, and the way it’s column-formatted or forces a line break for images makes the page content read like a testimonial. Frankly, I would turn the “shop by industry” selling point to a “selling by solution” tab as mentioned near the top of the review, changing the tabbed navigation to side-tab or sidebar navigation using Java for rollover effects, and then changing the menu-style click-driven navigation to CSS-driven fly-out. Also, your certificate authority and certifications need to be somewhere on your front page!
From a web development standpoint, why is there so much in-line CSS? Why is your site not using gZip? Why do you have multiple Google Verification metatags? This site took over 10 seconds to load on my minimal-graphics browser, using an extremely stripped down verison of Ubuntu, and you have no multimedia aspect to the site. GZip is very easy to use and speeds things up considerably.
There is no way to contact you or learn anything about your site from the home page. If you are essentially software vending/consulting, why can’t I get ahold of you? Is this a lack of market knowledge, availability, or the lack of will to interact with your customers? A Skype, LiveZilla, or Google Talk widget would do wonders!
I meant to say, in the 2nd question, customers should either be given their search results onsite or be told from the call to action that they will ONLY receive what they’re looking for via email.
Visit https://www.GetApp.com/ Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? What is catching your attention?
I think the site is about applications that assist business owners. What catches my attention is the tab that says “newto” – it seems like it would be an explanation of what the site is about and what to do/how to use it.
Make a research with AppFinder from the homepage to search an application that is relevant to your business. Do you get a significant list of results?
I searched for “inventory” and got nine pages of results which was very good.
Read a detailed analyst review on a CRM application https://www.getapp.com/evaluation-center/worketc-independent-analyst-review . Do you get the information needed to help with your choice?
Was the analyst review the description under the software name? It wasn’t really labeled review. Anyways, I think this information is a good quick overview One thing that might help in the description is the price? Number of downloads might help too.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites like the Google Apps Marketplace ?
I had not previously used the marketplace but I like the whole layout of their page. I think it is easier to navigate because you don’t have to scroll down as much and it’s also easier to read as only the basic text is displayed- no description.
Would you buy applications from a marketplace rather than directly from the vendor site? What value add would you expect to do so?
I rarely buy applications in either case, I try to use free alternatives. That being said I do not own my own business and only do sales online every now and then so I don’t need many tools but the free ones. A percentage off of the price or discounts based on how many softwares you have bought – i.e. $2 or so off for every title purchased would seem like a good value. Also promotional awards for referring users that make purchases, like a percentage of their first purchase or a set dollar amount.
What would you find useful to manage all your web based applications from a single workspace? Single Sign On, Unified billing, User provisioning?
Single sign on would be nice and also an option to download updates, etc. when available. Unified billing would be good as well, especially if it would be a monthly or one time purchase fee and you had the option of paying the monthly fee all at once for x amount of months.
Do you have any additional thoughts/comments?
Interesting start up, it seems that the analyses and evaluations of popular apps as well as the guide would be helpful. One thing that might generate sales is having a quiz that includes the functions of a users business, and from there make a check list that matches them with apps that would fulfill their needs.

Visit https://www.GetApp.com/ Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? What is catching your attention? Well, I am sorry to say, but to just look at the website for a quick 5-10 seconds, nothing on the website stands out to me or even wants me to keep looking at the site. There are 2 reasons for this. the first is that the colors are kind of bland. I have noticed in writing these reviews that the websites that I believe are eye catching are the websites that are relatively simple, but with one “bold” color. By this I mean, the contrast of white with red, or black and white with pops of hot pink. I know that it sounds stupid because some people are going to want to look at the website just because they know what it is about, but not having gone over the details of the website yet, I am not interested at all in the look of the home page visually. The second thing that I have a problem with is that there is SOOOOO much on your homepage. From looking at your site for the first 5-10 seconds, I definitely know what the website it about, which is a very good thing. Sometimes when I do these reviews, I have NO idea what the website is even about, so thumbs up to you for that one, but why is there so much on the homepage? A homepage is supposed to be the eye catcher, simple buttons to click and lists that take you where you need to go. Keep the tabs, but don’t have all the apps and the explanation of them right on your home page. It is taking away from the look of the page. Who wants to scroll down so much to get to all the tabs and where they need to be. Have it in lists or bullets that you can highlight. Open up to other pages giving the description of the featured apps, most popular, recently updated, etc. Not impressed at all with ALL of the paragraphs and descriptions directly when I get onto your web site.
Make a research with AppFinder from the homepage to search an application that is relevant to your business. Do you get a significant list of results? OMG yes!!! I have to say even though the web site was not visually stimulating at first, this website it amazing!!!! By far one of the best app websites I have looked at. I LOVE the customized feature. Here are the things that I think that you have going for you in the positive on finding apps. First of all the locations. Apps for everywhere in the world from one web site at the click of a button. Business owners can manage their companies all over the world with unified business applications. Appealing to markets all over the world is a def plus in your favor. Also, the vast array of businesses to choose from. You have covered all the areas with no short changing.  This is very useful for many people, from corporations to you mom and pop businesses. Also on the plus, linked with facebook, twitter, etc. I think that is where people are seeing they need to be. I wrote a review about another website yesterday. One of the things that appealed to me the most is that the website can be linked to my facebook. Though I understand this is a totally different concept, many businesses these days are finding that the social market is the best way of advertising, and when people see those logos on a website that they are considering buying something from, I have found it is a plus! Honestly, I would like to tell you that there is something wrong with the app finder (because I know that this review is supposed to be a critique as well) but I didn’t find anything wrong with it. It is easy, click and point, perfect! I wouldn’t change a thing.
Read a detailed analyst review on a CRM application https://www.getapp.com/evaluation-center/worketc-independent-analyst-review . Do you get the information needed to help with your choice? Wow, and again I find this to be genius. I have to say, based on the initial view of the website, I am pleasantly surprised at all information that is given on this website. I love the review. I read more than the one above, and they are perfect. Not only do you give a brief over and the price, you give the target market, a fairly detailed explanation of what the app is about, down to the strengths of the application. You leave nothing as a surprise for the buyer, and makes someone want to get the application that much more. So, yes, I definitely think that you get all the information that you need to make a very well informed decision of the application that you would like to proceed with.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites like the Google Apps Marketplace ? One thing that I like about their website is that they have the customer reviews about the apps. I think that I like that they put it right on the homepage of their website. I know that you have the tab for popular apps, but I think that it looks more appealing to the eye to have it off to the side with the customer reviews right underneath. I understand that some of you apps may not have that many if any reviews, but that is only because you are just getting started. When people discover this website, they will see that you can get just as much here if not more than anywhere else that they go. As far information is concerned, I think that your website appeals to more types of business’ and owners than google apps does. One thing that I think that I like a little better than google though is that they have the services right on the marketplace homepage ex. calendar and scheduling, project management, sales and marketing, etc. I know that you have these things on your web site, but they are not marketing on your webpage. No, i’m not saying design your webpage like them, because honestly, I think that their web page is a little bland too, but they do have some things that catch your eye right when you look on the page such as topics and reviews are concerned. What I LOVE about your website that I didn’t find on google as easily as yours is that you have a specific button to view all the apps for your phone. That is GREAT!!! There are so many people that use their phone for everything, and it’s great that you offer that from one of the first buttons that I clicked. That DEFINITELY appeals to buyers, I would think over google just for that reason. KUDOS for that one!
Would you buy applications from a marketplace rather than directly from the vendor site? What value add would you expect to do so? Yes, I think that it is a good idea to purchase your apps right from the marketplace as well. You get the chance to look over a vast variety of applications as opposed to a vendor site. You get to compare, read reviews, overviews, etc. I have found that using the marketplace for all your needs is ALWAYS better than going to the vendor itself. You get better, more precise information about the things you are buying as opposed to a vendor that is only promoting limited services. It is a much better idea and from being an internet shopper myself, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
What would you find useful to manage all your web based applications from a single workspace? Single Sign On, Unified billing, User provisioning? I think that those three things are very important when having a single workspace. For a couple of different reasons. Having one sign on gives you the ability to know that you are working on one space and things are getting done. It usually gives people the ability to view the progress of things that are going on, what is happening, etc. One bill is ALWAYS better than 10. Why have more than you need to have. User provision is unfortunately something that you have to have with any business these days. It is a shame that people can’t be trusted, but there are some shady things going on in this world, from unauthorized purchases all the way down to inappropriate work conversation. Why not have it all unified and supervised. The last thing that I think that was not mentioned is just the consistency. Why change things? have different types of applications for different things? Look on here, find one things that work, because let’s face it, with this website you WILL find it, and go with that because it is the same. That is where everyone is messing up these days. People are looking for something that is always bigger and better and straying away from the things that work. Research, read the overview, pricing, etc, and find what works. This website provides the ability to be able to do that!
Do you have any additional thoughts/comments? in conclusion, I hope that I helped you out a little bit. Overall, I think that this is a GREAT website. I think that you need some help with the layout and design of the website. The appeal to the user, but the information on the web site it wonderful. I wouldn’t change a thing as far as that is concerned. Some contrasting colors, a little less busy home page, some different tabs, but that is just visual and might add some simplicity. It doesn’t change the fact that this website is a really good one that I would def. consider using.
Visit https://www.GetApp.com/ Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? What is catching your attention?
The site is about providing customized recommendations for software for businesses. What caught my attention is the green box at the top of the page which states AppFinder.
Make a research with AppFinder from the homepage to search an application that is relevant to your business. Do you get a significant list of results?
Yes I got a significant list of results. It was easy to do and easy to understand. The list provided is very useful for my business.
Read a detailed analyst review on a CRM application https://www.getapp.com/evaluation-center/worketc-independent-analyst-review . Do you get the information needed to help with your choice?
The review is very informative and very useful for businesses. I really like that it provides “background”, “target market”, etc. I feel thats very important.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites like the Google Apps Marketplace ?
I looked at similar sites and I feel your site is more informative and is easier to use and navigate.
Would you buy applications from a marketplace rather than directly from the vendor site? What value add would you expect to do so?
I have always bought from vendor sites. I would much rather buy from a marketplace. Vendor sites are harder to understand and navigate. I would check into the marketplace and make sure it can provide me with what I am looking for.
What would you find useful to manage all your web based applications from a single workspace? Single Sign On, Unified billing, User provisioning?
All that you have mentioned are very important. A single sign on would be nice and useful.Â
Do you have any additional thoughts/comments?
Overall, I think the site looks professional. It is easy to understand and easy to navigate. The “register” is very simple and the steps are easy to do. I do have a few suggestions.
The “Contact” link is good but there is no phone number. When it comes to providing apps, I think it’s important to have a contact number. I notice that you only provide people with contact phone numbers if they download “SkyPe”. I am not exactly sure why that is. I think a phone number should be provided to everyone.
I think it would be helpful if you had either “Feedback” or “Testimonies” from people who have used your service. It is helpful to see what others are saying when debating or using a product or service.Â
Visit https://www.GetApp.com/ Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? What is catching your attention?
I prefer not to have vendor advertisements hit me as I first view the home page – move those to the center or keep them all off to the side. Provide a clear, if even brief, recognition of what the GetApp site offers.
Â
Make a research with AppFinder from the homepage to search an application that is relevant to your business. Do you get a significant list of results?
The AppFinder was not currently easy to use. The page layout appears to be offset. You can select from the drop downs but there is no button to “search†as it appears to be hidden, there is a big advertisement blocking the rest of the search field. I was able to click off to the left side and get the AppFinder to come up. I performed several searches and found a significant number of results.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites like the Google Apps Marketplace?
Again, Google Apps Marketplace design is simple and informative.
Â
Would you buy applications from a marketplace rather than directly from the vendor site? What value add would you expect to do so?
I refer to marketplaces and review sites so that I can make a decision based on what other customers have experienced and recommend.
Â
What would you find useful to manage all your web based applications from a single workspace? Single Sign On, Unified billing, User provisioning?
Those tools make for better customer satisfaction as they allow for more simplified interaction.
Â
Do you have any additional thoughts/comments?
(All comments are based on using IE8)
I like the site. Along with the home page, the Top20, Evaluation Center page layouts need to be adjusted. The top menu or header section is covering links and other details.
