About GiftBait:
Traditional gift registries and wish lists for events such as weddings, bridal showers, etc. assume that everyone can afford the gifts on the list. This isn’t always the case and many guests resent the fact that they are being told what to get with no consideration for their own budget.
GiftBait turns this around by allowing friends to suggest gifts anonymously and for the event host to pick the gifts they’d like to receive. This way, friends can suggest only those gifts they can afford or would like to give and the host gets to choose from a list of gifts. Plus, GiftBait keeps friends’ identities a secret, so the host never finds out who made the gift suggestion.

I think this site is about giving and receiving gifts. At the moment I don’t know how your website makes it more “fun.”
Take the TOUR on the homepage. Do you understand the idea / concept behind the service? Would you use such a service?
Well, it says your friends decide which gifts to get you. Do you put up a list of things you want like a registry, or is it all up to your friends?
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site. What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
Your website seems pretty basic. I need more of an explanation of how your website and the process works.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
I think you should consider integrating the Amazon Wish List into your website and allowing users to sign in with their Amazon account.
It appears that you have to sign up to learn how your site works. However, I do not want to sign up for something only to find out it is a dud. I think many people would agree with this. Your homepage should explain why we need your service and why we should sign up for it. I don’t believe your homepage does this effectively.
I see two main things (other than your links). I can sign up or I can search for an event. You need an explanation of how your site works.
•Visit https://www.giftbait.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? I honestly have no idea, in 5-10 seconds of viewing I’m actually kind of confused about the concept of the site.
•Take the TOUR on the homepage. Do you understand the idea / concept behind the service? Would you use such a service?: Well, I kind of understand the concept though I’m still very confused. There’s not enough information for me to really understand what your site is about. and currently, no, I couldn’t see myself using this Website.
•Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site. What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I really don’t like that there’s barley any information on your homepage. This is the first page anyone will see, you need information that’s going to drawl me in rather than confuse me and make me want to close it. I suggest moving information from your “About” page to your homepage. I do, however, like the little icons you used (fast, fair, and fun) they’re quite cute. Your contact page is simple and easy to use, I like that. I also like the layout of all the pages on your site. They’re clean, not cluttered.
•What do you think about the site’s design and user interface? Is it attractive or does it take away from the site?
I’ll be honest, when I first went to the site and saw the homepage I didn’t quite like it. However, once I started viewing your actual site I quite enjoy it. For example, I like the “about” page. I like the way the orange color of the site go with the tan of the tables. The color pallet of the site makes me think of “energized” very nicely done. It’s clean and fresh, not too cluttered. Once again, I really do like the layout of the pages.
•Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why? Honestly? No, I wouldn’t use it. It doesn’t make sense to me, why would I tell someone what to get me anyway? I also don’t tell my friends/family how much to spend on a gift for me. This site reminds me of the old picture rating site “Hot or Not” but with, I suppose, gifts instead of people. The information you provide doesn’t interest me enough to want to use it.
•What do you think about the pricing and plans? Would you pay for such a service after using up the “1 free event credit†that comes with a new account? If not, why? The pricing doesn’t seem too bad to me, however, as I already said, I wouldn’t use this site so I honestly can’t comment on the pricing plan.
•Would you be inclined to tell your friends about this site?: Probably not. (for above reasons)
•Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.: Your Website is cute, and the concept is interesting. However, I feel you need to work on a few things. You need to give better information about your site, leaving your site I still feel confused about it. You need to re-word this in a way that’ll make me feel like I need it, not “why would I use this in the first place?”
Visit https://www.giftbait.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
Basically, I think the whole idea of the site is the giving and receiving of gifts.
Take the TOUR on the homepage. Do you understand the idea / concept behind the service? Would you use such a service?
Honestly, at this point I can’t really understand the idea of your homepage. It’s really funny because I was drawn to your website when I saw the pretty orange color, and I really loved the sites design, but in terms of content, you really failed on that one.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site. What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
Your site can’t easily be navigated and is not user friendly. But what really bothers me is the fact that your friends are the ones deciding what gift to give you, and still they won’t reveal to you who those friends are. What’s the fun in that? I guess, the only thing that I love about your site is the pretty orange color.
What do you think about the site’s design and user interface? Is it attractive or does it take away from the site?
As I have said, the only thing I like about the site’s design is the pretty orange color, I was really drawn to your site because of that but with regards to the user interface, it’s not that inviting, it’s confusing really and it’s not what I expected. I am expecting something more creative, like show some gift samples that are really fun and enjoyable to look at. It’s really sad to say this but, I find your site really DULL and BORING.
Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
Honestly no, because I really don’t have any idea what i’m getting into.
What do you think about the pricing and plans? Would you pay for such a service after using up the “1 free event credit†that comes with a new account? If not, why?
I don’t really care actually about the price although it seems a little bit fair to me. I won’t be visiting your site in the near future, so i couldn’t really care about your prices.
Would you be inclined to tell your friends about this site?
Not really, because of the above mentioned reasons.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
Your website is cute, the idea seemed interesting at first. But you have to make your site a little bit more user friendly, don’t be scared to explain and elaborate, try to put yourself in the viewers place, what do you think is the best way for us to understand what your trying to make us understand. Â Because, honestly I did not get it so what do you think of the others who would visit your site? Try to think about that.
