1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does “Twitter-like” box (intended to provide shortcuts to benefits/features) helps you? If not, why?

2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing? Will a site-tour help? Is your first experience motivate you to use the service again? If not, what are your suggestions?

3) Are you encouraged to login to the DEMO, create an idea, mockup, comment on, convert the idea to a goal? Can you tell us why (or why not)? How can we improve upon the intended FLOW? Do you able to connect to the promise made to the landing page – “From ideation to execution, a single platform to engage your team”? If not, how we can make the connection? (any suggestion)

4) What other alternatives you can think about that gives you an integrated solution to ideate, iterate, design mockup, get feedbacks (client and internal) and finally take the idea as a goal/project to its execution? If No integrated solution is available, what combination of existing services we would seek to achieve this?

  1. 1)The initial impression of the website, even though still in beta/construction, is lower end/spam like. It could use a redesign in the sense of making it flow better together than the more technical layout that it holds.

2)I found the links work fairly quick and direct you to where you need to go, that’s going to minimize heart ache of getting lost and confused on the site.

3)All the tools in the demo seem pretty straight forward and easy to use if you have prior experience in any/most programs for example Microsoft programs or default programs on computers or websites.

    4) Maybe add a system that notifies by email, when a breakthrough or milestone is hit, to allow everyone to stay on the same page if actually enthused in the project.

    5) The Idea is sound and likable in my honest opinion. Many people could help each other move their ideas forward or helping your group organize themselves toward a goal. The badges are a good idea and motivate outside of the real rewards that are optional such as in an example, movie ticket coupons.

  2. 1. My first impression is that this is group collaboration/project management software for businesses. Unfortunately, the slideshow slides are flashing by so quickly that I really can’t take them in. It almost hurts my eyes. I wish you just had arrows to click through the slides rather than this automated rotation.

It took me a few minutes to realize I had to scroll down to view the rest of the home page. I think it would be best to reserve these screenshots and FAQs for separate pages of their own instead of trying to tack them onto a long home page.

I’m not sure what “‘Twitter-like’ box” you’re referring to. Do you mean the various demo buttons? Yes, they encourage me to view the demo because of their prominent placement.

    2. I decided to look for your rates. I thought they might be under “FAQs,” but I didn’t see them there. So I clicked “Tour” but also didn’t see any pricing info. That wasn’t confusing, but it was discouraging. I always like to know how much I’m expected to pay for something right upfront. I’m not sure that a site tour for this would help as much as a pricing page. 😉 If I was looking for this kind of software, I might visit again but only because it has some unusual features that I don’t normally see in software of this variety. (More on this later.)

    3. I really don’t like that I have to have a Gmail or LinkedIn account to try your demo. Not everyone uses Gmail or LinkedIn or wants to give a business they know next to nothing about that kind of personally identifiable information. I created an account just to do this review. I wouldn’t have tried the demo otherwise.

I started with the GoAchiev Walk-through but was disappointed that while it explained what I could do with GoAchiev, it didn’t explain how to do those things. I was hoping for more of a tutorial rather than a tour, per se. Luckily, you have an intuitive navbar at the top that made it easy enough for me to perform the tasks you requested. I was able to create an idea with mock-up and convert it to a goal without problems. I also added a task for myself and started a conversation. However, I ran into some trouble trying to post comments. Even when I clicked “post,” nothing happened. My comments didn’t show up on either my own idea or other people’s ideas.

I think the flow is pretty good as it is, but I wish there was an actual tutorial, preferably with a video, or at least pop-up bubbles throughout the site. And my inability to leave comments is troubling.

I think your demo fulfills the promise on your home page, but somehow I got the impression that your SaaS was going to be a lot more sophisticated than it is, more of a feature-rich project management program than a quick, easy way for employees to brainstorm. This doesn’t mean what you’re offering doesn’t have value, but I think its very simplicity needs to be emphasized more on the home page. That can be a selling point for you, but as it is now, it becomes a bit of a letdown to realize that GoAchiev does so little.

    4. Right now, the group collaboration SaaS is very hot. There’s a lot of software out there to assist employee teams and their managers. Even right here on StartUpLift, I’ve seen any number of such programs. They often include a way for employees to post group announcements, shared documents, and so on. However, a lot of that software is very bulky, containing all kinds of features that may or may not be useful to any individual business. Yours is the first SaaS I’ve seen that focuses specifically on brainstorming, facilitating the spread of new ideas and progress toward them. I like that about it. It’s a refreshing alternative to the bulky stuff!

    5. Here’s my bottom-line opinion:

You have an interesting, potentially useful SaaS here, but your home page doesn’t sell it well. To start with, it’s too long. The “Tour” and the “FAQ,” which are listed as separate tabs in the navbar, need their own separate pages. That leaves your tagline, selling points and buttons on the left, and the slideshow on the right. As far as the tagline goes, I’d shorten “ideation” to “idea,” but otherwise it reads well. The buttons are placed in a good position to attract attention, but the selling points above them are vague, and the slideshow of screenshots flashes by way too quickly to take anything in. I’d suggest replacing the vague selling points with something more concrete like “GoAchiev lets your team: Brainstorm, Vote up ideas, Assign and modify tasks, Track progress toward goals…” And so on and so forth. I’d also replace the current slideshow of screenshots with a cute video tour showing how GoAchiev can help businesses or, at the least, the same thing in a (much more moderately paced) slideshow format. The idea here is to make the intro video or slideshow a marketing tool and explain how GoAchiev can help workers, not just show pretty screenshots.

In addition, your site is not complete as is. It needs pricing information, preferably on its own page, and some kind of “About Us” page, especially if you intend to charge for your app.

As for the demo, I think anyone should be able to sign up for it, not just those with Gmail or LinkedIn accounts. Personally, I found the walk-through fairly useless. At this stage, people have already read about the features and want to know how to actually use the software. You’d be better off with an instructional video or something similar. I did find GoAchiev easy to use (except when I was trying to comment), but it was a much lighter app than what I’d been anticipating from too much experience with big office productivity software suites. I think your software serves a very specific need without all the extraneous junk that some of your competitors offer, so I think you should play that up on your web site. Emphasize what a simple, fast, intuitive process this is and how its primary purpose is to foster brainstorming for new ideas and implementation of the best ones. If you can highlight these selling points on your home page, I think you’ll more effectively target the users who are interested in an app like this. Good luck!

  3. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does “Twitter-like” box (intended to provide shortcuts to benefits/features) helps you? If not, why?

    – My first Impression was that the website is intended for people working a project with a team and I got that Idea because of the big Header ‘From Ideation to Execution, a single platform to engage your team’ you made a good job on this part.Your slider moves so fast I can’t read what’s on the images. About the Twitter-like box, Yes it helps yet I wasn’t able to see it write away.

     2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing? Will a site-tour help? Is your first experience motivate you to use the service again? If not, what are your suggestions?

    – I want to see the price but sad to say that I didn’t see it anywhere in the page 🙁 the tour didn’t help me what I suggest is put a page plans and pricing because some people are making their decision by seeing the price of a service or product.Because of a lot question running in my mind like the pricing while in your page I would honestly say not for now.

    – Honestly I wasn’t encouraged at all because it ask me some personal information just by watching your DEMO and it’s the reason why I have hesitation on giving it. what I suggest is to  put the Demo on the landing page because among all, it’s been proven that video on the landing page increase the conversion rate of a website and the fact that video really speaks louder than those images you put in your landing page is enough reason to put the DEMO on the very top of your landing page :). The Tagline was very understandable you made a good job on it

     4) What other alternatives you can think about that gives you an integrated solution to ideate, iterate, design mockup, get feedbacks (client and internal) and finally take the idea as a goal/project to its execution? If No integrated solution is available, what combination of existing services we would seek to achieve this?

    – I really don’t have an Idea on what would the best thing for you but I’ll tell you that from the very first time I realize what is your website all about, my mind is already comparing it to basecamp and do.com. you better look for it to get some ideas on how are you going to improve yours.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

    – your page is long you better make your back to top button more obvious because I wasn’t able to notice it. add more content that explain well your product and put the video on your landing page and if you can, Offer free trial to your clients. that’s all good luck buddy.

    1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does “Twitter-like” box (intended to provide shortcuts to benefits/features) helps you? If not, why?
-The Twitter box is blocking some text in the first section on the webpage but when scrolling down the formatting looks correct.
-Without clicking any links it seems like an app / program / project management software to motivate or encourage employee/staff to work towards a goal.  A “achievement” is gained for top “players” of the company such as video games do.
    –  The twitter box does not encourage me to add this user to my twitter.  If I wanted to add them I would be likely just find the twitter username at the bottom of the page.  To get me thinking of your twitter maybe have your last tweet somewhere on the front page.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing? Will a site-tour help? Is your first experience motivate you to use the service again? If not, what are your suggestions?

    – I was looking for any information for “pricing”.  I am not aware if this is a free service or a paid service.  I looked in the FAQ and found nothing.
    –  I tried to try via google but that just hung up the page.
    –  I tried to find where I could find more information such as a form to fill in my email and name.  None was found.  I did find the contact information.
    –  A site tour would help very much.  Front and center on the homepage it would be nice to have a short 20-60 second clip about the company and what you offer.
    –  I am not very motivated to use the service again.  I am still a bit confused on what the company actually does.
    –  A live tour would really help out.  A quick clean video showing your product in use would increase the probability of me trying service or using service again.

-I can kind of see to try the demo but it is covered up by the Twitter button.  (Using Chrome and Windows 7).
    –  Site does not really make want to create an idea, mockup, comment on or convert the idea to a goal.  There is just too much going on.  It is almost to much info to take in at once.  A tour of the product would be much better.  The product looks nice after taking it all in, but if I just looked at all the stuff fast I wouldn’t really get it to fast.
    –  I think the flow would be better in a slideshow or video format
    –  I can see where the connection between the promises made and the service offered.  You could maybe add “From ideation to execution, a single platform to engage and motivate your team”
    4) What other alternatives you can think about that gives you an integrated solution to ideate, iterate, design mockup, get feedbacks (client and internal) and finally take the idea as a goal/project to its execution? There are things such as spiceworks that takes some of your ideas and executes them.  It is good for the project management side of this product.
I think a format such as reddit.com / digg.com where “users” upvote / downvote ideas, mockups and comments could be very useful to a product like this.  It would be very handy in a very large company such as Best Buy.
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

-Change formatting or get rid of Twitter Button.
     -  “From ideation to execution, a single platform to engage your team” Stands out on the front page.  Not in a good way.  It looks very stock / “paint”ish.  Does not look very professional.
    –  Say if it is a free or paid service.

I like the simplicity of the site, but I´m quite distracted about the color combination from the company logo, to the beta logo, the twitter side button  and the feed back and suggestion button, seems like the chemistry of the colors within the home page is not that good enough to give the site a professional look. The  “Twitter-like” box is very helpful indeed but honestly it is distracting.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing? Will a site-tour help? Is your first experience motivate you to use the service again? If not, what are your suggestions?

A login form which enables me to login using my gmail account without redirecting me to the login page of google (https://accounts.google.com) and same idea with a login form using my LinkedIn. Starting tours and everything within the site seems to be focused on intermediate end-users which is a big disadvantage on catering all types of end-users.
    3) Are you encouraged to login to the DEMO, create an idea, mockup, comment on, convert the idea to a goal? Can you tell us why (or why not)? How can we improve upon the intended FLOW? NO, i prefer using having video as a preview for the process of using this system, without it users are blinded on what the site is offering, specially when you have a slideshow which automatically changes its page after 5 secs and leaving the end-users to wait till for the next image since there is no button to choose the slide they wanted to view.
    4) What other alternatives you can think about that gives you an integrated solution to ideate, iterate, design mockup, get feedbacks (client and internal) and finally take the idea as a goal/project to its execution? Video Conference for the team, and more interactivity within the users and if the is no integrated solution available, as long as the rewards exist it would be fine.
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

My suggestions are based on how to catch the attention of the users and how to inform them on what is the system really about. Firstly the homepage should be long enough which means  scrolling is too hard for lazy users, have it placed on the same site but with such functions like spoiler, hidden, or even in slide show. Secondly, the slide show embedded in the homepage is not a good one since there is no option for the user to choose on the slide he wanted to see. Lastly if you wanted to have it shared on social community site or to gain suggestions and feedback, feedback and sharing button on footer or even in header would be better instead of having it fixed on the sides of the screen.
