  1. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
A quick look of the homepage easily gave me an idea that the site is about a weight loss program.

The first thing I saw was the huge picture at the top which gave a quick insight on how the program works. I thought that was nice. Scrolling further down, I read more info about the site. I find the text easy to read and understand. The layout is clean and simple.

I also like the colors used. It feels fresh and suits the site.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
I was curious about how the program works and the link to it was easy to find. There is also a FAQ page which explains more of the program.

Nothing was confusing and navigating around the site is pretty easy.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Yes it looks pretty interesting to try out since it seems simple and easy to follow.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
So I found http://www.nutrisystem.com which has a similar program.

I find nutrisystem’s website a bit cluttered so reading their info was a bit difficult.

In terms of simplicity, I prefer personalfoodtrainer’s service. A huge plus for nutrisystems’ though is that they have vegetarian and diabetes plans. Since I am neither of those, I find personaltrainerfood’s plan alright but for people who are vegetarian or diabetic, they may find building up a personal menu a bit of a problem.

    5) If you were looking to lose weight, would you be inclined to sign up for the program? Why (or Why not)?
Yes I find the program simple compared to others and eliminates the problem of what food to eat and keeping track of calories and stuff.

    6) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I like the website. It is simple and straightforward. It isn’t cluttered and info is easy to find.

When choosing menu items, it would be nice if there was a link to the food details page. I find it a hassle to look up the food on the menu page.

Other than that, I think the site is great and the service offered will be really helpful and useful to people looking for a good weight loss program.

  2. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
According to the home page, the first impression was quite delightful, as there were many images related fitness, and the appearance itself was very nice. The homepage also satisfies the user that the “product” seem quite authentic and verified (such as by Amazon).

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
I aimed to look for one of the best fitness program and its price. I just clicked on the ORDER NOW and choose “You Choose Plan”, I was able to see two options, and they both had visible prices. There was nothing difficult or confusing in finding the program prices.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
I would sign up, but I wouldn’t buy the program as they seem very expensive. Thus, I tried to Register/Create new account, but I wasn’t able to achieve that. I think that there should be an option right on the top of the homepage, which allows you to create an account directly, and also an option where the webpage offers you to have a trial. I surfed more into the page and also ended up at the Credit Card Payment page, still I was not able to find any free-trail sign up.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I searched on google.com, and ended up on a website called as “https://www.livestrong.com/”. I would prefer “https://www.livestrong.com/” because, its more based on tips and activities. It has many reviews related diet and fitness, It seem way more cheap and the tips are very easily accessible compared to Personaltrainerfood.com. I liked “https://www.livestrong.com/” mainly because it explains in detail about the best food choice and advantages related them. But Personaltrainerfood.com is better in one scenerio, which is related about its ease of creating and following quick food plans.

    5) If you were looking to lose weight, would you be inclined to sign up for the program? Why (or Why not)?
I would sign up for the program, but only if the prices were a bit lower than the current prices for Subscription.

    6) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I think that the rates of the subscription should be on the homepage, and there should be reviews and ratings related each Program and Fitness Subscription option. There should be more details about the food which we select, and comments as well.

  3. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?

My initial impression of the website is that it’s a website for people trying to lose weight. It offers healthy meal plans that can be personally delivered to people’s homes….Scrolling further down…Ok and daily routines. That’s important seeing that 90% of weight loss is food and 10% is exercise as showcased throughout the site. It”s good the other 10% is also provided to consumers.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?

Yes, I was able to find what I was looking for. I wanted to see the different meal options for purchase. I didn’t find my search complicated. Two clicks at the top of the screen brought me to the appropriate screen with multiple pictures of food options.

I also wanted to know how the food is prepared….scrolling down on the homepage brought me to this answer… “Our food is cooked and flash frozen to preserve freshness and flavor. No fillers, hidden sugars, bad carbs or trans fats and low or no gluten.”

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

I am encouraged to sign up for the two week trial to see how the meal plans taste before committing to a month long subscription. The pictures on the homepage slideshow showed appetizing meals that appear to be healthy portions. That’s important. I wouldn’t want to purchase small meal portions.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?

I compared personaltrainerfood.com to weight watchers.com. Weight watchers has a lot more resources including in person meetings utilizing group motivation to encourage weight loss. Weight watchers is currently offering 1 month free with select subscription plans. Personaltrainerfood.com is offering a chance to win a free month of food and discounts when signing up for the newsletter.

I prefer personalfoodtrainerfood.com because the website is simpler to use as well as the meal plans. The extra resources on weightwacthers don’t appeal to my lifestyle. I would just want the delivery of the meals/daily routines.

    5) If you were looking to lose weight, would you be inclined to sign up for the program? Why (or Why not)?
Yes I would be inclined to sign up for the program. The program seems straight forward and affordable. The meals look to be healthy portion and very appetizing. I would eat everyone of those meals, the western omelet and bacon would be great for breakfast and I love Italian meatballs! I think it’s worth a chance of trying it out.

    6) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I would move the slideshow of the meals higher on the homepage screen. That is the selling point to me of the website. The before and after pictures can appear after.

  4. 1. Initial impressions- not much different from other weight loss programmes. I like the green colour used in the background, but it doesn’t really hit me as offering anything different from something like Weight Watchers. I did like the pictures of different foods on the bottom of the page as it made me hungry but it still wouldn’t make me use this program. There were a lot of links that were easy to follow and find but I still couldn’t find pricing information as easily as I’d like.
    2. Wanted to find out how much it costs. Had to click on several different links before I found “order now”, then had to choose a plan and scroll down to find price. Prohibitively expensive IMO. Wasn’t easy to find. Should be much more prominent from the outset. Nothing was confusing as such, just couldn’t find prices very quickly.
    3. There was nothing that said get a free trial, or nothing obvious anyway. There was a box to sign up for a newsletter but again it didn’t jump out at me. There wasn’t anywhere that encouraged me to actually sign up for the service, just lots of information on the system and success stories and FAQ section. Nothing made me want to actually try it as it all seems too laborious for me.
    4. Another similar service is Freshology. I prefer them because they offer alternative diets such as vegetarian and gluten free and the website design is more appealing and far simpler to find informationa nd relevant links. Much easier to locate information on there but they are also very expensive.
    5. I wouldn’t use this service to lose weight because it’s too much money to do what I can work out for myself. I also don’t want to be as skinny as the woman on the promo page and think it’s unhealthy to promote such skinniness as a fashionable ideal. I have actually lost weight recently and just did it by reducing my carb intake, increasing protein and healthy fats and adding exercise. It’s pretty simple and a lot cheaper than this service.

  5. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?

It gives a nice and crisp first impression, however it is a little confusing. Why would “High protein for maximum calorie burn” be something that is worth looking into? It’s also not immediately clear that they also ship your food. My eyes glossed over that the first few times. It might be the light green color it’s written in. The green on the homepage is pleasing, but distracting.
Under “Not your typical weight loss plan” several points are made. The first one would look better if it was separated into two: “Great Tasting, Full Portions of Food” and e.g. “Delivered to your door, at your convenience”.
The pictures of various dishes and the line “Weight loss is 90% food, 10% exercise. We handle the 90%. Don’ t wait any longer to get the body you deserve.” is also convincing.
The “As seen on” portion is in grey, which my eyes gloss over too.
If I were part of the target market, the homepage would invite me to dig a little further.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?

I was trying to find out if they also offered meal plans for people with more specialised diets like e.g. vegetarian or vegan, however it’s not easy to find when looking at their menu or their FAQ page. I also looked into information about food allergies, which led me to their Terms and Conditions page. From there I followed another link: http://www.PersonalTrainerFood.com/Nutrition. It did not work for me. This did not leave me with a very good impression.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

I am encouraged to do so based on:

    1. No heavily processed meals
    2. Delivered to your door
    3. The menu with pictures
    4. Their testimonial page

I am not encouraged to to so based on:

    1. Lack of transparency in the costs on the page comparing all the plans
    2. Not clear if they offer vegetarian meals
    3. Not clear if they take food allergies into account, unless the visitor finds the disclaimer for food allergies on their Terms and Conditions page.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?

Bodychef.com offers a variety of different diets, while personaltrainerfood.com offers only 5 customisable plans based on what looks like 3 diets.

Bodychef.com and personaltrainerfood.com both offer to deliver meals to your home.

Bodychef.com offers a free account with which you can check what meals the plans offer, while personaltrainerfood.com has a selection of meals you can check without an account. You can easily check the ingredients with the latter, which is a plus.

Bodychef.com is not immediately transparent about their pricing, while you can easily find the prices with personaltrainerfood.com.

Bodychef.com has a more well known reputation, while personaltrainerfood.com is less well known.

Personaltrainerfood.com offers personal coaching for some plans, while it is not clear if bodychef.com does the same.

That last factor might help me choose personaltrainerfood.com over bodychef.com if it was expanded upon. It’s not immediately clear what type of coaching you might get. However, if I were a vegetarian or had a food allergy, I would prefer bodychef.com.

    5) If you were looking to lose weight, would you be inclined to sign up for the program? Why (or why not)?

I would not be interested, because while it is convincing, it is not convincing enough based on what I found on the meal plans page. I suppose that while personal food coaching is a plus, it is not clear how much support you will get. There is also a huge difference between the plan for men and the one for women. The latter is much less convincing than the former when you see all the information available e.g. the video. One of the factors that could differentiate this site from its competitors might be placing more emphasis on the personal coaching and giving people more information about it on the meal plans page. As it stands, there is not much differentiating it from its competitors.

    6) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

It’s a persuasive site, but it falls short when it comes to more specialised diets. It is tempting, but I don’t know if it is tempting enough for me to open the chat window and ask. The FAQ page with its videos is nice, but can be expanded upon. The plan for men also has a lot more information available than the other plans. It would help convince visitors if there was a series of videos for the other plans too. It’s also not obvious what the exclusive Rev! pack is. I looked for more information about their meal plans and found their blog was informative. The information there could convince me to get a meal plan with them, but that information is not readily available on the page with the meal plans. They have convincing arguments, but those arguments are not placed next to most meal plans. Adding a “Learn more” page for the other plans with the information from the blog would be beneficial.

  6. 1.First impression- It has a very catchy site to start with. The webpage is smoothing as most of the colors are green. Good taglines.

    2. Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing-
I wanted to know how the weight loss process works. The process was simplified and very detailed.
It also showed the milestone in which I can feel the changes if I take the plan for weight loss.
The web page was not confusing and easy to use.

3.Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

Yes I am encouraged to sign up for a free trial. It will give me tips and recipes and how I can change my daily diet, which would help me reduce weight and maintain a healthy living.

4.Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?

I would prefer another site for weight loss which I found i.e https://www.webmd.com. This site tells about the various ways I can help change myself. It has blogs and personal experience of other users which makes me feel inspired.

    5. If you were looking to lose weight, would you be inclined to sign up for the program? Why (or Why not)?

Yes,I would sign of for the program,to find whether it suits my need or not.If it does, then i will surely go ahead with other programs with them.

6.) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

If the webpages shares personal experience of other users,It would inspire a lot more people to join them.

  7. 1. It is a very nice, clear, modern web page, I like it.
    2. I’d like to know if there is an app that I can follow my progress in losing weight. I searched in How it works, Menu, FAQ, and Plans menu, but I didn’t find such a feature. I’m not confused, I’m sure it’s something that is not offered.
    3. I’m rather skinny, so I’m not interested in losing weight, but I’m interested in how they would change my eating habits, so if I’d lived in the US, I would have opt for the trial.
    4. After some paging on google.com I found https://diettogo.com/ They also have a very attractive web page, but almost immediately got a pop-up in my face to give my weight and such, and I don’t really like these kind of marketing. Moreover, on the first page they don’t show their prices, so I’d choose this one.
5.Yes, maybe. As I mentioned, I’m not fat, so I’d do it because of the meal change. Maybe, because I might rather choose a specialized dietitian.
    6. Keep up the good work! Maybe it is worth developing an app for the customers, so that they don’t pay only for ordering food and getting some exercises.

Why?
So I found https://www.nutrisystem.com which has a similar program.

    ?

  9. 1) My initial impression would be that the homepage layout was very eye catching. The slideshow of Before and After pictures followed by the different sections detailing the services as you scroll down.Right away from the layout I could tell that this was a weight loss diet program.

    2) Something I wanted to find was whether or not you could choose a monthly package. After prowling through the website and going through the FAQ and Meal Plans page I was unable to find my answer. While there might only be a handful of clients interested in knowing that information I still find it important for the web designers/developers to make a note to include this. So to answer the question: No, I did not find what I was looking for. However, nothing was confusing on the website. Most of the FAQ questions were thoroughly explained and the pricing details were thorough.

    3) Yes, I am encouraged to register/subscribe for the diet program. All because of the pictures left all throughout the website advertising previous clientele success, this made me want to hypothetically see the same result for myself. Also, I thought the Success Stories page was perfect for hooking me into the idea of become slimmer. It gives possible customers the chance to see that this could be them also if they go with PersonalTrainerFood.com.

    4) I chose to compare Personal Trainer Food with Nutrisystem. Both companies offer the exact same 28-day weight loss dietary program. Different prices and policies but still marginally similar. However, I would prefer Nutrisystem over Personal Food Trainer because Nutrisystem is more detailed in their services. While PFT tells customers a basic summary of their work on the homepage Nutrisystem mentions services on every other page on the website. Also, by looking at the Nutrisystem I got the feeling that I would be working with professionals if I went with them which is unlike the vibe I got with Personal Food Trainer.

    5) If I were choosing to lose weight, I would possibly sign up with the program. Not a definite yes because I still feel that Personal Food Trainer needs to include more information on the actual diet and not just the pricing page. The company has to remember that they are competing against other major companies and need to include information that makes them stand out and appeal to customers. So to conclude, my final answer is I would maybe sign up with this program if I were trying to lose weight.

  10. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?

My initial impression of the site is that it looks organized, professional, modern and like time was really spent on creating it. There aren’t too many things moving around or popping up that could distract me or make me want to close out the webpage. The pictures gave me the sense that I could possibly look as good as they did if I stuck with the plan.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?

Like anyone who would be interested, I wanted to know about plans and pricing and reviews. The self-explanatory links at the top of the home page made that very easy for me to achieve. The pricing was made available only after I selected a plan which isn’t bad because it helped to explain what I would be paying for specifically. As far as the reviews go, it really made me believe in the product more because the website showed personal reviews from YouTube versus some quotes that could have been fake. It helps when you can see the words coming out of someone’s mouth in the comfort of their own home rather in a studio. I didn’t find anything confusing.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

If I were looking to lose weight, I would give some thought to signing up only after I did some thorough researching and that is really only because I am not familiar with your brand. But that is mainly because I haven’t seen any advertising for your brand plus your company doesn’t show up in the top list of search results.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?

I looked on Google using the search term “weight loss food delivery programs” and I was met with a lot of options (your webpage didn’t show up until the I reached the third page!!!). Some I had heard of and some I hadn’t so I chose the more familiar one….Nutrisystem. There weren’t that many differences but I did notice a few things immediately. If I had to choose, I would probably go with Nutrisystem and here are three reasons why. First, I am more familiar with the brand due to the many advertisements I see weekly if not daily. Second, Nutrisystem has a “Diet Analysis” on the homepage that helps me choose a plan it believes to be best for me based on my weight, height, age and gender (which I thought was awesome and very helpful for people that don’t have a clue as to where to start). I actually have to decline using the diet analysis if I want to view the website but it does a “reverse psychology” thing on me because clicking out of it would remind me of my procrastination with losing weight. Third, there was a money back guarantee on the homepage that you couldn’t miss unless you were blind or illiterate.

    5) If you were looking to lose weight, would you be inclined to sign up for the program? Why (or Why not)?

I wouldn’t immediately be inclined to sign up simply because there are no advertisements for your brand that I am aware of. It is a bit difficult to find your website when searching for weight loss food delivery options so I would probably only hear about it via word of mouth.

    6) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

Here are the things I liked about your site:

    1. Your links work and take me to where they are suppose to (e.g. social media links)
    2. The chat box works during business hours
    3. The food menu is listed and it has pictures
    4. The Amazon rating is true and can be easily verified
    5. There is an estimated delivery calculator provided above the rate plans
    6. You give customers the option to share their success and promote the brand by allowing them to submit before and after photos
    7. Your disclaimer is visible on the homepage
    8. You have a catchy slogan
    9. You give the nutritional value and ingredients for each food listed

Here are the things I feel could add more value to your website:

    1. There is no guarantee listed on the homepage and if there is a guarantee listed, I can’t find it easily.
    2. You offer support as part of the program but there isn’t any way to access that. I feel a “support” or “tools” tab should be added to make it easier for people to receive outside help when needed.
    3. You don’t have a sitemap listed at the bottom of the page. It would be nice to have one in case I can’t find what I am looking for.
    4. The hours of operation should be listed and visible. Especially if people have to plan time to call.
    5. The colors on the site are mostly white and green. I understand the basic white background but the color green makes me think of money and that it’s the only thing you are really interested in….MY MONEY…and not the promotion that better health is achievable and affordable.
    6. ADVERTISE! ADVERTISE! ADVERTISE! It will do wonders for you in the foreseeable future.

    I hope this helps!!!
