What do you think the site is about? Does it make sense? I think the site is about a way of marketing a product to it’s intended audience via any form of networking that works for that particular product- if music is the intended form, it will also be used as a free place for people to download the music they are looking for, but also receive information about a product, thus creating an advertising platform.    To me, it’s confusing.
Choose to spend as much time as you want on the site, either try registering or try building your own channel (it can take time to do this) – feel free to dig as deep as desired and explain the difficulty or ease in doing this – and how the process could be better.

Please share any other thoughts or comments you might have. I understand the marketing side of doing what you can to get your product out there, getting it to the intended audiences, but I am not very clear on how the music comes into play.  I am assuming it is a way to get people to the website.
I tried to register as a new user to the site, but was unable to get past the initial sign up screen.

  2. Visit https://channels.guvera.com. Spend 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? Does it make sense?-  Color scheme is good. What are they looking at? : )  just looking at it briefly I see that it has to do with music but I don’t understand how I become the channel but I see free, that’s always good as a consumer, it’s got me wanting to know more .  And just as I thought that I saw the what is Guvera video !  As a consumer cool, as a business owner your business would have to be pretty popular or out there to consider this.
Choose to spend as much time as you want on the site, either try registering or try building your own channel (it can take time to do this) – feel free to dig as deep as desired and explain the difficulty or ease in doing this – and how the process could be better.–  Working at a small family business I don’t see the need to sign up at this time and because it currently is not a “popular” advertisement  tool in my city.
Please share any other thoughts or comments you might have.–  As a consumer I love the aspect of how Guvera works.  I have no problem having advertisements staring me down so I can listen to free music, just as long and I don’t have to watch videos of their commercials.  Both channels.guvera and guvera.com are geared toward the hard rock  & rock  genre, my suggestion to that would be try to make it a little more apparent that it’s more than rock music.

What do you think the site is about? Does it make sense?
As I first looked over the site, I liked the color because its bright and grabbed my attention. It seems like this site is about finding free music to listen to. Whether a user wants to just listen to music online or download it to listen to later on, this site is the one to use.

Choose to spend as much time as you want on the site, either try registering or try building your own channel (it can take time to do this) – feel free to dig as deep as desired and explain the difficulty or ease in doing this – and how the process could be better.

I registered for the site and it was really easy, but I wanted to know why you chose to have choices to describe the user that was registering, i.e. Company Public, Company Private? I did not understand why the user has to be categorized while registering and that there was no spot for an individual’s name, only a company name.

When setting up the channel on the site, I thought the process was a little hard because the instructions were not exactly right for how the process actually works. I think there should be a few more steps that are more specific on how to choose the music, and the target groups for each brand that you make.
Please share any other thoughts or comments you might have.

Overall, I enjoyed the site, but would appreciate more specific instructions on how to navigate through the site and create the channels.

On the home page, I see the word Channel twice and I see music and the guy on the right looks like a rock guy, and the guitar makes me think about rock music.

What do you think the site is about? Does it make sense?

It says that consumers visit when they want free music.  I downloaded the free brochure and read about how to do it.  Search.  Select a song, pick advertiser, listen or download, explore channel, re-visit channel, what’s in a channel.  It actually does make sense.  We get to pick what ad we want when we choose music/channel.  It is similar to what hulu does if you want to watch a show for free.

Choose to spend as much time as you want on the site, either try registering or try building your own channel (it can take time to do this) – feel free to dig as deep as desired and explain the difficulty or ease in doing this – and how the process could be better.

When I attempt to register, it asks for a company name.  If I am just a person looking for music, this would be confusing.  Second, it appears to only be available to US and Australia.  But the internet is way bigger than these two countries.  Actionable suggestion:  I would strongly recommend to either drop the limited country selection altogether or add a lot more countries.  You don’t want to make people think it is only for these 2 countries if your target market is much more.
Lastly, I don’t understand why to register, you must click “User sign up” button.  Why doesn’t it just say “submit”?  It is confusing and could make this process more difficult than it has to be.
Next, I clicked the confirm link in my email, however I realized that I don’t have a password to login.  I don’t see a password, or it is not identified in the confirmation email.  I am seriously confused about how to login to Guvera, and wish it were a lot easier.  I don’t think I can get to the content of this site.

Please share any other thoughts or comments you might have.

Pros:  Professional looking homepage, good color scheme, great idea for business
Cons:  Unsuccessful and complicated login process, limited countries at registration, and confusion at registration might be the barrier to getting new customers.

I really wanted to get past the login, but the registration process needs to be more easier, straightforward, and as simple as possible!

I’m not to keen on the featured picture. They look like cookie cutter model trying to act like they like music. The gray in the back ground is so mundane and boring. These don’t look like everyday people who listen to music and I have to wonder what are they looking at? They guy with the sties names on his shirt makes me think heavy metal and not really universal music. I do how like the colors, nice constrasting colors.

What do you think the site is about? Does it make sense?
This site allow consumers a place to find free music to download. Yes it makes sense and it’s nice that you have video and a brochure from someone to look at. You can: search, pick a song, choose and advertiser, get  directed to ther page, download or not and surf other content. You make one search and may find a lot of other content that you may want to download with safety and security.

Choose to spend as much time as you want on the site, either try registering or try building your own channel (it can take time to do this) – feel free to dig as deep as desired and explain the difficulty or ease in doing this – and how the process could be better.
When trying to register it ask for a company name. There should be some way to pick either or. Then you have list that includes company private, company public and things of the like. That was confusing. I would much rather pick a password for myself than to be given one. Also the password said company in my email. Okay I was thrown off because I thought company was a password but you have a place to press that allow you to complete registration and then you get to choose a password. Not sure what the company info is used to. I don’t get the difference between the company and user. You ask for alot of information and people maybe turned off with that. I found it to be much to continue.

The login process needs to be revamped it was confusing and had way to may questions. On the other hand it’s great concept for any music lover.

    1. What do you think the site is about? Does it make sense?
If I hadn’t read your intro above, I wouldn’t have had a clue what your site is for, other than it revolves around music.  I appreciate the simplicity of the homepage, but a little more expository intro copy might be necessary, to give a better idea what your product is.
    2. Choose to spend as much time as you want on the site, either try registering or try building your own channel (it can take time to do this) – feel free to dig as deep as desired and explain the difficulty or ease in doing this – and how the process could be better.

-I think that having your main image on the homepage link to a PDF is a bad idea.  I would guess a fair amount of traffic is going to click the image for more information, because there is very little information about your product on the page.  Since this is a new site and product, I recommend linking straight to the About page.
-The site design is clean and extremely relevant and modern.  Very pleasing imagery, and the color scheme is both highly readable, as well as
-As a marketer (I’m a project manager at a marketing firm), I think your product is innovative, and just plain cool.  You have a great concept, and I love that campaigns can be customized easily by budget, they’re truly available to everyone.  I also love the idea of engaging an audience through music, not just throwing another cliched marketing message at them.
-The login area is easy-to-find, but without supporting copy on the homepage, I wouldn’t necessarily register.  Just a little more information (not anything long-winded, just a line or so) would be really helpful here as well.
-I had errors trying to signup (using Google Chrome on a Mac).  Initially, my “test” company name was not available; however, upon entering a new name and clicking ‘user sign up,’ I kept kicking back to the register page without any error message to let me know what was wrong.  I’m disappointed; I was looking forward to checking this out and playing around a bit!

Really great product, and I look forward to getting in and trying out your product a bit (I would love if you could let me know if the issue I had is resolved – I’d like to sign up!).
Your website is clean and simple, but maybe a bit too much.  As I mentioned before, just a bit more copy would clear up any confusion on the homepage and ensure visitors click through and register.
    Good luck!

What do you think the site is about? Does it make sense?

I guess the site is an online music channel kind of like a radio station. The photo in the middle – why are the people looking up? Only the girl in the middle is listening to music.  I LOVED the “What is Guvera” video!  That was an excellent explanation of what you offer.  So, after watching that, I think your site lets me download music for free – legally. 🙂

Choose to spend as much time as you want on the site, either try registering or try building your own channel (it can take time to do this) – feel free to dig as deep as desired and explain the difficulty or ease in doing this – and how the process could be better.

Okay, I clicked on “About” and my first issue is the word “profoundly.”  That word needs to go. It makes me feel like you are telling me how I should see the site’s service.  Innovative is good enough.  Profoundly = overkill. :)  Also, you could make the smaller text a little bigger.  I’m having trouble reading it.
Actually, the more I read that opening statement, the more I would change it altogether.  I would also run whatever opening statement you have across the whole box at the top and then have the explanations in columns.  The privacy page has text that is way too small for such a huge blank space.
I would not have the brochure open by clicking on the center photo since that is redundant to the brochure box on the right.  The news link about guvera is great.  I’m not sure why you repeat the bottons from the top on the bottom.  It’s not like the page is long and I have to scroll way down, however, I liked the bottons at the bottom better than the ones at the top.  I would recommend navigation buttons at the bottom of the terms and conditions page since that one is so long.  Finally, if you’re going to repeat your navigation bottons at the bottom on the first page, just do it on all of the pages.
I tried to register, but left the first field blank. Now it has a *Required notice in the first field, but I have no company, so don’t know what I’m supposed to enter there. Since it won’t let me go any further, I’m now assuming I haven’t understood what the site does (if an individual can’t use it).  On the “about” page the last section says that you match individuals with companies by gathering information about individual users.  I couldn’t find any place to enter my information.

Please share any other thoughts or comments you might have.

I don’t normally like completely black backgrounds, but the layout of the pages and the red contrast really works.  The registration page was simple and it was easy to navigate back home.
Overall, I really liked this site.  This is a great way to provide sponsored music.

The layout and color scheme of the website is really great. It is very eye pleasing. If I were to come across the site on accident, I would take an extra minute or two to see what the site was just because it caught my eye.
What do you think the site is about? Does it make sense?
I think it is a free music streaming and downloading service for consumers. For a business it is a place for them to create their own channel that would have free music, but also contain their advertisements. They have the ability to tweek their channel to make it target groups for their free channel.
Choose to spend as much time as you want on the site, either try registering or try building your own channel (it can take time to do this) – feel free to dig as deep as desired and explain the difficulty or ease in doing this – and how the process could be better.
Signing up was a little confusing. Maybe the signup is only for business users? It asks company name etc. I clicked on different sections and did find some very interesting information. It is a wonderful idea for companies to be able to create a channel that advertises their brand without disruptive ads. That way consumers see the brand as a source for getting great music, and they will remember the brand itself. The What is Guvera video is awesome. The tech specs are also a good idea. This can be very helpful to users. I also found the download brochure ad to be a bit redundant. Overall I say that the site is well laid out. The product itself is a bit confusing and the signup process seems to be only for business users that are making channels. If this is not the case their should be a seperate signup process for users, because when it asks for company it makes you feel like you are in the wrong section. The color scheme is awesome.

What do you think the site is about? Does it make sense?

It looks a little like the Macys home page lol. Honestly I think the website is awesome. But the landing page should do a better job of explaining the purpose and benefit of the site. The best way of doing this is not using text but a diagram or trendy image simply explaining the concept.

After watching the “What is Guvera” video I have a much clearer understanding for what the site is about. I think the concept is fantastic and long overdue. Who wouldn’t be willing to have to look at an advertisement page for however brief is needed in order to download free and legal music. The way it is designed in that the artist also gets their revenue is brilliant. The sign up and registration was simple and quick and did not involve a bunch of extra unnecessary profiling.

The only area that was confusing was how to register as a user to download music from the original page. I did not see any obvious links or directions. I found my own way by using common sense and typing in guvera.com in the address bar. But, if someone was not skilled enough to figure out how to do this and had landed on the original page they could be mislead into thinking that you had to be a company of some sort in order to utilize the site.

My first impression is from the statement, “Become the channel consumers visit for free music”, that somehow you can get people free music.  I assume it’s downloads because of the girl with the headset/mp3 player.  I’m not sure why they are looking up.  I like the black and red interface, it’s easy to read and I want to stay and read more about the service.

What do you think the site is about? Does it make sense?
I had to watch the video to understand completely what the site was about.  The video was extremely well made and I found it very helpful in understanding what Guvera was all about.  Guvera uses advertisement dollars to provide artists with payment for their music that users can download for free. I found the final statements of the video the most helpful.  The news releases on the homepage really validated Guvera for me when it stated that it was Billboard’s Top 1- music start ups.  Also the Fox News coverage mentioned in the video and on the news real on the homepage.  The Advertising brochure was packed with great information and ideas for advertisers to maximize their visibility and generate leads to their channels.  I think that many advertisers will find the brochure useful in presenting this idea to their companies.

I registered as a business, I think.  I found the online forms confusing.  In the United States we use the term, “last name”, not “family name”.  We are also more accustomed to having our address meaning our street address with a separate space for our city and then the state.  Many online forms go automatically to the first required box and it’s ready to type.  Your forms were confusing in that you had to click each white box in order to type.  I found this annoying.  I expected to be able to begin typing and then use the tab to go to the next required box.  I am still not sure I signed up for a music seeker or an advertiser.  I find the terms “company” and “user” confusing, since advertisers are uses too.  So which am I if I simply want to download?  I am still completely confused on where to look up music titles that you may want to download.  Did I have to register in order to do this?

I think that this is a smart solution to the problem of free music downloads.  I hope that you will continue to make it easy business to advertise using music downloads as an incentive for viewing their goods or services.

What do you think the site is about? Does it make sense?  After glancing at the home page for 10 seconds, I see that the 3 young adults (one of which is plugged in) are captivated by something new in the world of music. My initial feeling when I saw the picture on the homepage was curiosity.  The homepage looks professional and seems to captivate young adults. At first glance, the navigation through the website looks relatively straightforward.
Choose to spend as much time as you want on the site, either try registering or try building your own channel (it can take time to do this) – feel free to dig as deep as desired and explain the difficulty or ease in doing this – and how the process could be better. I signed up and built my own channel and found some helpful aspects and some confusing aspects. The site does not seem to logically stream. I appreciated the speed of email verifications but it was not clear where I was in many different applications throughout the site.  I started with “How to Use Guvera” and in the first step, I was directed to find a “new brand” link on the “Manage Brands” tab. I did not see it anywhere. I was actually able to navigate through the site much better without using the instructions. The site itself is aesthetically pleasing and the black and red color theme is fabulous; however, I had a hard time populating the fields properly where I was being asked for my information and my business information. The color scheme is fine but more traditional fields would help keep visitors and potential customers from getting frustrated.
Please share any other thoughts or comments you might have. Overall, the site has great potential, if it had a better flow and more traditional fields, you would definitely increase traffic. After being in the site for a while, my initial thought was still prevalent. Captivating the reader has definitely been accomplished.

The registration process was very easy and it took me 20 minutes or more to register. The only part I didn’t notice is the inclusive of everyone in the public, one example is they want you to have a company or business name to register. I had no problems watching the videos and upload channels of this website, I think it was very fun and exciting.
I think the process would be better if they included everyone in the registration process without asking for a business or company name.

My overall view of this website is, I think it is a great and entertaining website, especially for the younger and some older crowds. I enjoyed clicking on the music albums and it was great and entertaining music. They had music for the older generation as well as the younger generation.

What do you think the site is about? Does it make sense?

I thought the site was about music and got that I could make my own stations but with only a brief look, I did not understand how that could be done. I found the intro picture intriguing and my eyes went immediately to the flashing news reel at the bottom. As I look around more, I hope the concept becomes more clear and makes more sense.

Choose to spend as much time as you want on the site, either try registering or try building your own channel (it can take time to do this) – feel free to dig as deep as desired and explain the difficulty or ease in doing this – and how the process could be better.

First I went to the advertising brochure and I got an idea of how it would work for advertisers which peaked my interest as a consumer. Then I watched the video which I found very helpful and really answered all of my questions and made the concept more clear. I wanted to set up my account as an user as am not a business owner. I couldn’t find how to search for music or how to register besides as an owner.. is this on another site?

Please share any other thoughts or comments you might have

The only problem I had with the video and in general the content on the site is it seems geared towards one type of consumer, and one genre of music. Though I didn’t mind the music used in the video I could see how it and some of the images could limit the type of consumers who would want to use this site. If your goal is only to cater to people who like hard rock then your site does that well. If you want to cater to consumers of all ages and consumers who like all types of music you need to find ways to make them feel welcome. Such as using different music for the video, providing images of other types of music and other types of consumers. I think this would help you to gain a larger variety of businesses, brand etc. Companies that want to appeal to a broader audience. I think your concept is great and if I could figure out how to use it as a consumer, and if I could find more then one type of music on the site .. then I would definitely use it!

Complete. The first thing that drew is the main picture and words on it. The first thing I thought the site was is a music service on the lines of youtube channels. There isn’t really anything at first glance that tells what the site is about, but the page is easily enticing enough to make me want to watch the video or look into it more.

What do you think the site is about? Does it make sense?

After watching the video everything made perfect sense. Like I said before, the landing page is very enticing and made me want to watch the video. The basis for this site is the consumer getting free music downloads where the music is paid for by an advertiser.

Choose to spend as much time as you want on the site, either try registering or try building your own channel (it can take time to do this) – feel free to dig as deep as desired and explain the difficulty or ease in doing this – and how the process could be better.

The first thing I did was read the advertising brochure. The video really got me excited to learn more about it. I was really impressed by the brochure,it was very informative on how the system works, and I found myself brainstorming the different ways I could use guvera for my marketing. I registered which was very easy and went on to make my channel,I was very excited to get a channel up and going. When I got to the music selection page is where I found my first con,and to me it’s a very big one,I actually lost a good deal of interest because of it. The con is,a very clunky way to search for music. I already had an idea in my head on what kind of music I wanted to offer on my channel, the first thing I went to do is search by Genre, this is not an option, and I think it should be added as a search option. I did a few searches of artists off the top of my head and got no results and found myself losing interest very quickly so I decided to move on and check everything else out. Now this is where my interest skyrocketed again. The page customization is awesome,I could have spent a very long time literally just tweaking my page’s appearance,I loved it. While continuing on I went to set up my pages personality, here I saw the genre option and was excited that my con might not really be a con, this spurned me to read the how to use Guvera page and was happy with what I read. I’m still going to stand by my earlier con though, the search options are just to clunky and I still think a genre option should also be there. I set up my personality but unfortunately I didn’t get any suggestions for music,I’m guessing that’s just because the library is still being expanded?

Please share any other thoughts or comments you might have.

My overall thought of the site can be summed up in one word, “Awesome” This would be a site I could see myself using in the future. I already brought up one con before, but it brings me to one other con. Music selection. I’m sure the library is being updated regularly but for my uses the music selection still seems to be to limited. Or maybe it’s not,and the music search is to blame but, the outcome is the same and I couldn’t find any music that I would want to put on my page. As a summary I think that the channel set up and different options available are just amazing. As it sits, I’m going to keep Guvera bookmarked and check back regularly to see how things are progressing on the music. If I’m able to start finding music I want to put on my channel,I would and will definitely use Guvera to it’s full potential as a marketer. It has my complete interest and I think it is an amazing idea. Thank you very much for letting me review your site.

I think that the site is about making a place where people can come and download free music.  But, there will also be other music files that will be there available for purchase. Does it make sense? Not sure.  It is a little confusing to me.  Do you pay for so many tracks then get a free one.  Or is there a list of free music and then a list of files that are for sale?????

Choose to spend as much time as you want on the site, either try registering or try building your own channel (it can take time to do this) – feel free to dig as deep as desired and explain the difficulty or ease in doing this – and how the process could be better. I did not register because it is asking for a company name and I did not want to make one up.  Is this just for businesses or can an individual use the website?  Is it geared toward businesses?

Please share any other thoughts or comments you might have. I think that the more information on what the site is about should be on the homepage.  I still am not sure if this is a  site to promote other products and offer free songs to users when they are shopping for those products or what after reading the about page.  The main focus is very cloudy.  Is it free music or product offerings where after you purchase you then can receive free music downloads????? I do think that the layout and color schemes are very professional looking. At first glance, it looks like the Virgin Mobile layout…..

  18. What do you think the site is about? I think this is a unique site for playing music. You not only choose your favorite channels, you actually build your own station with graphics and all. The unique guide makes it simple in 4 steps to do.

I chose not to register since I did not want to put in information and it is mostly geared toward businesses rather than individuals.
Please share any other thoughts or comments you might have. As I stated previously, it is unique. It has a very informative user guide which will save time and make it easier to use. I think this site should be advertised more, perhaps on google.
