I was able to easily understand the service offered by HuMuch. I immediately thought that this is something really useful especially for travelers or people planning to go abroad.
The line “The best way for people from all over the world to find, share & compare prices” and the Welcome message explained the site pretty much. Although I think the welcome message should be a little bit more emphasized (bigger font maybe?).
The homepage is simple and the layout is easy on the eyes. It’s great that the items were grouped into categories (Savvy Shoppers, Living Abroad, International Travelers). It makes it a lot easier to browse through the items.

My first impression was that the item page isn’t detailed. I only see the “High” and “Low” prices of the items. Then I saw the map. The map is nice having the prices on different countries but I thought it was a bit of hassle to hover on each of the balloons just to make a comparison. Then lower down the page, I finally spotted the list of all prices.
Maybe it would be better to move the table higher up the page, like below the map since I feel like it is an important section of the page. The related items could go as the lowest section.
I just noticed that there were links to the table (See more worldwide prices for Spam 12 oz. Make and read comments). I actually just skipped over that line of text. Perhaps having it listed in bulleted form with icons will grab the viewers attention a bit more.

Yes I am, the site seems useful and has some active users. The registration process is pretty simple to do which is great.

    4) What features do you find most useful? Least useful?
I find the search box most useful. It’s probably what I would be using most of the time to look for specific items.
I do not get what “One Price Questions” is for. It always shows “No records found” so I don’t find it the least bit helpful. The “Cost of Living Calculator” does not seem to work either.

I like that the site colors and layout is simple.
But at some areas I find the text cluttered, particularly in the Item page. Maybe adding variation on the sections will help – like a light colored background for the summary, bigger font size for the Item name, bulleted list for the links..
Also at the item page, some of the text were colored blue like the links so I find it a bit confusing on whether they are links or not.
It would be nice of the price table had an option to be sorted, say by country or by price.
All in all HuMuch is a nice site. It offers a really helpful service and seems to have a nice community. Perhaps with a few more tweaks with the layout and colors and features (like the calculator and one price questions), users will definitely be more invited to sign up and stick around.

the tagline above the search box is explaining well the purpose of the site
my suggestion is to make the search box little bigger to make it more compelling because it is all about search products.
My Question is if someone could not find the price of the product he is looking for what he will do (he will ask someone) may be he gets an answer but what the site is doing? does the site will enter that product is the product list if yes then how? if no then how the site is increasing it’s database.

the item page is not so attracting it is little overcrowded, the map function is making the page heavy i think there is no need to add this on page.
you could add a little how it works buttons beneath the the features “add price in your town”   and “ask price from others” it will be helpful for the new coming user.
the button send via email is making me confuse what this button is suppose to do? if this feature will send an email to the user the prices you could name it differ

although the user feel and interfacing does not promise much but the whole concept is good i registered myself on the site the registration was easy

    4) What features do you find most useful? Least useful?
ask and answer price questions is a good feature but still not understand how it will integrate with the database. i asked it above.
one open price question is about Chivas Regal 12yr Whisky (1L) the high price is around 7000 and low price is 3.00 it is not realistic.

it is good to include categories top of the page in search all items

overall it’s a good concept but with little tweaking you could add more life to it. the mobile app will be more helpful then the web site.
    Good Luck!

When I first jumped onto their homepage I was a little confused as to what the site was supposed to be showing me. They have 3 statements one below the other with arrows to the left and right of each statement, Savy Shopper, below that Living Abbroad, and below that International travelers. All 3 like a said have arrows to the left and right of them making me think that if I clicked on them they would take me somehwere on their page. That was not the case. As I am the type of user that looks and automatically starts to press buttons without reading that was a little misleading for me. Once I looked to my right and read that this was a page that would compare items that I know internationally by everyday users like myself, then I was really interested to see what I could find on the actual site.

I went to their price page and clicked on bananas. As I just purchased bananas yesterday for my household I was curious to see what bananas was going for in other areas of the world. I liked the fact that they give me the highest and lowest prices when I first click on the image for further information on the item. As I live in NYC and have traveled internationally for pleasure over the years, I found this site to be fun and informative. I was told that there is a total of 53 prices from 23 countries. I found the map below allowing you to filter the countries and the various prices to be very nifty. The most recent place that I visited a few months back was Dominican Republic and I was interested to see what the price was however no post had been placed which I was a little dissappointed.
As for lowering the bounce rate, I don’t necessarily feel thats a problem as the comparison from country/location to one another will always vary depending on their economy at that time. I don’t think there is much that can be done in my opinion except further research the product or be very selectice as to who is allowed to post.
Are you encouraged to join? How was the registration process?
The registration process was ridiculously easy which I was very pleased. I only fear that because it is so easy anyone can make up a name claim that they are form this country and then give outstanding prices or on the contrary give a really low price. I quickly joined the fun added the price for a big mac and then tried to find my post to see where it would land and who would see it. I was unable to find it so maybe there is a waiting period for posts or it goes through a filtering process to see if the post is somehwat reliable.
What features do you find most useful? Least useful?
I like the fact that you can search for any item and that you have the ability to see multiple posts to compare it to different locations at once. When you first click on an item and the map below the items information pops up, I really think this is genious as it gives the webpage a more fun and intereactive feel to it. I’m not thrilled that anyone can join it though. However I think that the site itself has huge potential to really help individuals that travel a lot and need to have at least somewhat of an understanding of the cost of living to where they are visiting.
I like the fact that you can post items and share your knowledge and be part of the community without  hassel.
Like I said before, the arrows on the homepage confused me as they were not working when I pressed them so I do not understand their purpose. The homepage could use a little more information as to what this page can do for the user. However once you get past that and you realise what the page is about I found it interesting and extremely informative.

My first comment would be to create a phone app but since thats on the way I think thats fantastic. I would like to see more information on the homepage that would let me know what the site is and what it can do. I do like though that it’s a simple tasteful webpage that isn’t overly cramped with ads and posts to take away from the site. I would simply add more information to the homepage and maybe give individuals the option to sign in with facebook so that the name of the website can get out more into the public.
