About Ideal Mealz:

We offer a convenient solution to that ever present question at the end of the day: “What’s for dinner?” Ideal Mealz™ provides you with the recipe, the grocery list, as well as the preparation and cooking instructions to make up to a month’s worth of meals in just a few short hours. Saves you time and money.

Ideal Mealz™ was created by Chef Anna who prepares gourmet take away meals for busy families, elderly clients, singles, empty nesters, and those looking for healthy alternatives to chain restaurants. We take those same great meals and adapt them for you to make at home. We do the recipe development, grocery list preparation, and provide both video and written cooking instruction for you. You devote an afternoon a month and a few minutes each night to cook. Not a bad investment of time to have a month’s menu of dinners at your fingertips.

  1. What is your initial impression of the site? Is it immediately clear what we are about? My impression of the website is it is professional but seems a bit cluttered. I did have a clear impression of the website. It is a website that provides me with healthy, chef quality food ideas with the ability to print out the grocery list etc.. I would have to pay for a subscription to the services.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like? What bothers me about this site is it seems a bit cluttered. I would like to see it broke down based on categorys, such as soups being in one tab etc.. Also I don’t like the fact that there is only a one months supply of recipes. I like the color of the site and the fact that it seems professional.

Would you sign up for a trial/account? If not, why? No, because there are only 30 recipes listed. What if the ideas they list for the month I don’t like. I would not want to be tied to that and have to pay for some food ideas I may not like. Also I think it is a bit pricey when I can go on free sites and do the same.

Is it clear how the site/subscription service works? Yes it is clear. I think that if I am paying for a subscription to a site for meal plans I should also have access to previous months recipes as well.

What do you think about the pricing? I think the pricing is expensive considering I can go to many free websites and pay nothing for the same quality of foods.

Please share any additional comment you may have. I think that it is crazy to have to pay to see recipes. It would be different if you were sending me recipe cards every month but you are not. I can go on many free sites to get the same quality of recipes and not have to pay a dime. I think if you are going to charge people you should mail them recipe cards etc…

  2. What is your initial impression of the site? Is it immediately clear what we are about?

At first glance without really delving into the site, it seems like this is a site to have fresh meals delivered to your doorstep.  Upon further investigation, it is a site that you go to where chefs have done all the leg work for you and all you need to do is to buy a subscription, and dinner problems are done with.  A person has to read the tiny print after “Welcome to Ideal Meals”.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like? I need to see more about what the site is about on the front page.  The print is really tiny.  There isn’t enough on there to draw me in to see what you are all about.  Also, the color brown seems a little boring to me.  Whenever I see sites about healthy food, they always throw in the color green.  Green makes me think of health and freshness.  What I liked was the menu gallery.  It got me hungry just looking at it.  Love the food choices.  They seem really tasty.

Would you sign up for a trial/account? If not, why? I would sign up for a trial membership.  This is a good idea.  As a mom, I would love to take the guesswork out of dinner time.  There is no other meal that you need prep time for than dinner. Anything to save me time!

What do you think about the pricing?
I think the pricing is fair.  For all the time and energy I put into dinner, it is totally worth it not to give it a second thought.

Please share any additional comment you may have. I really like this idea.  I often go to kraftfoods.com for the same type of things Ideal Mealz does, but I really hate the amount of processed foods they ask you to buy.  Moms like ease of use and effiency in the kitchen.  Kudos to you.

Is it clear how the site/subscription service works?
Yes, very clear and concise.  But, I would want to know what type of payment do you take?  Is there a secure network if I have to do my credit card online?
