About Last Stop:
Have you ever found yourself falling asleep on a train or bus and nearly missing your station/stop? If the answer is yes and you have an iPhone 3GS/4 then Last Stop could help you.
Last Stop is a GPS alarm, it allows you to set an alarm to go off when you get within a particular radius of a location. It utilizes iOS multitasking so it can run seamlessly in the background. You can listen to your music or play a game and Last Stop will pause whatever your doing and notify you when your near your set location.
Download the Last Stop App from the AppStore.
Done. I was able to download it through iTunes on my computer, but it was not in the App Store from my device. Â
What do you think of the user interface?
First off, I have to say that I LOVE the first thing I see when entering the app; copy pointing me towards what I need to do. Thank you for not making me search or learn on my own what do once I opened the app. Already, I am pleased. It’s simple, I’m not burdened by ads, pointless options, and distracting features. I like that about this app
How easy is it to add an alarm?
Very easy! As mentioned above, this seems to be straightforward. I simply hit add, and up pop the four-five basic questions. At first, I was trying to adjust the proximity on the map, but as soon as I set my location, I quickly realized that I could change the proximity back in the alarm menu. It would have been nice to have “dragged†the pin point, as opposed to having to enter in a search location. What if I don’t know the name of where I’m going, but I could drag the red pin to the location I need? This is one feature I’d like to see added, if possible. Â
How easy was it to set the alarms location?
As mentioned above, it was easy because I picked a known location. If I simply wanted to look at a map and pick a spot, it was slightly frustrating, as it wasn’t clear that this was an option. Otherwise though, very easy. If I always had an address, I’d say this was great!
What do you think of the applications performance?
Good! I turned it on, I didn’t travel to my location destination, but finding my location, setting the alarm, customizing the alarm and turning it on was very easy. In fact, I had a friend who could use this app… Just the other day I dropped her off at the train late at night, and she made me call her 45 minutes exactly after I dropped her off, as that’s about the time her train would pull into her stop, and she didn’t want to miss it because she’s sleeping. This app solves a known problem for many, I’ll be sure to share it with her!
Do you think the application is priced reasonably?
Yes. Of course, you’ll always get more people with a free app, but keeping it under $2.00 is really important. Unless you add many additional features, I’d keep it at this price point. While you’re trying to gain market share, you might also consider a promotion for a .99 cents download.Â
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I like this app, quite a bit.  It’s simple, clear, and easy to follow. One thing that struck me is that it’s a little boring visually. Some may like to add basic features to enhance the look and feel. While I mentioned above that I like its simplicity, adding in an option to add a background picture, change the font, or, download new alarm ringers, may give the app the level of customization and personalization that many enjoy. However, don’t lose the basic use – it’s easy, and that’s why I like it.
Also – I love the alarm sounds – the bicycle bell is so cute and fun! I’d like to see more options. It’s the little things J
Thanks for letting me preview – it was fun! Good luck!Â
What do you think of the user interface?
First of all, it was really easy to download. I think it is really user friendly, I can easily find where I am.
How easy is it to add an alarm?
It was easy, because the map is really transparent so I can easily catch my place what I am looking for. But what about the fact if I am not know exactly the address? In this case this application is not so useful.
How easy was it to set the alarms location?
See my comment above.
What do you think of the applications performance?
I tried to find my place with the application and it was successful:) And for me is really useful, because I am alwys afraid to fall asleep and miss my stop on the train and on the bus too.
Do you think the application is priced reasonably?
I think it is reasonable for those who needs this service during their life. Nowdays what should you get for this amount? Almost nothing, one Coke is more expensive. So based on my opinion the value and the price are in line with each other.
Download the Last Stop App from the AppStore.
The Download was Successful!
What do you think of the user interface?
Considering the fact that I never heard of such a useful application, it was easy to understand HOW TO take advantage of the app features.
How easy is it to add an alarm?
Adding the alarm was easy as 123. There were no TECHNICAL issues and I didn’t have to contact customer support for assistance. That’s a PLUS in my book. All you do is set a location and it’s pretty self-explanatory.
How easy was it to set the alarms location?
Setting the alarm location was just as easy as downloading the app and adding the alarm.
What do you think of the applications performance?
I set a location and set the alarm and there were no issues. The app was on POINT.
Do you think the application is priced reasonably?
In my opinion, you get what you pay for. This app is amazing and the price is reasonable in my book.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
The reason why I love this so much is because first, I never knew it existed, and second I would highly recommended it to ANYONE who need directions or need to be notified when a particular location is nearing. I ride the city bus sometimes and now I have a tool I can use and inform others that ride the bus as well….lol Yay! Thank You for sharing this information.

Download the Last Stop App from the AppStore. Done. I found it under the title of “GPS Alarm – Last Stop”
What do you think of the user interface? This was easy to use and I didn’t have to spend time trying to figure out how to use this; if you can read, you will quickly be on your way to using this alarm for its intended purpose. I don’t use public transportation much, so I can easily see where this app would be very useful to alert me to when my stop is coming up.
How easy is it to add an alarm? It was very easy and fairly intuitive for me to add an alarm; I had to do a little searching for where I wanted the location and I fumbled with this a bit, but it’s a pretty straigthforward app.
How easy was it to set the alarms location? This was the challenging part for me, and I actually had to google an address for the location where I wanted to go. Once I had my address destination, then it was easy to set the alarm location.
What do you think of the applications performance? I don’t have a subway near me, nor did I actually get on a bus and try the app, but because I know how GPS works, I can easily envision that the alarm, once set, would properly alert me at the proper time to pay attention and get off at the correct stop. Next time I’m in Chicago riding the Blue Line, I won’t have to worry about paying attention to the stop right before my stop; I’ll be able to relax and enjoy the ride now that I’ll be in the good hand of Last Stop alerting me! I’ll look like a veteran commuter.
Do you think the application is priced reasonably? I think for people that solely rely on public transportation that $1.99 is a good price point and probably well worth it, especially if they’ve ever missed a stop due to napping or otherwise being distracted. I think .99 might be a better price for both seasoned and occassional commuters though. A seasoned commuter knows how many mintues their commute is, and instead of spending $1.99, they could always just set their phone alarm to ring. But for the .99, I think they probably wouldn’t balk at paying that for the convenicne of using Last Stop.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have. Again, as only an occassional public transportation commuter, I can definitely see the benefits in an app like this. I never quite know when my stop is coming up and I really have to pay attention to the stop before my stop, so I don’t miss my stop. Nice app, I will use it next time I’m in Chicago.
Download the Last Stop App from the AppStore. Completed. I thought I could download the app straight from the App Store, but I had to find it via Itunes. I believe it would be easier if interested customers could download it immediately from the App Store.
What do you think of the user interface? I must say that the interface is VERY easy to navigate! It is not too complicated, that even those who are not exactly ‘tech-savy’ can be able to use this app easily. Everything you need to do is right there in front of you, no need to search aimlessly to do a simple task.
How easy is it to add an alarm? Very easy! All you have to do is go to ‘Alarms’ -> Click ‘+’ to add an alarm -> And at this point, you have a nice selection of alarm choices to choose from!
How easy was it to set the alarms location? I had no complications setting the alarm. I like to sleep while using public transportation, so I set the alarm right when I got on the bus. Worked just fine, woke me up just in time for me to get off my stop.
What do you think of the applications performance? Excellent! It did not lag, or have any connection issues with the application.
Do you think the application is priced reasonably? I believe there should be a ‘Free’ option so that everyone could at least try it out, and if they like it, they can buy it at full price. The full price is very reasonable and cheap as well.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have. I must say that I saw this app earlier! It is very convenient for my family and I to use. When we use public transportation, at least one of us likes to quickly nap for most of the ride. And I hate missing my stops, especially if its for school, or an important appointment! But with the help and easy interface of this app, I’ll never have to worry ever again 😀 Great app!
Download the Last Stop App from the AppStore.
Easy. Downloaded through AppStore on my iPhone.
It was the frist app on the list.
What do you think of the user interface?
The interace is very good, without too many unnecessary buttons, and thanks to the compatibility with the multitasking, it is a true iOs app style.
Already It’s simple, I’m not bored by ads, pointless lists or distracting tabbar and with a simple and intuitive interface for fast alarm creation; this is very important to be a very good app
Everything is ok, but I think that the application needs a new icon.
How easy is it to add an alarm?
It’s easy like to set an allarm with the clock native app, but with a lot of amazing features.
Frist i tap on the button on the right, then i select the proximity just dragging with my finger, and at the end i selected the name of the alarm and the kind of Alert, like “beep” or other good sounds.
How easy was it to set the alarms location?
It’s very easy but if you try to select such a narrow street without writing it, there are few problems; luckily I always had an address to use and i haven’t much problems.
What do you think of the applications performance?
The application is very well structured, and from this point of view is pretty good.
Using it for a bit of days I can confirm that no problems or bugs plague the app, and it’s always been very precise and accurate in indicating the distances thanks to the perfection using of the GPS.
Even if we leave it open in the background, this app does not consume too much battery, and this allows us to use it frequently.
Do you think the application is priced reasonably?
Well, 1.99 $ there aren’t too much for the features of this application, but maybe you could make weekly offers, reducing the price for few cents.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I really like this app but there are a few things to change or add, as:
1) the ability to download new sounds alarm
2) new icon to increase the visual impact and to draw us to buy it.
3) Last but not least is that you need to make this app compatible with systems prior to 4.0, because this deprives you of many potential customers holders of iPhone 3G or other devices that are on 3.1.3.
Download the application:
I had to first download iTunes which was free, I liked that. I searched around a little before I actually did the download reading through everything. It was simple to download. The version 1.3Â I downloaded was 8.0 MB.
What do you think of the user interface?
I thought that it was user friendly. There are a lot of nice features such as background location tracking, displays optimised graphics, the location services is only enabled when the alarm is active which will result in saving the life of the battery, map view, and you can search for business/landmarks to name a few of the features.
How easy is it to add an alarm?
Adding the alarm wasn’t hard. You added the alarm from the right side of the screen. The alarm was very user friendly when adding it.
How easy was it to set the alarm location?
If I didn’t know the area, I more than likely would have had a hard time trying to figure out the location to set the alarm. The alarm wasn’t to hard to figure out. I set the alarm for the mailbox at fifty meters and tried it out and it worked. I liked the fact that you had a choice of alarms sounds to chose from.
What do you think of the application performance?
Once I set the alarm for the mailbox at fifty meters and tried it out there was no problems, the alarm worked just fine. I didn’t have any problems or bugs to work out with the application performance. I think at some point in the future that there will be a need to update the application. I was a little suprised that you could set the alarm as far away as five thousand meters.
Do you think the application is priced reasonably?
I would say that the price was a fair amount. Really I expected it to cost more with all the features. The price seemed a little cheap but maybe so more people would buy the proximity alarm.
Please share any additional feedback/comments that you may have.
I noticed at the website it had a rating of four stars. This is a different type of an alarm which was a wonderful learning experience. I don’t use the bus or train but it still is a good application to use as when your driving in an unfamilar area and you get close to your turn off, the alarm would signal that your turn coming up.
