1) What is your initial impression of the site?
Â
FYI: I’m a career professional (career coach, résumé writer, etc.)
Â
I notice first that you actually analyze the résumés and LinkedIn profiles. Very interesting that a LinkedIn profile can be used. I also see that this is an aggregate site like Indeed and SimplyHired.
Â
From the spelling of “analyse,†my assumption is that you are not in the US, but you use the word “résumé†and not “CV,†so you are probably not in England either. A little more research and I see you’re in Australia.
Â
“Let us find jobs for you†is front and center. From the appearance this looks like a job site, rather than a recruiting agency. The blue sky and clouds is bright and cheery, something that many jobseekers need.
Â
Normally, I like graphics or videos higher on the home page. But this really says it all.
Â
2) If you were looking for a job, would you find this a useful service? Why so?
Â
I don’t know. I’m intrigued that you’re using the new algorithms that I’ve heard are coming to job sites. I would be very interested in seeing if it works better than ATS. I would want to understand how the algorithms work. And I’d want to know if the only documentation that can be uploaded are résumés and the written part of LinkedIn profile. Can you use the media that can now upload to the profiles or can the information a prospective employer sees include a link to the job seeker’s LinkedIn profile? Even the best résumé only tells part of the story.
Â
In order to know for certain if it is something that I would want to use myself or recommend to clients, I would really need to explore more. And it looks interesting.
Â
From my personal perspective, I tell my clients and other connections that networking is the best way to find a job, but to use all resources available. However, most job sites are not very good. Aggregate and industry/profession specific sites are better.
Â
So if you are able to keep in touch as you continue to work on this, I would like to really see it in action.
Â
3) If you were employing, would you be encouraged to create an account or sign up for a free trial? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Â
If there were a website that did a better job than ATS, a site that could really select the best candidates, I would definitely be interested.
Â
Now, I would want to know more about the algorithms and how it makes the selection. Is it strictly picking out keywords or is there more? Hiring managers more than HR know that there are intangibles. Someone could appear to not be right for a position, but have some qualifications that aren’t mentioned in the job description that makes the person an outstanding candidate.
Â
I see that the Jojari does allow for refinement of search results, but I don’t know what that means exactly.
Â
4) Is there anything in particular you don’t like about the site?
Â
Don’t like? No.
Â
However, videos and graphics would be great. They add color and flair.
Â
And something that would give the site a little more personality to show visually that this is not just another job site. What? I don’t know exactly. I think I’d need to know more about you.
Â
5) Any other comments or suggestions?
Â
Not really. Not until I really have an opportunity to utilize the site.
Â
Maybe some way for job seekers to help each other. Job seekers network with each other both on and offline. They sometimes know what someone is looking for. So there may be a way for job seekers to recommend the site to their friends. Or if one of their jobs isn’t really right for them, but it is for a friend, they could forward the information.
Â
Keep up the good work. I look forward to learning more as the site progresses.
1) What is your initial impression of the site?
My first impression was the website looks pretty attractive to me, the two thing that caught my first attention is the blue box with the text Match with LinkedIn and the other thing is the pink box which stating Match to a resume. Within few seconds i can know what the site is about, what service the site provide and what can get from the site. The title is very clear and straightforward which is helping us to find a jobs. As i scroll down, there is one thing that makes me feel uncomfortable, which is there is blue highlighted area that talking about smarter job search, spend less time and etc. It makes me feel a little confusing when i read scroll through that part. When i was reading More about Jojari  with the 1,2,3,4 steps you stated and the blue highlighted part makes me feel like i scrolled until the end of the page and then people usually will put something like term & condition, contact us, FAQ and etc links on that part. But it doesn’t seems to be like that. I think you can change the blue color background into white and just color the border with blue color for the four thing you wanted to talk inside. Which it will look like four boxes that consist of smart job search, spend less time and etc. It will looks more nicer to me. Overall, the layout is very clean and simple. It’s make it clear what the site is about and it looks professional.Â
2) If you were looking for a job, would you find this a useful service? Why so?
Yes, i will definitely give it a try. Especially the match resume feature that you provided, it is very useful as i just upload my resume and it will search some kind of job that related to my resume. I also tried the match to LinkedIn Profile feature, for the allow access to LinkedIn, the password field is quite confusing, which u have two text fields that for the user to enter their password. But for the second text field it stating password inside, which it cannot enter anything inside. So i assume it is a Label. I suggest not to use text field to do a Label because it is quite confusing. Some sensitive user might think that the second text field is require user to re-enter their password just like a sign up process, when they click on it and cannot type anything they might think that there is some problem with the site and just leave the page. So, even it is a small thing, some sensitive users might not really understand the process. Come back to the question, i am very pleased with the feature you provided, and if i am looking for a job i will try it because it will not cost me anything to try.
3) If you were employing, would you be encouraged to create an account or sign up for a free trial? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
It depends on it worth for me to spend my time in going through the sign up process or not. To be considered as worth for me, your site must be a famous site which you have large amount of searcher or your site are potential to be a good jobs searcher for internet users. After look through your site, it makes me feel professional, it makes me feel you are taking serious about this matter and you really wanted to provide a efficient job search engine for everyone. Besides that, you also connected with LinkedIn which it makes me feel that you are serious in this matter. Therefore, I will definitely wanted to sign up for a free trial.
4) Is there anything in particular you don’t like about the site?
I think i have mentioned all the thing that i dont like or confusing when answering some of the question above.Â
5) Any other comments or suggestions?
For better understanding and quick pick up of how your site works to new visitors, you can have a step by step instruction, what are the only few step they need to do TO GET A JOB. Your site is helping users to look for a suitable job, so you must motivate and convince the user that your site really can help them. Internet is not like a real life product selling, because real life product selling they must prove its really work then the user will trust you and buy the thing with you. but in Internet, you can display picture, video, animation to convince people. You just show what they need to do to get their job. You cannot guarantee they will find their job, but your video, pictures will convince them that they will find their job in your website. Therefore,it is important for you to present how your site going to works and how you site will help them get their job. You can have a slideshow displaying few slides with few step on how your site works. Example, you can put step 1 login LinkedIn or upload Resume, Step2, your site will find the job that match them and display it, step 3 with the many results that displayed, pick 1 that they like and etc. The simpler the better, because people easily understand and they dont have to do much reading.
Hope my feedbacks help. All the best and good luck!
1) What is your initial impression of the site?
My initial impression is that this is a job-finding site, similar to Monster.com or Indeed.com. The color scheme is pleasing, the blue, white, and magenta offer enough variety to keep the look interesting, without being distracting or flashy. The site seems to feature interesting job-matching capabilities, allowing the user to narrow down the job offers to only those that they are interested in
Â
2) If you were looking for a job, would you find this a useful service? Why so?
Yes, I think this would be a useful service, as it is often difficult to select among hundreds of job postings. With the unique features to narrow down search results, I think I would have more success with this service than with competing services.
Â
3) If you were employing, would you be encouraged to create an account or sign up for a free trial? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
I think I would be interested in signing up for a free trial. In general, I like free trials, as they cost nothing. Then, if I found the service useful, I would consider signing up for an account.
Â
4) Is there anything in particular you don’t like about the site?
It is too early to tell what I would like or not like about the service, but the site seems well-designed, overall. I could not find information about the fee-structure for employers. I see that on the “Employers” page, there is a button that says “Sign up to our free beta.” Does this mean that there is currently no charge for employers to use the service, until it is out of beta? Aside from this minor confusing point, the site seems well set up.
Â
5) Any other comments or suggestions?
Maybe you could list some of the larger job boards that your service aggregates data from. I could possibly foresee some job seekers wasting their time by signing up for other job boards, not knowing that your service already contains their job listings.
1) What is your initial impression of the site?
I have a slow connection and while waiting for the home page to load at the browser window with jojari came up the words job search. That took all the guessing away and I found myself easily qualified as I am currently jobless. The simple layout with good wording and a clear message made my first couple of moments well spend. The way your website is laid out with short paragraphs, helped to keep my interest and got me hooked to want to learn more about the service you offer. On the right I noticed a button hat says “submit an idea” that did not quite fit for me as a first time visitor. Would rather see it as a help button, Live chat or quick sign up. The more people you can get signed up as quick as possible the better right?
On the testimonials there is no links for better and more complete testimonials and also missing personal faces that creates trust. Personally the phrase you use that personal information will never be used needs more assurance since it has been brought up.Â
I think with so many new websites that relay on computer programs to simplify the search, it is difficult to trust.Â
I scanned another minute over the home page and felt to click about us and read through the page. Words used in he second paragraph did not make sense.Â
“which we feel is broken”Â
I don’t quite understand how a hiring process can be broken. Would rather use the word lacking or complicated. Any word that will press someone’s hot button to what they feel is wrong with the hiring process.
Â
2) If you were looking for a job, would you find this a useful service? Why so?
I think for what you tell me in on the first page it would make things easy on my side. Have not used such a service before as what I do is more local that international. With fast changing world of the internet I guess that is the best way to go. Millions of jobs and no clue if you would match one.
Trust on a new website is key and I will try it just to see if you will be able to gain my trust. Most places over promise and under deliver. Hope you impress me….
3) If you were employing, would you be encouraged to create an account or sign up for a free trial? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Having worked on cruise ships dealing with thousands of guest from all over the world and being a manager of dinning operations it would a great help. Also having managed a very busy children’s play park that needs a lot a staff consistently I would sign up. The only draw back is that a CV can look great but constantly dealing with the public it does not present a personality and not sure if you can add it but with the cv if the candidates can place a 5 min you tube video, so before putting them up for interviews it would easy to cancel those out that does not have the best public personalities and not have to tell them no.
Â
4) Is there anything in particular you don’t like about the site?
They say first impressions last and after only spending 5 min on the site it felt for me as if I am going to be communicating with a computer program and would much prefer to have a more personal touch. Computers can pick up information but not personality is what I feel was lacking.
I also would have like to know more about the creators of the program/website and a little history of how it came to be.
5) Any other comments or suggestions?
On the home page a automated video is always a great idea for first time users. It makes it so much more personal and meeting the personality behind the vision is very good for trust. If this was someone’s life passion that face the frustration of not having a good job it will immediately have every one with the same needs, attention.
Colour is great and your message gets across directly and inviting.Â
Just a couple of pointers that you can consider.
– More pictures of people
– More words that describe how people feel that needs your service
– Video to show you exactly what to do.
Â
Hope it helped you with your service. With so many jobless people I belive you will do well on focusing the help companies finding competant workers.
All the best 🙂
1) What is your initial impression of the site?
I liked the site very much. Starting with the homepage, it was easy to identify the service Jojari provides. The info provided was easy to understand and the layout was easy to follow. It makes me want to look around and learn more about the site.
I especially like that the process is outlined at the homepage. I also like that testimonials were included. It shows that people have already tried using the service.
The other pages were informative as well. It was easy to navigate around and look for answers to questions I have about the service.
The colors are cool to the eyes. I felt like it wasn’t too formal/business-like which makes it a lot better – it helps relieve the tension in looking for a job.
Â
Â
2) If you were looking for a job, would you find this a useful service? Why so?
Yes, definitely. When I was searching for work online, I had to visit different job listings in different sites. It was tough to keep track of or find specific work. With this kind of service, it will be a lot easier. I don’t have to repeatedly input my details/specifications.
Â
Â
3) If you were employing, would you be encouraged to create an account or sign up for a free trial? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Yes, to test the service first. I think the ability to filter applicants is very useful. It cuts down the time to go through the applications. Also, I’m interested in how the process works as stated in the Employer’s FAQ. I am curious about the “No more maintaining software, databases and files.” part so I would like to see how it goes.
Â
Â
4) Is there anything in particular you don’t like about the site?
I just find the options for browsing jobs a bit tedious (I guess it’s because I have no resume or account linked to it). I find myself repeatedly entering my location if the results are zero.
Still under “browse jobs”, I also find it rather hard to scroll down the page to get to the breadcrumbs because the “Browse jobs by industry”,”Browse jobs by job title” and “Browse jobs by skill” options disappear after doing a search. Maybe it would be better to move the breadcrumbs to the upper part or maybe not remove the options at all.
The “Browse by industry”… options could also get very long when opened. Users might have trouble scrolling back to the top or to the bottom of the page because of this.
Â
5) Any other comments or suggestions?
I am just wondering whether the listed job gets updated as well if its original post is changed or updated or deleted.
I like the layout of the site. Information about the service is easy to find.
Browsing through the job list is also easy (except for the navigation issues I mentioned earlier). The details of the job are listed neatly which is great.
All in all I think this site offers a great service many users will find useful.
