  1. 1) My first look at the Miicard site was interesting. At first glance, the website looks like an IT website. It looks very technical savvy and it looks eye catching.

    2) On the why use it page, it is very clear why this service is needed and what it does. I believe that this service is useful.

    3) Yes. You prove your identity online via passport or driver’s license. Then you use your identity online on different websites.

    4) This seems like a promising service but i would be too afraid to use this service in fear of getting my identity stolen.

    5) I really like this website. It looks tech savvy. The service seems really promising but it also seems very dangerous at the same time.

  2. 1: Look around the home page-what is your initial impression of what you see?

As i looked over the website I liked the color scheme and the ease of finding the information regarding the site. I don’t like having to think to much about scrolling through a website page looking for information. I get frustrated very easily and this website was not frustrating at all to me. I watched the home page presentation and felt enlightened on this miiCard service.

2: Is miicard useful, is it clear why is it needed & what problems it solves?

miiCard is useful because in these days of computer hacks and such people/businesses who handle business online need to trust that the transactions are protected and with the identification verification that this service offers the transactions are protected and validated too. The problem this service solves is by giving more trust and less stress on the buyer of an item or anyone associated with the online process. It then makes for a smooth transaction.

3: Do you understand how miiCard works?

After going through the site I do understand how the service works.  When your dealing with people/business online, from what I have learned when they know you are associated with miiCard they are more confident to do business with you. This is because your identity is verified fromt he start and the questions are limited.

4: Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, signup for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

I would gladly sign up with wiiCard if/when i do a lot of business online. The limited free service is a great incentive and the monthly price is low for what the service offers. people need to to feel safe and secure when doing business online due to all the hackers that are out there.

5: Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I don’t have a negative opinion about miiCard. I believe if I venture out to do business online I would use this service. I would feel confident on both ends.

  3. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
The design and color combinations are perfect aside from the fact that you’ve posted a video regarding the flow of the system yet you’ve left the supporting details below it which will enable the user to scroll down the pages, and always bear in mind that not all end-users knows how to do the scrolling. The testimonials container looks perfectly fit, bottom links looks good too, and about the footer, i hate the sharing options in SNS  (Social Networking Sites)  placed in this section ONLY.
    2) Is miiCard useful, is it clear why it is needed and what problems it solves?
Yes it is, since it can assure a 99% of real identity of a person in cyberspace which we all know a place of fraud and falsification, moreover it can help ease the verification process either online or offline faster than the casual procedures. In addition to that, in future, i think that this miicard would be useful as a Valid ID since it would fulfill the gaps in the level of trust.
    3) Do you understand how miiCard works?
Yes. With the use of your online back account, miicard will use your information (except for the most sensitive part of the online bank account) which will serve as your identity in the cyberspace since we all know that having a bank account either online or offline needs to have a LEGIT and REAL personal information.
    4) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Yes, since I’m aware and greatly affected of gaining a high level of trust in the cyberspace specially in meeting strangers, conducting online deals and trades and looking for job as well.
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Regarding the wide explanation of how and what is miicard is placed on the home page, i suggest to have it on a side panel just beside the centered and embedded media and have it right aligned so we can lessen scrolling within page. For the sharing stuffs in SNS it would be better if it already exposed at the top most of the site since it will be a good buy and eye-catcher specially to those end-users who are greatly inclined in SNS.

  4. 1.  I looked around the home page.  I immediately liked how crisp and clear the content appeared and the colors meshed well together. I thought the logo was very simple but effective.

    2.  The video and the tabs shows exactly why the Mii Card could be useful.  I can see what problems it can solve but the site states, ” You are in control of who sees your data at all time”.  It is unclear to me what that means.  I understand how it would be useful on data sites, if the sites make the use of Mii Card a requirment for all members and the same for any site that requires personal verification.

    3.  I am not encouraged to sign up for a free card because I do not know enough about the company and its security capabilities to protect the information I provide right now.  Free doesn’t drive me to enroll or register for any product.  I do not mind paying for piece of mind, if it works properly.

    4. Additionally, there are several banks that allow you to apply for accounts and credit cards online using your social security number.  Will Mii Card eliminate the need to provide that information? I had to review the video more than once to clarify how it would be utilized but never received a clear picture of how it changes the process of security that is already in place; I think many financial institutions will use it as a secondary validation tool versus the primary source of verification.

  5. 1)  My initial impression of the site is it is very easy to read and I immediately understand its purpose. The colors are sleek and there isn’t a lot of clutter on the page. The links stand out and it is easy to navigate.

    2) It is very clear what the purpose of miicard is and I definitely understand why it is needed and the problems it solves.

    3) The site makes it very clear and easy to understand how it works, I was able to figure out its purpose and how it works within seconds. It is very direct and to the point.

    4) I definitely feel like if I had a reason to prove my identity online it would be a great service to sign up for.  I would definitely sign up for a free trial.

    5) I think it’s a well put together, simple site to navigate and clear in its purpose and I like the simplicity of the page design and layout, placement of links etc. It is also a great and useful idea and presented as such.
