About MusikPitch:
MusikPitch brings the power of crowdsourcing to the songwriting industry. It’s an online marketplace that connects talented songwriters with music supervisors, studios, brands, and anyone else looking for custom songs and music. Clients post their specific song requirements to MusikPitch, and a passionate community of songwriters from around the world compete by submitting their original tracks for each opportunity. It’s an easier and far more efficient way for companies to find the right talent for their songwriting needs, while simultaneously empowering the songwriting community with a brand new market for their music making talents.
The MusikPitch marketplace can be used for virtually any custom songs or sounds —whether it’s for a company, studio, or individual. Project samples include music for corporate branding, movie trailers, TV shows, video games, as well as personal songs for reunions, parties, weddings, schools, and more. MusikPitch charges a small flat fee and 15% of the prize fee to post a new music project. The site and service are completely free for songwriters.
For brands and music supervisors:
It’s never been easier to source custom music. As soon as a project holder posts a new project, songwriters begin competing for the project’s prize. MusikPitch’s well-developed songwriter community lets corporate brands and music supervisors tap into the diverse skills and creativity of established songwriters with years of industry experience, as well as emerging and independent talent. The unique song pitching format eliminates the risk typically associated with hiring a songwriter. At the end of the project, clients simply pick their favorite song, release the prize to the winning songwriter, and leave with a custom song they know they love. With MusikPitch, companies source custom songs on their own terms, with 100% satisfaction guaranteed.
For songwriters:
Regardless of location, background, or experience, talented songwriters can get their music heard and win contracts on MusikPitch. The online marketplace offers a professional and secure environment for songwriters to find interesting projects, compete for specific opportunities, grow their client base, and most importantly — get paid for their talent and skills in an increasingly challenging industry. MusikPitch songwriters instantly see the latest opportunities from a wide range of clients and project types. It’s a straightforward approach that shows who needs custom music, what kind of song they want, and what they’re willing to pay.

Pretend you are a filmmaker or advertising agent needing a custom song for a film or commercial. Then visit https://musikpitch.com and take a look at the homepage for 5 seconds. As someone needing music, would you understand MusikPitch and see the benefit of using it right away?
Yes, I see the benefit, but I see a potential flaw: You would need a large community of songwriters working on this project, and if the requestor is not willing to pay an amount worth the work involved, then it would fail.
I think it would help if you had a reasonable price listing to start at. What if a film-maker or agent does not know where to start his price floor at?Â
Say you were ready to get a custom song made; how easy or hard is it to get started from the MusikPitch homepage?
Launch Contest button is easy-to-find, and the categories are broken down into neat categories. What if they have a need that does not fit appropriately within your categories? I think you should add a custom category option to type in one.
Do you find the order of steps to take logical?
I found the steps to set up the contest straightforward, and easy to do.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
I see current contests, most under $500, and a few in the $2,000 range. Would you consider offering a “Promoted†or “Featured†option available to the requestor, (they would have to pay the up-front fees, but in exchange their contest would be listed first regardless of time left in the contest.
I do think you have a nice website, nothing cosmetically wrong. I think you have a potential here. Could you address the potential flaw pointed out in Q&A #1? Do you think that your site will attract more amateurs than professional composers?  Mainstream movie companies will want to get songs already made and owned by large record labels. So do you consider your target market for independent films/website owners/small time gigs?
I think if you don’t already have a business plan, coming up with one of these would help you focus on your target market so you can streamline your efforts.
Pretend you are a filmmaker or advertising agent needing a custom song for a film or commercial. Then visit https://musikpitch.com and take a look at the homepage for 5 seconds. As someone needing music, would you understand MusikPitch and see the benefit of using it right away?
Yes I understand how to use the site, it explains it to anyone interested in using it right on the page. By explaining the system on the home page more people will be wanting to see what they can do. The explanation is extremely good because it really pops out at you and it is in just three simple steps; it catches your eye when you get to the site.
Say you were ready to get a custom song made; how easy or hard is it to get started from the MusikPitch homepage?
It is not hard at all from what the instructions are telling us. In fact, the system is quite easy all the person must do is describe what kind of music they would like the song to be and what the reward is then launch the contest. After that its cake, just sit back and wait for the music to come flooding in and listen to the best ones.
Do you find the order of steps to take logical?
Absolutely, I think the order is right on the dot. There cant be any other order that would make sense. of course choosing the winner would have to be last. Also you cant launch a contest if there is no description of what you are looking for. This is the only logical orethe steps could be put into.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
The site is extremely simple; however seems very productive to the people that will be using it. It has many colors on the site and they are perfect it catches ones eyes without going to overboard. Everything is very organized on the site and put into tabs and not just scattered all over the site.
Pretend you are a filmmaker or advertising agent needing a custom song for a film or commercial. Then visit https://musikpitch.com and take a look at the homepage for 5 seconds. As someone needing music, would you understand MusikPitch and see the benefit of using it right away?
I do understand what MusikPitch is about. I think you do a good job of explaining how it works.
I do see the benefit of using it right away if someone wants a song right away. It’s a simple process that can be done in a few simple steps.
Say you were ready to get a custom song made; how easy or hard is it to get started from the MusikPitch homepage?
I think it is very easy to get started from the homepage. You have a HUGE launch button to get started right under the three steps. I don’t think you can get any easier than that. I also like the categories that you can pick through.
Do you find the order of steps to take logical?
Yes, I do think the order of steps are logical. You pick a category that you want and then name the contest and answer questions about what you are looking for. I like how you can add videos or sound clips to give the songwriters a better opportunity to know what the person is looking for. I think the steps that you have and the order they are in are good to go.

I like the browse contest section. That helps give a field of how much people are awarding to people for their contests. I like how it also shows how many entries have entered the contest. I wasn’t sure how many people would enter if you have a smaller amount, but I have seen a lot of people enter just $50.
Pretend you are a filmmaker or advertising agent needing a custom song for a film or commercial. Then visit https://musikpitch.com and take a look at the homepage for 5 seconds. As someone needing music, would you understand MusikPitch and see the benefit of using it right away?
I see two different messages: being able to get the songs I need for my website or commercial. But the header below that says “Run Music Contest on Musikpitch”.
At first glance that might confuse the reader. Is this a music contest site, or is this a site that allows me to choose musik samples?
Have your main selling point on the home page. I would make the music contest a separate tab in the navigation bar.
Say you were ready to get a custom song made; how easy or hard is it to get started from the MusikPitch homepage?
Very easy. The process bar showing you what step you’re on makes it easy to see where in the process I am when trying to get a song made or ordered to be made.
Do you find the order of steps to take logical? Yes.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have. Also, the tab: SONGWRITERS. If I click that, I see a list of other songwriters. If I were a songwriter, I would assume there would be information for me as a songwriter and how musik pitch would help me. Or how I could contribute to musik pitch. This would be the ideal tab to put your songwriter video.
Otherwise, I like the site. I think it’s simple to navigate through and the web theme is pleasing to the eye.

Yes, I can understand the benefit of using the website. In just this short period of time, I think it could be a win win for both the parties.
Say you were ready to get a custom song made; how easy or hard is it to get started from the MusikPitch homepage?
It’s a fairly simple process and if you have any questions they have the number to call right under the big orange launch button. You really can’t miss it and there is also a button to click on if you want to chat with anyone about a question.
Do you find the order of steps to take logical?
Easy process, would not have any issues getting started with the process

I think your site looks great and it will pique the interest of the reader to continue and find out what you have to offer. I read your FAQ and it answered all the questions that I had. I think this might be a great site for a new and upcoming artist to get noticed. Good Luck
Pretend you are a filmmaker or advertising agent needing a custom song for a film or commercial. Then visit https://musikpitch.com and take a look at the homepage for 5 seconds. As someone needing music, would you understand MusikPitch and see the benefit of using it right away?
Yes, I would see the benefit, but at first I was confused by the phrasing of “Run a music contest.” It seemed to not make sense until I read some more information on the homepage.
Say you were ready to get a custom song made; how easy or hard is it to get started from the MusikPitch homepage?
It seems incredibly easy to get started from the homepage, as you have a couple buttons that allow me to start a contest.
Do you find the order of steps to take logical?
Yes, they are logical and easy to understand, which is lovely.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
The chat function and open calling line are quite useful and a nice touch for the customers. The chat function was actually one of the first things I noticed about your website.
The “Browse Contests” button is really interesting, and is helpful in determining what price people ought to offer. I was not aware that the contest creator could choose not to award a prize until I read through that section, and did not see that information in the “How It Works” section.
Pretend you are a filmmaker or advertising agent needing a custom song for a film or commercial. Then visit https://musikpitch.com and take a look at the homepage for 5 seconds. As someone needing music, would you understand MusikPitch and see the benefit of using it right away?
I did see the benefit absolutely. I understood how to use it though I do think there could be some confusion that arises with the button verbage. I was confused by the reference contest and so I scrolled dow to the bottom where it said music for films and then realized that the launch a contest button was referring to you making a request. I personally think that describe your project or even launch a project would be a stronger way to get the point across.
Say you were ready to get a custom song made; how easy or hard is it to get started from the MusikPitch homepage?
Once I figured out that launch a contest was a way to get the ball rolling the rest of the steps were easy to follow and self explanatory.
Do you find the order of steps to take logical?
Yes I thought they were logical and ran the gammet so they were very thorough and there was more likelihood you got what you wanted made to order which is always an encouraging sign.
Pretend you are a filmmaker or advertising agent needing a custom song for a film or commercial. Then visit https://musikpitch.com and take a look at the homepage for 5 seconds. As someone needing music, would you understand MusikPitch and see the benefit of using it right away? Absolutely. It’s a very eye catching, fun looking site.  From my brief look, I completely understand how it works and I see the benefits of getting to choose from multiple composers.
Say you were ready to get a custom song made; how easy or hard is it to get started from the MusikPitch homepage? It’s extremely easy to begin using. I simply found my category, typed in a few simple requests and I was ready to begin.   From the categories listed above, I knew I wanted to begin with “Launch Contest” because after all, that is the main idea behind the website. I would immediately understand that that is where I need to begin.
Do you find the order of steps to take logical? To me, the steps are in perfect order. If the person fills them out completely, as instructed above the steps, I believe there shouldn’t have to be any questions as to what they are seeking when an artist reads over their request.
I think that by offering 100% money back program, your site will be very competitve. I feel this guarantee helps to make the customer feel secure about using your service, but yet keeps the quality of the artist on the right path. It makes me feel very comfortable with your site.
The first thing that catches my attention is the illustrations. They obviously indicate an order to some sort of way to get music. I go over the 5 seconds and take another 5 or 6 to read an understand the steps described under each illustration. Honestly, at first sight, the website gives me the impression that you will be able to make some sort of money by way of making music and posting it here. Relating the money bag to the music makes it seem so and does not give me the impression of naming my own price. Maybe if the illustrations/steps were brought down a bit on the homepage and maybe focusing on a Flash intro area up top would help grab attention with some cathcy lines or motto. After assesing what the site does and what it’s about, I probably would be inclined to look into using the services or at least researching the possibilities by looking up reviews or whatnot.
The website seems quite simple to use. The concept of a contest to make music is not so appealing. All of the steps are very clear. Even for someone with little or no experience in the industry, for example a new .com startup would find it comforting to know that this site offers such a user-friendly website.
At first I did not feel 100% comfortable with the concept of the website. After looking around for several minutes, I discovered the Browse Contest tab. This makes me see the idea in a whole new light. As I had mentioned earlier, maybe it is the way it was presented on the homepage that had me a little confused. Great idea! Work on the homepage and the idea will seem more inviting and exciting for both people looking for music and those making it.

Pretend you are a filmmaker or advertising agent needing a custom song for a film or commercial. Then visit https://musikpitch.com and take a look at the homepage for 5 seconds. As someone needing music, would you understand MusikPitch and see the benefit of using it right away?
I can see the benefit right away of holding a contest to find the best talent for the product I needed. However, my largest concern is with the number of talent on this particular website.
Â
Say you were ready to get a custom song made; how easy or hard is it to get started from the MusikPitch homepage?
It is very simple to log onto the home page and click start and contest, which will lead you through the prompting of the different aspects of the site.
Â
Do you find the order of steps to take logical?
For anyone who has used a website the steps are logical, however I would change the start a contest to begin using our product or something simular.

Overall the layout is beautiful and easy to use. The first set up of the homepage looks like it might be a scam though. A little cleaner lines would help eliminate that fear.
Pretend you are a filmmaker or advertising agent needing a custom song for a film or commercial. Then visit https://musikpitch.com and take a look at the homepage for 5 seconds. As someone needing music, would you understand MusikPitch and see the benefit of using it right away?
Within the five second time slot I would have to so no I didn’t understand what it was right away. The title create and launch really don’t express what it written in the context box below. After reading those then I fully understood what the website was about and trully saw the benefit in it.
Say you were ready to get a custom song made; how easy or hard is it to get started from the MusikPitch homepage?
I would have to say it was quit easy to get all the information ready for a pontential song writer. I like how you could upload materials, sometimes people need a pysical example to fully understand that the customer needs. You could even upload of video of yourself describing what you need, even better.
Do you find the order of steps to take logical?
Yes, the steps were in the right order. I liked how you could save and finish it later. That gives the person the freedom to complete it as their leisure.

The home page layout and colors choice it right on the money. It would be nice to see some testimonials or videos of success people have had using your website. That might confirm that this is a legitimate website. I would also suggest having a minimum offer per contest. If people are putting out really low prices then you won’t have a large pool of people to choose from.

The page seemed very clear, the button positioned very clearly and the as seen in at the bottom of the page seemed official.
Say you were ready to get a custom song made; how easy or hard is it to get started from the MusikPitch homepage?
I loved that there were examples of what to say and how to attract your audience to include samples of what you are looking for along with video samples!

Yes
Pretend you are a filmmaker or advertising agent needing a custom song for a film or commercial. Then visit https://musikpitch.com and take a look at the homepage for 5 seconds. As someone needing music, would you understand MusikPitch and see the benefit of using it right away? I would understand the advantages of using MusikPitch right away, but if I was a procrastinator the 14 day layover may be a problem. Otherwise, I would go for it.
Say you were ready to get a custom song made; how easy or hard is it to get started from the MusikPitch homepage? The site makes it easy and convenient to get started.
Do you find the order of steps to take logical? I find the steps logical, necessary, and all considering; someone new to the business or ignorant of the industry’s regulations may easily neglect issues such as licensing that MusikPitch addresses plainly as part of the steps of use of service.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have. The site is original and easy to navigate.

The site is dead on explaining simply how to go about getting the music you need. For someone who needs music I could definitely see the benefit of using it right away. Especially handy if you are on a tight deadline and need the music to come to you quickly.
Say you were ready to get a custom song made; how easy or hard is it to get started from the MusikPitch homepage?
In my opinion, very easy. I checked the how it works tab, then went to launch contest, the rest would be simply applying your needs. I did notice on the categories maybe there should be an other option in case you have needs that don’t fall into those categories.
Do you find the order of steps to take logical?
Very logical. No other order would work really. You would first identify what you need and how much you are willing to pay, launch your contest to get music submitted and then make your decision.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
Overall, the concept is good. With this setup, people that need music for different needs would be offered a variety I would think. I feel this would attract those looking for music that might not have a high priced budget. That in it’s self is a fair trade-off for the musicians. I’m sure there is plenty of talent out there that goes unrecognized due to not enough opportunities. The site is very attractive and well thought out. The concept is explained nicely.  Looks good.

I think that the Create, Launch, Award icons make it easy to see the purpose of this site. I also like the description line because it is very clear- “Need custom songs for movies, videos, commercial music, jingles and other custom music composed?†I think it should be more prominent or bolded or in orange under the logo, something that makes it more visible and catches your eyes. It’s interesting that it challenges the user to “Launch your music contest now!â€Â I like the simplicity of keeping the task simple and easy .
Say you were ready to get a custom song made; how easy or hard is it to get started from the MusikPitch homepage?
I really liked that the largest button on the homepage was the “get started†button. And I also appreciate that the “Questions?†bubble was continually up in the bottom right corner. It makes me more secure. If I need someone I know where to go. I like that you provided the user with categories to go through. As a voice coach for fifteen years sometimes I find that people know what they like but find it difficult to articulate it. Your category options help to narrow that process down in their minds and will insure that they are very specific about what they want.Â
Do you find the order of steps to take logical?
I found the steps very logical. I liked that they could upload music sample that they liked and video. I also think it is critical to ask for the target audience. It gives great confidence that the next step would be choosing a license. This step will protect both the songwriter and the user. Choosing a prize amount is an interesting idea. I wonder if suggestions are provided for the user? As a musician and songwriter I would probably not respond to contests that are low prize awards. But on the other hand if I were just starting out I might try a few to build confidence.

I think that the site is well organized, concise, clear and fun. I find the logo interesting and professional. I like the color scheme because it leaves enough white to type and not be distracted by graphics. I like that you can listen to the entries that were submitted. It’s also interesting that sometimes the prize is not rewarded. But after listening, I understand. I really found the youtube videos helpful for the “How it works†tab. I find this site intriguing and I may try it myself.Â
