{1.}Upon landing on the website, My Bucket List, the first thing I notice are the images of a notepad and skydiver jumping out of a plane…My initial impression is “generic”, as the home page has that type of feel to me… It does not look professional or very inviting to me. I am not immediately drawn to create a list of my life goals, because I feel no sense of enthusiasm or involvement towards this very plain page… Making a “bucket list” should be exciting, as it is coming from the heart and soul of a person… It should be somewhat intimate and heart warming… This website feels quite boring and a bit to basic…
{2.}
This process to “invite a friend from Facebook” was very straightforward…  It was simple to click a button and invite anyone I wish to…
{3.}
The process of editing my goals and list was streamlined and basic… I was easily able to do so and I like that feature alot!
{4.}
If I were to compare the 3 websites, I think this site would be right in between the other 2 websites as far as rating… The site bucketlist.net has welcoming and colorful graphics and looks very “put-together” in my opinion… The site is so easy to navigate that it is almost seamless in its design and flawless, the way the pages flow together… It draws me in and makes me “want” to stay and look around… It has a creative aspect to it and I really like that… The site bucketlist.org is extremely confusing to me and very cluttered… There are so many words and text and no direction or smoothness to the home page… I would not stay on this website even for a minute, as it has nothing inviting about it… Looks extremely “generic” to me, almost to the point of spam…
{5.}
The concept is great!!! I just think the site needs a bit more in terms of color and fun… It appears to be lacking the element of excitement… Perhaps a slideshow on the home page would draw people in for a further look… Maybe photos of genuine, authentic and happy people with a sense of “realness” to them would make me want to embrace what they have in their lives within my own…
1.) My first impression was that this would be a cool site, but the images along with the cartoon bucket and notepad together looked very un-professional. I did want to create a list, but was steered away due to the look/theme of the site.
Fortunately, after I signed up, the site looked great, and appeared much better than the initial landing page.
2.) Facebook friend connect worked great, it was very simple and straightforward.Â
3.) Yes, i love the list and editing features, that part of your site is great, I would work most on visual appeal.
4.) While the colors and visual appeal isn’t amazing, the actual service works on par with or better than the competitor sites that I have tried.
5.) Really all I would change to attract more users is the landing page(https://my-bucketlist.net), the colors and images do not work well together.Â
Perhaps you could add a few more images, but separate them into their own area, and possibly add some sample lists.
1) Visit https://my-bucketlist.net/ What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately
drawn to create a list of your life goals? Why or why not?
Once I got on the website, I was attracted by the simplicity of the look. However, I work as a web designer, so I might be subjective because I like simplicity. For a lot of other people, this simplicity may not be very appealing. Therefore, my first impression is of a non-very-professional website with many appealing aspects. I am not really inspired to create a list, unless I want to play a little and set up some short term goals, then check back the website in a few months and see how much I got done.
2) Invite a friend to connect to via Facebook. Was the process straightforward?
Yes, the process is easy.
3) Are you able to edit your goals and list easily?
Yes, this part is very easy and that is a plus. People like things to be done very fast over the Internet. They want everything to be instant and this is what you do so far.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like https://www.bucketlist.net/ and https://bucketlist.org?
Bucketlist.Net is a bit more appealing for the regular visitors due to the lively and warm colours. On the other hand, Bucketlist.Org has the same simplicity, although it has a few extra features you should consider implementing.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments/ideas you may have.
I think the website is way too simple. It is the type of website you join today and you forget about it. Therefore, I am pretty sure most of your visitors will not really return unless you do something about it. Add some applets, a few extra features and so on.
1) Visit https://my-bucketlist.net/ What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately
drawn to create a list of your life goals? Why or why not?
At first sight of your website, I thought that maybe you haven’t finished designing this and was only using a template.. Not to be harsh but it really does look like something you grab off a free template site.
But the concept of simplicity is a good. You did not over design and clutter your site.
I wasn’t enticed to do a list. There weren’t any encouragement to do so.
Nothing on the site indicates the ‘benefits’ of creating such a list.
I still created a list though, to test your site.
2) Invite a friend to connect to via Facebook. Was the process straightforward?
Yes. (just like my answer 😀 )
3) Are you able to edit your goals and list easily?
Yes. I like the fact that rearranging them were so easy! It was just drag and drop.. Very appealing to me was the auto-suggestions too 🙂
I was typing “ride a hot” and it suggested “ride a hot air balloon”
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like https://www.bucketlist.net/ and https://bucketlist.org?
Well, first of all…. they got the premium domain for this niche.
Both of them didn’t really grasp my attention well.
You would be at a better advantage if you improve your design and add more encouraging stuff for the people to make lists.
The thing I liked at bucketlist.org was that they somehow managed to explain what a bucket list is for.
Please take this into consideration..
Since you’re still in beta, I’m pretty sure a lot more work will be done.
With a better design and more info, you’ll be leading the bucket list type of sites.
Those two aren’t really that great…. I think you could do a lot better if you consider what we say..
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments/ideas you may
You’re site is simple and straightforward.
You have taken into account the ease of site usage..
And you have also created an atmosphere of community with “user profiles”
Just an improvement in design and layout of the site, plus explanation on what a bucket list is, and the benefits of making them will grab more attention to your site.
1) Visit https://my-bucketlist.net/ What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately
drawn to create a list of your life goals? Why or why not?
The website has a very nice page. The colors are excellent. The image of the man skydiving is terrific. The words are eligible and easy to read.
2) Invite a friend to connect to via Facebook. Was the process straightforward?
The Facebook connection is very straightforward. It’s right on the top of the webpage.
3) Are you able to edit your goals and list easily?
The process of editing your goals is very easy and basic.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like https://www.bucketlist.net/ and https://bucketlist.org?
The competitors website was much more difficult to understand and to naviagate through. Your website is very easy to navigate through and I really like the attractiveness of the page.
1) Visit https://my-bucketlist.net/ What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to create a list of your life goals? Why or why not?
I really liked the idea of this website but something about the pictures seemed a little boring to me. I’m not sure why, it just catching me and drawing me in visually. The content on the page was spot on and clearly written. I like how your gave suggestions and made a list that was incomplete to really make you think about what you would put on your own list. I like the colors on the site but again they didn’t seem to pull me in a want me to write. It would have been nice to see a video on the side to click on or a testimonial on the page. The bucket itself didn’t really fit the rest of the site as far a the sophistication, it looked more simple than the rest of the site itself. I did however like that the sites homepage was really short and compact putting on the most important on it.Â
2) Invite a friend to connect to via Facebook. Was the process straightforward?
Yes the process was seamless and easy. Great Job!
3) Are you able to edit your goals and list easily?
It was quit easy to login and I immediately got an email in my inbox. It was quick and easy to add and edit my list. I really liked the little drop down feature being able to add more details to my list. I almost didn’t see that the arrow was pointing down, so I think that needs to be made bigger or more noticeable. Again I quickly got another email when I added something to my list. A+ for the ease of use. I didn’t quit understand the little feather looking things under my name that said karma. It would be nice to if that was explained.Â
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like https://www.bucketlist.net/ and https://bucketlist.org?
While I wasn’t overly thrilled about the animation it was really catchy and bright. It was catchy in that nerdy sort of way. It was nice to see a ton of color right in front to see. Â I liked how the the other site I was able to see real people right their on the homepage. It was nice to see that a place to login or to sign up. It was also nice to see that one of the site had recent comments on the homepage. It’s nice to see how people feel about the site and what users are saying before you sign up. With your site I got no sense of what anybody else was feeling about your site positive or negative.Â
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments/ideas you may have.
I didn’t see where I would login if I did not have an account. I think there needs to a login tab on your page. Moving through the site in and of itself was really easy and I feel any user of any age would be able to navigate this site. As I stated before the sites design is one that doesn’t quit grab me and it seem to be to much white space all over the site. I would like to know what are global notifications? What are groups on this site? I would like your site to  engage a little more. Your information, as I stated earlier, is spot on but nothing really tugged at the heart to use this site. Personal touches with a site like this might move users to immediately sign up and start using it. Im not sure what difference is but when I signed out I was able to see Facebook member that are on your site that I was not able to see when I first entered your site. I can only assume that this is a different landing page than the site that I first clicked on. Here I see that I can easily sign in versus the other page there was nothing on it. Again add those personal touches, more colors and grab members with heartfelt and fun text.
Visit https://my-bucketlist.net/ What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to create a list of your life goals? Why or why not?
I was interested to create my bucket list, but I was not compelled to do so. There are no clear details or motivation why I should do so. I will just maybe do that initially and come back few time in a month.
I love the idea about the site, its simplicity. But I would quickly warn that most people are not just drawn by this. So I would love to see more conceptual figures and animation, not just for a sky diver.
There are so many empty spaces or will I say smaller page width. This is not catchy.
Invite a friend to connect to via Facebook. Was the process straightforward?
Yes, this process was swift and undemanding. But I would also love to see other social media site like twitter, Google plus…etc
Are you able to edit your goals and list easily?
Yes I love this part, simple and easy to use.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like https://www.bucketlist.net/ and https://bucketlist.org?
The content and activities is better than your following competitor’s site like https://www.bucketlist.net/ and https://bucketlist.org? I love the content and recent activity part of your site and features. But for the initial attention I am strongly drawn to https://www.bucketlist.net/. I want to help others. So also I want help to achieve my goals. This is a motivation to join and be part of the community.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments/ideas you may have.
I noticed that after registration I could immediately access my account, without receiving any confirmation massage. I could as well use an email address I don’t use frequently or mistakenly type the wrong one. Then this would be a problem for users who forgot their password and username.
Like I said earlier on, you need to improve the design of your site. You should still keep the simplicity, but make it busy for the eye. Your visitors needs reason to spend more time on the site, before deciding or taking advantage of the simplicity, so I would love to see more graphics and convincing point why to create a bucket list.
You should also make it easier to invite friends using contact from popular mail providers like yahoo, Gmail etc. Adding an IM with different Chat group from popular goals would also make a difference and set you apart.
Improve on this aspect of your site then you don’t have competitors

1) Visit https://my-bucketlist.net/ What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately
drawn to create a list of your life goals? Why or why not?
when pulling up the homepage, a few things I notice right away, is that there is no supplemental content. Meaning, there is no navigation links at the top of the page to help me understand what the page is for. Most professional webpages have links at the top to navigate the page, such as a contact us page, about us page, how to buy if you are selling something, and link us to helpful content. just reading the link I like the name because most people know what a bucketlist is and it is simple to understand and you lead the user to believe what this is for. I have never seen a page on the web like this, however I believe most people will just write their own list at home, however this being a internet savy world today, I believe a lot of people would actually use this site. I believe the page is to simple, although there isn’t much that you can go into detail about with a bucket list page, its a simple objective. So I dont think the page needs to be to intriguing. I do think it is a little to simple though and not as glamorous as it could be. I do not find myself stumbling across this webpage unless I was looking specifically to find a bucket list. I am encouraged to make a bucketlist, I have been thinking about it for some time. I think this gives the user the freedom to have it on the internet, because in this internet world I think it will be used and necessary to have. I am also encouraged to make a bucketlist here because it is free, and who doesnt like free.
2) Invite a friend to connect to via Facebook. Was the process straightforward?
yes very easy to accomplish. I also like at the top how you have the plugins for facebook, google+ etc. I think you should add in twitter. your main content of the page is very straightforward and easy to comprehend. I liked you on facebook which was easily findable, and at the top you have a plugin to “send” I sent this to a friend very easily, you had it all typed out and all I had to do was plug the friends name into the box to send them a invite. very simple and straight forward, I think a 5 year old could accomplish this task. So you did a nice job of accomplishing the connect a friend through facebook.
3) Are you able to edit your goals and list easily?
I logged in via facebook, instead of clicking the join free tab, lets see what happens if I do it via facebook. OK, upon joining with my facebook I see a list of tabs at the top, which is what I was looking for on your homepage an now I have that. I clicked the my list tab, an filled in a few entries. It was very easy to put things on my bucketlist, after entering a few entries, I was confused on how to edit a entry. I found it once i highlighted the particular entry that I wanted to edit. I think it would be easier to just stick those tabs on the right side of each entry, as opposed to having to highlight for it to popup. I wasnt sure how to edit it, but after highlighting it the tabs popped up to edit, enter photo (which is cool), a calender etc. I think it is ingenious to have this and a great idea. I think you can make the ways to edit it a bit more apparent. I am a seasoned veteran on the internet, but a lot of newer users may not know what the pencil means, calender etc. they may not even know that you can click those buttons
and accomplish a task. I however personally like it the way it is, I found it within 10 seconds of trying to edit it, I just fear for noobies it will be hard to understand and can be more user friendly. maybe add a short youtube video somewhere on the site, explaining how to operate the site.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like https://www.bucketlist.net/ and https://bucketlist.org?
I have never used either of the 2 sites listed above, but im giving them a glance at the moment. as you see on bucketlist.net they have the navigation links at the top. they also have a FAQ section which, I dont believe a lot of people want to sitown and writeout a email for their questions, I think they did a good job here by conveying user submitted questions and answers, instead of receiving tons of emails to answer questions. I believe bucket;ist.net has a more eye appeaing look to the site, as I said earlier I think yours needs to have a bit more color, it looks to simple. as far as bucketlist.org, wow, I really like this site It just looks very professional. It has all of the social site plugins easily available, navigation bar at the top, main content is very straightforward and to the point. I do like their main homepage better then yours however I like your interface for the actual bucketlist a ton better. Its very user friendly and easy to use. As far as homepage, I believe both sites have a far better edge on yours, but as far as user friendly list yours beats the two sites. I think if you jazzed your homepage up a bit it would be up to par with theirs, and then with the better bucket list interaction, that would put you in front of them in my opinion. your homepage just is to simple.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments/ideas you may have
I believe you need to have some color on the homepage. take the generic looking photos out, and maybe have some pics of people doing something more daring, and something you would only see on a bucketlist. A guy parachuting is to cliche for a bucketlist site, it feels as if your just going along with the typical bucketlist. reachout and strive to be different and put ideas into peoples heads as opposed to just doing the norm. I know it will be to demanding, but your domain name is far to in line with the others. me as a user im going to go to bucketlist.com, .net, or .org, before I even attempt to type in my-bucketlist.net. I just think your to in line with your competitors. It maybe to late for you to change the name, im not sure but I would try something interesting, like kickthebucket.com or something not in line with the other sites. Im sure what i menioned is already taken, but maybe try a different name if it is not to late. also I just noticed this, but its to late to go back and retype it. I see at the bottom of the page now that you have a FAQ section, most users dont make it to the bottom of a page, it’s hidden below the copyright and who ever scrolls down that far? I believe you should get a navigation bar, and include the FAQ in it, home, about us etc. My honest opinion is that you are following in line with the other sites, just think you need to find a way to be different and be that site that everyone is gonna choose over the other. Im just being honest here, I love giving reviews and being blunt about it. Good luck with your site! If you have any further questions reply in here, and I will be glad to answer them as best I can.
1) Visit https://my-bucketlist.net/ What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to create a list of your life goals? Why or why not
My first impression is that the site needs to have more colors, both blue and white and cold colors and the combination of them doesn’t make the site very inviting. Also I found that there is too much empty space that could be filled with useful information or pictures, and try to add some menus at the top of the pages where usualy most of the people would look for them.
2) Invite a friend to connect to via Facebook. Was the process straightforward?
This was an easy process, but why don’t you use other social sites, for example twitter as well…
3) Are you able to edit your goals and list easily?
I clicked on the join now it’s free button, and I like this feature of the site, the process of editing goals was understandable and very easy I think for everybody, drag and drop is cool and so far this was the best element of the site, I liked it.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like https://www.bucketlist.net/ and https://bucketlist.org?
Honestly, both bucketlist.net and bucketlist. org are a bit more appealing regarding the visual aspect, on the other hand with some improvements this site has the potential to equal them, I think your site is easier to navigate but try to work on the interface and try to add more infos.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments/ideas you may have.
The site has good features but the main page isn’t catchy enough, I think the first impression is very important and this aspect needs to be improved, I liked that the site is easy to use and easy to navigate, however I think you should add more social networking links this will bring more visitors to the page. Overall it isn’t a bad site but needs to offer more and needs to be more attention grabbing.
1) Visit https://my-bucketlist.net/ What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to create a list of your life goals? Why or why not?
The layout is too simple for me. There is a lot of white background and empty spaces. It looks monotonous and flat. It talks about a bucket list which everyone should be excited about but the webpage seemed so ordinary. It could use some colors or better pictures to liven it up. I was not immediately drawn to create a list of my life goals since the first page did not appeal to me. But when I signed up, I thought it’s not so bad after all. It has good content but it’s just not presented very well in the main page. I suggest you make the main page attractive because it is where you invite potential members to sign up. If they don’t like what they see at first, they are most likely to lose interest, no matter how good it is on the inside. First impressions last!
2) Invite a friend to connect to via Facebook. Was the process straightforward?
This one I had a little trouble looking for the Facebook invite. Well, I searched for a button that says anything about inviting friends from Facebook after I clicked on Facebook connect but I could not find it. I only found it after clicking on the “like” button and logging out and logging back in. There could have been an easier way but I learned it the hard way. Maybe it’s just me who had trouble with it because I don’t see anybody else complaining about it. Maybe you could place instructions on how to invite Facebook friends for dummies like me. Anyway, once I found the “invite friends from Facebook” button, it was all easy from there. It feels like I’m just using Facebook. I can even see a list of my Facebook friends by clicking on the “Friends” tab. Pretty straightforward after I got over the roadblock I mentioned above.
3) Are you able to edit your goals and list easily?
I was able to list my goals easily. But when I edited my list and saved the changes, the unedited one was still displayed. When I click on edit again, I can see that the item was already edited on the edit box but upon closing the box, the displayed list still did not change. I did it a couple of times and the result is the same. I tried logging out and when I logged back in, it was already edited.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like https://www.bucketlist.net/ and https://bucketlist.org?
The two competitors have advantages in their designs. They are more appealing to me, especially bucketlist.net. Bucketlist.net’s layout is simple yet elegant. It utilized different shades of blue and a nice background. You can make improvements in your design. Just look for the perfect combination of colors and place better pictures. In terms of functionality, I believe your website has a slight edge. Your interface reminds me more of Facebook’s, which is easy to navigate. People are already accustomed to Facebook. Perhaps they would prefer your website because of the similarities and the connection to Facebook. And that may be what sets you ahead of the others. But people have to view your main page first, so if they get turned off by it, how will they know your site is good? So make it attractive first, then people will follow.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments/ideas you may have.
Can you add a member’s log-in on your website’s main page? I can not directly log in via the main page which is http://www.my-bucketlist.net. I have observed that the member’s log-in is not on that address. Instead, it is at http://www.mybucketlist.remembered.com. I had to click on a link below, which is not easy to find, to get to the log-in area. I suggest you place a log-in area on your main page so that members can log-in immediately for convenience. Also, maybe you can add a chatbox, so members can chat with each other and gain new friends.

1) Visit https://my-bucketlist.net/ What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediatelydrawn to create a list of your life goals? Why or why not?
I clicked on the link and arrived at the site and my first impression was that the site was very generic. Â The site itself is very visually boring. Â I was not drawn to the site at all. Â The all-white background and the simple header are too plain. Â The homepage also uses about six different fonts, which makes it look amateur and indecisive. Â I do like the picture of the sky diver. Â I think that is a good image to feature. Â I also like the image of the notepad with the “Things I would like to do” list written on it. Â That image and font are very visually appealing.
2) Invite a friend to connect to via Facebook. Was the process straightforward?
The process was very simple as soon as I figured out where to go. Â I first went to the friends and invite friends tab and it would only let me enter my friends email addresses. Â I then went to friends/view all and clicked to find more friends on Facebook. Â It pulled up all of my friends and I easily clicked the ones I wanted to invite. Â It would be easier if you could invite Facebook friends and email friends on the same Invite Friends page.
3) Are you able to edit your goals and list easily?
Yes, it is very easy to list the items and edit them. Â The item addition process and list editing is very simple. Â The icons on the list are very helpful.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like https://www.bucketlist.net/ and https://bucketlist.org?
I like mybucketlist better than bucketlist.org because it is more user friendly. Â Bucketlist.org looks like a business site and I would like my bucket list site to look fun and engaging. Â Bucketlist.net is definitely a head above the competition however. Â From the first impression, it looks like a lot of fun and like the type of site I would like to use to share my bucket list.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments/ideas you may have.
I think the idea for this site is awesome, I just don’t think that mybucketlist is quite there yet. Â The content itself is great but I need to be more visually drawn to the site in order to continue using it. Â It is definitely on its way but needs work on the site background and header to make it POP and catch my attention. Â It needs to stick with one or two great, fun fonts to draw the reader in. Â I would also add a couple more neat images to round it out. Â The list ideas area of the homepage also needs to be corrected. Â Only a couple of the ideas have periods at the end, causing them all to run together in one jumbled mess. Â That area absolutely needs clarification. Â The site itself, once logged in, runs smoothly and is fun to use.
1) Visit https://my-bucketlist.net/ What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately
drawn to create a list of your life goals? Why or why not?
First, the looks: I like the clear design of the home page, but it has some parts that are very out of place. The header with “CREATE YOUR BUCKET LIST” doesn’t fit in too well. Overall the page looks somewhat like Facebook – and I guess it’s intentional – meanwhile that header is rather conservative-looking. It should be either lower-case or with a different font type in my opinion. Also it’s nice that you have a picture of a list and someone sky diving but they have such a strong stock photo feel to them (they probably are) that it makes the page look only semi-serious.
And the bucket image is probably not the best choice, at least it heavily reminds me on the windows’ recycle bin icon, might be just me though.
Overall the content of the home page explains it well what the site is about, especially with the list of suggestions at the bottom.
I can’t say I’m drawn to create a list. While after seeing the page I do think it is a nice idea, but the site itself just isn’t convincing enough to make me want to do it here. Other than having a more professional look, being able to see the already existing user’s lists would probably give more motivation to create my own, it just doesn’t feel personal now.
2) Invite a friend to connect to via Facebook. Was the process straightforward?
First, I’ve registered using the e-mail way. It was easy, and went just like any other such registration. However since this is a remembered.com site, maybe it could be mentioned whether you can use that account here or not. Not being registered with a facebook account I obviously could not invite facebook friends, however connecting in with my facebook account to the existing site account was just 2 clicks.
First a small thing: opening the friends page gives the message “You have no friends! Please make some.” Maybe I don’t have to explain how this doesn’t sound too great. It really should say that I have no one on my friends list and I should add some.
Inviting a friend through facebook looks easy enough, there’s a link for it on the main friends page. I think that link should be added to the invite friends page too though. Clicking it bring up the pop-up, but after selecting a friend and sending the request there’s absolutely no feedback. The facebook pop-up window closes and even my “Request sent” page is empty. Nevertheless it did send the request (to my other facebook account). Strangely enough this request tells that the app will share my achievements on facebook and asks for a permission while the registration one on your site did not.
Also neither of my accounts got the other one added as a friend, but the invitation itself worked.
3) Are you able to edit your goals and list easily?
Yes, it’s fast and easy. I would like the option to manually type in a deadline though, instead of having to search from a calendar, which in fact requires lots of clicking if I happen to have long term goals. Otherwise it’s really simple, I especially like that I can add such details but do not have to.
It’s also a very nice feature that I can import goals from other people’s lists.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like https://www.bucketlist.net/ and https://bucketlist.org?
bucketlist.net has a more professional and inviting look and I think it’s also easier on “casual” users with the icons and very few but large buttons, however it also seems to have fewer features, but it’s a lot more user-friendly in return. You cannot get lost here.
bucketlist.org on the other hand, while looking better than your site, has a very generic look to it. They also overdid the promo text, while lacking any visuals that would catch someone’s attention.
I also like that both sites allow you to look around without asking for registration/login, while on your site one can only view the profiles randomly placed on the home page.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments/ideas you may have.
I think you have to do something to make the concept more appealing for regular use. For example you could suggest users to add not only “large” goals, cause with those they will very rarely visit the site if they will even remember they once registered here.
And giving a globally announced achievement for creating your first list item doesnt seem like a good idea to me. It’s the prime example of uninteresting “news” spam, that says pretty much nothing, yet if the site gets popular it will be flooded with this.
There are some technical problems with the login. If I log in from the site (with username), then check in from facebook app list with another account then I see the first one’s bucketlist account “in” facebook (eg. with the header of the second). In fact I’ve found it impossible to access the proper account’s bucketlist via facebook without first logging out the other one.
Now logging out the first one, and trying to enter from facebook with the another simply brings up the bucketlist homepage asking for a login. Clicking the facebook login asks for permissions as if I were just registering (this is the account I registered via the invite), in effect making me register with facebook twice if first I did it from an invite. This makes me think that registering through an invite doesn’t get stored right at your site.
So at a second try, I logged out from facebook, then logged in with username & password, first I got a page saying “Invalid token”, then hitting back brought me back to the page but logged in. The next click to any page however took me back to the main page and logged out. Another login fixes this, so I definitely think there’s some conflict between facebook and local logins.
I actually like this site alot. It is very easy to navigate. I was able to send a message to two of my friends on facebook inviting them to check out bucketlist, in which I really think they will. I was able to create 3 goals on this page and was able to view them right away. I also like the feature to edit and delete the goals as well. Its really easy to go through and edit your goal. I also checked out other members goals which I really like. Its good to know what goals other people have, which may inspire you to add that to your list, or if you have done something that someone else have no you can let them know what you did and how you did it. This website is great in may ways. It can be used for marketing or as a social media website to connect with people with similar interest. I think this site is better than 43 things, which is also a site to create a bucket list. To me 43 things is really complicated, and I couldn’t see the goals I set right away. I registered with them a couple months ago, became frustrated, and never went back. My sister loves 43 things, but I think after seeing this site, I sent her a message on facebook regarding this site, she will surely switch over. I look forward to playing around with this site more and actually using this site to create my bucket list.
When I visited MyBucketList, my first impression was that whoever created this website is really passionate about having a bucket list, and encourages others to make one, too. As a person who loves to create lists and set goals for the future, I wasn’t too impressed, and that’s mostly because of the graphics. To answer the question “Are you immediately drawn to create a list of your life goals?” – No, because the graphics on the front page aren’t too encourage. The layout appears to be a little bit effortless.Â
On the bright side:
I love the fact that there is a list of suggestions for your bucket list. That is most definitely something that would draw me in to create a bucket list.
The website’s features are great. The fact that you can upload pictures, videos, and even cross items off of your list is wonderful!
The registration was a breeze, the the interface beyond the homepage is pleasing to the eye.Â
When you’re making a bucket list with pen and paper, it’s easy for your list to get damaged and lost. With a nice website dedicated exclusively to making your own bucket list, you can’t go wrong.Â
Overall, this website is really nice.
If I could change one thing, I would change the interface to make it look a little more modern.
More bucket list suggestions would be great.
I will definitely be using this website more in the future.
1) Visit https://my-bucketlist.net/ What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately
drawn to create a list of your life goals? Why or why not?
First impression of what I see would be that the page is very plain. The layout is a bit ordinary and the quality of the pictures aren’t that great. Perhaps the graphics could’ve been better. The colors are fine, but I think the font should be different. But I do find the topic of the site to be very interesting. I’ve never stumbled upon a bucket list site before, nor have I ever thought of making one. The paper graphic of the list of things i would like to do is a great idea. But the graphic could look better. The idea of it being a sheet of paper is perfect for the site and what the site is all about! This did make me consider creating a list of my life goals, because although the site is plain, the whole idea of the site intrigues me. It’s a matter of self reflection and just the idea of it makes me think, “what DO i want to do in my life?”.
2) Invite a friend to connect to via Facebook. Was the process straightforward?
Yeah it was pretty straightforward. Being an internet junkie and all I already knew how to connect things through facebook so it wasn’t hard at all.
3) Are you able to edit your goals and list easily?
Yes! It’s very easy! Just type it in and click save and you’re good to go. Editing is easy as well, just hover over the goal and you can just click the pencil icon to edit and wala! You can edit it very easily. I like how once I start typing my goal there’s already suggestions showing of what you’ll be typing. It’s like when you start searching for something on a search engine and suggestions pop down from the search bar. It’s really cool how you can also add pictures and you can also mark the task as complete once you’ve achieved the goal already.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like https://www.bucketlist.net/ and https://bucketlist.org?
I’ve never been on those sites before so when I checked em out I was honestly amazed at how attractive the site looked and what kind of graphics were used. Although the 2 sites look better, they all have the same purpose/topic. my-bucketlist.net has a long way to go. The other 2 sites seems like they’re already known and a lot of people use them.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments/ideas you may have.
I love the whole idea of the site! I honestly never stumbled upon a site like this that encourages you to list your goals. The thought of doing that online never crossed my mind. I was always the type of person to live in the moment but the whole idea of my-bucketlist.net made me think, what DO I want to do? There’s just so much! This kind of site is perfect for self reflection.
As for the site itself, I think it needs a lot of work. It’s plain and the font is plain. The graphics should be of high quality and be a bit more eye catching. Nowadays appearance is everything. I hate to admit it, but a lot of people judge a book by its cover. Everything needs to be spruced up. I would suggest that you find someone who’s good with graphics so they can make a customized layout for you and even customized graphics so it could be original. It doesn’t have to go all out, simple is good. But I do think the site needs to be more attractive in order for users to get interested in the site and be more motivated to keep up with making goals in their lives.
On a more positive note, I do applaud you for the easy process of adding/listing/editing goals to our bucket lists. It’s super easy plus there’s extra features like adding photos. Plus you can make it private or public. Privacy options is always a plus. It’s a good thing that it’s easy to do because when things tend to be even a little bit hard, people would easily give up. It’s such a smooth process!
I would also suggest that we not only be able to connect through facebook only. Other social networking sites would be nice as well, such as twitter, linkedin, tumblr and blog sites. That way my-bucketlist would spread through the world wide web and more users would be interested in joining.
The site may need work, but the whole idea and concept of the site is pretty awesome. With a little work here and there, I think my-bucketlist.net will be a huge success! 🙂
1) Visit https://my-bucketlist.net/ What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately
drawn to create a list of your life goals? Why or why not?
They say first impressions last. For my bucketlist I do not have an all convincing first impression. Sky diving is not my idea for a bucket list and it is the only picture on the entire first page. This does not do the page justice. Everything on the page is static and there is no interaction. The layout is too simple and plain and it looks like a teenager created the site. I dont want to sound too harsh but I feel there is no depth in the page. It lacks a central focus point and does not stir up emotion in me. If the picture of the guy skydiving were linked to a youtube video it would appeal much better. The facebook like button and other socialmedia is a plus, but would rather go for a open conversation for people to leave remarks or add their comments as they achieve each of their items on the list. I also do not find life goals and bucket list to go together as Life goals feels like work and sweet were as bucket list let me think of things that bring pleasure and satisfaction. I think you should just stick to fun things you would like to do before you die.
I was not drawn to lick any buttons or even join. The only link that got my attention was the remembered.com link right at the bottom When I pressed it I was directed to a website that made me felt morbet and more like I am in a graveyard. If I get it right it is where you mourn the dead and send condolences. Not my cup of tea and don’t think it goes with the current website where you have people who still want to do thinks before they die.
In a nutshell my first impressions were that this is a very new sight that did not cost a lot of money but have something to offer to the community. It gives me a feeling that the creators care about other people and would like to be of help. However it does not look like they have a lot of experience in web development for striking and attention capturing content. I felt like I have to do a lot of work by pressing a botton.
2) Invite a friend to connect to via Facebook. Was the process straightforward?
With the facebook like botton it is a simple prosses to post a recomendation to friends and invite them. With the send botton it also is quick and easy although these days people send so many junk mail I would just stick to the like botton. This keeps it to those who want to see what it is about, where as when you send an email you force people to open it and if they are not keep you might loose them as a friend.
3) Are your able to edit your goals and list easily?
I first had to register and saw there were quite a few things that I had to do to get started. I twice had to enter the password in the screen and then still had to find a please wait botton. The I refreshed the page and had to enter all my detals again before I came to do my bucket list. Again there I had problems as when I hit save it did not want to work and had the repeat the prosess. After that it was easily to enter my first bucket wish and editing was also simple with no delays.
Also discovered that you have a facebook game to recommend to friends. Pleasantly surprised to see it as a future on your site
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like https://www.bucketlist.net/ and https://bucketlist.org?
https://www.bucketlist.net/:
Looks very similar to your site. Did not take time to try all their futures but from first impressions I like the look better as well as the pictures. Their wording is more attractive like Bring joy to others and give credit to others made me feel I can mean something to other people. Yours say basically the same, but I suggest using words that make the reader feel good about being part. You have the option the share videos and photos of your bucket list. Thats a great future I did not see on the other pages. However I feel creating teams or Tribes gives the website from https://www.bucketlist.net/ a better community to be part of. a Bucket list can be very private for some but as for me I would like to be part of something bigger than just myself. Joining a tribe can give me that sense of belonging and share with like minded people. Clicking on their menu options made it clear that they have spend quite a time and effort creating and maintaining their website. Though yours is new you should carefully see where theirs is lacking and focus on that. It will be much easier for yours to grow in popularity where theirs is lacking.
https://bucketlist.org/:
Looked a little bland and not as involving as http://www.bucketlist.net However they seems to be a bit more arty that the rest as involving John Lennon kicking a bucket immediately sparked the idea that other stars will have their lists on it. Also when you google bucketlist theirs come out top. http://www.bucketlist.net comes up 3d and yours I did not se even in the first 10 pages. Will have to see what strategy will get your ranking to the top as their is where all the action is. Upon visiting different pages I was not particularly fond of the site. It seemed to bland and I was at first impressions mostly drawn to go and play around on http://www.bucketlist.net
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments/ideas you may have.
In summeryI would say to get your site off the ground and competitive the best would be to aim for a target market who will have similar interests. This you can easily determine by looking on the individuals profiles and where the most activity is. Then second to create a daily, weekly and monthly newsletter or encouraging phrases that will appeal most to these kind of people. lastly is to look at ways how these people can interact on your site. Most of the elements you already have. It is just the packaging and branding that is missing. After that is dome I guess it is just down to hard work
Best for the future
Hope this review helped you a little 🙂
1) Visit https://my-bucketlist.net/ What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately
drawn to create a list of your life goals? Why or why not?
My first impression is good. It’s a clear layout and the text tells me what I can do here.
I don’t want to create a list of my life goals on this site, because I can’t see a reason for doing this online. Simply using a piece of paper seems to be more easier for me, as I don’t have to sign-up with my data.
2) Invite a friend to connect to via Facebook. Was the process straightforward?
This process was very easy, didn’t have any problems.
3) Are you able to edit your goals and list easily?
Yes, this was also easy and clear.
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like https://www.bucketlist.net/ and https://bucketlist.org?
I like the comic at bucketlist.net, it’s kind of funny and special.
bucketlist.org has a really nice design. On the first look it appears to be more professionell than mybucketlist.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments/ideas you may have.
The “Join Now” Button could be bigger. At the first look I didn’t recognized it.
At the Sign-Up there is a font error at the reCAPTCHA text. The German umlauts (ä, ö, ü) are shown as .

Hi my initial impression is that the site main page needed to be upgraded, it didn’t look that professional. I think its the graphics used and the huge wide white space on the sides that made the site look unprofessional.I think if you fix that, it will look better.
No I’m not very drawn to make a list but it does yes make you think of the things you v always wanted to do and never have thought about how to really make them occur or happen.
Â
In my opinion the bucket list should be something private although you have this option, there’s is always the case when you don’t want certain family members to spread your wishes so having friends seeing your bucket list should be done with caution.
Editing my list and having it set private or public was a very easy. I liked the option of adding photos to stimulate you into finding ways to accomplish your wishes!
Â
Comparing the other sites to this one, this one looks more serious more professional.Bucketlist.net looks too colorful, looks like a children’s book and it simply doesn’t look very attractive. Bucketlist.org looks better but it lacking more options and site navigation feels a little confusing.
I think your site is fine, this is the first time I know that there were actually bucklist sites so a little advertising maybe on Facebook would make you guys stand out and bring in more visitors.Having so many options with your list really helps. I would like to to see maybe a page or an area where others can vote on your wish if you wanted to make it public and if that wish got enough votes there would be some sort of prize to help you get that wish happen. that would certainly bring in more bucket listers and as I mentioned at the beginning better graphics and find a way to eliminate those two white spaces on the sides with pictures or stretch the info on the center so that those white blocks are gone! Good luck!

1) Visit https://my-bucketlist.net/ What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately
drawn to create a list of your life goals? Why or why not?
Immediately, I hated this site. For one, the graphics move a bit too fast. For two, the printing when it says “Bucket List” and “What are your Goals?” should be bigger, maybe different colors. Third, the goals were SO lofty- it makes a person whose goal is “get my GED” or “lose 50 pounds” look and feel pretty puny. There should be something like, “Whether your goal seems insignificant, crazy or unrealistic- it’s still YOUR goal!”
2) Invite a friend to connect to via Facebook. Was the process straightforward?
That was straightforward enough, but does Facebook have to be in EVERYTHING? Can’t we plan on dying without the involvement of Facebook?!
Â
3) Are you able to edit your goals and list easily?
I wrote a few goals down, and yes, the process was simple.
 Â
4) How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like https://www.bucketlist.net/ and https://bucketlist.org?
I was unaware that those sites existed.   Now that I’ve visited both of them, they are both better. .org listed some lofty goals, but also said “Perfect your chili recipe.” .net had some cute graphics which made the idea of making a sort of “to do list/will” a little more pleasant. And I enjoyed how “Helping Others” was included.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments/ideas you may have.
Well, the producers/creators of that movie must be rolling in it! I think such lists should be private, maybe shared with one’s best friends or something, but since there are three websites out there & hundreds of people who participate, it seems I’m in the minority.   Â
