  1. 1.a. My initial impression is that this is a site for job seekers and that it’s somehow integrated with Facebook but how is not clear.

1.b. Well, the site doesn’t look untrustworthy. At first glance, I can’t say that it inspires more trust than any other site since there just isn’t that much to look at on the home page. Perhaps if I was familiar with the clients you list, I would feel differently. If your clients are big names in India, then probably that would inspire a fair degree of trust. I’m in the States, so I have no experience with them.

    2. I’m not sure whether you’re asking me to use your service to look for job listings or to try to find information or answers to questions I might have on your site. It looks like I’d need to sign into Facebook to do the former, and I don’t have a personal Facebook account, so that’s not an option for me. Regarding the latter, I decided I’d try to find out what your service costs. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find anything about costs, either for job seekers or employers.

    3. I might be if I lived in India and used Facebook because it looks like a convenient way to stay on top of job listings. However, I really would need to know if you charge anything for your service. I’m not sure I’d want to sign up if there were costs associated with it.

    4. When I searched on “find Facebook job listings in India” and “Facebook job listings, India,” the results returned Facebook’s own job listings, individual Facebook pages of companies looking to hire in India, and various articles and message boards that referenced Facebook jobs in India. “Find jobs in India, Facebook” again returned job opportunities with Facebook. Even the more general phrase “find jobs on Facebook” only returned Facebook’s own career center and various articles on using Facebook for job hunting. So I really don’t think there are any services like yours that are easily searchable.  However, “find jobs India” returned numerous standard job sites including Monster India, Naukri, TimesJobs, Shine.com, Placement India, Best Jobs India, and so on. I chose Monster India since it was the first one listed.

As far as web site presentation goes, I like Monster better than MyParichay. It’s an extremely simple, clean site that enables the user to jump right in and start searching listings immediately. Right now, MyParichay is more of a promotional site. To actually use the service, you need to hop around a little to find out what it’s all about and then sign in through Facebook. As far as functionality is concerned, it’s hard to compare MyParichay to Monster because I have no way of testing MyParichay’s search feature without signing into Facebook. I can say that the Monster search feature is easy to use and returns a fair number of results. Without accessing MyParichay’s search feature, it seems to me that the main differences between your service and Monster are that 1) your service aggregates job listings on multiple job sites as well as on Facebook, 2) your service delivers those results to the user’s Facebook account, and 3) the user must have a Facebook account to use your service. Although I don’t personally like to use social networking accounts for business purposes, I do see it as an advantage that MyParichay incorporates job listings from many different sites.

    5. I’ll give you my likes and dislikes:

    Likes
–The home page design. It’s reminiscent of Facebook, which works since your service is integrated with Facebook.
–The basic concept. I can’t find any other web site that aggregates job listings on Facebook and delivers them to the user’s Facebook account. I also like that you include job listings from other major job sites. And on the flip side, yours also seems to be the only site that allows employers to target potential employees specifically through Facebook.

    Dislikes
–Although the home page design does a nice job of evoking Facebook, it doesn’t really grab me. I feel like you need to use it to sell me on your service a little more. I’d like to see some bulleted selling points right upfront and maybe a few steps detailing how the service works. Right now it’s kind of vague, and I have to dig farther into the site to figure out why and how I should use it.
–The numerous grammatical errors throughout the site.
–The lack of information about fees. Am I to assume that your service is free for both job seekers and employers? Because you don’t mention any charges for anyone or anything.
–I have to sign into Facebook to even read more about MyParichay. When I clicked on “Jobs and Connections,” I expected you to really sell me on your service, but I couldn’t read any of the pages linked under “WHY USE MyParichay?” without signing in. I don’t think you should force visitors who are probably still undecided to sign in or sign up for anything without reading your selling points first.
–Personally, I don’t like sites that require me to sign in through a social networking site. I’m very protective of my privacy. However, I’m sure there are lots of people out there who won’t have a problem with it.

In conclusion, I think you have the makings of a good service. I’m sure a lot of people will appreciate that MyParichay searches Facebook job listings as well as listings from various major job sites and will like the convenience of getting those results delivered to them through Facebook. However, I really think you need to let people read all the informational pages on your site before they sign in/sign up. You’re going to lose visitors if you force them to do that when they still have unanswered questions. I also think you need to clean up the numerous grammatical errors on your site since they detract from your credibility. Finally, I think you could stand to make the home page sell itself a little better. As soon as I land on it, I want to know what exactly your site does and why I should use it.

  2. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?
I first went to myparichay on the google chrome and found that it took almost forever to open. Though I have a slow internet connection I also tried with Safari, and Firefox. Both browsers opened it in a less than a minute. Slow but still much quicker than Chrome.
My Initial impression is that it is a clean site that does not look like it cannot be trusted. I guess the trust aspect will come in when you have to give personal information. India is a place were there is a huge demand for jobs and as I worked on the cruise ships I know firsthand that it is not easy to get good jobs in India. When you google myparichay it comes with the tagline that it has more jobs than Monster and Naukri combined and also won an award in 2011 Winner of the 2011 HR World Congress Award for the “Best Employee Referral Technology”
There is also with Our Clients trust created as these all are recruiting companies that already have a reputation with a lot of people. This alone for anyone new on the site that has been looking for a job for some time will be creating a good first impression. I personally do not know any of the sites since I live in South Africa and have never looked for jobs in India.
The site targets both employees and companies with open positions. That is the only problem I have since people looking or jobs has different perspectives and I feel with drawing too many Personal agencies to one place may create too much competition for the companies who look for employees. As a jobseeker myself I always believe I stand the best chance if I can deal with the company directly. Now If I see the job listed in Monster and also at one of the other sites I will play the two off against each other and naturally goes for the better looking option. This may let me loose out since companies will naturally choose the employees with the least salaries as starting. Not sure how you will control this.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?
I first though to look for available jobs in my industry and find none. Both searches left me with no results and immediately let me doubt the fact that this site is a phony and not telling the truth. Second I tried to connect trough facebook but an error appear and also a warning about piracy of information. I was more sceptical and did not find any reassurance. I typed jobs and got a couple of entries but if I were someone looking for a job this site would have been burned toast by now. I suggest to give more clear instructions for first time users. It you let people understand their are more jobs that Monster and Naukri I guess it is just fair to give them a glimpse. I kinda understand how myparichay works and see the potential trough using the facebook as a place were you can be recommended for a job and where you can look trough the profiles to find the best candidates. However as a jobseeker I see this site much in the favour of the recruiting companies and not very friendly or helpful to newbies and those who just want to have the assurance that they stand a chance to get hired.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
An error message appeared and I could not connect through facebook.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
https://www.careerjet.co.za/ This is a local site to my country and I immediately find it very easy to understand and how to use. They clearly made a difference between jobseeker and Companies as partners. It gave me a sense of security and did not leave me with long loading time and facebook connections that does not work. Gave me what I was looking for JOBS. Does not help offering millions of jobs and find none where this site only offered 110 000 jobs and is specific to the number. Suggest you have a look at being there to help people get the jobs rather than priding yourself as the biggest.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
With my sincere opinion of trust I can just say having experienced the Indian people on the ships I have been working on for the past 5 years I can truly say they are a very clever nation with strong moral ties and great cuisine. I loved working with them and made some amazing friends. If I would ever have to say something negative it would only have been out of firsthand experience and that I believe would be understandable. Cause of the demographics of India and the population I did see every new recruit joining our ship was in a total maze about having a job on a cruise ship. They would be the hardest worker you have ever seen without complaining and doing whatever you asked then 10 times better than the rest without complaining. Related to the Indian people that knows the job I did observe something I did not appreciate and not all but some I saw undermining their own people and not truly taking care of them. Not telling them everything and not helping them when they make mistakes but rather treating them quite firmly.
Long story short your website made me feel exactly what I experienced on the ship. Not helping the new ones and still claiming to be the best. I strongly suggest your website take the position as a servant to willingly serve the needs of their masters, or in this case jobseekers even more than companies offering jobs.
I hope you find my feedback honest and see it better through the eyes of an outsider.
    All success with future 🙂

  3. Using Mac OS 10.7.3 with Safari and FireFox

    1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?
The initial impression of the site is that it is a human resources networking site that ties in with Facebook.

Esthetically the landing page is neat, clean, easy to see almost everything. The three ‘people’ with the company logos on them is a bit hard to look at, however, as everything is very small and some of the logos are nearly impossible to recognize. Maybe find a way to make them bigger. However, the three people in a pyramid is catching and original.

In reviewing some of the clients you have listed, your pool of contacts are fairly extensive and strongly suggests trustworthiness. However, the question of trustworthiness cannot be based on this observation alone. Being able to connect to some of the company’s pages and see them endorsing you would be a definite sign of trustworthiness.

In reviewing your banners (About, Jobs and Connections, etc) everything runs smoothly off the landing page. Your about section covers the important aspects of your service.

One thing I don’t see readily available is your Terms of Service/Terms and Conditions, or your Privacy Policy. Not seeing access to these on your landing page makes your site seem either amateurish or illegitimate.

I had to search (once I figured out what your search tab was for) for the Terms and Privacy.

Your privacy policy is rather long, though complete. It covers all the aspects of information sharing both within your network, and how it is shared with Third Party services that are accessible through your site. The same with your Terms of Service

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?
At first I attempted to see if I could search for jobs (English teaching, etc). It become obvious the the search tab on the site was not for jobs. In that regards, I did a search for things such as Terms of Service and Privacy. I was glad to find them there.

Your search tab is misleading, in that it gives the initial impression that it is for searching for jobs networked through your site. There is nothing to indicate that it is a ‘site-map’ search. Maybe provide that indicator (and provide a site map page).

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

I am not keen on the ‘Facebook’ only sign in. Also, in attempting to sign in with Facebook, I was not able to–the app would not load (it kept cycling through three different pages over and over).

I searched for other means to sign in, but only seemed to have the Facebook option.

Not seeing any information on what your services cost, what your free trial provides, or where to access your services outside of using the Facebook app (though the wording of your Terms of Service or your Privacy policy both imply that there are alternative ways to sign), I do not find anything that would encourage me or interest me in signing up. Your Facebook profile does not provide any of that information either (at least not in an easily accessible location).

So… no, I am not encouraged to sign up.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
This is a difficult comparison. I am not really able to see what services you really offer or how your services work because I am unable to access them due to problems signing up. The site suggests that its primary service is directed at jobs companies post on Facebook.

LinkedIn seems to be the best comparison–it provides connections with Facebook. However, LinkedIn also operates independent from Facebook (and does not require a Facebook profile to be part of). It allows creating a profession profile, resume, job search, and social and resource connections. In this regards, I find LinkedIn preferable.

Other sites I searched and used were more local/regional in scope, or more specific in their trade/profession/industry. In this regards, it is easier to find more specific jobs via these sites. Against, most or all of these offer their services outside of Facebook.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I attempted to sign in using Facebook. The app only cycled through the ‘loading’ process, continually cycling through the ‘app’ install pages. After 3 minutes of cycling though the same three websites as the app tried to tie in with my Facebook, I finally gave up on expecting it to happen.

Not being able to sign into the site via Facebook make sit difficult to really see what services you have available/

Not being able to sign in outside of Facebook is a turn off. As is not being able to at least browse some of the jobs available without signing in.

You mention in Step 3 about signing in/free trial/etc. In searching your site there is no information about these.

Your Terms of Service and Privacy policy are not readily accessible without searching for them.

Not seeing any examples of how one’s profile would look, etc. makes it difficult to see how the site may work before one signs in.

In this regards, all your claims about the jobs you have available and the value of your service are empty words. The failure of the Facebook app to load (I am not sure if this is a problem connected with Safari/FireFox on Mac) makes it impossible for me to really know what your site does or how it works. Nor do I see how your site offers services that are not already available to me via LinkedIn or Monster (save for its social connections via Facebook–something that doesn’t appeal to everyone).

  4. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?
First impressions are that this site is connected with Facebook (the colours give that indication) and it provides a clear message about what the site is about.  Very clear navigation labels and looks like a genuine site and therefore trustworthy as a first impression.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?
I used the search box to find “contract work” which returned one result. When typing my search terms into the search box the words were very faint and hard to read. The process was straightforward in terms of complying with internet searching protocols.
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
I’m encouraged to login to my facebook account but it isn’t clear whether that will take me to the MyParichay FB page. I can’t see a ‘new account’ button or option clearly displayed. The only clickable options are on the menu labels and the FB button the centre panel has no clickable access.
    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
Tried out https://www.crowdhired.com/ I preferred Crowdhired’s clearly 1,2,3 step explanation of the process they follow and clear indication of where employers and employees can click to get an invite or sign up.
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
https://www.myparichay.in/ could do with more explanation of how the service works, what they are offering, and what is involved for prospective employees / employers.

  5. 1.       1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?
My first impression is that it was very well put together and it has straightforward information about the company and how it works. It looks trustworthy and I was actually amazed at how the use of Facebook and its social connections can be used to find people jobs.

    2.       2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?
I found what I was looking for and the process was not complicated it was actually helpful.

    3.       3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Yes, after I looked over the whole website, I was engaged and curious wondering “Can this really help me find a job.” The answer was yes.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I prefer MyParichay. The reason is that MyParichay is straightforward and accommodating plus the layout is more detailed. The other company I viewed has a complicated site but not hard to figure out.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
The Layout of your site is done in a smart way and it carries all the necessary information.

  6. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?

I see that you only looking for people who lives in India. The site looks plan and dull in my honest opinion
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?

No because you targeting a adudience that Im not part of so I wouldnt be interested in looking at the website
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

No, because Im not from India or Idian. Im from america and it just seems that you only looking to hire people from India
    4) Go to search engine of your choice an
d find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?

Google, and lionbridge I will go to them because they don’t disgurage
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I understand that you are targeting an adudiance.

  7. My first impression is that the website took a long time to load. I am viewing it from U.S.

When you say: it is the first place to network & find jobs in India on Facebook, it doesn’t roll off the tongue easily.
Then it makes the visitor question why we need your service. Why can’t we just network solely using Facebook?

It takes a long time to go from page to page. Loading speed is incredibly slow.

If the team page is all redirects from facebook, I am starting to wonder why you have a website? I don’t like having to go back and forth to FB. Just put some pictures of your team on your website.

    Actionable feedback:
    1) The words: The Hiring Game is Changing! and the text below it do not all fit within the light blue box. It doesn’t look professional. I’d recommend not having two different shades of blue here. They do not compliment each other.
2)Put pictures of your team on your website
3)I wish the load time on your site was faster. I don’t know if this is because I am across the ocean, but it is very discouraging.

  8. The home page looked empty. I think some pictures with people’s faces would be better. It seemed like everything I tried to click on redirected me to facebook. I’m not exactly sure why I would need this service when I could just go directly to facebook and view my network’s companies.
I did not feel encouraged to create a new account or try a free trial.
The process for finding open jobs was difficult. It didn’t seem like I was able to find a clear cut list of jobs to apply for.

  9. 1)      Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?
The site looks pretty basic to me, nothing to jump and scream about. Just based on looks the site doesn’t look that trustworthy to me. It seems I would just have to trust what you say. It seems like your site might be linked with facebook but it is not to clear. Saying that you’re the number one site used on Facebook seems like no one else uses it besides those with a Facebook account. The design and layout of the sight doesn’t seem to push that you’re the most used site. The colors are basic and the structure is not yelling this is a professional site. The blue text box on your screen giving info about the site is poorly located and is small in its font. If you say you’re bigger than Monster and Naukri than I would like to see and or read fact and or text to show me that. Where are the testimonials and where are the client comments. You have the “stick figures” on the screen boasting some big names but are they your other client? If so then your site should want to showcase more of its clients than those listed at the bottom of the screen. There is no text on your homepage telling us about your features or why your site is better. There also seems to be color flow to your homepage. You have red, green and two shades of blue all of which are not even featured throughout your homepage.
    2)      Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?
I looked for work from home jobs and I was given nothing to work with, I guess I need to try something else. I’m not sure at to what I was supposed to do. It seems that if I don’t log in to Facebook then all I will see is your privacy policy. I did three different searches and got the same results.
    3)      Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
If I was a user I would like the option to have an account or be able to search through Parichay. I would not want to pay for such services that simply host jobs. I don’t even see any info about what companies pay to be on your site so I would want more in that areas.
    4)      Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I am a big fan of Monster. They are a brand that is well known and their website is professional yet modern at the same time. I can easily jump into a search unlike with your site I have to have an account with Facebook. I really like how they tips and resources that assist you’re job hunt. The main problem I am having is for those who do not have a Facebook account. With monster who needs an account it’s all right there in front to quickly take advantage of. Monster even has an app.
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
About us: I was really hoping to see information about the minds behind this site but all I found was a bunch of white space and links to profiles through Facebook. If you are going to have such a set up then you don’t need to take up as much space in showcasing them. Again the color choices are puzzling to me. There seems to be an extremely light shade of blue but it is washed out by the white background, there is clearly no noticeable contrast of color.
    Jobs and Connection:
You wrote: “MyParichay JobBook searches across ALL job boards (like Naukri , Monster),  ALL corporate career sites and ALL jobs posted on our clients company career Facebook page using Company MyParichay  and presents them to a candidate, actively or passively,  looking for a job,  in the convenience of their Facebook”
This is a run on sentence that is very hard to read and the usage of caps is not necessary.  I would certainly revise this sentence and not use the caps. Here you finally say why one should use your site but you fail to put that info on your homepage which a mystery. I don’t understand the comment where you say discover where your friends work. I don’t see why this would be relevant to why I should use your site. I wouldn’t need your site to figure out where my friends work. Also, get connected to friends who can get me results. This sound like my friends is searching for jobs for me and not your site. Again this is not a valid reason as to why someone would want to use your site.
    Business Solutions:
I would suggest putting your award on the homepage, that is something that makes a site look trustworthy. Under company parichay your fourth sentence needs a period. Under recruiter parichay your first sentence needs a period. Under employee parichay none of these sentences have periods. Your site needs to have uniformity. The huge black are of page just looks like your killing space. I would suggest making the font just a touch larger and using that space for user testimonial and client testimonials. This is another aspect that makes your site look trustworthy.

  10.
    1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?

Honestly, as a web designer and developer, I have come to learn that clean is better. Simple is the best way to go and when it came to viewing your homepage, I appreciated the fact that it wasn’t over designed. It was clean and straight foward.

I understood your objective, I knew what the site was about and it made me want to sign up. Allowing the ability for users to sign up and or log in through Facebook builds a source of trustworthiness in my eyes.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?

I signed up through my facebook account and I began searching for jobs. The first thing that I started with was “work from home.” I will say that load time was slow and I didn’t find anything pertaining to my search.

The search bar on the homepage wasn’t as extensive as I thought it would be. I was directed to the policy page and business solution page when I searched for “recruiting companies.” I can’t say that the process was straight foward but at the same time, it doesn’t give much room to understand what can and can not be searched.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

I was definitely encouraged to sign up for a new account for the simple fact that the site left me wondering what it had to offer. You didn’t give me everything on the homepage, which caused me to create an account. Since you weren’t asking for any personal information or payment options, I had no reason not to try out your site.

Another thing that enticed me was that I didn’t have to do much when it came to creating an account. Being able to sign up through my facebook account left me more time to navigate and search through jobs. Plus, explaining that you offer more jobs than Monster left me wondering and feeling as if there was huge potential in finding employment.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?

Through my investigation, I found a few India job portals which offered job listings. I didn’t find them as interesting as MyParichay. If I had to choose, I would easily choose to sign up with MyParichay before the other job portals I came across. The one thing that this site has that the other sites DO NOT, is the easy sign up.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I would personally find a way to engage future users with a testimonial area, where job seekers share their experience and success with your company. It will help with sign up turn arounds. And it will also entice business owners to post their ads with your company. It will also help to build a trusting relationship between you, the job seeker and business owners as well.

I also think that eventually it would be best to have an area in which job seekers and business owners have a place to create their own profiles on your website.Having the facebook application is great but you want to be able to pull that information into your own server, so you can house your own information pertaining to your network. Plus it will offer more privacy and a much more intimate setting amongst job seekers and employers.

Test the waters and see what other job portals are doing and find a way to enhance that and give potential users more reason to join your site over others.

  11. 1) The inititial impretion i gain from this site is that it is very clean and easy to navigate.  The color scheme is bright and eye catching while simple.
1b) I think the site look s quite trustworthy.  Again it is nice and clean, no error messages, no security eerrors for certificates.

2)I thought perhaps i would try to find a job.  It was not as easy as i would like, i do not like that you have to transfer to Facebook to do so, although i realize the main platform is Facebook, when i click a link that says find a job and end up on a landing page with clickable subjects wich all take me to Face Book i feel somewhat jaded and want to end my time fussing with the site.  I dont like sites that make me transfer to gain the data that i am after.  I dont like using my Facebook account with sites i am not familiar with so this to me is a deterant.

    3) I am not encouraged to create a new account as i would not use my personal FaceBook for employment.  Facebook is a networking tool as we all know, however most ” personal” facebook accounts contain family pictures and dealings with feeds from a variety of friends Facebook accounts.  No i would not creat a user account with this site.  i might is there was more discription of what i would find once i logged in.  Perhaps even taking the time to creat a new facebook account used simply for the task of using this site.  I might subscribe to a newsletter in the hopes that i would gain further informaiton to assist me in making this decision.

    4)  I have searched on google to find a similar site, and in its entirety i can not, however https://www.naukri.com/ is an emplyment site from India and i find it much easier to use.  More informative and i do not have to transfer to Facebook to use it.  Its layout is a bit more cluttered, but it is easy to navigate and easy to use.  I can see exactly what i am looking for without any fuss using https://www.naukri.com/ immediately able to search fields i am interested in.

    5) I like the idea behind your site, i just dont like the lack of informaiton to assist in my decision to use my facebook account to allow you to interface with me as a user.  I like how clean your site is and i might be interested in useing it if you were to present more information on what i might find once i link you into my Faceboook account.

  12. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?  The site appears to be similar to other “job networking” websites.  It looks trustworthy to me.  I would proceed.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?  When I land on the home page of a site I believe to help me find a job, I would like to immediately be able to search for a job.    I’ve look through the website and still am unable to figure out how to search for jobs.     I’m not really understanding what it is you are all about from the home page, nor can I find the information I need throughout the website.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?  No, I am not.  I can’t figure out what it  is you are offering.   Is this a job search website?  Do you help me with finding a job?     Do I need to sign up to find this information out?   This is information that should all be included in the landing page, so I know how or if I want to proceed.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?  I went to the website Naukri and Monster.  Immediately I am able to find out how to search for a job, location, etc.   I want this information to be laid out completely before I proceed.  I don’t feel the need to sign in via Facebook to find out what I need to know.  I would probably search for  a job on Monster because I am familiar with it.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.  Your website is clean, laid out well.   I like the font, I like the colors.
I am not impressed with the lack of information as to how and what I need.   This information should immediately be  made available to me.  People are lazy… they don’t want to search for the information.   Also, people are very hesitant these days to link accounts to their Facebook account.
There needs to be an alternate method of locating the information that I would believe your website to be about.

  13. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?
Not at all it looks brilliant but the colours just doesnt instill confidence in me.It actually lets you think if this is not one of those cheap pay fro surveys websites.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?
I tried to find a specific job roustabout which is for oil rig industry the website wants you to log in with facebook.I would not trust this website to log into my facebook account.
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
No I not this looks more like a landing page that once you sign up you will be probably frequently be spammed. It looks like a website designed on someones computer in highschool still and it does not instill confidence at all.
    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I went to google and search found https://www.jobconnections.co.uk/I would rather trust a site like this then Myparichay. The colours blend inicely and you get a warm feel of wanting to sign up.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have. The website is not user friendly it is a nightmare to find information on this site.I would not recommend it to family or friends or any one I know I give it a 3 out of 10.If colours change its presence will be better.

  14. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?

I first opened the website using Mozilla Firefox. The initial impression of the website was good. The homepage design is simple and looks professional although in my opinion it is somewhat too plain. I prefer if you replace the wide-blue ribbon (where you place the picture and the phrase “The #1 place to network and find jobs in India on facebook) with slides of some professionally designed pictures and/or a video clip that can give little further explanation about what your website offers and how you will deliver it. It will create more trust and credibility to the website.

I then tried to open it using 3 other browsers: Google Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer. Like Firefox, Chrome and Safari display the website correctly, I assume they display it the way you want it to be. But in Internet Explorer, the website doesn’t look so nice. The phrase “The Hiring Game is Changing!” and the subsequent words below it (“MyParichay JobBook has more jobs….”) has different background color in Internet Explorer (lighter blue), make the website look somewhat dowdy, unprofessional. Because most Windows users are still using Internet Explorer as their main browser, I think you should make serious efforts to make the website look right in that browser.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?
When I come to a job-seeking website, usually I expect to find a job-seeking search function where I can first search for the job and position I seek before anything else. Only after I find the desired jobs and positions would I be willing to take the other steps: registering to the website in order to submit my CV and application.
But unfortunately I cannot do that with MyParichay. There is no job-seeking search function whatsoever in the homepage. There is indeed a search box but when I tried to use it, it turned out that the search function is only to search for the website contents/articles, practically useless for me as a job seeker.

When I positioned myself as a company who needs to find employees, I could also not find enough information about how to make use of the services provided by MyParichay, even when I then decided to give it a try by logging in using my Facebook account. All that I can find was only short descriptions in “Business Solution” tab that are hardly enough at all.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
No, I was not encouraged to sign in using my personal Facebook account. The preliminary information you provided in the website is very little, in my opinion it sounds like countless extravagant promises in the internet given by many other websites that eventually scam their members. If I were the one who was looking for job in India and I had many other alternative job-seeking websites to make use of, I might put your website at the bottom of my list. In addition, frequent occurrences of account hacking have made many people become very cautious when it comes logging in using their facebook or other social media accounts. Only because I need to see what you offer inside for the purpose of making this review that I decided to sign in.

Regarding the current anxiety about the possibility of facebook account misuses, why don’t you consider to provide your own registration process so that people can register to your website without having to use their personal facebook credentials? You may have to transfer the search results your application has done to your website of course. But overtime, if your website has gained more trust and popularity, people may no longer be reluctant to use their facebook account to use your services.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I used https://www.simplyhired.com/ and https://www.careerbuilder.com/ when I need to find a job or new recruits. Compared to https://www.myparichay.in, those two job-listing websites are more straightforward and easier to use. Although they also provide the facility to login using facebook accounts (SimplyHired), they do not require me to.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Actually, what your website offers: job finding and recruitment via facebook is very interesting. Once the system has been fully established and you have been really ready with the platform, it may prove to be very promising and useful. Your main problem now is lack of trust due to the newness of the website. So, it is imperative that you make every effort you can to make people find it easier to trust you and your website.

These are some suggestions to increase trustworthiness of your website:

    1. Find and correct every grammar and spelling mistakes in the website. There are many!

    2. You only provide names and facebook profiles about your team. That’s not enough to create trust and credibility. You should give more detailed information about everyone of them including their education, expertise and experience.

    3. Provide more information about your website and how you will deliver it via facebook. Do not only require people to sign in using their facebook account without giving them enough information about what they will get by signing in and why they should use their facebook account to sign in. In today’s world, it seems only naive teenagers who would thoughtlessly sign in into websites they hardly know anything about.

    4. When I did job search after signing in, at the first search it took very long time (in my case more than 5 minutes) for your application until it serves all the results. I thought your application was crashed and I intended to close it right before it displayed the search results. After that first search, the next searches were relatively done quite fast. I think you should try to cut the waiting time for the first search shorter by displaying the results part by part.

  15. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?  The site does look trustworthy, although my first impression is that it may be just another app through the use of facebook.

     2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward? I wanted to see the job listings.  I was able to see that I need to log into facebook and give the app permission to access my account which is something that I am not comfortable doing because of privacy issues.

     3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)? I was encouraged to give the app permission to access my account via facebook.

     4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?  I searched for “facebook job postings in india” and only received results for facebook’s own listings.  I tried several searches and only found facebook options.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
The homepage reminds me too much of facebook.  It does not catch my eye or grab my attention for me to want to stay on the site long enough to find out what it is about or what I am looking for.  There is not enough information on the site that tells me about the company.  I see who the team is but not exactly enough background about the company and what it represents. There are also many grammatical errors with spelling and spacing that need to be cleaned up to look more professional.  The homepage says that you can find jobs in India on facebook, then there is a tab that tells companies how you will create a microsite for them via facebook. There should be more information about this on the homepage without the reader having to click a tab to find this out.
