  1. Visit https://ohthatsyou.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

Yes, really it is good and definitely one will think to try it once. It is good looking and attractive. It is clearly understandable what all is about. Supporting tabs are clear to make it. If we want to go in it is clearly mentioned in two ways, one is through facebook or we can register. “Get Advice”, Window Shop”, “Create Your Look”, “Beauty Products” is simple great and I feel to try them.

Go to the StyleExchange tab. What do you think this page is about?

I think it would help a lot for each and everyone because as I observed surrounding people they will be keeping on asking how I look in this, that, for. If they come to know that they can get advices from experts they will be the happiest. Functionality is good and easy to understand. I have uploaded my image it is good and easy. Explored some features on this page they are fine and easily understandable.

What do you think of the layout?

I think page should move somewhat up so that it would be better, bring that “OH THAT’S YOU!” image on the top of the “Invite a Friend to…” opposite to “Style Exchange-Get Fashion Tips From Friends &Experts”, So that we can see more number of scraps or comments.

Go to Beauty tab, what do you think of the page & layout?

If “Beauty” tab is replaced with “Beauty Products” tab that would be better. Description for each product as well review column is good when compared. Each and every link is interesting on this page. Moreover, products size should be reduced so that in singe page we will see more number of products.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

I didn’t find contact us page anywhere or get help or FAQ. Everything is fine and like to use it.

What do you think of the sign up process?

Sign up process is simple and is easy, got confirmation mail within fraction of seconds. Please provide login details along with the confirmation that would be better and also again give some caption in that regarding the what it worth for us.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
Yes and I love to use.

  2. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
It’s obviously about fashion, but I’m not really sure how the site works just from reading the home page quickly. I’m not sure whether it’s a fashion advice site (as suggested by “get expert advice”), some kind of social networking site (as suggested by “trade tips with friends”), or one of those sites that lets you virtually try on clothes by uploading your photo and pairing it with various outfits (as suggested by “mix and match with pix from your closet and wish list”). Maybe it’s all three of these things?

Go to the StyleExchange tab. What do you think this page is about?
This seems to be a page for posting comments. Your tabs indicate that the comments should fall under one of three categories–“Advice,” “Community Wall,” or “Contest Wall.” But right now the comments under “Advice” and “Community Wall” aren’t differentiated, and the comments under “Contest Wall” don’t appear to have anything to do with contests. The comments you currently have under “Advice” and “Community Wall” are a mixed bag of members requesting feedback on their photos and what are probably posts from admins soliciting feedback on the site and trying to engage users in various fashion games. I see that the “Advice” category allows users to tag their questions based on what kind of feedback they’re seeking, but clicking on these tabs does not currently sort user comments.

My guess is that you intend the Style Exchange page to be a place where users can either post pictures and ask for fashion advice (“Advice”), leave miscellaneous comments (“Community Wall”), or participate in games or contests (“Contest Wall”). As of right now, though, comments don’t appear to be properly sorted by category.

What do you think of the layout?
I’m not sure if this question pertains specifically to the Style Exchange page. If so, I think the layout for the comments is simple, readable, and intuitive. However, I’m not as crazy about your left sidebar. First, I’m not sure why you have a registration box in the upper left corner. If people are on the Style Exchange page posting comments, then they should already be members, right? Just seems like a strange place to put it. Second, I can’t say I love the ads, but I guess you have to make your money somehow.

Go to Beauty tab, what do you think of the page & layout?
I like your product gallery. I like that you have nice big pictures of each product and detailed descriptions with retail prices. I like that users can write reviews of the products and rate them. I also like that users can organize the products by adding them to their favorites, wishlists, etc. (I’m not really sure, though, what the pencil and x icons are all about because there’s no pop-up explanation for those. Are those for emailing a product to someone and permanently deleting a product from the gallery? Either way, you need to have a pop-up explanation for those icons just like you do for the heart and the star icons.) You offer advanced search functionality that enables users to find products by brand, category, and product type and further organize them alphabetically or by user rating. I’m curious about the “Is it Me?” filter, but I see that I have to be a member to learn more about that. Finally, I like that you encourage users to suggest new products for the gallery.

I really only have two minor complaints about this page. The first is about the search box. I would put the search box on the left instead of the right since eyes read left to right. I didn’t notice it immediately, and I think that’s why. Also, for some reason, the search feature worked slowly for me. Whenever I chose a filter, there was a significant lag before the second drop-down box appeared to further narrow my search. Because of this lag time, I initially thought that there was no way to further narrow the search, and you really need that second filter for most searches, so I was rather frustrated at the beginning. My second minor complaint is that whenever I clicked on a product and tried to backarrow to the main gallery, I instead landed back on the Style Exchange page. I suggest you correct that because lots of people will probably backarrow from products to the gallery, and it will be frustrating for them if they land on some other page they visited previously.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
Let’s start with the home page, which is quite attractive. I like your slogan, your logo, your use of color, and your images. (However, a small detractor would be that the image you’ve chosen shows two members criticizing the woman’s choice of clothes. That’s a rather negative vibe to introduce your site with. Why not show either both members making positive comments or at least one member making a positive comment while the other makes a negative comment?) Although I don’t immediately know exactly what your web site offers just from glancing at the home page, I actually like that I can click on links and/or tabs that elaborate further without even leaving the home page. Once I clicked through those links/tabs, I had a much better understanding of what your site does. My only complaint about that set-up is that I didn’t immediately realize that the links and tabs were interchangeable. Therefore, I didn’t know that the “About Oh That’s You” tab would take me back to the default home page. Instead, when I wanted to move on to the next link, I initially tried to backarrow to the default home page, and of course that didn’t work. That was frustrating until I figured out your set-up. One more little issue: Your site is branded as “Oh Thats You!” But that tab on the home page reads, “Oh That’s You!” I’m pretty sure you know that the grammatically correct usage of “that’s” includes an apostrophe. But if you don’t want to use the apostrophe as part of your branding, then you should omit it all the time, not just randomly here and there.

I’ve already commented on your Style Exchange and Beauty pages. I would add, though, that in your product gallery, I’d like to see the option to buy items. If you’re not going to sell them yourself, then I’d at least like to see referral links to other sites that sell them, preferably with cost comparisons. I think you’re wasting an opportunity here if you don’t offer people a way to actually purchase these products.

After reading your Contests page, I finally understood that the comments I saw on the Style Exchange “Contest Wall” were actually contest entries! Wow, those are some hefty prizes you’re awarding! What I’m not clear on, though, is whether each entrant has to submit three different looks or can choose to submit one or more of the three you mentioned. Do each of the three outfits submitted count as one entry, or are all three outfits combined one entry? Also, I have to point out that if someone is new to your site, they’re not going to know what a contest wall is. You should clarify that the “Contest Wall” is under Style Exchange.

That was about as far as I could browse without registering. After I signed up, I had access to a rather impressive dashboard where I was able to fill out a very detailed personal profile and start adding outfits and cosmetic products to my favorites. It also appears that there is a social networking aspect to this and that I can add friends and other contacts. This is a fairly wide range of features you have here, and the layout is intuitive. As a member, I can now also access the Community page. Surprise, surprise! I thought this was going to be a forum, but it turns out it’s a searchable member directory. I kind of wish it was a forum, but okay. Finally, I returned to the Beauty page to test out the “Is it Me?” feature that I was wondering about before. Unfortunately, clicking it had no effect. I’m guessing this is a filter that would only come into play if I rated a bunch of products so that it could compare the database to my previous choices and make recommendations that way. If that’s so, then that would be a pretty cool feature.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I wouldn’t really say that I find anything “bothersome.” I have a couple of suggestions for improvement, most of which you’ll find above. The only other thing I’d suggest would be to create an FAQ or informational page called “Who We Are” or “What We Do” or something along those lines. I found myself wishing there was some central location I could go to read about the features you offer and how they work. For instance, I never did quite figure out the purpose of the “Is it Me?” filter on the Beauty page. I took a guess about it, but I’m not sure I was right. I would love to see a page that explains features like that in more detail. At the least, I’d like to see a help page on my dashboard.

I like your site. It looks like fun and would potentially be quite useful for people who are into fashion. I’m not sure, honestly, if it’s really possible to “virtually” try on clothes and get a real sense for how they would look and feel online, but I think a site like this could help fashion lovers stay ahead of trends by networking with other fashion lovers. Also, your product gallery with its reviews and descriptions looks really helpful, and you sure do have some substantial prize offerings for those contests!

What do you think of the sign up process?
It wasn’t problematic. I have to admit, though, that I really don’t like dealing with email confirmation links. I can understand the necessity of that when signing up for a paid subscription service or other site with security needs, but when we’re talking about a site like yours that’s just for fun, I really don’t feel like taking the time to sign into an email account and yada yada.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
Well, I did sign up for a free account so I could access the rest of your site for this review. I’m not that terribly interested in fashion, so I probably wouldn’t have signed up otherwise. However, if I was more interested in fashion, I would certainly sign up as long as your site was free. You mentioned a “free trial,” though, which implies that you might want people to pay for your site at some point. I have to be honest–I don’t see anything on your site worth actually paying for as of now. This looks like a fun site, but if you were going to ask me to pay, I’d need to see some high quality content–articles, reviews, interviews, coupons and discounts, regular product giveaways and/or samples, expert Q&As, and so on and so forth. And even then I’d hesitate to pay. Those discounts would have to be good.

  3. Visit https://ohthatsyou.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

The initial thought is that the site is about finding a good attire that match you, or get advice from experts about how can we get more attractive 🙂

Go to the StyleExchange tab. What do you think this page is about?

The page is mainly intended to take others opinion about what suits you, how do i look, and which is a good pick for me!

here are the points that i noticed,

1)What are those featured wishlist? (i din wish anything 😀 ) h-frame,8 frame?? when i clicked them,it redirected me to the home page. Is confusing and i cannot understand what is that all about!

    ***note this***
2)Do you have a mobile version?, if no , i would suggest you to make necessary changes and have a mobile version in which the user can instantaneosly upload his/her pics. I mean this might be helpful if he/she is selecting a dress from a store, and in that moment he/she can upload it to your site and get review.

3)Concern about the security of your photo, need to think if people will be able to share their personal pic with the world.

4)No mention about who is going to review us. Who are those beauty experts?

5)As far as concerned about normal users, they will not be interested in advising pepole to pick their dress.(they dont have any gain)(may be for a beautiful girl you may help 😛 :D). so you may make it clear ,whoz gonna adivise us.

What do you think of the layout?

    The layout is good.

Go to Beauty tab, what do you think of the page & layout?

Its clear, different beauty products, their price, ratings, user review etc, I think this may be a lot helpful. You can also include the price in thumbnail view. Everything else is fine.

Might be good if you can have an option to buy those products from there.
    The layout is good.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

1)At first user will hav a doubt about how you are going to achieve this, because, to see if an attire matches a person, we hav to see him/her from all directions, it should match his/her complexion, physical features , etc which can be achieved only by seeing him physicaly (this is the mindset of an average customer) so you should give an explanation, about how this is gonna be acieved.

2)There is a button to signup thru facebook and at the top there is a sign in using facebook. This is confusing, should we signup if we have a facebook account? if yes, then what is the difference between normal signup and signup using facebook?

    3) It might be helpful if you include a FAQ , An explanation about actually how this site is gonna work? and will that provide atleast nearly good review, like that we get in person?

What do you think of the sign up process?

As mentioned, joining is easy! 🙂

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

No, because I am not interested in these kinda stuffs, but dont worry its my personal opinion, there are a lot of fashion maniacs 🙂 btw, you said its a free trial, but i did not find anything to pay for this! 🙁

  4. Visit https://ohthatsyou.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

From your home page, the first thing that catch my attention is the ‘how do i look’ keyword. Follow by the few bullets. From there i can guess that this site is about getting advice from expert about the fashion that suit me the most. At here, i would suggest you change the homepage picture which contain a girl holding clothe and other stuffs into a slide show which showing the 4 bullets that you stated beside it. Explain each of the bullet in a slide show will look be more attraction and more comfort for the visitor. It’s interesting when people can click the slides. This also will active the visitor. You can put relevant picture and add some more short description on each slide or u can showing a step by step how it works on the slide. This will look more interesting and professional and it would be more easily for visitor to know what your site is about through the slideshow.

Go to the StyleExchange tab. What do you think this page is about?

It’s a post/comments page which allow people to post clothes or any product that they want and ask or opinion from the site.

What do you think of the layout?

The page layout is simple which i think you can add some colors. For the display post area, which is below the writing box, i suggest for each post you can use a clearer lining which contain orange color lining to separate each of the post with other post. Or you can have a box lining for each of the post. This will look more interesting and would make the user feel it’s much for tidy.

Go to Beauty tab, what do you think of the page & layout?

For this page, the layout is just simple and it’s comfort for user to view it. You can improve it by darken the color not lighter the color. The pink color is too light for me which i feel it’s not interesting and attractive enough. The search product feature should be on top and middle of the gallery which look more comfortable. I suggest that you can still make the word size bigger, as it’s a little too small. It will cause a little difficulty in reading it.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

The site navigators is very good, which it’s clear. I have mentioned about you can add a slideshows which combine all the bullets description. It explained well for all the feature you have in the homepage. Which is clear for visitor to expect what they can get from this site. I think your contest should be on your homepage which stating that your site currently having a contest. This is a marketing technique which could attract more members. It should be in the home page. You can place it at the left side of the page. You also can add a take a tour feature which allow people to see a video or a step by step instruction displaying how your site works for better understanding and allow them to get contact with all the feature you have.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

I dont really find anything from your site that is bothersome. Your site is simple which i don’t feel complicated to it. For the ‘that’s me’ navigation, when my mouse on it, it will appear a bar with few more options. I feel it’s a little weird and annoying when i do not know what can i do with it. I suggest you can place the that’s me at the side bar left or right which it will drop down listing all the options on it. It doesn’t have to be in the menu bar. It look more convenient if you place it at the left side of your homepage with the listing of it’s options. This allow people directly see the features. I like the join for free and sign up thru facebook button. and your page is quite colorful for the menubar which i like it. i also like the concept of your service which really could help many people in deciding and sharing their view as people take serious in fashion.

What do you think of the sign up process?

It’s simple and easy. It does not require me to enter many information such as address or phone number. i just have to enter the main information for the sign in purpose.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

For me no, because i don’t feel i need this kind of service now, maybe in the future i will. For people who are up to fashion and care about how they look with what kind of clothes they wear or accessories would definitely sign up. And it’s free so they will likely to try out. The feature that you provide could help them in finding the answer they want and get advice from other. Make sure you clearly specify what are the main and most perfect feature you have in homepage so that it could directly attract people to sign up for your service.

  5. Visit https://ohthatsyou.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

Oh Thats You helps you get fashion tips from friends and experts.

Go to the StyleExchange tab. What do you think this page is about?

The Style exchange gets opinions of a style from the users. It is kind of like Hot or Not for fashion.

What do you think of the layout?

Layout is not bad, although 2 rows of navigation buttons is confusing! too much.

Go to Beauty tab, what do you think of the page & layout?

It seems like it is a product page to buy, but it is a product page to rate them. I wish the feature to buy it was here or easy to figure out. I don’t see this feature.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

I don’t see any obvious errors or glitches. I am not seeing any problems so far.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

2 rows of navigations buttons. I don’t know what to click on first, but the 2nd row requires sign up. That is annoying. I want to test the features without signing up if I was a first time visitor.

What do you think of the sign up process?

    Easy and straightforward.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

No. I do not have a need for this service.

  6. Visit https://ohthatsyou.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
This site is all about fashion and what looks best on you. You can make mix and match, get advice, window shop and more.
Go to the StyleExchange tab. What do you think this page is about?
This page seems to be about asking other for style choices, advice about what they should wear or what people think of what they have on. It seems that you can rate a look and or leave a written comment for each user. There seems to be two categories on this page one being my community and the oh thats you community but I’m not sure what the difference is. I also see that you have a contest wall which seems really cool but I don’t really understand what the contest is. To me it just seems like people are still just getting on advice on what they should wear.
What do you think of the layout?
I like the general layout of the page but I would like to have it sectioned off into what each user needs. People just asking how they look should be under one tab, those asking what they should wear should be under one tab and so one. I like that you can leave comments and that the comments can only be seen once clicked on. I think that it would be much to consuming to have all the comments out to be seen. I like that people can post pictures but I think that are little on the small side however I would not change the size of the pictures that people but of the styles they want help with. I see that you have separation line between each user and I would like to see that line be a little darker so that you can clearly see a difference from user to user. I find the context box at the top of the page a little confusing when it comes to leaving your views for today. I was a little unsure as to what I was leaving advice for or it that a section where you I can add what I want people to give me advice on?
Go to Beauty tab, what do you think of the page & layout?
This page seems very nice and full of different beauty products. One thing is noticed is that these seem lik higher end products and  I was just thinking how were the products chosen for this site? I like that I can view multiple products at once or I can see one individually. I would have liked to see more everyday products mixed in with the higher priced one to fits the needs of more people. I like that you could add reviews, pick products for yourself and find a place to get the products. The layout is fresh, clean and easy to navigate. I would like to see such easy usage with the rest of pages. When it comes to the pink color I like that it is used throughout the pages but that it isn’t overly used. The shading of the color was a good choice being not bold but not so soft.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
I think  there are two many tabs on the homepage. The uppermost tabs seem to be the most important for general usage while the lower tabs seems to be something that you would see when you logged in. I would however mention those features from the tabs somewhere on the homepage but I wouldn’t use them a tabs. Those words you used as tabs might go great with  captions with pictures. I also liked that you kept your homepage simple  without adding to much detail on it but just simply saying what you can find on your site. I could so see a little interactive video with someone walking you through a day of Oh that’s so you website and how fun it is.

Now I understand the contest after reading the tab with contest on it. But how long does the  contest run for, how often are people picked? Those would be key descriptions when running a contest so people don’t think they are just wasting their time. I also wondered how are winner chosen?
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I can say that wasn’t to thrilled about the pictures used on the homepage. I like the idea but I would have liked to see something a little bit more funky but still reaslitc and down to earth. The girl holding this dress just looked so made up with a background that didn’t look real. The gentle man on the homepage wouldn’t seem like he would make the comment frumpville. When I think of homepage I think of everyday diva and b-boy simple. I would have to see a both a male and female element on the page pick out clothing or asking advice, something of that nature.

Under the profile I like that you have body types but I would have liked to see a body type of women like Queen Latifah, a women who is curvy from head to toe, as not find a body type for everyone. I like that you get you do detailed into letting people pick elements about themselves to make public or private.

You have a great feature using the window shopper and it’s great that you put a video with it. I wasn’t sure if there was supposed to be sound with it or not. It would have been nice to hear what the steps were in using the window shopper. This may sound pointless but I would consider using a picture of a women with just a little less cleavage showing you might have younger users.
What do you think of the sign up process?
The sign up process was quick, fast and easy. I liked the options with signing up and that I quickly recieved my email conformation.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
    Yes.

  7. Visit https://ohthatsyou.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

The site gives a very good first impression. It is tailor made for fashion enthusiasts. It is the perfect website for a girl to spend hours on everyday. The site lets you create your own style, gives you fashion tips, shop for stuff online as well connect you to style enthusiasts from all over the world. All in all, a wonderful concept.

Go to the StyleExchange tab. What do you think this page is about?

This is a page where people exchange their views and ideas on the trends in fashion. This site connects like minded people all over the world. A fashion- forum is a fantastic idea. The very fact that people can get opinions from other people online by posting their pics online is remarkable. Its a novel concept.

What do you think of the layout?

The layout is very attractive. The vibrant colors work well for the site. The logo looks fantastic. The layout is simple and easy to understand. The visuals and the text are equally balanced. The pictoral depictions of apparels work well for the site.
The quote tells a lot about the function of this website. The facebook link is aptly positioned. The tabs look great. The layout is a fantastic one.

Go to Beauty tab, what do you think of the page & layout?

Its slightly disappointing that one can’t buy products online directly from this site. You should work on that. Posting reviews may not interest a lot of people. The layout is brilliant yet again. The colors are fantastic. I like the search feature.
I would like it a bit more if there was a provision to add products in the list. This would increase the database of the site as well as invite more and more people to use it.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

-the layout is attractive . Full marks for that.
-The tabs are useful. I like the style exchange tab the best. I would like to use it myself in the future.
-The ‘create your own style’ function looks interesting. I think a lot of people would want to try this out.
-The login feature is simplistic. This catches the eye of the user. good work.
-I like the fact tht this site is security enabled. There is a privacy link at the very end.
-The facebook link is appropriately positioned.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

I cant say i find anything bothersome. This is a fantastic site.

What do you think of the sign up process?
The sign up is very easy. The process isn’t cumbersome at all. The site is fun to use.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

I would sign up for a free account any day. The features of this site are amazing. I am interested in the style forum and would surely want to try it out. Good work .

  8. Visit https://ohthatsyou.com. Spend no more than 10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
It looks like the site allows you to take a picture of yourself and pictures of your present clothes from your closet and also pictures of clothes off of the web, then put the pics of clothing onto the pic of yourself. Pretty cool, this is a way to try on new clothes and pick out an outfit with your present wardrobe.
Go to the StyleExchange tab. What do you think this page is about?
Its about putting those pictures you created with the clothing pics up online for anyone to help answer questions you have. Also it is to get any additional help from the audience and from experts. I like how you can post your clothing selection and then get the help of experts. Or at least people with better clothing sense than I.
What do you think of the layout?
I like it, it is colorful and eye catching. Everything is clean to find what you are looking for and very intuitive.
Go to Beauty tab, what do you think of the page & layout?
I think the page could use some navigation help. You are just presented with a bunch of products and no way to look at a particular category of products. Either add some tabs or a drop down menu to go to different categories. I also like to see prices right up front and not have to click on something to get to the pricing. However I do also understand the marketing aspect of not showing it up front.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
I went through the signup process and found it quite easy and quick. Even filling out the profile page was a snap. I then did a post with a picture and that was also quite easy to do. I was very pleased with the forms and how the pages were set up.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I could not add clothing from other websites because of the version of Firefox that I use. Version 4.01 Other than that I pretty much liked the site all the way through.
What do you think of the sign up process?
I liked it, it was easy and simple. Even the profile page was easy.
Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
Yes I would and did sign up just because the site is that cool and enticing.
