There is no video that I see on the homepage provided by Startuplift. https://submitpressrelease123.com (just links). When I go to online.submitpressrelease123.com, I see a video. So which one of these URL’s is the true homepage? I’m confused.
The video explains the importance of your site and how it can gain exposure via press releases. The woman’s accent tells us that you are based out of Australia or New Guinea.

There’s the $5.00 social media PR, the 24.95 option, the 319.95 option and the 99.95 option.
It seems like a big jump in price. My estimation is that you will have many select the $5.00 option. How can you have 2 best sellers?

If the online.submitpressrelease123.com is your true homepage, then I don’t like the 4 sections with the paragraphs. Your homepage should be used for selling points that can be scanned quickly, not heavy reading. All of that info will not be read by someone just landing here or stopping by. You have to prove that you are the best at what you do, and your selling points before giving us the heavy reading material.
The video is good, but I might use someone with less accent if you are trying to go for a International audience. Someone might watch it and say, “This is only (or geared for) Australians.” People might think this service is geared for the Australian region.

I think you need to have a visual graphic that simplifies how a person can use your site. Example: Step 1 – write press release Step 2 – upload Step 3 – SubmitPressRelease does the rest.
I don’t think it is obviously clear that you have free options. According to the video, the user/member has to write the 350-400 word press release and then you do the “internet magic.”
Most people will not feel they are capable of writing their own press release.
Also in the video the lady says the website is: submitpressrelease123.com – if they go there for the homepage, then they will not see your video homepage. Which one is your true homepage. That is very confusing why you would have two homepages.
The other homepage appears to be a lot of links. Too many links if you ask me.

Â
This is something that I am personally interested in. I know of a few press release websites, but haven’t used them. I’ll be re-launching my business soon with multiple launches, so press releases are a great way of publicizing these.
Â
The video was packed with information. At the beginning all of it is slow and easy to follow. It is extremely engaging for someone looking for another press release site.
Â
The various features that could be included depending upon the package selected was explained quite quickly. Some of the terms I am not familiar with, so felt a bit lost. Obviously, you want to keep the video short so there isn’t time to explain everything, but you don’t want to lose anyone during an introductory video. Having the terms  appear on the screen, as you did, helps to some degree. I could write them all down and do some research. And it would be preferable not to have to research at this early stage of our relationship (which this is).
Â
A couple of possible solutions might be: (1) speaking about the benefits of the various packages, rather than the specific features (i.e., “We provide multiple forms of analytics so you can know if you’re reaching your target audience†or (2) stating where in depth information about these can be found.
Â
Also, your presenter did an excellent job. My one reservation is: I hope you’re based in Australia (at least, that’s what I perceive her accent to be) or people will assume that you are there anyway. There also is no indication if you national or international in scope. Could someone in the US use your services to reach their target audience?
Â
2) Take a look at our price page and see if it covers clear message. What is your opinion?
Â
Yes and no.
Â
The prices are very clear. Each list is clear as to the features provided. Fortunately, I happened to move my mouse over the different features and see that they are detailed more clearly with balloons/pop-ups.
Â
What isn’t necessarily clear is how packages vary from one another, because the features don’t line up physically on the page. Maybe the easiest way for me to say this is: It is more complex than it might be. I’m not certain how to make it less complex.
Â
It is hard to see: this package provides this, however, this package provides that. I understand that it would be challenging to create a table where the features are listed on the left, such as “SEO†and then you would have a check for each package that has that feature. (I hope that is explained accurately. It is a common way of showing the features of various packages.) However, your packages seem to vary in the amount/quality of services for each feature. For instance, the level of distribution varies from package to package.
Â
Being that it is complex, I am more likely to just choose a package based on what I can afford, rather than what is offered.
Â
Also, I noticed that you do not have a free package or a free trial. A huge number of sites use one or both of these. I don’t know how price release sites usually handle this, other than there are a few sites that offer free posting as an option. In this day and age, people are more likely to use something if they are able to “test drive†it first.
Â
3) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
Â
I wanted to see if I could learn more about the pricing. So, I clicked on details and did find the information. Unfortunately, it was less clear for me than the pricing page. My mind kept asking: “What does this mean?†and “What does that mean?â€
Â
Then, I went to the press release page to see if this site is active and what the press releases look like. The thing that struck me having been dealing with the pricing is that, in nice large letters, it says: “Create Free Account.†Why isn’t that on the home or pricing pages?
Â
The press releases look interesting. Allowing for media is great in today’s market. I notice that there aren’t many options for reposting. Not even Facebook.
Â
4) Is the customer encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Â
I would be encouraged to sign up for a free trial, if I knew there was a free trial. Is it a free account as the press release page shows or a free trial. Oh, I scrolled down to the bottom and it footer mentions has a list that includes signing up for a free account, along with a bunch of other neat stuff that most people are going to miss.
Â
As I mentioned at the beginning, this is a service that might be looking for within the next six months. Therefore, I wouldn’t want to sign up for a free trial today, but might when the time comes.

Â
The video gives a clear explanation of what the site is about. It sums up the process involved and makes it easy to understand what the purpose of your site is. As a blogger myself, it makes me think that it is something I need.
One thing the video had me thinking of though is the proof that the stories submitted to your site really gets high visibility. It made me want to see whether it is true or not.
Â
2) Take at look at our price page and see if it covers clear message. What is your opinion?
On my first look at it, I immediately wanted to know more about each item in the package so I went straight to the “Details” button and was disappointed that I there isn’t much info provided, especially for the “SOCIAL BUZZ…”. But, I later discovered that hovering on each item gives an explanation of what it is about. I think it would be better if it was made more obvious that the items are interactive.
Still, your price page is easy to understand. I was able to get an idea of what comes with each package.
Comparing the contents of the packages was a bit difficult for me. I found myself going back and forth on the lists to see which item does one package have over the other.
I am not familiar with the pricing of this kind of service but I think your prices are reasonable.
A couple of things I did find confusing for a bit was that the “LEGAL PRESS SERVICE” package came last which made me think that it was the highest priced package, which also made me wonder why “PR NEWSWIRE PRESS…” seem to have more options. From what I’ve seen, packages are usually ordered from lowest to highest so this might confuse other users as well.
Another thing is the “optional” word for “Google News” and “Bing News” under the “SOCIAL BUZZ” package. What does it mean? The other packages didn’t have “optional” in them so I’m wondering whether it is optional for the customer or optional for you.
Â
Â
3) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
Â
I wanted to know more about the site and easily found it in the “About us” page. It mentioned what the site is about and the quick summary of the process involved in submitting a press release which helped me understand the site’s service a lot more. I also found a link in the same page explaining more about the service which is also good information. This is a great thing because I always want to know what comes next if I sign up for an account.
One thing I noticed while browsing the homepage for more info, is that the packages’ names/labels are not the same as the ones in the “Pricing” page. It even mentioned a “monthly subscription” which I did not find in the “Pricing” page.
Â
4) Is the customer encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Yes. The site presents its information directly and clearly so customers easily know what it is about, what they get after signing up and see that this service is something useful.
Also, I think the prices are reasonable. It is great that there is a $5/post package so that the customer can give it a try without having to pay too much.
Another reason is that the site seems to already have lots of customers based on the articles posted on the submitpressrelease123.com site. It shows that you already have people who use your services, so that makes you a lot more credible — which could also serve as a proof of the high visibility mentioned in your video.
Â
The video was very easy to understand and hear and at a very good pace. It was nice to be able to stop and start it without it having it go back to the beginning.
2) Take at look at our price page and see if it covers clear message. What is your opinion?
This page was very easy on the eyes to read, however, unless you’re an advanced marketer, there’s no place to find out what each kind of post is.
3) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
Definitely a glossary of the meaning of each term and perhaps a picture of what a post will look like.
4) Is the customer encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Very much and I got excited to want to use your services (see below).
Â
Other notes:
It would nice to have at least 2 different price range of packages because the $29.95 to $319.95 is a huge difference.
1. I think your video is appealing and professional. It presents what you do clearly and concisely with an attractive, understandable actress and complementary visuals. I like it a lot! It definitely makes me want to find out more.
Â
2. I do think your pricing structure is clear, and one thing I really like about it is that I can roll over the features included in each package and see pop-up bubbles explaining what each feature can do for me. (I would just caution you to make sure the text in each pop-up bubble fits inside it. In at least one case, it ran outside the borders.) For those who want a broader picture, the “Details” tab provides it.
Â
3. This may be the first time I’m saying this about a website, but I couldn’t think of anything I wanted to find because you already laid everything out so clearly. As already stated, the intro video provides a great overview. So do the package summaries below it, each of which leads to the pricing page, where there are more explicit details. Logos of the major social media networks that you distribute to are highly visible at the bottom of the home page. Many, many sample press releases can be found on the “Press Releases” page so that visitors can see how they’re styled. You even have some short but sweet articles with tips for PR professionals.
Â
If your site lacks anything, I would say it might be testimonials and more comprehensive “About Us” and “PR Newswire FAQ’s” pages. As far as testimonials, I suggest this because it would be nice to hear from businesses who feel that your service resulted in big time savings and lots of new customers for them. And in the case of the latter pages, I just felt that “About Us” wasn’t really a page about your company, just a rehashing of your services, while the FAQ page wasn’t actually “frequently asked questions.” But those are all fairly minor points. I didn’t have any questions while looking through your site because all my questions were answered upfront, which is a good thing.
Â
4. I’m definitely encouraged to sign up for an account. I think this is a good deal, especially for individuals who want to distribute just one or two press releases. For small businesses who want to access your more powerful features and wider distribution, it quickly becomes more expensive, and I’d have to shop around to see how your rates compare to others. But I think one of the less expensive packages would be a great “test drive,” so to speak. I have the feeling your service could save me a lot of time, and that would be worth the money.
Â
Overall, I think you have a potentially valuable service here, and your website is very good. The layout, design, copy, and presentation are all pretty strong, and what I like most is that it’s very navigable, and all information is provided upfront. As I said, I didn’t feel like I had to go hunting to track down vital info or understand who you are and what you’re selling. Great job!
Â
Note: As an FYI, while I was writing this review, your site went down for a good 10 minutes at least. This was around 3:45 or 3:50pm, EST.
