  1. My first impression was a clean looking website that is user friendly and well designed. I liked the matching colors and the background picture, It looks very modern and stylish. The problem I had with the website as I scrolled down was that every time I clicked on “learn more” next to the download link, I couldn’t find enough information about the app. I think there should more of written text on how the app works and the benefits it provides. There are a few testimonials down the page but that doesn’t give much info. Also when you click the Interface tab it bring you down to the 3 different categories but clicking on learn ore there does not provide any info, instead it prompts you to submit feedback.
I was also looking for a about us tab which I think would be important if it were taking into consideration. People usually like to learn more about the brand before they adopt it, well at least for me. Other than that the website is very appealing and keeps you wanting to stay on it because of it eye-catching design and easy to use interface.

I liked the fact the installation process was easy and straightforward with nothing confusing about it. It was just like any other app I have had installed before.

My understanding of Pushdot App is that it allows you to share a wide variety of your social contact with you friends and family because it lets you import all you contact details in one place. It supports a lot of social platform like skype, instagram , twitter, facebook, google+, Linkedin, soundcloud just to name a few and I liked that.

I wanted to share my new phone number with some of my contacts which I went ahead and do, I must say the process was less confusing than I thought. The only problem was that some of my contacts were not using pushdot yet so I had to manually input their phone numbers, other than that the process was easy and I like the fact it supports a lot of social app.

  2. 1) Look around the home page Pushdot.io – what is your initial impression of what you see?
    – My first impression is that the site design and the layout are very attractive. However, i couldn’t figure out what does pushdot do until i scroll down and read the “what is pushdot” section. After reading the :what is pushdot” section i could understand that it is a contact detail with others. The point is very straight-forward.

    2) Visit this link and download the app on your iPhone/iPad. Note: This step is a must in order to provide feedback. If you do not have access to an i-Device where this App can be installed, please do not participate.

    – Downloaded the app.

3)After you downloaded the app, was the install/launch/signup process straightforward? Did you find anything confusing?
    – The signup process is straight-forward. However, I can’t finish the signup process without uploading a photo which i feel a little bit uncomfortable. For people like me who just wanted to give it a try for an app, i might not want to upload my photo at this moment.

4)Describe your understanding of how Pushdot App works.

    – Pushdot is an app that allow me to share my contacts detail with others inlcuding my contact number, my facebook, twitter and other social media account.
I can add my contact details such as facebook, twitter, instagram, LinkedIn and etc from the contact details page. I can share my contact details by pressing the human icon with a plus sign beside it. I can share it by entering their email or phone numbers and select the details i wanted to share such as my phone number, email, facebook or others.

5)Think of something you can do with this app. Now try to do it. How was the process? Was anything confusing?
I try to share my email and contact number with a friend by email and I am able to do it without any problems.
However I find it confusing on the Pushdot page which it is a blank page and i do not know what does it suppose to show.

Overall, this is a good app for sharing my contact detail that i wanted to let my new friend know. It is specially useful for sales and marketing people who usually meet new people and wanted to share their contact with others quick and easy.

  3. 1.) what is your initial impression of what you see?
when opening the website your attention is immediately drawn to the smart-phone at the right hand side of the web-page. This is because it’s animated. Because of this, you can immediately see what the application looks like on your smart-phone. This is well done, because this way the potential user can judge very fast if they like how its looks or not. Too bad you can’t unlock the phone and see how it looks in the drow-down menu though.

There are 2 distinct buttons to see at first hand. Download of IOS and Learn More. This is clearly displayed against the background and ensures that the user will not have to make any effort in finding the buttons. At the left hand side the share options are displayed in a clean style that fits with the style of the web-page.

The “front-page”/top page of the website is very clear in my opinion and draws the visitor’s attention to the actions required. A nice feature is that you can click on the Learn More button and it will automatically scroll you down to the required section.

At the bottom of the page you can clearly see an indication that there is the opportunity to scroll down. Because the first page’s background is very dark, the second page contrasts enormously. At first scroll, my eyes had to really adjust to the sudden white background. The design elements can be recognised on this screen. The hover over change clearly indicates that the visitor can push them to get more information. It also gives a clear indication of what the app will look like once installed.

The rest of the website fits the same style and design, but isn’t that interesting as it follow basic follow-up for more information for the users.

2.) Visit this link and download the app on your iPhone/iPad.
Upon clicking on the download button i was redirected to another web-page. It was unclear as to where i could download the app. There was no physical button to add the application to your wishlist. So i went ahead and searched it myself in the google play store.

Unfortunately i was unable to find the application in the google play store. Making it impossible for me to analyse it.

3.) I still hope the feedback on the website itself is of use.

  4. My first impression of the website was that it is very organized. The first thing that popped up asked for my email to subscribe. After I clicked off of that, I saw the option to download the app itself or to learn more. If I clicked on the Learn More option or scrolled down, The next part explained the feature. Then it offers to sign you up for a newsletter. You can also learn about the interface of the app, and lastly you can contact the company. When the app first opened, it asked me to if it could send push notifications. After saying no, I can sign up or log in. I signed up pretty easily and can now use the app. I can add contacts and share them.Everything was straight to the point, and I even added a contact to see if that would be confusing. It wasn’t. I think this app will be handy for someone that needs to share their contact information quickly and easily. As far as I can understand, this app is for sharing contact information. It is as simple as that.

  5. 1) Look around the home page Pushdot.io – what is your initial impression of what you see?

My initial impression of the website was that the company and designers are very in tune to the popular website style of today. The large image in the background combined with the clear and useful image of the iphone containing the Pushdot notification was pleasant to look at. I immediately understood the purpose of the company within seconds of opening the page. The ability to share information on the company was also extremely easy to find on the left side. My favorite feature was the bounding arrow and mouse at the bottom encouraging me to “scroll down.” By following this direction, I continued to be shown easy to read and understand information through clear typfaces, colors, and graphics.

    2) Visit this link and download the app on your iPhone/iPad. Note: This step is a must in order to provide feedback. If you do not have access to an i-Device where this App can be installed, please do not participate.

App installed, no issues – created account

3)After you downloaded the app, was the install/launch/signup process straightforward? Did you find anything confusing?

The install and signup process was very simple. I was surprised that I was required to upload a photo but I didn’t mind. Once signed up, I was also expecting to see more guidance but I’m just viewing a pretty blank screen with light gray lines and a media bar at the top. I initially thought it was fairly intuitive as to what to do next being that one little person icon has a plus sign to their top right, but upon clicking it and trying to add someone I see that screen is actually for sharing a contact. Not sure how to add people right now, so I do believe it could be designed into the layout to give more direction at this point, or maybe an initial set of instructions.

4)Describe your understanding of how Pushdot App works.

I understand that its an application for sharing contact and social media information. I’m still not sure how to add people although I’m fairly clear on how to share them once they’re added. I went back to the website to get further instruction and clicked “learn more” under input contact information but that only anchored me to the contact information for question about investments, partnership or employment.

5)Think of something you can do with this app. No try to do it. How was the process? Was anything confusing?

I guess I answered this in my previous responses. I’d like to add contacts but can only find where I can view a list of previously input contacts (which is still blank) and where I can share them. I am very confused on the process of adding.

Hope this helps! 🙂 xoxo Rachel

  6. 1) Look around the home page Pushdot.io – what is your initial impression of what you see?

My first impression is that I see a very well design webpage which explains the application that the website is promoting. I like that all the main information is on one scroll panel when you open up the webpage and you have the option to jump to a specific section with the button menu at the top of the screen. The information is organized well with the picture of a phone with the app in the centre of the screen and various key features surrounding the image. The light background makes it easy on the eyes while viewing the information. Most of the color on this website is within the app pictures itself which makes it stand out quite well and be the focus of the webpage. The clarity of the purpose of the app would entice me to install the app with hopes that it were as well designed as this webpage.

    2) Visit this link and download the app on your iPhone/iPad. Note: This step is a must in order to provide feedback. If you do not have access to an i-Device where this App can be installed, please do not participate.

    This step has been completed.

    3) After you downloaded the app, was the install/launch/signup process straightforward? Did you find anything confusing?

The install/launch/sign up process seemed straightforward, but while using an ipad to sign up for this app I encountered some issues. First, keyboard did not have an option to go back down with the press of a button. Even though there was a NEXT button this only work till you needed to input your phone number. After this there was no way to get to inputting the password as the screen would not scroll down far enough and the keyboard was in the way. An when you press the “Checkmark” it says you have info missing but again are not able to scroll down as the keyboard is in the way. It took me 4 attempts at signing up. I tried doing everything in order twice, then tried setting the password first, but the keyboard blocked the option for adding a picture. Finally I set the picture, set the password, then filled in the name, email, and phone number. It took way to long for that section of the signup. I would have stopped signing up after the second attempt. When getting to the section for adding Social Media Accounts (Facebook, Instagram, ect) I found that if you pressed on the social media button, it opened that app in the Pushdot app and you had to finish signing into that social media app as there was no way to go back to the pushdot screen.

    4) Describe your understanding of how Pushdot App works.

It seems as though this app is for sharing your contact info and social media contact info to other people. You connect your information and social media accounts to this app then sent that information to other by text who don’t have the app (which give them info on downloading the app) or if they have the app then you can send your info directly to their phone through the app and it remains stored there if ever you need to access it. It is basically a more complex business card with option of sending contacts specific information you want them to have.

    5) Think of something you can do with this app. Now try to do it. How was the process? Was anything confusing?

I shared some of my info with my wife to her phone. As she did not have the app it was sent via text which provided the links to the social media account I selected to share as well as the link to download the app from iTunes. This process was the easiest so far. I just had to type in her email or phone number and select which info I wanted to share. Very simple and straightforward.

  7. Initial impression is that the website is just an ad. Doesn’t draw me in too much. I’m a mom and I am almost always multitasking, so if I have to leave my children and go into another room or get off the phone or pause / turn off background noise, an ad isn’t going to get me to stick around.
Apart from that, the site was easy to navigate and pretty straight forward. Only thing was that when I pushed the “home” button, nothing happened no matter where I was on the page.

Install / sign up was straightforward. I didn’t like that it required my picture in order to continue. I would prefer the opportunity to add that in later.

My understanding is that the push dot app stores whatever data I want to be able to share with others in a networking setting and then I can get the app to send that info to whomever I like via the app itself or possibly texting or something- I briefly saw on website something about this working even if the other person doesn’t have the app.

I sent my information to my husband via a text through push for. Was a little confusing. I don’t think the symbols are very clear. Would have been more straightforward if there had been some labels like “send my info” or something. That being said, now that I’ve figured it out, I wouldn’t need any labels if my goal is to simply sent texts through this app.

Clever idea though- I hate having to type out all my info to text every time someone wants it.

  8. 1. The Pushdot.io home page begins too minimalist-esque in style, in my opinion. When I first see the page, the main image is of an iphone with a ‘contact information’ notification. You don’t get an immediate idea of what Pushdot is at all. The demographic viewing the site needs to immediately understand it–that’s the only way they’re going to realize it’s ‘for them’. Even when you scroll down, Pushdot has a contradictory explanation of itself: the main one sentence explanation says it’s for ‘contacts’, while one inch down and to the left, it says ‘Pushdot is not a contacts app’. The page has a good color scheme, aesthetic, but the top of the page needs to concisely convey what the app is for. The page should be re-designed.

    2. I used Pushhdot on my iphone.

    3. The only confusing part of the install/signup process was the strange requirement of a picture. Anyone who’s going to be using brand new apps loves takes selfies and customizing everything–but making it a requirement to start using the app really puts you off, as it’s a hassle to suddenly take a pic off the cuff like that. You want to get users in as fast as possible, then send them a reminder message if they haven’t already put a photo in. I think this demographic won’t need any reminders.

    4. Pushdot appears to be a mesh of the old AIM, facebook and dated LinkedIn. Since LinkedIn is terrible, and facebook is just for the old people [or behind the times people] now, this could be a viable app with a future. They need to add instant messaging for it to truly be great though. If facebook has it, everyone has to have it. It’s the modern default.

    5. The app needs to expand its scope, as the only thing to do is to share contact information–so when you send it to a friend, that’s great, but there should be a higher level of customization available. The great part of the app is when you just use it as a better ‘Contacts’ feature–though Apple’s normal contacts feature is nice, this one seems to quickly link you to any type of page/online thing a person could have. And it’s that ‘quickly’ that makes it seem like a good app. The app is not very confusing, if only because it is so simple/limited in scope.

  9. 1) Look around the home page Pushdot.io – what is your initial impression of what you see? I think the homepage looks very stylish and professional. I think more background on the company along with more examples of what you can do with the app should be added.

    2) Visit this link and download the app on your iPhone/iPad. Note: This step is a must in order to provide feedback. If you do not have access to an i-Device where this App can be installed, please do not participate.

3)After you downloaded the app, was the install/launch/signup process straightforward? Did you find anything confusing? Very simple and fast

4)Describe your understanding of how Pushdot App works.
It is a networking app, you have all your contacts on all social media in one place.

5)Think of something you can do with this app. Now try to do it. How was the process? Was anything confusing?
I shared something with my friend over twitter, it was very easy and straightforward.

  10. 1) What was my initial impression of what I see? When I first saw the home page I thought this looks like an easy app to use and it can make networking easier. The dots really grabs your attention as soon as you see them with their colors.

    2) After I downloaded the app on my iPad, was the process straightforward or confusing? Right after I downloaded the app I ran into a little problem with the setup. For some reason I had a problem with getting to the area for my password reentry, so to solve the problem I started the signup over and entered my passwords first and it worked this time. But after that little confusing problem it was easy going from there.

    3) How the Pushdot App. works? From my understanding it makes it easier to share my information with others I want to be in contract with on the social media I use.

    4) How was the process and was it confusing? After I finish with setting everything up I started getting my contracts. The process was actually not confusing at all and really is easy to use.

  11. Very simple design is aesthetically pleasing. Nice font.

    1) Look around the home page Pushdot.io – what is your initial impression of what you see?

    – I really like the long, lean website page; it maintains interest while still being simplistic. The use of transparency and dark-light contrast was attention-grabbing.

    2) Visit this link and download the app on your iPhone/iPad. Note: This step is a must in order to provide feedback. If you do not have access to an i-Device where this App can be installed, please do not participate.

    – Downloaded on iPhone 5.

3)After you downloaded the app, was the install/launch/signup process straightforward? Did you find anything confusing?

    – Downloading the app and registering/signing up for an account was easy. I didn’t realize that I needed to select a picture, but the prompt after selecting the checkmark allowed me to quickly fix my error. The user interface on my iphone is very minimalistic, with literally 3 main option choices (seach contacts, add contacts, edit settings).

4)Describe your understanding of how Pushdot App works.

    – The way I understand Pushdot, it is an app that enables you to connect quickly and easily with others. In literally just a few touches to your phone, you can maintain connections with people who regularly use social networking apps like Facebook, Twitter, etc.

5)Think of something you can do with this app. No try to do it. How was the process? Was anything confusing?

I tried accessing the contacts on my iPhone and adding them to my Pushdot account but was unsuccessful. Is it possible to sync existing iPhone contact info with Pushdot? Because I do not use social networking sites, I am not sure how useful Pushdot would be for me.

  12. 1) Look around the home page Pushdot.io – what is your initial impression of what you see?

Website is colorful and streamlined.  With one click you can access all the information about the app, which is convenient. The alternative option to simply scroll down through information and sign up screens was appreciated.  It’s always nice seeing clearly presented sharing options.  Menu at the top is a bit touchy, sometimes appearing/disappearing for no clear reason.

    2) Visit this link and download the app on your iPhone/iPad. Note: This step is a must in order to provide feedback. If you do not have access to an i-Device where this App can be installed, please do not participate.

Downloaded the application on my iPad with no problems.

3)After you downloaded the app, was the install/launch/signup process straightforward? Did you find anything confusing?

Install and launch were flawless.  Sign up was tricky.  The screen would not scroll down to the password input and confirmation boxes.  After some poking around I realized that depending on which box I had selected, I could scroll down differing lengths of the screen.  Using this I managed to fill out those last boxes and submit my information to activate my account.  It was however confusing indeed.

4)Describe your understanding of how Pushdot App works.

Basically, you fill out your contact information for any and all of the supported types.  I chose phone, email and website but enjoyed how many other available options there were.  Then, once you have as many as you want filled out, you can enter the email or telephone number of anybody and send them all of your contact data in one concise message.

5)Think of something you can do with this app. No try to do it. How was the process? Was anything confusing?

I decided to try to send my contact information to a friend of mine who was with me at the time.  That way I could confirm reception.  First I tried sending a text to their phone, but after repeated attempts I could not get it to send.  When I put in the phone number and hit send, it opens up an iMessage window, and sure enough it is made out to the correct phone number, and the dialogue box has my correct info, but it hasn’t been sent.  The send button is gray and does not respond to clicks.  I can edit the text in the box, but it has no effect on the fact I cannot click send.  The only other buttons are for a photo (also grayed out) and to cancel, which does work.  Maybe I’m missing something but it seems broken.  Then I tried to email my friend.  I double checked the address was correct and hit send.  The screen showed me “sending…” And an animated wheel to indicate it was sending.  It sat doing that for about 10 minutes before I hit cancel.  I tried again.  I did not wait 10 minutes the second time, probably only 1 minute.  It never sent.  My friend checked their email and confirmed it never arrived.  This function also seems broken, at least for the iPad version.  Again, maybe I have missed something, but the premise and presentation are straightforward and clear.  It just doesn’t seem to go through.  I have never really had any problems sending messages or emails from a variety of other applications.  So yes, very confusing.

  13. 1.The website is very clean and appealing to the eye. It is very colorful and I like that. I also like the examples of what the app is going to look like on my phone, even the notifications. It explains very well the basics of what the app does. I am expecting to find out more about why it is only app I need for networking once I download the app. I expect to be able to share different social media connections with people at the push of a button.
    2.I downloaded the app.
3.As I was signing up, I did not understand what the checkmark was for. I tried to click on it as a way to submit my response but that did not work. Once I entered all of my info and added a photo, it seemed to automatically go on to the next step. There could be more instruction given throughout the signup process, such as “now select the social media you would like to add” or something like that.
4.This is my understanding. I can enter a new contact’s phone number or email and then choose which info I want to share with them. For example, I can share my facebook, email and phone number by selecting each of those. It is unclear If that other person would have to have the app, but I assume they would. I am also unsure if they would automatically become my facebook friend, or would it send a request, or would it just provide them with my profile at the click of a button? I think this is helpful because so many times I meet someone and want to add them, but I don’t know the exact spelling of their name, or what their profile name is, or in the case of a common name, which one is them?
5.I decided to share my email address with myself through one of my other emails. I was able to figure out how to do it very easily. I checked my email, and sure enough, I had received an email from pushdot giving me the contact info and picture. It was very clean and appealing to me, and I can see how this could certainly take the place of business cards. This answers my question regarding whether someone without the app could receive my information. Nothing was confusing through this process, though I did have to “guess” which button to press when it came to sending the information. With some improvements, I can see myself using this app for networking purposes.

  14. 1) Look around the home page Pushdot.io – what is your initial impression of what you see?
The website was clean, user friendly, and easy to use. Only complaint on initial website usability: when I clicked ‘Home’, I expected to be scrolled back up to the top of the site, but that didn’t happen (I guess that link does not work). Great branding and color scheme, however, the two-scale colors on the words (separating Pushdot) seemed unnecessary. I would prefer just black to make the actual tealish dot stand out the most. I knew immediately what the app was for based on the information provided even on the first section. And, if that doesn’t explain it to the user, I liked that the ‘Learn More’ button brought me to the section I needed. There are quite a few ways to navigate the site which I appreciate as well.

3)After you downloaded the app, was the install/launch/signup process straightforward? Did you find anything confusing?
Install and launch was extremely straightforward. Pretty straightforward sign up process as well. When signing up, however, I was not aware I was required to import a photo. I recommend making that more clear with words across the photo avatar or something.

4)Describe your understanding of how Pushdot App works.
My understanding of Pushdot is that I import all of the contact information I would want a new contact I make when meeting someone out or networking to have. When meeting a new contact, I can click on the contact information I deem necessary for that specific person to have, therefore I can make different contact info combinations for different types of people I meet (i.e. social vs. professional). Once I enter their phone number or email and click the contact info buttons I deem necessary, I can share and send via text or email provided.

5)Think of something you can do with this app. No try to do it. How was the process? Was anything confusing?
The process seems extremely easy! I would use this app while networking at a tradeshow to easily provide my new contacts with my professional information. This would be much easier than passing out business cards and just one less thing to remember since I always have my phone on me!

  15. 1) My first impression of the Pushdot homepage was that it was very clean and user friendly. The design and opening is very minimalistic yet users and visitors can gain an understanding of what the app provides before scrolling down to more detailed explanations of what you can do on the app.

    2) Downloaded

    3) The installation process was very straightforward just like any other app. The signup process was just as simple as any other networking site. I liked that it only asked for the basic information at first. I don’t think the addition of a photo should be necessary before moving on in the signing up process though. It was a little confusing on what you were supposed to do on the setup page that shows up after putting in the personal information. After clicking on one of the icons it became clear that you are supposed to link your other social accounts to Pushdot.

    4) The Pushdot is supposed to make networking with people easier by having all their contact information from social media in one location. You can add friends and contacts easily from any type of social media platform but you also have the choice to share only certain platforms with people so you are not forced to connect with people on all forms of social media.

    5) I wanted to connect the app with a couple social media sites. After leaving the setup screen it was a little difficult to find again but after getting back to it, it was very straightforward on which sites connected well with Pushdot.

  16. 1) Look around the home page Pushdot.io – what is your initial impression of what you see?
My initial impression is that the website is very well made and it seems to be targetting younger audience with its design (at least this was the impression I got). I think older generation might get dizzy a little with links flying around. Overall I like the website, it has a product description, like button and an option to share it which is very important. However I find that the colors of the website created a very bright contrast which is not visually appealing. What I mean is that first you look at the picture of the city which is brightened down and then boom and you get a sharp white color. I find that the white should be brightened down a little or the initial image should be brightened up to allow the smooth transition between the 2 parts of the website.

    2) Visit this link and download the app on your iPhone/iPad. Note: This step is a must in order to provide feedback. If you do not have access to an i-Device where this App can be installed, please do not participate.

I’ve downloaded the app and the process was very smooth. I did not encounter any problem with downloading the product whatsoever.

3)After you downloaded the app, was the install/launch/signup process straightforward? Did you find anything confusing?

After I’ve downloaded the app. I got a screen view where it says Pushdot and underneath it says “Networking made simple”. Then underneath I’ve noticed an “i” button and I assumed that it was some kind of welcome message or description of what I should do next, however it just says v1.01. I find this “i” is unnecessary there. Maybe you could consider actually putting up a welcome message in the app which the user gets to see once he downloaded the app? Once I’ve downloaded the app. I instinctively wanted to scroll up or down thinking that there would be some kind of message but the only option was to log in or sign up. I would put up a short welcome message and then invite the user to sign up. I think it would make the whole process more smooth.

Initially I wanted to sign up without using my photo but it appears that it does not allow you to sign up without the photo. I think the user should have an option to upload the photo later like that they can sign up now and start using the app without any problems.

4)Describe your understanding of how Pushdot App works.
As I understood is that you download the app and then when you are networking the other person can send you their profile and contact info via PushDot instead of giving you a business card. Also you can connect contacts into PushDot networks.

5)Think of something you can do with this app. No try to do it. How was the process? Was anything confusing?
I tried to add a user and put in my phone number thinking if it will suggest me who is using this product but I guess it was not meant for that. Since there is no real instruction I am following trial and error route. So I pressed on envelope image and put in my other e-mail adress and then clicked on the symbol that resembles “upload”. I got notification that my e-mail was sent but I was not really aware of what I was doing. I got e-mail in my other inbox that I received contacts and when I opened it, I found out that it send my profile e-mail adress info to my other info. I highly recommed creating a short description of what the user should be doing or what steps he should take to accomplish something otherwhise it is a little confusing. Now I understand how this works, I can send my info via e-mail or phone number. I noticed that I can use the app via facebook which is also great.

To conclude I beleive that you have a great idea but you should make it more user-friendly. Start by creating a short FAQ of what steps should accomplish what task. Some older generations are not that familiar with computers so providing them general guidance would be great. Also I would put up a description of what your product actually is. I know that it is broken down here and there into short phrases but I beleive that you would benefit from adding a tab called “about” where you can give a clear description of what your product does. I wish you good luck!

  17. 1) Look around the home page Pushdot.io – what is your initial impression of what you see?

Reviewing on MacBook Pro 10.7.5, Firefox 43.0.4

    – On loading, the social media icons came up first on the left but I did not recognize the crown icon so I hovered over it with my mouse and it only told me that it was (javascript)
    – Once it loaded the the moving arrow icon at the bottom of the screen caught my eye immediately.
    – I read “Networking Made Simple” first, I read it as making it easy to set up LAN or WIFI networks. It was not clear if it was free, which would make me interested enough to click through.
    – I noticed that it’s an app for an iphone by the image on the right.
    – After a couple of minutes a popup box appeared “Join Us!
Receive updates and vote on upcoming new features!
    Powered by SumoMe”

    2) Visit this link and download the app on your iPhone/iPad. Note: This step is a must in order to provide feedback. If you do not have access to an i-Device where this App can be installed, please do not participate.

    Reviewing on Apple IPhone 5s 9.2.1 AT&T
    Completed download

3)After you downloaded the app, was the install/launch/signup process straightforward? Did you find anything confusing?

    – The install process was very easy and I launched the app right away.
    – I selected the Information icon expecting to see a short description but it only showed me the app version number.
    – I touched “Sign Up”

    – I found it odd to have to include my phone number at this point.
    – I completed all of the information and hit done but nothing happened.
    – So I assumed I needed to touch the check mark icon which was odd to me because I thought it was saying that it was completed. I received a “Validation Error” which was strange wording telling me to upload my photo.
    – It was not clear to me that I needed to do that up front. The photo icon does not communicate that something needs to be added and/or is required, a “+” icon might help.
    – I would normally just exit and delete the app at this point.
    – Actually none of the fields indicate that they are required up front.
    – Using a photo from “Library” was confusing, it should say “Photo Album” like all iphone apps do because it matches the nomenclature.

4)Describe your understanding of how Pushdot App works.

Pushdot makes it easy for me to send my contact information via multiple social media spaces at the press of a button to anyone.

5)Think of something you can do with this app. No try to do it. How was the process? Was anything confusing?

    – I could send my contact information to a new Facebook friend.
    – I selected the Facebook icon on the screen and tried to login but it was cancelled (by Facebook?)
    – I tried to add my Skype details, which worked, and then I selected the check mark icon to complete this screen.
    – I selected the upper left person icon, which went to a page “Contacts” but none were listed, so I went back and choose the upper right person icon. I selected the skype button and then entered one of my other email addresses, I then touched “Share” text but nothing happened, then I selected the upper right arrowbox icon and it was successfully sent.
    – This process was confusing. I was not sure exactly where I was in the process from screen to screen. Descriptive text was lacking or nonintuitive.
    – I received an email from Pushdot in gmail. The content was minimized so I had to select “…” to see the message and had to scroll down more than necessary to see the skype information which was only my username. It seemed like a lot of steps to just send someone my skype username.
Thank you, best of luck with you app!

  18. 1) Look around the home page Pushdot.io – what is your initial impression of what you see?
My initial impression of the website is that its very colorful. I liked how as you scrolled down more things seemed to pop up. Also, on the left hand side was the social media that the app works with and so it was nice to see if they were sites that I liked to use. I think the initial “pop up” of a iphone was a tad odd, I would have liked to see something different. I understand its an app/website that makes getting to different social media sites easier but I think just a phone as the initial background isnt a good choice.

    2) Visit this link and download the app on your iPhone/iPad. Note: This step is a must in order to provide feedback. If you do not have access to an i-Device where this App can be installed, please do not participate.
    I downloaded the app.

3)After you downloaded the app, was the install/launch/signup process straightforward? Did you find anything confusing?
The installation was very easy, so was searching for the app in the app store (unique name made it an easy find). Signup process was easy, I dont like how I HAD to add a photo, I think thats something I would choose to do at a later date if I liked the app enough to use. It was definitely straightforward, very simple, I like how you could add the sites you wanted to use right from the start. Nothing was very confusing, I think maybe a tutorial or walk through of how the app works initially would be a nice touch just to get the users acquainted with the app.

4)Describe your understanding of how Pushdot App works.
I believe that Pushdot is another social media app but on top of that it includes all the contacts and people you know from all your other social media apps. Its also a little bit more sophisticated, you wouldnt see a 10 year old using this. It makes getting in contact with people easier, and makes it easier to make connections.

5)Think of something you can do with this app. No try to do it. How was the process? Was anything confusing?
I decided to try and invite some friends to use the app. It was easy to click the invite tab, and type a little message to them about maybe why I think they should download it or why I liked it and would like them to join. I like how it kind of automatically pops up with a link, because having to copy and paste that into seperate messages just would take too long and I wouldnt want to do it.

  19. 1) Look around the home page Pushdot.io – what is your initial impression of what you see?

-Upon visiting the site, it appears to be very clean and professional, yet still basic without superfluous information. It is very user friendly, however at first glance once it loaded, I saw there were no menu buttons anywhere which confused me until I tried to scroll down and they appeared. Also, when I first loaded the site, my browser was not maximised and the little bouncing icon at the bottom saying to scroll down was not visible. I did not know I had to scroll down until I played around a bit. I noticed this was not a problem if the browser is maximised.

    2) Visit this link and download the app on your iPhone/iPad. Note: This step is a must in order to provide feedback. If you do not have access to an i-Device where this App can be installed, please do not participate.

-Completed and Downloaded on iPad 2

3)After you downloaded the app, was the install/launch/signup process straightforward? Did you find anything confusing?

-Initially I was frustrated with trying to sign up to an account. I filled out the details first then clicked to add a photo, but the number keyboard from entering my phone number blocked the pop up asking if I wanted to use my camera or photo roll. I also couldn’t get to the password field after entering the phone number, there was no room to scroll down further so it was visible and no option to tab to it. I couldn’t get the number pad to go away either, but eventually completed the sign up by entering my photo first, then password followed by all the other fields.

Other than these issues, which may have just been me, the sign in process was very simple and easy to link accounts etc. The install and launch process I found to be the same as any other app I have downloaded, very simple.

4)Describe your understanding of how Pushdot App works.

-Pushdot appears to be a business networking tool mainly, however I can see it would be useful to just about anyone in order to exchange contact information which includes all social networking sites too. This app has the potential to make business cards redundant as it states on the web site. It works by me being able to send my contact information to other pushdot and non-pushdot users.

5)Think of something you can do with this app. No try to do it. How was the process? Was anything confusing?

-I sent my contact details to a person and this worked very well when I input an email address. The email came through in less than a minute and the process of sending the information was very easy to do. I also tried to do this to a phone number but nothing came through. I did not find anything confusing with the process.

  20. 1) Look around the home page Pushdot.io – what is your initial impression of what you see?

Liked: The simple, modern look, easy to read text, easy to browse through.

Disliked: Not enough info about Pushdot, what it is, what it does etc. I think the slogan “Networking made simple” is a bit generic and doesn’t capture much attention. Personally I would say something about “no more business cards” or something similar.

In my humble opinion, to attract people to a new product, you have to solve an existing issue. Networking itself is pretty easy so I think advertising for what you are solving (No more business cards) is more enticing.

    2) Visit this link and download the app on your iPhone/iPad.

    Done

3)After you downloaded the app, was the install/launch/signup process straightforward? Did you find anything confusing?

Liked: Installing it was easy, no issues there. Signup was easy and straight forward.

Disliked: I tried signining up without a photo and it gave me an error, and when I tried to insert a photo, it didn’t work, I had to start over. I don’t think having a photo should be mandatory. Also the website colors are different than the app colors. I think it should be the same, maybe have the name “Pushdot” as the app, so it’s memorable and easy to find.

4)Describe your understanding of how Pushdot App works.

My understanding is that you can add people’s profiles from sites like facebook, linkedin, skype etc and you can have all their info in one place. The idea itself is pretty cool.

5)Think of something you can do with this app. No try to do it. How was the process? Was anything confusing?

I mentioned above that the only issue I had with it was uploading a photo, or the issue with not wanting to upload a photo. Not a big deal though. Otherwise it seems pretty simple and direct.
Oh and I didn’t see an option to delete my profile if I choose to do so? Maybe if I just log out…? I think there sould be an option to delete profile.

    Thank you.

  21. 1) Look around the home page Pushdot.io – what is your initial impression of what you see?
    – I first thought that It is an application like Badoo or Lovoo, to meet new people around you.

    2) Visit this link and download the app on your iPhone/iPad. Note: This step is a must in order to provide feedback. If you do not have access to an i-Device where this App can be installed, please do not participate.
    – I have access to an iOS device and I downloaded the application and installed it.

3)After you downloaded the app, was the install/launch/signup process straightforward? Did you find anything confusing?
-Yes, It was quite straightforward, there was nothing confusing, but there was this auto-correction while you fill your details, it would keep on correcting my information.

4)Describe your understanding of how Pushdot App works.
-At first, it was confusing that how this app works or what is it used for, or maybe even why is it for. But later on I figured out that This application is used to share your contact information.

5)Think of something you can do with this app. No try to do it. How was the process? Was anything confusing?
-I tried emailing my contact information to a friend. and he received it quickly, it was not confusing, at first a bit confusing, but its VERY SIMPLE to use.

  22. 1) My first impression of the Pushdot.io homepage is that it is very clean, easy to read – with few choice words, and great imagery – size and amount were just right. The icons shown lets me know what media contact information can be shared through this app.

    2) App downloaded

    3) The installation/launch/sign up process was straightforward and simple. There were no confusion as there were few buttons to navigate through which is a plus. To input several user accounts across different media took only a few minutes so that was tolerable. So far no glitches here and everything went rather smoothly.

    4) My understanding of this app is that it is the fastest way to share contact information with someone else with a click or a few clicks depending on what method of contact you want to share with by selecting the button icon(s). This is far faster than “sharing contact” via your your phonebook “Contacts” because you don’t have to type in any urls or web address since it connects you thru the icons for the “shared with” person.

    5) So I tested the app out by sharing a few of my contact info with other email accounts and it was successful except when I sent info to my gmail account (not the email I input into pushdot) and that would not go through. I tried several times and each time it would go through my cable provider email account but not to gmail. I have sent a problem report to their support regarding my issue. I like this app as it comes in very handy when having to share contacts often with my business partner. Hopefully I can get the problem solved/figured out with the gmail issue.

  23. 1) Look around the home page Pushdot.io – what is your initial impression of what you see?

The website seems creative and refreshing. Everything is very clear and neatly organized, I like the design very much. Scrolling through it, everything seems to be working fluently. I appreciate that the pictures are in high quality which enriches the whole experience. I enjoy the color combination of white and green which makes the website more exciting and fun to look at. I do not seem to have any misunderstanding reading the content.

    2) Visit this link and download the app on your iPhone/iPad. Note: This step is a must in order to provide feedback. If you do not have access to an i-Device where this App can be installed, please do not participate.

I did not have any issues with downloading the app.

3)After you downloaded the app, was the install/launch/signup process straightforward? Did you find anything confusing?

Downloading and installation process were working correctly and the app was successfully installed. There weren’t any technical difficulties while launching the app and the signup process was indeed straightforward and clear. I haven’t noticed anything that would confuse me or make me misunderstand certain things, the whole process went as it should. Everything is nice and clear.

4)Describe your understanding of how Pushdot App works.

Pushdot’s goal is to expand your contact information with your friends and acquaintances. It offers a simple and a minimalist approach which helps the user and speeds up the process. Within seconds, you can share all your contact and social media information with the targeted person. It saves up time and makes socializing easier.

5)Think of something you can do with this app. No try to do it. How was the process? Was anything confusing?

I tried to share contact details with one of my friends and it went through successfully. I did not experience any difficulties, my friend and I shared our information. Everything was clear and correct, I did not have any misunderstandings. I appreciate the purpose of this app and I’m glad to see that there are people who come up with such ideas. I would not change anything about the app, I like the way it functions and I’m a fan of the design.

  24. My initial impression about the web page is positive. I liked the colours used. And it is clean and too the point. It is easy and quick to navigate through the site. However it is not very informative and does not provide any motivation to sign up for the service or the app. Seems like for most of additional information you have to go to contact us page. One could provide additional information in from of a drop down box so in case someone wants more info they can get it there and not wait to get in touch. There is not page for FAQ also.

It was very easy to launch, register and download he app. It is very user friendly and quick in that aspect. It is not confusing.
However once inside the app it is confusing. I tried to save a contact but was unable to do it. I am not clear on if you can share only your own contact with others or can shave someone else contact too with other individuals. Tried to use the link to connect with Facebook friends but that had an error massage.
The design of the app is good. It make every thing look simple and easy to do but some how I was not able to share contact or import any information.

  25. 1) Look around the home page Pushdot.io – what is your initial impression of what you see?

I think it is about networking related application. Website is not crowded or overwhelming. Looks easy to operate, and fun to use.

    2) Visit this link and download the app on your iPhone/iPad. Note: This step is a must in order to provide feedback.

I downloaded the app on my i-phone 6s

3)After you downloaded the app, was the install/launch/signup process straightforward? Did you find anything confusing?

The sign up process was easy, downloading the app took a while, probably because I didn’t have wifi but other than that it was pretty smooth.

4)Describe your understanding of how Pushdot App works.

I think I can set up all my social accounts here and and share my information. I think that can be pretty convenient.

5)Think of something you can do with this app. No try to do it. How was the process? Was anything confusing?

I tried to set up my e-mail and pressed the register button but nothing happened. Same with youtube setup – it would not register. I am still not sure how it works.

  26. Feedback for:
App URL: Pushdot – Networking made simple.
    Website URL: http://www.Pushdot.io

    Feedback Provider: Susan Ledford

    1) Look around the home page Pushdot.io – what is your initial impression of what you see?

My first impression of your website was how professional it looked. Very sharp and appealing to the eye. I was able to immediately understand the purpose and functionality of Pushdot. I like the simplicity of the features provided on the website. No long, boring explanations to sift through. It gives the potential user the idea that it’s simple to use which is a great selling point.

3)After you downloaded the app, was the install/launch/signup process straightforward? Did you find anything confusing?

Install was extremely fast and the signup process very quick and smiple. No confusion at all.

4)Describe your understanding of how Pushdot App works.

It stores all of your personal and/or professional contact information from several different social/professional sites on the web and let’s you decide which contact or profile info you want to share with someone via the “dots” you choose. Can be used to keep your private and professional life separate while allowing people to contact you easily.

5)Think of something you can do with this app. No try to do it. How was the process? Was anything confusing?

I sent my Facebook page to several friends. No, it wasn’t confusing at all. Very easy to use!

  27. 1) Look around the home page Pushdot.io – what is your initial impression of what you see?

    My impressions.

    1) The website look and feel is good

    2) I feel it would be better to shift homepage down (i.e download for ios) for two reasons
first, It’s better to explain the user/customer whoever visits the website to explain first what it is and how its going to make their life easier. an introductory video of 60 – 90 seconds will be an added advantage
second, you only offer app in only one platform. If an android user like me visits the website he immediately closes the site as you are not offering app in other platforms currently. instead if we add the what it is and how it works etc, He may suggest some of his friends(word of mouth) or he may ask you for android version.
so, I feel it’s better to remove the Homepage (i.e first template/ios app link) and explain about the product

    3) As I was scrolling down in the next slide (what is Pushdot?) I think you can do it better.
The central Image grabs the all attention, Instead you can divide it into 2 to 3 more slides with each point and image side by side with increased font size.(1. what is pushdot 2. 1:1connection 3. simple sharing and social stream etc). It gives more details and simple explanation. (check apple website see how they explain about their each product like iPhone/mac/iPad etc)

    4) No of shares on the lest side (its 124 as of now) I feel it’s completely unnecessary.

I hope it helps you, Thank you and All the best.
