Do you understand what the site is about just by looking at the home page for about 15 seconds?
Absolutely. The concept behind the idea is clear and concise. As a down part, I think your video should me more engaging, more marketing. Don’t show only the login process, which is the same in every website, tell a story, tell the users how can they benefit from it!
Are provided texts clear and understandable for you?
Yes, they are clear. Nonetheless, I have two more suggestions to improve them:
1 – Make sure all the screenshots, examples, videos, etc. have examples in English. I understand that it doesn’t look that different, but for a new user, it’s a big plus, if they understand every word.
2 – When you open the website, you should know what to read in the first second. you may think in the possibility of highlighting in the middle center of the page the main advantage of your brand.
What do you think of the sign up process?
Profissional. Nothing to add here.
What do you like and dislike about the service?
(+) – it helps the user with something that he needs. in other words, you not creating the demand, it already exists!
The design of the website is quite good. That helps to retain new users, as they trust the brand much more.
It’s so straightforward. new thing, new person, lend, borrowed. Everyone understands it. No learning curve, means more engagement.
(-) – You have to convince a person so much, that he has to convince his friends to use it was well, which is much more difficult. You have to find a way to overcome this issue.
You will need more features in the near future (fortunately, there are so many possibilities), so users don’t think you’re just an alert system.
Overall, keep the right balance between a simple and clean product, with feature-rich one.
Do you know any other similar services that can be compared to?
Your competitors, for the time being, are the note-taking apps, like Evernote or Springpad. Explain your users how you are different from them.
Would you sign up for a Pro account with some extra features in the future?
Everyone will. But you have to tell the features first, then we know if it’s worth it. Freemium strategies work all over the Internet, I’m sure if you have a good value proposition, you’ll sell it.
How do you remember your rent and borrowed things so far?
No. I always remember I borrowed my book to someone, a year later, when I want to read it again.
Please share additional comments and suggestions.
Generally speaking, I think you have a value proposition, you just need to use more branding, especially in positioning your brand further from note-taking apps, and add features.
Congratulations!
I would be glad to discuss the issue further with you if you want, you can contact me through StartUpLift.
Do you understand what the site is about just by looking at the home page for about 15 seconds?
Yes, I totally understoond what your site was about. Within 15 seconds I knew your site was about helping people return borrow items through tracking and updates.
Are provided texts clear and understandable for you?
Yes, everything was easy to understand. I like how you expand on what you site is about in three different ways. Example, you start of by saying, “track your things with ease,” then you have a small one liner under that, then you expand with a small paragraph. I must say that was in ingenius. I am really loving your site right now. I appreciate sites that are well written and easy to follow.
What do you think of the sign up process?
Simple, easy and quick.
What do you like and dislike about the service?
Pros: Your service is for the everyday person and that’s what make it wonderful. The need is there and your just giving the people what they want. It’s funny how people sometimes feel to shy to ask for things back and this service allows a person to get there things back with the uncomfortable questioning.
Cons: The only con is making sure everyone you know wants to sign up. That’s not a con about your service but a con to a particular person.
Do you know any other similar services that can be compared to?
Memo To Me is one that I can think right now, but its not an app. They have mobile and e-mail alerts. You just need to show consumers how your better.
Would you sign up for a Pro account with some extra features in the future?
If you produce great extras then everyone will want to sign up. It’s will be nice to have a two -tier level sign up. Some people need more features while others are fine with the basics. I like the word usage “Pro” it already sounds like you gettting more.
How do you remember your rent and borrowed things so far?
I usually remember things by people reminding me or through the occasional note. I must say as a person who is very forgetful this service is sounding more and more for me. It really takes the guess work out and lets people get back to other things.
Please share additional comments and suggestions.
Your site is professional and beautiful. I really like the color usage and the top of the page. I would like to see more color towards the bottom. Maybe you could make the headers of each section one of the ones you used at the top. I like you features awards and what you service can work on. To many times companies offer a great service, you sign up only to find that you can’t use it. I like the web buzz and the international info. That let’s me and others know that you service is well rounded and highly useful. I like the sample pages in the How it works section but it would have nice to have them larger. You can barely see the screen shots. On the top faqs section I would like to seem some faqs featured. A box that allows you to e-mail and or a contact number would have been nice to see. Your smart for offering a free gift. Nice marketing stragety that allow you to expand your consumer reach. It’s also nice that you had variation. All three are quick and convient. Overall, job well done.
Do you understand what the site is about just by looking at the home page for about 15 seconds?
Absolutely – you do a great job of combining good design with clear headlines and copy on the homepage.
Are provided texts clear and understandable for you?
Your website copy is pretty clear, but gets a bit repetitive and redundant after the headlines. Much of the supporting homepage copy is unnecessary, and even confusing. The purpose of a homepage is to create a compelling reason for someone to click further (and ultimately buy or download your product). When there’s too much copy, this can be counter-productive. Also, there seems to be some weird spacing going on (looks justified?) in the “Safety†section.
I understand wanting to implement Facebook likes on your site; however, the new Facebook Social Plugin is, I feel, too large, and even distracting. I prefer a much more subtle like button, with supporting text showing who of your friends also likes the product. That is just my personal preference, though.
What do you think of the sign up process?
Very easy and straightforward – that is such a relief! Lately, it feels like a convoluted signup process is required for every new site – this was very easy, and even kicks back to the login screen automatically. Nice.
What do you like and dislike about the service?
I would like to see some sort of integration with social media, other than an app. Perhaps a way to send reminders to Facebook friends who have borrowed something from you? As much of a behemoth as it is, Facebook integration is almost a necessity now. It is truly the hub for many people’s online experience.
I like that adding “new things†is very simple and straightforward. It’s easy to simply put in my new notes, and not have to move through some sort of system that separates by category or product – this is a very simple interface, and I like it that way!
I also like the simplicity and ease of use for the dashboard. Very straightforward.
Do you know any other similar services that can be compared to?
No, I can’t say that I have. It seems like a no-brainer idea, but I’ve yet to see anything serving this purpose.
Would you sign up for a Pro account with some extra features in the future?
If it provided integration with Facebook, I would highly consider paying.
How do you remember your rent and borrowed things so far?
Please share additional comments and suggestions.
I shared my suggestion above; however, I’d like to add that I think your idea has a great deal of promise. Your interface is very simple, which is a huge positive – it could be an incredibly useful tool. I think that your site design needs a bit more polish, as well as your website copy (I think less is more on the homepage; however, I’d like to see more of an ‘about us’ area about your company, background, and reason for creating the program. I’d also like to see a company blog – a great way to drive more traffic to your site through SEO, and also define your brand while spreading the word. The content on your site is dynamic, but your own content is very static. Implement some blogging to really define yourselves, interact with users, and keep people engaged with your product. Good luck!

Do you understand what the site is about just by looking at the home page for about 15 seconds? Yes. It’ an app for keeping track of things you may have lent or borrowed.
Are provided texts clear and understandable for you? Absolutely. Everything on your landing page is 100% understandable and clear. I appreciate the fact that nothing is left to question. All answers I could possibly need are provided for me on the very first page!
What do you think of the sign up process? The sign up process is very easy. Clear and concise. I signed up in a matter of seconds.
What do you like and dislike about the service? I like the service. I like the fact that I can keep track of the items I have lent or borrowed, but also the person whom I have lent it too. I like the fact that I can check off the item once it has been returned, but it will stay in your repository. That gives me a sort of reference back to the item if needed. I didn’t find anything that I really disliked.
Do you know any other similar services that can be compared to? The only app that comes to mind is “Stick It” which is a post it note type of program on my iPhone. This is what I have presently been using for all my reminders, which I would have used for this type of service.  Your program appears to be a more professional program though.
Would you sign up for a Pro account with some extra features in the future? Yes. I think that I would be very interested in signing up for additional features.
How do you remember your rent and borrowed things so far? Paper and pen, my brain and my Stick It app.
Please share additional comments and suggestions. I am very excited about this app. I can’t wait to pass this on to my friends who are in the construction business. I think this is a great app for them because they are always lending tools to friends and relatives. I will be using this app often and look forward to the Pro account.
I do want to mention that I feel the site is put together very well with the average person in mind. Simple to understand and sign up. Very enticing design and colors.  I like the fact that there is a HELP tab at the top for any time I may need assistance.
Do you understand what the site is about just by looking at the home page for about 15 seconds? Yes, I had no problem understanding the website theme in a matter of seconds.
Are provided texts clear and understandable for you? Yes
What do you think of the sign up process? Simple and more importantly it was marked as “free.”
What do you like and dislike about the service? Would be great for folks who use their mobile phones a lot for organizational matters. Â I utilize a large desk top calendar at home. Â Not a big mobile app user.
Do you know any other similar services that can be compared to? I do not.
Would you sign up for a Pro account with some extra features in the future? No, as I do not utilize my mobile phone apps very much due to the cost associated.
How do you remember your rent and borrowed things so far? I utilize a large desk calendar at home to remember everything that is significant.
Please share additional comments and suggestions. Â Your computer coding needs some help. Â For instance, your meta title tag should not be the name of your company. Â A much better title tag might be something like “Mobile Tracking and Organizational Phone App by Rentoni.com.” Â Search Engine Optimization is huge when it comes to actually being found on the search engines. Â Use of html tags; pertinent keywords; verification tags etc. are very very important. Â Excellent that you are using Facebook.com … free viral marketing is HUGE!
Do you understand what the site is about just by looking at the home page for about 15 seconds?
Yes. Only thing that you need to add is an screenshot/video that explains small story of how rentoni helps to remember lent and borrow things.       Â
Are provided texts clear and understandable for you?
Yes they are clear and understandable.
What do you think of the sign up process?
First thing, your signup and login process links to another domain 123.rentoni.com, which is different from the actual domain. This makes the users feel they are logging or signing in to incorrect domain.
Secondly,
i)Â Â Should have the username check availability.
ii)Â Validate the fields dynamically when entered.
iii) Put more understandable then openID, like (login with Yahoo|Google|Twiiter).
iv)Â Mobile number divide to 2 boxes, (code and number).
v)Â Â Show password strength meter.
vi)Â Put City you live rather than “Timezone”
What do you like and dislike about the service?
Like:
Traking thing through an app is clear, straight and good concept.
The easily understandable text and feel good pages are a plus point to your services.
Dislikes:
You need all the other people to be signed in to this service.
This is not a new idea, and is already implemented.
Do you know any other similar services that can be compared to?
Billmonk is the one I was using for a couple of years.
Would you sign up for a Pro account with some extra features in the future?
I may not opt for Pro Account.
How do you remember your rent and borrowed things so far?
It will be on a mobile, paper and use BillMonk sometimes.
Please share additional comments and suggestions.
rentoni.com should come up with 2 essential things :
i) It should own a mobile app for portability.
ii) Log in should be more easy like login in with (Google|Yahoo)
Do you understand what the site is about just by looking at the home page for about 15 seconds?
It is very easy to understand what the page is about, and how the website works. I must say, I do think that this is a novel idea, and a great way to keep track of your things. The only downfall is that you friends may get angry with you if they are reminded by email to give you your stuff back.
Are provided texts clear and understandable for you?
The provided texts are very clear to me. Just by reading the home page I know exactly how it works and what I need to do to get my stuff back, or give stuff back If I was the one that borrowed it. There is also a video on the home page that explains it even more which is very helpful.
What do you think of the sign up process?
What do you like and dislike about the service?
Do you know any other similar services that can be compared to?
Sign up process is pretty straight forward and asks for basic information. The only part that I did not like about the sign up process is putting in a mobile number, and I have no idea what Openidurl is. I really don’t know of any other website that would ask for that information. Usually just a name, email address, user id and password is enough to sign up.
Would you sign up for a Pro account with some extra features in the future?
Since I really don’t lend out things much, and I definitely do not borrow things a lot, I probably would not sign up for a Pro account. However if that changed, I would look at what the benefits are on a Pro account vs a free account, and then make a decision from there.
How do you remember your rent and borrowed things so far?
If I do lend something to someone, I really have not given a time frame to give it back to me. I just wait till they are done with it, and then they will give it back to me. However if a extreme amount of time has passed, then I will ask them if they are done with whatever I lent them. I have never put a time frame on something that I have lent out.
Please share additional comments and suggestions.
The only suggestion that I have to make this even better is a mobile application. That way you get reminders on your cell phone. This is extremely helpful for those, who do not spend a lot of time on the computer.
Do you understand what the site is about just by looking at the home page for about 15 seconds?
Yes. It is an application that serves as a reminder as well as it keeps track of things borrowed and lent to others.
Are provided texts clear and understandable for you?
I do understand the purpose and goal of this service, however, I think the writing needs some correction as I found some areas that need rewording & spelling correction in order to make sense to the reader. For example, under “Perfect for everyone” heading.
What do you think of the sign up process?
The sign up link was easy to find on the site as well as easy to follow. The “remember me” option needs spelling correction.
What do you like and dislike about the service?
I like that this service is very useful and it can be used by anyone. It is not limited to any one particular group of people. It is very easy to add item and people.
I was a bit confused when I enter a lent item and when Rentoni asks for how long, does that mean a reminder will be sent to the recipient reminding him to return it? Who is the “email 48 hrs before it’s due” feature intended for?
I don’t really like the word “lent” used in this sentence “Rentoni is a web app that helps you and your friends remember lent and borrowed thingsâ€. One could mistake it for the Christian tradition Lent. I think something like this would be more effective: ” “Rentoni, the web app that will help you keep track of the borrowed, the loaned and the returned”…or something like that.
Again, I think rewording is necessary to provoke more interest. For example, instead of “Add thing” you could add different tabs for each action such as add borrowed, add loaned items, add contacts. Just having add thing and add person is too basic and boring and it makes the user wanting more information or seek more actions.
I like the little TV monitor on the homepage with the rotating images of samples, but, I did not like not being able to enlarge the screen to get a closer view at what is being presented. It sort of defeats the purpose of having it there to view.
Do you know any other similar services that can be compared to?
I haven’t seen a specific service used to remind people of things borrowed or loaned. I can only think of calendar reminders and tools in mobile devices that alert a person of something.
Would you sign up for a Pro account with some extra features in the future?
I would sign up depending on its added value vs the price. In other words, if the features and utility are beneficial to me and the price is affordable and if I had the need for it then yes I would sign up. The question is which groups borrow and lend so much that they have to be reminded to either return or ask back for the item.
How do you remember your rent and borrowed things so far?
Rent is hard to forget as it is standard that it’s due at the beginning of each month. I don’t borrow that many things that I need reminders, however, when I do borrow say a library book, or a clothing item from a friend, a dog crate for my traveling trip, etc. I remind myself by just simply putting a sticky note on the fridge or put it on my hotmail calendar and/or put an alert on my phone to remind me on a given date.
Please share additional comments and suggestions.
My last suggestion is to add more navigational sections once logged in and the ability to go back to the homepage. Once I signed up I wanted to know more about how it worked or get additional information and there wasn’t a link to go back to the homepage. It would be a good idea to have the forum tab, news, updates, etc. once logged in.
Â
Do you understand what the site is about just by looking at the home page for about 15 seconds?
Absolutely. The home page has been set up really good. I got to know that Rentoni application is all about tracking things that you have lent and borrowed.
Are provided texts clear and understandable for you?
Yes The texts are all put in a very clear and precise manner. It is easily understandable.
What do you think of the sign up process?
I liked the sign up process except for the fact that the mobile number has been asked. The mobile number option might keep some users away from using the application as they would doubt security measures. Apart from it, every other field looked fine.
What do you like and dislike about the service?
I liked the application because it will help me to keep track of borrowed things.
Do you know any other similar services that can be compared to?
Yes. Mindful is similar to Rentoni.
Would you sign up for a Pro account with some extra features in the future?
Yes I will be signing up for a Pro account because I dont have a remainder application as of now.
How do you remember your rent and borrowed things so far?
I normally feed the deadline dates on my cellphone. But I feel that is risky because once I loose my phone, I loose all information along with it.
Please share additional comments and suggestions.
1. It would be better if the mobile number field was taken out from the sign up process.
2. The web page design can be made more flexible. You could include different themes. Themes could be of sportive look or professional.
Â
Do you understand what the site is about just by looking at the home page for about 15 seconds?
The purple really pops out when you first see the home page so I am drawn to the phrase, “track your things with easeâ€. I also noticed the iphone and android phone helping me to see that it was an application that I could use on my phone. Center front of the page is the statement, “100% free†, which always catches my attention. I think the placement for this box is perfect on the page.Â
Are provided texts clear and understandable for you?
I find this statement a little awkwardly worded. “Rentoni keeps track of your lent and borrowed things related to people you deal with together with deadline dates for you.â€Â  Related to the people you deal with? It seems like you could simply say that Rentoni keeps you in touch with your lenders and borrowers to keep track of your things. I tried to watch the video, but I had no audio and the graphics were too small to see. The television screen with “next†and “previous’ was so small I really could not see what it was trying to show me. It should definitely expand so that it fills your screen if it is a tutorial.Â
Â
What do you think of the sign up process?
The sign up process was user friendly until I got to the time zone. I looked at all the choices and it doesn’t have a choice for the United States. I expected to fine EST. I don’t know what GMT stands for. You may want to add the United States to an option just for clarification. I noticed you have a mountain time.Â
Â
What do you like and dislike about the service?
On the “how it works†tab, I cannot see the screen shots that you have under each direction, they are just too small. In reading the “Terms of Service†I found several mentions of charges and price changes. This makes me a little nervous if it’s a free application. Does this mean that you will be offering my services that require a charge? Will I be solicited once I sign up for this application?
Â
Do you know any other similar services that can be compared to?
I really don’t know of any services like this one. My public library uses email to remind me three days before my due date and I really find it helpful.
Â
Would you sign up for a Pro account with some extra features in the future?
I really don’t borrow or lend a lot of things out. I’m not sure that I would need this type of service even if it were free. I think that teachers, secretaries, and church libraries might find this really useful.
Â
How do you remember your rent and borrowed things so far?
I usually don’t borrow or lend because I have such a bad memory. If I lend, I don’t expect it back. If I borrow I try to give it back within 24 hours or I will forget.
Â
Please share additional comments and suggestions.
I think that you need to market this application to people who might be lending out materials like college professors, music teachers, costume rentals, movie rental stores, etc.  I think it can be a great tool for someone who loans out tools as well, like a contractor or a mechanic.Â
·        Do you understand what the site is about just by looking at the home page for about 15 seconds? This site was very easy to understand and self explanatory. A good marketplace that this site would thrive in would be companys that offered leasing or renting of  business furntiure and equipment. This site would enable these companies keep track of their borrowers and lenders.
