This site is about resumes. Looks like resume support services or resume builder.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

I personally do not need help with my resume at this time. I feel that mine is good and I can get jobs with it.

Select a template and try creating a resume. How easy was the resume creation process? Please share your experience.

I selected template “Blue Wave” The process is very straightforward and easy to navigate and use.

How do you find Resumisimo compared with other sites like “emurse.com”?

I think your site is way more visually appealling than emurse. Emurse looks very plain and not very inviting to get started.

I like the template selection that you offer.

I don’t think you should have the resume templates on your homepage. Your homepage should be reserved for selling points and convincing people to use your service. Choosing a template would be after someone actually decides to use your service and is secondary. By removing the templates on your homepage, you can move up more vital information “above the fold” so people don’t actually have to scroll down to see the more critical items.

I like the background colors on the homepage.

Overall, I think you have a quality site, with no obvious glitches or errors. I think if you tweak your homepage a little, you would improve conversions to sales and improve what visitors see above the fold.

This site is about assisting users with resume’s online in as little as 10 minutes.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

If I needed help with my resume I would consider sign up for a free account. Just from the homepage it looks like your site is simple and easy to use.

Select a template and try creating a resume. How easy was the resume creation process? Please share your experience.

It was very simple to just look through the templates and just pick something. It was just enough templates to have a nice selection but not so mnay that you get overwhemled. I like that I could go back and pick another template in the middle of doing my resume. I would like to have been returned to the page that I left instead of being put on the last completed page. It was disappointing that I lost the content that I typed. I really like the side bar notes and the info received when you scroll over the question marks. For a person who is not familiar with resume building those notes are very helpful.

How do you find Resumisimo compared with other sites like “emurse.com”?

I liked the salary info, the more detailed tips, and that I could easily see where to register and or sign. in. I think that your site has a more inviting feel to it and it seems easier to use.

When I got to the payment page and saw the price I was a little iffy. I like how easy it was to put my resume together but in realily where was the help besides the side notes and the templates. On the other hand I really liked I the resume will be sent in a PDF file so that I can print as many copies as I need and that I could get a black and white copy. It’s nice that you offer an e-book with useful tips and an online business cards. I see that you say and much more but what does that mean? If you are going to offer users much more than you might want to list that because again people who don’t read the read what you get might be turned away. I lke that you offer so many ways of payment.
I like the laid back feel of the site but it still has that professional touch to it. The young lady on the front looks like an everday person and she really looks like your site would be quick and easy to use. I like the shading of color at the start of the page and that you put your quick points in a easily appealing fashion. It’s really nice that you put your templates right out there for quick viewing but because the background is white some of the resume’s look washed out and hard to see. I think that after the how to make a resume section you should add the testimonial and the page should end there with info. I would delete the features because you already state that in the info above. The what can you get section picture looks a little weird and that info is under the key features tab. I like that underlined section at the bottom of the page but I would like to them to be more uniformed to fit the rest of the site. I see that your hiding a little gem at the bottom of the page with the finished resume tab. Alot of times people just need to see samples to get a jump start and that does just that. I would definitly like to see that mentioned at the top of the page somewhere. Plus, some people just like to see what they can really get for there money. Your key features and resume examples tabs are really helpful, nice touch.
I see that you have a login tab at the top of the page but when does one actually create an account. That was a little confusing. Overall your site is visally appealing, a great need for it and helpful. The only thing I would like to see is a section with more in depth tip for building a resume as far what your write (or language) used is concerned.

  3. Visit https://www.resumesimo.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

The site appears to offer a resume builder program to improve one’s resume with.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

I would be interested in using the site with a free account.

Select a template and try creating a resume. How easy was the resume creation process? Please share your experience.

Using Safari on a Mac. Also used Google Chrome on Mac.

I selected the ‘Concern’ template. The scrolling selection on the homepage  allowed a good glimpse at the basic layouts that your resume would take for each template. Clicking on a template in the scroll menu brought me to another page with all the lay-outs displayed, thus having me to select the template again (minor annoyance). After selecting the resume template, I was able to view it and decide if I wanted to use it or not. I went to click on the button to use the temple, though the button disappeared when I scrolled over it (though it still moved me to the next page).

In filling out the basic information, I selected Canada, but was not able to select a province (the menu stayed as states–no provinces were available). I also played around to see what countries I could select. Naturally, all of them were there. Filling out the info was straight forward.

The ‘next’ button at the bottom vanished again when I scrolled over it (same in Google Chrome).

Filling out the work-place information was again straight forward. The ‘save and add another’ button allowed adding my guess and unlimited number of entries. I filled out two. I noted that there was a menu that showed the entries that you already made, with the options of editing the entry, deleting it, or moving it up or down the list.
The next was educational information. Again, straight forward to fill out, but the ‘state-province’ information page again did not have any provinces in it.

The next steps were awards, skills and ‘other’. In skills, there were two entry categories, one ‘skills’ and the other ‘languages’, however the information pop up on both suggested they were both for language skills.

In selecting the skill level for the bottom option (language), it caused a the other to change (though it did not change itself). This was a problem with both Safari and Google Chrome. However, even though the skill level selected didn’t show up in the language section, it did save as I selected.

Finished up with the additional information page and clicked overview on the menu bar on top and previewed my resume. Clicked back, then next step on the bottom and was brought to the menu of having to pay for it. I was expecting something between $14.99-$19.99, and basically got the quote I expected, though it still felt a bit high.

How do you find Resumisimo compared with other sites like “emurse.com”?

Emurse requires registration to use the program, meaning that you provide them your info before you can decide if you really want to use their program. In using Emurse, I found that their program wasn’t as esthetically pleasing. As well, because all the information schedules you have to fill out are on the same page, one after another, it was a bit more overwhelming then Resumisimo. After filling out the information, I was at a lose as to where to find a button to let it know I was finished (it was the small menu at the top).

The one thing I liked that emurse.com had that Resumisimo didn’t have was the ability to choose different templates to see how your finished resume looks on them. I didn’t really like the idea of the site sending my resumes around for me (not sure if that was an option I could turn on or off), or having it saved on the web (personally, I like sending my resumes myself, knowing who I am sending them to).

In regards to the programs, I certainly enjoyed using Resumisimo more than emurse. It was simpler, faster, and, because everything was with a page less distracting and overwhelming then the full page lay-out of emurse. Also, not having to register (only pay) after filling out your resume was nice.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

ISSUES: The question marks beside the info windows provided pop-up advice on what to fill out. The text in the window was a bit small and hard to read.

Having some of the link images disappearing when I scrolled over them was annoying. It happened with both Safari and Chrome.

Not having the price quotes before starting to fill everything out, and finding out that it was going to cost you towards $20 felt a bit deflating. Maybe quoting the price on the home page would be nice.

Non-Issue: In filling out the information, I purposely closed my internet link while moving from one page to the next. This caused the page to fail to load and required me to scroll back. I was glad to see that my information was still there that  had filled out.

Beyond that, the program is nice, clean, with a functional layout. It is easy to use, edit, preview and navigate. The ‘key-features’ page explains nicely what the program offers, though the clock icon should be beside the part where it talks about saving time and the thumbs up should be with the what-you-get option. Having example resumes to look at is a nice feature, especially for people who have difficulty knowing how to create a resume or what information to place on it.

One thing that would be nice would be the ability to view your resume on various templates before purchasing it without having to fill out the information over and over again.

  4. Based on my viewing of the website, Resumesimo appears to offer assistance to individuals seeking to build and or update their resumes. The premise of offering assistance building a resume is a good idea. Strong resumes are necessary for many individuals to land a job. I believe many people struggle developing and wording their resumes in a way that would be most beneficial for them. I believe a portion of these individuals would be willing to pay to have their resumes developed and written by experts.

While the service of writing resumes for people is a good idea, the front webpage initially gave me pause over whether or not the site could be trustworthy. The image of the woman doesn’t seem to convey a message of professionalism. Also, the message that is presented is that the company can create a resume quickly and easily. While this is the goal of the site, the way the message is presented almost gives the impression that it is possible that little effort may be enlisted to create the resume.

In my opinion, the image should feature woman displayed in a more professional pose and the text reworded to present the impression that the company will go to great lengths to ensure high quality service to the customer.

Based on my initial reaction to this website, I would probably pass it up believing that it was a scam.

  5. Visit https://www.resumesimo.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

I think this site is for helping people easily create a resume online that looks professional and eye catching.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

I’m currently not looking for a job so I don’t need a resume, but if I was on the lookout for a new job then I would definitely sign up for a free trial account.

Select a template and try creating a resume. How easy was the resume creation process? Please share your experience.

I started on the home page and clicked “Get Started”. That took me to the resume template page which looked nice and professional. I would have liked to be able to scroll over the templates and a bigger version pop up so I could get a better look at them without actually clicking one and leaving the page.

I clicked on the “Pinkee” template and that took me to another page. From that page the “choose this template” button clearly stood out so I clicked that for the next step.

I filled out all my basic information, work history etc. I found the process very simple and stress free. I could add the information I wanted and leave the fields I thought I didn’t require blank. I really liked that in the last step I could add additional information.

When I went to upload a photo I encountered a problem, “500 Internal Server Error – The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Please try again later.”  I then choose another photo and it did upload and very quickly. I would however have liked to been able to crop my photo on the site rather than having to use another program to crop the photo re save it and then upload it.

I then previewed my resume and everything looked good. I then clicked “order now” and was taken to the payment page. The whole process was simple, straightforward and stress free.

However I then saw the cost and was wondering why this wasn’t stated anywhere earlier on in the process.  I then went back to the homepage and clicked on all the main links on the top navigation bar and I couldn’t find any prices listed on any of those pages at first. I then finally found it on the key features page finally.

How do you find Resumisimo compared with other sites like “emurse.com”?

To start with I think your home page is more modern, professional and eye catching. I find the emurse site to be very cluttered and unappealing.

One thing emurse has that resumisimo doesn’t is the professional networking system. Although I think if you are purely looking to create a good resume then you wouldn’t need that.  However if you are directly trying to compete with this site then you could look at starting something similar.

I do like that on the emurse site you can also search for jobs in your area. This site seems to be like a one stop job shop were you can search for jobs, build a resume and network.

I wasn’t able to find out a price on the emurse site so not too sure how that compares.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I think your name Resumesimo is hard to pronounce and remember. Even though it has the word resume, this doesn’t exactly scream out this site is about resume’s. The word resume gets lost in the word and I’m not exactly sure what it’s supposed to mean.  I think if you are going to stick with this name then you need to have a catch phrase underneath it. Something like “Resumesimo, professional resume’s made easy” or something like that which clearly explains what the name is about. I would also find your web address hard to remember because the name holds no significance to me and isn’t a common word so it’s hard to remember how to spell it.

I think some different pricing plans would be nice. I don’t want to pay for all the add on’s like the e book and black and white resume.  You could have a basic plan which is just the PDF file of your resume and then a more expensive plan with all the add on’s like the online business card and e book. Personally I wouldn’t pay $19.99 for this but I would probably pay $10 – $15 dollars.

I would also like to see the prices more easily visible on a pricing page or home page as I felt like you were trying to hide the price from me.

If I was to pay $19.99 then I would like to have a lot more templates to choose from.

I think your site looks great, fresh, clean and professional. I also found it very easy to navigate and I liked the color scheme.

  6.      Look at site for 10 to 15 seconds

I looked at the site for 15 seconds and I found it gave a fun, relaxed feeling.  It was not cluddered with to much information all at once.  It looks easy to use and the appearance is simple and appealing.

        Would you sign up

I would consider signing up for this if I was looking for a new resume but the cost is a consideration.  There are services through job websites that offer this servie but they have an associate the helps you with the wording ect.

How easy was creating a resume

When I was picking out a templete to create a resume I was a little confused because I couldnt see all the details of the templetes.  The customer should have the ability to see the temples enlarged by scrolling accross them.  This would be a great way of picking what dertails you want or dont want without having to pick, selcet and then go back if you do not like it.

       Creating a resume

Creating the resume was very easy.  The instructions were very understandable and I like the large font.  I was not afraid of putting the wrong information in the wrong spot.  Very good layout.

       Compared with Emruse

I went on Emruse to compare the websites.  Both have the same goal with the same basic functions but I found Resumesimo to be more appealing and user friendly.  Your first impression of a website is so important. If I was looking for this service I would definately go with Resumesimo.

       Additional comments

I enjoyed making the resume with Resumesimo but (maybe I was doing something wrong) I couldnt view the the finished product until I went through the payment process.  I really like the fonts being as large and clear as they are.  It give the websit a clean – open-relaxed feeling.  The only thing I would hasitate in is the price.  Maybe if there was a deal if you buy 1 get a second hallf off or somthing like that.  Overall I think its a good website.

  7. Visit https://www.resumesimo.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
Its a site where you can create your resume from templates.
Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
That’s a tricky question since the site seems to have nothing such. Without knowing what would that include  I cannot decide, but in general I would be interested.
Select a template and try creating a resume. How easy was the resume creation process? Please share your experience.
Choosing a template is easy, after which filling the data is quite straightforward. The tip box on the side actually gives some useful information, and the small “?” buttons give a good description of each field. I would say that it’s hard to go wrong here.
I had a minor concern though on the basic info page, where choosing any other country than the USA leaves you with the only option of “non-US state or province”. I seriously hope that setting this field to that removes it from the resume and won’t display it. Same goes for school, etc. locations. (I’m only saying this cause I’ve seen sites that displayed it). The site could also auto-fill location from IP.
Another minor issue is that in the skill drop-down menus, you cannot choose the topmost item and leaving it on “please…” gets it set to poor (because “Please choose…” equals the “poor” option). You have to choose another first if you want to choose poor, which might confuse some people..
My only major problem with the creation process is that you only ever get told how much this will cost at the very end. Also the price is higher than I expected (I though it would be about $10-15). I understand that you think that maybe some people will think that now that they’ve filled the whole thing they won’t just close the site – even if they expected a lower price – but you should also consider how heavily this practice impacts your trustworthiness.
How do you find Resumisimo compared with other sites like “emurse.com”?
Your site has a more up to date look and seems a lot more accessible, but emurse in turn looks more professional.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I think that the site should show the cost somewhere on the main page. $19.95 is not such an outrageous price to make you hide it at the bottom of the key features page. However I understand that probably fewer people would start creating resumes, but I doubt you would get fewer purchases.
The “jumping woman” photography has a very serious stock photo feel to it (probably because it is) which gives a bad overall impression considering how this photo type is mostly used in combination with flying dollars on various scam sites. And that’s about the last impression you want to make on a site that asks for lots of personal information.
And if we are at personal information, I think you should emphasize the Privacy Policy a bit more.
    Some small issues:
On the mineral template thumbnail the name is the “usual” Daniel Gordon, but on the template itself it’s Gordon Freeman. I’m not sure if that’s a reference though, but at least he has no crowbar skill listed. Anyway, in the footer it still says Daniel Gordon.
I personally feel that you overused the Art director, Web designer and Creative titles in templates, especially considering that these are the people who are less likely to want to make a resume from a template as it’s already part of their portfolio.

  8. Q. Visit https://www.resumesimo.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? A. Making noticeable resumes so that one may stand out while applying for a job.

    Q. Select a template and try creating a resume. How easy was the resume creation process? Please share your experience. A. The creation process was simple and easy to follow.
    Q. How do you find Resumisimo compared with other sites like “emurse.com”? A. Site quality is the same to me. They both do what they are supposed to and they are user friendly. They are both visually appealing.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have. A. I LOVED your little video at the beginning! =D it was very entertaining!

  9. What do you think the site is about?
This site is intended for the quick and easy creation of resumes. It allows customers to choose a format for their resume and enter their information, and automatically creates a completed document.
Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
Yes, I would. Free is always good, even if it is just a trial. If I ended up really finding Resumisimo useful, I would probably consider paying for the service. I find myself submitting my resume several times a month for different employment positions, and the information on my resume changes often. I don’t feel like going through and editing everything myself.
Select a template and try creating a resume. How easy was the resume creation process? Please share your experience.
I chose the “Flower” template for my resume. I liked the format of the pages when filling out the questions for my resume. I found the entering information part to be pretty easy. The suggestions box on the side was also a nice touch, because some people may have trouble deciding what to include in certain sections. Unfortunately, when the “Payment” page came up, it took quite awhile for all of the words and pictures on the page to become un-jumbled. I almost left the page, thinking that it was frozen. Eventually, everything ended up falling into the right place, though.
How do you find Resumisimo compared with other sites like “emurse.com”?
Resumisimo is similar to Emurse, in that it is used to create resumes efficiently. However, I preferred Resumisimo because of the fact that you do not have to register for an account. I do not like when I’ve got to register for accounts on sites when I just want to accomplish a simple task. I also feel that emurse’s website lacks the interesting design that Resumisimo has. It’s just kind of boring and bland on emurse.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I really think Resumisimo is a great resource for building a quality resume that will definitely stand out to employers. I like the variety in template choices, it’s not just all standard and boring. The “Overview” button allowed me to see a preview of my resume, so I would know what it would look like if I actually were paying for it.
I just wish the site had been a little quicker on loading pages. Going from one page to the next was a little slow, and loading seemed to drag on a little longer than it should

  10. What do you think the site is about?
The site is all about creating effective resume. This site will help people to create dynamic resume.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
Yes, I would sign up. I am not so good in creating resume. This site will help me to build a resume that will look so attractive to the employer.
Select a template and try creating a resume. How easy was the resume creation process? Please share your experience.
Creating resume in this site is very easy.It is just like filling the form like bio data. It is good for those who is not knowledgeable in using computer. It is better than creating resume in word processing software.

Compared with other sites like “emurse.com”?Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Resumesimo.com is much easier to use then Emurse.com. The templates are simple and yet very professional in format.
