  1. From the content of the home page, do you know what Rezgo is and who it is for?
I think so.  It’s an online booking system for businesses that need a way to book events, tours, and other activities.

How much does Rezgo cost? Was it easy to find this information?
Rezgo charges a “5% transaction fee for web bookings” and a “1% transaction fee for point-of-sale bookings.”  For large businesses that generate more than $10,000 a month in online bookings, you would negotiate a reduced rate.  (Is this in Canadian or US dollar, btw?  I noticed that you’re a Canadian site.)  I found this info by clicking on the Pricing tab on the homepage.  It was very easy to find.  I also liked that you started off this page by laying out all the advantages to using Rezgo–no set-up fees, no pricing plans, etc.  My only question, though, is how this system is really…well…fair.  Basically, what I think I’m hearing is that if I happen to offer an event that costs a lot, I have to pay more to use your service than if the event I host is cheaper.  That almost seems…discriminatory.

How do you integrate Rezgo with your website? Is this information clear and understandable?
To find out the answer to this question, I went to the Features tab on the homepage and chose Website Integration from the drop-down menu.  (By the way, some of pages listed under Features might be more appropriate elsewhere.  For instance, Featured Members should probably be under About, and Sign-up Now should be its own tab.)  Anyway, the way I understand it is that Rezgo is a white label, cloud-based service, and it offers three ways to integrate with websites:  1) The Rezgo server can host the booking engine, which a webmaster can modify to match the look and feel of his/her own site, and then each site links directly to the Rezgo booking engine. 2) A webmaster can install Rezgo PHP files on his/her own site. 3) This is the only option that I can’t totally fathom, but that’s just because I’m not a coder or graphic designer.  If I was, I’m sure it would make sense.  What I do understand is that you’re saying this is the best option for a site that wants to really adapt Rezgo to their service in a way that goes beyond what you can do with white label software.  To do this, developers would connect directly to the XML API.

Please take a moment to complete the sign-up process. How easy was the sign-up process?
I clicked on the sign-up button that seemed to be available on the right of every page.  I liked that it was accessible from every page so that I could register at any point in the pitch process that I became “convinced.”  I went through the two-step sign-up procedure and had no problems.

You should have received two emails from Rezgo. How useful/relevant were these emails?
The first email was entitled “Welcome to Rezgo & Some Important Resources.”  I really like that you used this email to provide information about customer support and tutorials.  However, I hope you include this info on the site, too.  Not everyone will take the time to read through an introductory email.  In particular, I noticed that you advised new members to make some test bookings and cancel them to avoid being charged.  You really need to state this very clearly somewhere on your website!  Imagine if someone didn’t happen to read that email thoroughly?  The second email arrived some time after and contained my login info plus a rundown of the links mentioned in the first email.  Easy to understand.

If you have seen websites that offer similar services to Rezgo, how would rate the Rezgo website as it compares to these other services?
I have not seen other such websites.  It would’ve been nice if you had listed some of your competitors to refer to.  I did a quick search for “online booking service.”  The first result (Easy Booking Service) seemed geared to hotels.  The second result (Genbook) offered more generalized booking for any kind of business.  The layout of the site was very well done, but its pricing structure was different than yours–they used monthly pricing plans.  The third result (Webervations) was also aimed at the hospitality industry.  The fourth result (Secure Booking Service) had a terribly cluttered homepage.  It was European site and seemed to be selling software, which is a very different approach from yours.  So, after a brief search, I was unable to find another site that does exactly what you do.

I know you didn’t ask for other feedback, but I figured I’d give you some anyway.  When I landed on the homepage, the first thing I noticed was a pop-up about leaving feedback.  This actually delayed loading of the homepage.  I’d remove this if I were you because it’s not really the right place for it.  It needs to be on a comment page.  Second, I’m not crazy about your tagline, “powerfully simple.”  It doesn’t explain to me what your service is.  “Powerfully simple reservations” or something like that would be better.  Otherwise, I like your homepage.  The design is simple, the visual is good, the tabs across the top are self-explanatory.  Although I’m not sure everyone will scroll down to see each of your features listed individually, that’s ok because you provide other ways to access that info–through the tabs and the clearly marked Features link in the center above the fold.

Your various pages under Features are well written and convincing.  You have an exhaustive list of features and do a good job of reaching your market by explaining exactly who Rezgo is for.  However, I would’ve liked to see some kind of benefits page that more simply argues for why I should use Rezgo.  I’m thinking here of a list of advantages such as: easy set-up, get instant payments, pay as you go, etc.

Your Support section is impressive!  I like how the articles are divided into recognizable categories, and each article contains step-by-step instructions, screenshots, and embedded videos where appropriate.  I have a few suggestions, though.  First, I noticed there’s no link back the your homepage from Support.  A minor annoyance, but it’s still an annoyance.  Second, I’d make FAQs the very first article category.  It’s often the first thing visitors look at.  Third, your intro email told me that you have a customer forum and a YouTube tutorial channel.  You should have prominent links to these on your main Support page.

No problems with the blog.  That looks good.  Wouldn’t mind the ability to search for older posts, but it’s not a necessity.

Your About pages are also very nicely done, and your focus on business ethics and social responsibility is a breath of fresh air.

In conclusion, I think you have a very nice site overall, and it seems almost ready to go.  Good job!

  2. Feedback sought:

Visit https://www.rezgo.com. From the content of the home page, do you know what Rezgo is and who it is for?

Yes. It seems readily apparent that Rezgo is an online application automated process that is created to help businesses online to implement simple reservation booking services for their customers. It looks like it could cater both to large commercial businesses online as well as small businesses who don’t have the technical know-how to build an automated reservation/payment process into their website.

How much does Rezgo cost? Was it easy to find this information?

We charge a 5% transaction fee on bookings that are made through your booking website OR a 1% transaction fee on bookings that you or your staff users make through the back-end. This was very simple to find— obviously intuitive as PRICING is set up on the top banner menu in caps. Clicking on pricing led to a well-laid out page with information on how much Rezgo services would cost. The transaction based fees are MUCH more attractive than a subscription, either monthly or yearly fee, and the percentages taken as a fee seem very reasonable to me.

How do you integrate Rezgo with your website? Is this information clear and understandable?

You can integrate Rezgo with your website through the web embedding process. You have the option of utilizing pre-designed templates or completely customizing your website using the template manager— from my impression from the features descriptions, it seems very simple to utilize and user-friendly. Almost akin to a Microsoft Publisher template, except specified for reservation and booking services. From the website integration and features tabs featured on the right side column, I was able to explore methods in which to make Rezgo intregrated with the website. This was pretty clear and understandable, but I would have loved to have seen a link to an already existing and constructed website that utilizes Rezgo, so I could have the opportunity to test out and easily see what the service looks like.

Please take a moment to complete the sign-up process. How easy was the sign-up process?

Completing the sign up process was very simple. I created a fictional company name for the sake of the exercise, entered all the other requisite information and completed the 3 pages (two data entry, 1 final success confirmation) that followed. The whole process took me all of one minute perhaps.

You should have received two emails from Rezgo. How useful/relevant were these emails?

The email confirmations took a really long time to arrive. Longer than I am accustomed to waiting for. This might be an issue, as people are generally very busy and don’t like having to dedicate another time frame in order to finish what they originally set out to do.
I like the tutorial video option… I clicked on that and found it very helpful. Kudos on adding that. That was very useful and obviously very relevant to your service.
I would suggest adding a nice graphic to the email blast… It seems a little bit too simple with just html, but not necessarily that bad. But any opportunity to embed your logo graphically into your users’ minds is something positive.

If you have seen websites that offer similar services to Rezgo, how would rate the Rezgo website as it compares to these other services?

So I’ve analyzed the website https://www.supersaas.com/ and I really do like the clean and simple nature of their website. Not to say that your website is not clean and well designed (trust me, it is)… however, comparatively, https://www.supersaas.com/ seems to fit in their information on their home page in less space than your site based on their design theme and font sizes. If you could alter the design and perhaps shift some content around in your homepage, it would be far more attractive and simple looking for potential customers purveying your services. This should be important to you, as you are providing a ‘booking/reservation service’ similar to the embedded software in expedia/travelocity/kayak etc, and so the more simple and user-friendly your service seems, the more likely people are going to use it.
Also, https://www.supersaas.com/ utilizes a nice infographic table that lays out their pricing scheme VERY easily for the potential user. If you guys could implement a graphical explanation, I think that would attract user’s undivided attention and understanding a lot more. Even though your pricing system is pretty easy to understand, it took a lot more READING than https://www.supersaas.com/ has on their site. Remember, people are visual, and tend to like the simplicity that a graphic/infographic provides, rather than paragraphs of text.

Lastly, some notes on your site in general that I think could improve the whole user experience…
-Overall, the design, color, logo, and font scheme of the website is very attractive and professional. I think you built a good website overall from a visual perspective aside from some major points I will cover below. HOWEVER, technically, I found that the website moves quite slowly. I don’t have this problem on any other websites, but rezgo was moving especially sluggish, taking around 10 seconds for a page to load. Any other websites I was using would open in less than one second, as a benchmark comparison.
    – It took about 10 minutes for the email confirmation to arrive in my inbox. That is far too long for someone to have to wait after signing up for a fledgling service and to remain committed to signing up and utilizing it. If it arrived instantaneously, I would have immediately logged in on the confirmation page with my information and started building a profile.
    – Please condense the homepage information. There is WAY TOO MUCH content that is makes it hopelessly distracting. I suggest that you move the ABOUT US section and testimonials into another link in the main banner. That seems like extraneous information that makes your homepage so cluttered in comparison to websites like https://www.supersaas.com/ Being simple, clean, and user-friendly is the best way to build someones interest and loyalty to your product/site.
    – Make the font/text smaller in the bottom footer. The recent posts, archives, contact, etc. All that takes WAY TOO MUCH SPACE. You can easily make the font smaller and still be legible for the public. Right now it just adds to the whole overwhelming experience that is the homepage. Graphically in UE this is a no-no. I recommend making the footer smaller by at least 1/2 an inch.
    – After finishing registration and on the 3rd page of the confirmation/log in, the Rezgo logo on the top left hand corner of the website is NOT click-able. Please make this so that it links back to the main page. It is rather annoying to have to retype the website name or have to press the ‘back’ button on the browser 3 times in order to return to the homepage. This function is working on all the other pages, but does not function on the end step of the registration process.

  3. Sorry!  A few more little details for your Support page: First, I finally noticed that you do have a link to your support forum in the right column.  I would make that a tab at the top of your main Support page because it gets lost in the sidebar.  Second, I’d get rid of that Sign-up Now button.  If users are at the Support page, they’ve already signed up, so this is just a waste of space.  I’d also rearrange your sidebar so that your forum link is right up under the invitation to contact you.  After that, you should have Search Articles, Browse By Category, Popular Articles, and Browse By Tag in succession.

  4. Visit https://www.rezgo.com. From the content of the home page, do you know what Rezgo is and who it is for?

Rezgo is web-based tour operator software, activity booking engine, and event registration

How much does Rezgo cost? Was it easy to find this information?

Rezgo has a 5% transaction fee for web bookings and 1% transaction fee for point-of-sale bookings.  Found it on pricing page.  Please see actionable suggestion #1 about this.

How do you integrate Rezgo with your website? Is this information clear and understandable?

How to Integrate Rezgo is found under features>Website integration.  Is it clear and understandable?  I guess.  I am not a website programmer, so I don’t know the intricacies.  It sounds simple enough.

Please take a moment to complete the sign-up process. How easy was the sign-up process?

    Straightforward. Yes.

You should have received two emails from Rezgo. How useful/relevant were these emails?

Email 1: Welcome to Rezgo and Resources
    Email 2: ???

If you have seen websites that offer similar services to Rezgo, how would rate the Rezgo website as it compares to these other services?

    Actionable suggestions:
    1) Your pricing is variable depending on the total amount spent.  To a potential client, how would they have any idea what the cost would be?  I think you should consider having a flat rate so a client could have some idea of what they would spend using your services.
    2) Why are your selling points on your pricing page and not on your homepage?  Too much detailed info on your homepage.  You need to be concise about who you are and why you are the best.  This includes your selling points that are on your pricing page.  Honestly, if you don’t make the sale at your first page, they will never see your selling points on your pricing page (about the no upfront costs or fees)
    3) The Pop up survey box on your homepage is annoying.  The one that asks me if I was able to find what I was looking for.
    4) There is way too many detailed paragraphs on your homepage.  Information overload!  If you want sub-sentences describing topics, maybe 1-2.  You have successfully overloaded the visitor with information that they will not wade through.  You can actually turn away a prospective client by doing this.  You need all of your selling points and critical information above the fold before you have to scroll down on the page.  Everything else needs to be moved to another page.
    5) The twitter feed directly below your homepage pic is not anything that will sell your brand.  This could be a the bottom of your homepage, but it not adding value at its current location.  Remember, this is critical screen space reserved for selling your brand!
    6) Who are We?  on the homepage should not be there.  It should be on a tab reserved to tell “about us”  Not appropriate for homepage.
    7) Testimony scroller is good on the homepage, but I think it is underneath the information overload and may not get seen if a visitor is turned off and leaves before scrolling down.
    8. Your motto, “Powerfully Simple” should be below your name Rezgo, unless your brand name is “Powerfully Simple Rezgo”  It is confusing at current location.
    9. I don’t understand why the “you” bubble on the map is at the current location.  Are you only doing business in that country?  I am in the U.S., so I don’t know why you are saying I am in (Italy) Europe on the map.

  5. Wow, thank you for your comments.  It’s wonderful to get such a detailed and thoughtful response.  I think you are right that the KISSInsights popup may be slowing down the page, the other responses seem to point to this too.  We’ll definitely remove it.  I like your suggestion about the “test booking” note.  I think that may be something we add to the “Thank you for signing up” page once you’ve completed sign-up.  I’ll take some time to go through your response in detail and I appreciate your thoroughness.

  6. Thanks for the feedback.  I’m definitely getting the message that the home page has too much information on it.  I appreciate your comparison with SuperSaaS, I will take a look at the site in more detail and see if what we can do to speed up the site.  Also, I will follow up with Dev to see why the email is so delayed.

  7. Some great feedback.  So as not to unduly affect additional feedback, I’ll summarize after all the comments are in.  Thank you for your thoughtful response, this is immensely helpful.

  8. No problem!
Also, this may sound somewhat finicky.. but “Who are we?” sounds much weaker in identity and conveys a feeling of ambivalence as opposed “WHO WE ARE.” This is coming from an analytical language perspective. The phrase “Who We Are”, which is more commonly used, evokes confidence and certainty in function.
    🙂

  9. Not finicky at all, that is great feedback.  I wouldn’t have thought about it.  I think you’re right though, it does sound better. 🙂

  10. I liked your feedback about the map.  We changed it to remove the “You” since it seems to imply that it is an actual position.  I replaced it with “Your customers are looking for you.” and adjusted the content at the bottom of the graphic.  I think it makes more sense.

  11. 1. Visit https://www.rezgo.com. From the content of the home page, do you know what Rezgo is and who it is for?

Yes, it is very clear that Rezgo is system for integrating books for tours, events, etc. into your website.  I’d like to take a moment to critique the home page, however, since there are a few things that detracted me from your product.

    Color Scheme/Graphics

I’m a freelance graphic designer, and while the clean simplicity of the home page was attractive, there was a distinct lack of colour in the top portion of the page.  I saw only orange and grey in the top portion, but dashes of blue and green in the selling points below.  It would be nice to see the text on the rollover features/sign-up buttons to start green and then highlight orange on hover, or otherwise add the blue and green accent colors in a position closer to the header.

I’m also bothered by the large graphic with push pins on a map.  This doesn’t do much to describe what Rezgo offers.  I would rather see a visual cycle representing how Rezgo works (see very rough example below) or something else more descriptive.

Customer books on your website —–> Rezgo receives booking and collects payment —-> You collect payment and manage the customer relationship

This is probably not accurate, as I do not yet have a complete understanding of how Rezgo works, but the intent will be the same.

    Layout

I actually clicked the features link and only noticed later that many features were listed on the home page.  It’s a general rule that as little clutter as possible should be included on the home page.  I would try to move this information to the features page and replace them with two blocks – perhaps move your “What Members Say” into one block and your recent tweets in the other (or better yet, example sites to help sell your product).  The “Who We Are” block should be moved to another page, as suggested by other reviewers.

    2. How much does Rezgo cost? Was it easy to find this information?

Rezgo charges a 5% fee for web transactions, 1% for others.  The pricing page itself was easy to find, but I was expecting to see a large block saying $29.95/mo or something similar.  Instead, the fees are in small writing further down the page.  I think it would be a service to your prospective customers to put that information first, and in a larger font, more like the “Sign Up Now” block.  For example, you could have:

    Sign Up Now
    Only 5% per booking
—-(in smaller writing) 1% for point of sale bookings
    No set upfee
    No monthly fee
    No subscriptions
    No contracts

I do like the fact that this: “Note: The Rezgo transaction fee does not include payment transaction fees. Rezgo does not collect or process payments on your behalf. To accept credit card payments, you must use Paypal or one of the many supported on-line payment gateways.” was displayed in large, highlighted print.  This is something I would normally expect to see in fine print, so it makes me trust your brand a lot more.

Also, the “Connect with Us” and search blocks, to me, interfere with the purchasing process.  Also, the selling points below the pricing belong on the feature page and you could just include a “Learn more about the benefits of Rezgo” button instead, to make this page a real selling point rather than confusing the potential customer with too much information.

    3. How do you integrate Rezgo with your website? Is this information clear and understandable?

I’ve been designing websites for a long time, but the term “White Label” wasn’t clear to me immediately.  After reading the text, I think it would be more easily understood if stated “Hosted by Rezgo”, “Shared Integration” and “Hosted on Your Server” respectively, or something along those lines.  Most of the terminiology on this page, I think, will not appeal to general business owners who are not also web developers.

I have seen some sites that now have separate sections for merchants and developers.  You could easily separate the different methods into three rows and two columns.  Under the merchant column, you would describe in laymens terms how the integration worked, then save any technical jargon for the developer side.

    4. Please take a moment to complete the sign-up process. How easy was the sign-up process?

I think some improvements could be made with the sign-up process.  First, the text box where I enter my company name wasn’t aligned with the other fields. I accidentally skipped that box and entered the other information before hitting the submit button.  Instead of the page automatically scrolling back up, the button just had no reaction after I clicked it.  I eventually did figure out to scroll back up and saw the error I had made.  The script should do this for me.  Just another minor thing with this page – on most forms these days I have to enter my email address twice to make sure the correct one is entered.  It’s a nice preventative measure against users entering the wrong address, and I’d like to see it implemented here.

Also, the Rezgo logo is not clickable back to the home page after I complete the sign-up process.  This is a customary option on most websites and I had to search a bit to find the home link.

    5. You should have received two emails from Rezgo. How useful/relevant were these emails?

I only received one e-mail which contained relevant information on how to log in to my account.  It also contained useful links to help get me started, which I did like. What other email was I supposed to receive?

    6. If you have seen websites that offer similar services to Rezgo, how would rate the Rezgo website as it compares to these other services?

Actually, I just did a review on CheckFront, which also allows integration of booking management as well. It’s a bit difficult to compare the services, however, because they are quite differently structured.  On the whole, I found CheckFront a little easier to use for less technically experienced people.  This is probably due to the dashboard interface of the booking management system.  When I got to Rezgo’s I was a little confused about “what to do next”.  The setup wizard was nice, but there was no prompt after that to set up integration of Rezgo into my website or any kind of getting started video. The interface may be easy once I’m used to it, but without any kind of guide, I immediately feel a bit overwhelmed.

The blog is nicely done and the support system looks incredibly organized and easy to use. I do have a question, however.. why is the support forum called “support” in the header, but knowledgebase in the footer?

Finally – from a design perspective – I noticed that the layout and background colors change from section to section of the site (Home/Support/GetSatisfaction/Dashboard), perhaps a little could be done to streamline the layout, color choices throughout these pages.

Overall, I had the impression that Rezgo is a powerful and professional company perhaps needing just a few tweaks to improve its user interface.

  12. Visit https://www.rezgo.com. From the content of the home page, do you know what Rezgo is and who it is for?
It seems that your site gives people with a website the ability to do bookings, payments and tracking. It seems like you website allows people to focus more on the “product” without the hassle of the logistics.
How much does Rezgo cost? Was it easy to find this information?
Yes it was very easy to find this information with you easy to view tab at the top of the page. You have no: contracts, monthly fees, subscriptions and set-up fees. Your pricing includes a 5% transaction fee for web bookings and a 1% transaction fee for point of sale booking that are only for accepted bookings. Your site also features a discount for high volume sellers. I really like that you don’t charge for cancellations and don’t have minimums for the company. Life happens and its nice to a company that realizes that.
How do you integrate Rezgo with your website? Is this information clear and understandable?
Again with your tabs it was quit easy to find this information. You can intergrate Rezgo in three different ways. First would be the white label through co-branding. Second would be open source which allows a person to fully intergrate into there own website with more sophisticated workings. Third is XML with gives a company the highest level of control and intergration by allowing a company to apply their own look and design. All of your information was well written. I must say that the info I typed doesn’t do it justice but was just text to assure you I understood how your integration works.
Please take a moment to complete the sign-up process. How easy was the sign-up process?
    Quick, easy and fast.
You should have received two emails from Rezgo. How useful/relevant were these emails?
I received the two emails within minutes of completing registration. I would like to have chosen my own password. The second email seemed to be a little to long. It was like you were trying to sell me on signing up to your site. It’s nice to see a little more back ground information about a company it make people feel more secure.
If you have seen websites that offer similar services to Rezgo, how would rate the Rezgo website as it compares to these other services?
I looked at the company webreserv an online booking system and I have to say that your site was much more visually appealing. They had a monthly service plan and there site did not feature much of the security features your site does. I also see that you have a featured members list but I was wondering if you could add a quick search tab. The other site has one and I would find it quit useful as your business grows. I also wondered with the expansion of the featured members list grows will their profile pictures get smaller. The other site has numerous business features so their profile picture? were very small in comparion to yours. Visually their site does not compare to yours. Your site features nice bold colors and has an overall more professional appeal. I like that you feature a much larger font than most sites. It made it much easier to read being that you go into detail explaing what your company offers and what you do.

I really like that you feature tabs but I think that the about tab should be placed before the blog  tab. Also when you scroll onto a tab a little text of what your reading pops up and somewhat over shadows the text below. Furthermore when the adjacent box of options comes out maybe it should sit further out because it looks like the text is running together because of the color. It seems to be no defined separation as to what your looking at in comparison to the information next to it. Also when I tried to click on some of the featured members pages they never loaded. That could be a real problem for some company and customer viewers. Overall you have a great site that looks professional and secure.

  13. 1. Visit https://www.rezgo.com. From the content of the home page, do you know what Rezgo is and who it is for?

Yes, Rezgo is targeted at businesses who sell tours, activities, events, and attractions.  It gives them tools to allow users to book these events online.

    2. How much does Rezgo cost? Was it easy to find this information?

Rezgo charges a 5% transaction fee for web bookings and a 1% fee for POS bookings.  Yes, it was very easy to find this information.  The pricing nav menu item is clearly placed at the top of the page.  Rezgo also offers volume discounts for businesses that receive over $10K per month in online bookings.

    3. How do you integrate Rezgo with your website? Is this information clear and understandable?

There are three ways to integrate Rezgo with your website.  The first way is what Rezgo calls “White label booking engine”.  This is simply a hosted solution in which Rezgo hosts the booking portion for the customer.  The second way to integrate Rezgo is what they call a “PHP parser”.  This allows customers to host the booking engine on their own site, and interact with Rezgo’s engine via APIs.  The third way is the Rezgo “XML API” (which is also used by the PHP parser) that allows advanced users to connect to the Rezgo booking engine using XML.

I found the integration information to be clear and understandable.  I am a web developer and am familiar with PHP, so this helped when evaluating this portion of the service.  Although I was able to easily figure out where to go to get this information, it did seem a bit hidden in the Features menu.

    4. Please take a moment to complete the sign-up process. How easy was the sign-up process?

The sign-up process was fairly easy.  I feel that perhaps it was a bit long.  In my opinion, you want to allow users to start using your site right away.  Perhaps asking for the address information after the sign-up is complete would shorten the process and get your users using the service a bit quicker.  I was also thrown off a bit by the domain part.  It asked me to create a domain right there and told me I could not change it (although it did try to assuage my concerns by explaining that you can create more domains later).

    5. You should have received two emails from Rezgo. How useful/relevant were these emails?

The two e-mails I received after signing up seemed to be very relevant.  They offered tips on getting started and also login instructions. I thought the warning about Test bookings was relevant as well, if not a bit confusing.  It seems odd that if I created test bookings, but nothing was every booked through them, that I would be charged based on your pricing model.

    6. If you have seen websites that offer similar services to Rezgo, how would rate the Rezgo website as it compares to these other services?

I have never seen any websites that offer similar services to Rezgo.

I also wanted to let you know that the font for the main text of the site was difficult for me to read.  It seems to lack a certain sharpness / crispness.  May I suggest something other than Myriad Pro such as Georgia or Helvetica.

  14. Visit https://www.rezgo.com. From the content of the home page, do you know what Rezgo is and who it is for?

Yes I do know what Rezgo is for. It allows the addition of a booking engine into our websites. Who it is for? For us and our websites. Or you meant the organisation? Then it is Sentias Software Corp. I think puttin the “Who are we?” box at the bottom is not a good idea. It should be at the top in a left sidebar maybe? Because you want people to know who you are, so that they can reference to it later on.

How much does Rezgo cost? Was it easy to find this information?

The tabs “Pricing” is very easy to find. 5% transaction fee for web bookings or 1% transaction fee for point-of-sales bookings. Whoever if the business “receives over $10,000 per month in online bookings”, the price can negotiated for a cheaper one.

How do you integrate Rezgo with your website? Is this information clear and understandable?

I must admit, it was really hard for me to find how to integrate Rezgo into my website. But I finally did underneath the features tab !

From what I understand, you can integrate Rezgo from three different ways.

1.White Label Booking Engine – Which allows you to alter the templates provided by Rezgo, to match your website.

2.Open Source PHP Parser – Same as White Label Booking Engine but with more flexibility and freedom

3.Rezgo XML API – Separates the website into three layers, which enable the user to format each of them individually, thus rendering the website more capable on different platforms.

Some of the words used are a bit technical, specially the last two. But I’m sure that if you decide to use them, you will need to understand at least this much, so it’s fine.

I would also like a video as tutorials instead of an image, or a slideshow? to make it simpler and more understandable.

Please take a moment to complete the sign-up process. How easy was the sign-up process?

Nice “terms of use”, it is not overwhelming with writing and is clear and concise.

The steps were easy to follow and what to fill in the blanks in was straight forward and simple.

You should have received two emails from Rezgo. How useful/relevant were these emails?

I received only one email. The Welcoming one. I also tried to log in but no password were given to me? I had to click on the “Forgot your password?” link in order for the system to send me my password by email.
Furthermore, I believe the first time I signed up, I mistyped my email address… As such, I waited one whole day to get the email… It would be nice to provide a verification for the email or confirmation. Verifying for an existing email is not hard. Or you could request a confirmation field to be filled up, so that there is less errors.
I believe that the “Welcoming” email is way too long and is packed with too much information. Furthermore you provided an attachment, that I fail to see the purpose of. People usually just want a “Welcome” and/or “Thank you for signing up” email, not more. They feel safe after those emails, so that they know they will receive updates from the website. As soon as they receive their email, they want to log into the website and try stuff on their own. You could include an introduction page on the first log in. It would be better than sending it in the welcome email. The set-up steps are nice though ! The main page after setting up the account is a bit confusing, a tutorial or introduction video would be nice there.
I must admit though, that your emails were promp and quick, which is always nice.
If you have seen websites that offer similar services to Rezgo, how would rate the Rezgo website as it compares to these other services?
    Comparing you website with https://www.webvantage.com.au/
1.Webvantage as a more catchy line that will attract the users more. That is the line that says “A new digital world is at hand, and we can get you on the map”, who wouldn’t want to read more? Compared to your website that only state what you do, but does not really attract attention. The difference is that Webvantage make me want to look more into their website despite the fact that I’m not looking online booking, yours does not create that interest and curiosity.
2.The top of your website is awesome, simple and clear. In Webvantage the text boxes are too clumsy and stacked randomly like in a game of tetris. Even the bottom of your page is better aligned and makes it neater, the con is that you provided too much information. Try to keep a maximum of 2 lines for each of the points you are making.
3.WebVantage provides more functionality such as creating a new website, but that might not be essential for you and you might want to focus on one aspect only. Online security might be an important one you want to talk about.
4.I like the drop down menu “I need…” on the website WebVantage. Yours does not have quick and fast ways to go to important links. Only ones are features and sign-up, try implementing a search engine maybe? or a FAQ section. You do have those, they are just not easily seen, you should have a link to both of them on your homepage.
5.Remove the browse by Tags, or hide it, it looks like spam.
6.Featured Articles and Laatest Articles should not have more than 5 posts, so that it does not look too overloaded.
7.The Home button on some pages does not work. I am on the https://support.rezgo.com/ page. I thought it would redirect me back to http://www.rezgo.com.
    8. “Who are we?” is too long, you should make it shorter with a “read more” link. Right now it is way too long, and should it be on the homepage? You can include it on top if it were summarised.
9.WebVantage has a catchy name as well. They say “Give you business that web Vantage” relating directly to their website. And vantage obviously meaning advantage. Your website name does not have that, but it’s too late for that. You could play around with the words and make rezgo be its abbreviation?

  15. Thank you everyone for your excellent feedback.  We have already started to incorporate some of the changes that you have mentioned, like reducing the amount of text on the home page, making the logo clickable in the sign-up, changed the home page image, fixed the broken featured member links, removed the sign-up from the menu… and a bunch of other things.
Whew! I am really impressed with the service, I will be recommending this service to everyone that needs user feedback for their new web (or existing) web projects.  It’s been a pleasure.
