Visit http://www.rinsefield.com. Spend no more than 30 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
When I first got to the homepage I must say that I had no idea what your site was about. I had to read the little descriptive section to figure it out.
What do you think of the sign up process?
The sign up process was quick fast and easy. I checked my email within in seconds of doing my signup and all my info was right there on the page. I must say that I liked your presentataion of my email more than that of your hompage. It was clean, fresh and your image logo really stood out.
What did you like and didn’t like?
Visually the homepage is all over the place. It seems to be no clear precise color scheme and layout. It started out with blue which worked well if one knows what your site is about. Then you have a two large tabs that interject the colors of orange and blue which dont seem to go with anything on page. The map in the background looks mundane, poorly drawn and the lines to the pictures just make it look more cluttered. The pictures on the homepage look to cheek and posh for the everyday salon user. All of the people look as if they are going on a photo shoot or are runway models. None of the pictuers look like everyday people going to the salon or spa. Visually you have no diversity on your page.
I liked the tool bar in the center of the page making it easy to quicky type in the information you need to find. I didn’t quit understand the featured city tab.
On the user sign up and professional sign up tab the little facing off to the side look a little wierd. I understand it maybe part of your logo but it just looks oddly placed next to the faces already on there. It also seems like you have words in the background that might say what the tabs are and I would just tak that off. It seems to be more of a visual distraction than a benefit for the user to see. I would even consider making the little “avatar” images different on the page because they don’t seem to fit the flow of the page.
I tried to look myself under the users and I couldn’t even find my name. I typed in my name, dropped down to the user section and typed in my city and nothing. I even tried it again and left the city out and couldn’t find my name. That was a little disappointing to see that the search bar was not so easy to use.
What do you think of the user profile, and what do you think is missing?
I was a little confused when I came to the profile page. I saw style points, which you don’t mention anything about on your site. How do get style points? What are the purpose of them? I also saw that my birthday was the same day that i joined up. It is necessary to know what my birthday is on your site and if so maybe it should have been on your sign up page. I don’t mind the little avatar but I don’t like the fact that it looks blurry. I don’t mind the shout out section but I would not put it at the top of ones profile page as if its’ part of ones personal information. I like the new users on the side of the page but you can barely see the pictures that go with them. I think that the layout needs to be more fun looking and colorful.
Did you feel comfortable staying on the site, what makes you feel uncomfortable.
I was a little thrown off when I tried to find a salon for myself. I couldn’t find anything under my city so I clicked on the find salons tab and I saw that everything that I saw was MA. I like the general layout of each ad but I would like to have seen information under each tab, it makes it look visually complete. I understand that you can’t make a company put in info it just looks better. I didn’t quit understand why when I did a search that the middle tab kept going back to barber instead of what I set it to. Now if there was nothing search results then it stayed as I picked it. I don’t understand why you have the large search bar to find all your general info then you have the smaller find salon and find user tabs. I would just all around like easier userablity. When I tried to add a friend I was really not liking the phrase “stalk me” on your page. Stalking just sound creepy and no inviting in the slighest. I liked the live with us portion but I didn’t like how it showed every search I had done.
Now Go back. what do you think of the whole process of the site and what is missing?
The process seemed simple enough but it lacked a fun appeal and seems a little taxing to use the site it wasn’t engaging.
Will you come back and is this a site you will share your with your friend
I would come back if the site seems easier to use. I understand that is beta but the site seems not have a easy flow to it. I don’t see the aspect of sharing styles and info.
Please share additional comments and feedback.
I don’t think that the name of your site and the intial look at your homepage makes it easy to underwhat your site is about without reading it. I would like to see somewhere on your site that has a: cut of the cut of day, style of the day, style show down and one could vote to see who wore it best (everyday people or celebs with the same stye or outfit), fashion tips, barber advice. A spot where professionals could showcase their work or give tips would be nice. Recommendations would be nice for the best clippers, marcels shampoo. Is your site only for those in MA? I think your site as the potential to be a great gathering spot but it needs alot work and attention to detail.
Visit http://www.rinsefield.com. Spend no more than 30 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
I think the site has something to do with stylists or models (from all the model pictures)
What do you think of the sign up process?

Signing up was quick and easy.
What did you like and didn’t like?
I think you need to test your site with a heat map. When I first get on the site, my eyes don’t know where to look first. This is a problem. You want a plan of attack for what you want people to see first, second, third and so for so they disseminate the information properly. You have very small pictures on a worldwide map. They are so small I can’t make out the one in the far left corner, it is indistinguishable. I think you need to pick ONE picture that identifies your brand and use that. I see more pictures of models than anything else so I assume you do something related to models, but I see the word stylist used throughout. I say get rid of the confusion (and all the model pictures). Plus, your logo could be better. It kind of looks like someone getting their hair washed, but I think you need something that looks more memorable. Your logo just isn’t working for me.
What do you think of the user profile, and what do you think is missing?

User profile seems pretty basic, with a shout out feature. Don’t know what that is about. Nothing compelling me to use this.
Did you feel comfortable staying on the site, what makes you feel uncomfortable.
Uncomfortable. I don’t understand why it says “Latasha Pitts search for users” on my homepage. and to the right of all of the statuses, there are red x’s as if a picture isn’t loading.
Now Go back. what do you think of the whole process of the site and what is missing?

I think you need to clearly spell out this is a one-stop place to find stylists. You need a motto, and could improve upon your logo and homepage presentation. Don’t confuse us with the model stuff. Get rid of any thing to do with models! That is not your business so you need to leave it alone.
Will you come back and is this a site you will share your with your friend?

Not at this time. I don’t need a stylist in the first place.
Please share additional comments and feedback.

This site needs to have content in order for people to use it, but it appears that content is what it is lacking at this time. It feels too much like a template site, and not your own. I would like to see something more unique, and a site that does not confuse me with the model pics, when it has nothing to do with models.
Spend no more than 30 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
After spending just 30 seconds on the home page, I think Rinse Field is a social media site for hair stylists and clients. It seems like it might have a directory of stylists, salon reviews, coupons, and so on.
Â
What do you think of the sign up process?
There was no way I could miss the large sign-up button on the home page. The registration form was easy to fill out, but I wasn’t thrilled that I had to confirm my account from my email address. I actually hate that, especially when I’m not signing up for a paid service with security concerns. It’s just a waste of time. I also didn’t like that after I clicked the activation link, I still had to sign in. The site should really sign you in automatically as soon as you click the activation link.
Â
What did you like and didn’t like?
Not sure if you’re asking about the site in general or the sign-up process specifically. I already talked about the sign-up process, and I’ll make further comments about the site later on.
Â
What do you think of the user profile, and what do you think is missing?
It’s a little hard for me to comment when I haven’t even had a chance to look around the site yet. For instance, my profile shows that I have four “Style Points.” What’s that all about? Maybe I would know if I’d had a chance to look around the site before I signed up, but since I had to jump right in and sign up, I have no idea what this is about. Same with “Shout Outs.” What’s that about? It’s hard to comment on features I know nothing about. (Note: After looking around the site for awhile, I still don’t know the purpose of these features. I suggest you have a help page or rollover pop-ups to explain them.)
Â
I clicked on “Edit My Profile.” My only complaint here is that this is a site about hair, and you only leave room to list one “Brand I Use” and “Style I Like.” Shouldn’t you encourage users to list numerous brands and styles since most of us use multiple hair products and don’t wear our hair the same way all the time? Would also like to see a place to list “My Salon” if your goal is really to help salons publicize themselves through client referrals and testimonials. Your other profile menu options were easy to locate and seemed self-explanatory–“View Profile Detail,” “My Favorites,” “My Messages,” etc. “Account Settings” should really be first or last, not sandwiched in the middle. I actually did visit “Account Settings” because I wanted to see what you had in the way of privacy settings. Any site with social networking components should really offer some privacy options. On the other hand, I did like that you clearly display the deactivate option for members who want to cancel their accounts. I hate it when sites make it difficult or impossible to delete an account. So bravo to you for making this so easy! It makes me trust your site more than I would otherwise.
Â
Did you feel comfortable staying on the site, what makes you feel uncomfortable.
Sure, I felt comfortable. I can’t say anything made me feel “uncomfortable.”
Â
Now Go back. what do you think of the whole process of the site and what is missing?
Ok, let’s start with the home page. I signed out, so I could see it as a new visitor would.
Â
First of all, big glaring error: Your site is called “Rinse Field,” right? That’s what it says in your logo and in your header. But uh-oh! Halfway down the home page, you call it “Rinsefield.” So which is it? Also, you have some spacing issues in the red intro copy below your main image, and in your selling points, you repeatedly misuse “stylist” in the singular when it should be “stylists” plural. These may seem like minor points, but these kinds of errors separate the men from the boys, so to speak.
Â
Second, your home page is rather generic looking. The blue is an inoffensive shade, but I don’t see what it has to do with hair. The map image with the models doesn’t clearly focus on hair either. Just from looking at the image, I’d think this could be a site about fashion as easily as it could be a site about hair. The sign-up buttons are huge–almost too huge. I think they’re wasting valuable space. Same goes for the “Live With Us,” which seems to be some sort of feed. But what exactly is it a feed of? Users currently on the site? Surely this could be smaller.
Â
Third, the only tabs you have on the home page are Feedback and Featured City. When I was signed in, I also saw Find Salons, Find User, and Highly Rated. If you want to make visitors sign up to use those search features, fine. But then give them a pop-up registration form when they click on those pages. Don’t hide the pages from view until they register! If they can’t see the pages are there in the first place, then what’s the incentive to register to use them?
Â
Fourth, you are obviously heavily promoting your search feature since it’s accessible on the home page even to visitors. However, when I tried just searching for stylists in my area, I got no results, and I live near an enormous city.
Â
What I suggest is that you totally revamp the home page. Get rid of the blue scribble in the header, get rid of the silly map, and make the sign-up buttons and user feed smaller to conserve space. Now add some big, bold (maybe rotating) images or an image collage of hair models. I’m talking about headshots here, the kind that you would see in a hairstyle magazine, not these irrelevant runway shots you have now. Then jazz up your selling points. Right now, they all sound the same. Change up the wording and make it catchier. For example, you might try:
Â
At Rinse Field, you can:
Â
–Book your stylist right on the web–so easy
–Share your hot new style with all your friends
–Get coupons for your favorite products
–Review products, stylists, and shops
Â
Still signed out, I clicked on Feedback. There’s nothing wrong with your feedback form, but it should be the very last tab on the home page. Eyes read left to right. The feedback form is usually the last thing visitors are concerned with, so put everything else first.
Â
Then, I clicked on Featured City. I’m not sure why two cities were featured here. I’m also not sure why you’d even want to have a page like this. People want to find stylists near them. They’re not going to care if you feature stylists in some city hundreds of miles away. If you’re going to have a feature page that highlights different listings on a rotating basis, I would feature individual stylists or salons instead of individual cities. Better yet, call the page “Featured Stylist in Your City” and highlight a stylist near the user’s hometown.
Â
At this point, I signed back in so I could access your other pages. When I clicked Find Salons, I landed on a page of apparently random salon listings in the Boston area. Once again, I attempted to use the search bar to look in my area but got no results. The listings themselves look okay, although I wonder why they don’t seem to be presented in an orderly fashion such as alphabetically or by user rating. I like that each main listing displays the salon’s location, services, user rating, and contact info right upfront, and I love that you can book an appointment on the web. How convenient! Clicking “View More Details” leads to a fuller entry where I can add the salon to my favorites, get coupons, and see awards and user reviews. Very nice!
Â
Clicking Find Users takes me to a member directory, but there doesn’t seem to be any way to filter my search results. What if I want to find people who use a certain salon or who like certain products?
Â
Clicking Highly Rated takes me to a blank page, so I can’t really comment on this.
Â
Will you come back and is this a site you will share your with your friend?
If you started listing my salon, there’s a good chance I would use your site to book appointments there. That’s very convenient. I also might visit the site if I was looking for a new stylist or considering buying a new hair product so that I could read the reviews. Would I share it with my friends? Eh…maybe if I heard one of my friends was looking for a new stylist or wanted to book her appointments online.
Â
Please share additional comments and feedback.
My basic impression is that your site isn’t ready to launch yet. It just doesn’t have enough listings. You need to have at least a few listings in all the major cities.
Â
Also, I don’t understand why you limit so much of your site to members only. You’re not going to entice anyone to sign up if they can’t see what’s good about your site. As I see it, the real selling points of Rinse Field are that users can book appointments online and get coupons and discounts. I suggest you restrict those services to members only but allow nonmembers access to all the basic search features. If you hide away those search features, new visitors are never going to know they exist, so why would they want to sign up?
Â
Finally, I really think you should redesign your home page. Right now, it looks so generic and boring. Let’s see some bold, beautiful headshots of models with gorgeous hair! Let’s see a cute slogan and some catchier copy. Make this fun, not bland!
Visit http://www.rinsefield.com. Spend no more than 30 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
My thoughts on what the site is about is, it’s a website for stylists to meet other professionals who have similar interests and ideas in styling as the visitor does. It also looks like a person can search for either a barber or a hairstylist in their area, book appointments with the stylist or barber of their choice, and find coupons, rewards and where shops are located. It also appears that the site has a review section of different stylists.
What do you think of the sign up process?
The sign up process is quick and easy, even with having to go and activate the account via email. I like that the sign up is fast, but would prefer not to have to go to the extra steps of activating the account through email.
What did you like and didn’t like?
I liked that the sign up process consisted of only having to provide your name, user name and password, instead of adding City, State etc. I didn’t like having to go to my email to activate the account, I thought it was an unnecessary extra step, unless there is a reason like a paid account which I didn’t see on the homepage, or maybe for professional users. I signed up using the regular user account. Otherwise, it was fast and easy.
What do you think of the user profile, and what do you think is missing?
The user profile looks neat and clean, with the font large and good colors that aren’t overpowering. The words and images stand out and it appears everything needed to use the site and connect with friends and contacts is all in one place. I would like some information on what the style points means, and what the number means, maybe once you sign in to your account. What could be missing is, a way to know when your friends or contacts are online, and perhaps an instant messaging program or private messaging system. That could be what the message icon means, but I took it to mean it’s more of a website email system.
Did you feel comfortable staying on the site, what makes you feel uncomfortable.
I felt pretty comfortable on the site, nothing really made me feel uncomfortable there. The only thing I could think of that might make one feel uncomfortable could be the apparent lack of information on the other users. It might be a good idea to have more information or contacts from actual salons or stylists and ways to contact them under find users. Unless of course they are stylists who have signed into the site.
Now Go back. what do you think of the whole process of the site and what is missing?
The process of signing up is simple and easy, and it’s a pretty easy site to navigate around, with large fonts on the banner clearly stating where to go to find other users, salons and reviews. What I feel is missing is more information on what the site is actually for. Is it for regular users to find salons that are highly rated in their area? Is it for stylists to connect with each other? Is it for both? Perhaps the FAQ and Help sections should be featured more clearly on the banner instead of at the bottom of the page. What is the purpose of the points? What does the larger numbers mean in terms of ‘authority’? The homepage maybe should feature more salons or top rated ones in different areas of the country too.
Will you come back and is this a site you will share your with your friend?
I will not come back to the site, but not because it’s not a good idea. I’m not a stylist, and there are plenty of salons in my area, so I wouldn’t need a service like this. If I had a friend who was interested in styling, or was a stylist I would share the site with them.
Please share additional comments and feedback.
The website seems pretty well thought out, perhaps a bit of tweaking in terms of giving a new user more information when first getting on the site might be helpful. It would be a good idea to have reviews on the site of salons and stylists, to encourage people to keep coming back. I would also suggest giving some sort of reason for the points, other than giving a user ‘authority’ over their friends, or at least explain what the significance of these points would be.Â
Â
Â
Visit http://www.rinsefield.com. Spend no more than 30 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about
RinseField is a platform to search for stylist and sharing my style.
What do you think of the sign up process?
I can successfully sign up and log in. But I expect that by activating my account I will be logged in too, why I have log in again. Also, the confirmation email clearly writes my secret words down. I’m concerned with the privacy. The database should NEVER save user’s password in this form. Try something like MD5 hash to encrypt users’ password. You are using php and it should be easily done with some hashing functions, store our password in encrypted form.
What did you like and didn’t like?
Not bad layout, this is a beta version so not all the things work, for example twitter, youtube and your blog.
I like the detail page of the stylist, say salon, that there is a map showing where the location is exactly. But I would also like to see the shop of the salon before I make an appointment. Is it clean? Is it comfortable? You have to make the profile attractive enough for web users to select them. Also, there is an exclamation mark inside a yellow triangle when I add a salon to my favorite list. The image reminds me of an error. This is clearly not an error. Better change it, you can use a heart or some images make you relate to favorite on the spot.
On the salon page there are also 5 stars on the right of the page. I can rate it and it is showed instantly on the page. Then on the user reviews I can read the comment on it. But it is also better to read the user’s comment, AND the rating they give together.
On the frontpage, you seem putting quite a lot of stress on the live with us table, which shows us what the lastest activity the users are doing on the site. I don’t think it’s that important to show 6 activities on the most expensive space of your website. Reduce it to 3 only, and relocate it on the lower section of the page. Use that space for promoting stronger message of your website. Users will not be interested what your users are doing before they know what your site can help them.
What do you think of the user profile, and what do you think is missing?
The profile main page is a little too brief. It’s okay if it’s just a user account. But for stylist accounts there should be places where they can fill in their history, specialty, or some of the works that they have done to build a portfolio for them.
Did you feel comfortable staying on the site, what makes you feel uncomfortable.
I comfortable staying on the site, the colors are okay and the fonts are easy to read, and of an adequate size.
It was only the unloaded / unlinked images on throughout the website which is bugging me. It is beta version and not everything works. But please make sure that NONE of the image will be unloaded before you release the production application.
Now Go back. what do you think of the whole process of the site and what is missing?
Redesign the use of some functions.
On the top menu there are “find salons” and “find users”. But since Barber, Spas and Stylists are also searchable in your category, why there are no those tags on the menu bar? If I can find salons and users on the search bar, then the tags “find salons and users” will not be necessary. Also as a user I don’t want my profile to be searched that easily across the site.
Will you come back and is this a site you will share your with your friend?
Yes when the city I’m located is listed as a featured city. Right now most of the stylists location are in cambridge and boston.
I think all people will be interested to see how they can style up by learning from stylist; on the other way stylists could also promote themselves through your site.
Please share additional comments and feedback.
Add a favicon.
The feedback tag, if this is about the user feedback on rinse field, I think this link should be better sided along with the about us page on the bottom.
A blog is VERY IMPORTANT to the site as it generates new content everytime you have a new blog, and search engine loves new contents, so I urge you link your blog into your site asap. Youtube, twitter and facebook can wait, but the ranking of search engines takes time to build in (around 2 weeks), and the longer it’s there the better, it’s just a simple linking task and just take you at most 2 minutes to do it, complete this first.
Good luck on working on the website. I also know a few of the stylist searching website, so you’re not alone in this kind of application.
Â
Visit http://www.rinsefield.com. Spend no more than 30 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
For the first few second i visit i have no idea what the site is about until i saw the word connect share and book stylist. Then i saw the ‘barber’ title at the search engine. it give me a thought of the site is about searching for barber or searching for stylist for hair styling. The blue color area at the top is not a good combination of color with the service you provide. When i saw the color it makes me feel like the site is something to do with surfing or something to do with relaxation site. I suggest you can use a darker color for the top area which match the style of your site. I would suggest you add a short description of what your site is about below your rinse field title at top. This could make people more clear about what the site is about. Â
What do you think of the sign up process?
The registration process is definitely easy and simple. But after i click the create my account button, i then been notified to check my email but below there the registration form is still displaying which make some confusion. I thought i have to re-enter again my first last name n id password. I suggest you directly prompt the thank you for registering message at a new page after the user click the create my account button instead of displaying at the same page with the registration form.Â
What did you like and didn’t like?
What i don’t like is about the registration completed and still displaying the registration form which i mentioned above. Another thing is that the user sign up and professional sign up. The site didn’t mention about what the different between user and professional sign up. I tried to click both of it and it displayed the same registration form only that the professional sign up have the option to choose the aspect of barber beautician or spas. I suggest you add a short description about what is professional sign up below each of the button to avoid question mark on the visitor mind. It also make your site looks more professional. What i like is that your homepage make me feel comfortable which is simple and it’s not complicated. Also i like the feedback which i can send a message to directly instead of you only providing me your email address. I also like your search engine which is very convenience for the user to search when they visit.Â
What do you think of the user profile, and what do you think is missing?
The user profile looks fine which is simple and it is user friendly. The help and FAQ is too small at the bottom which is hard for people to found it as people mostly will need it for some explanation about your feature. Also the my dashboard and the sign out page is hardly for me to notice that it actually existed. The words color should be more darker. The my dashboard button should place on the menu bar or below the menu bar for user convenience to click on it. I tried to submit a shout out but it just appear on the writing box which i thought it will appear as a status. I suggest you make it a status after people click submit or you link it to a page which most of the people will see the page for shout out.Â
Did you feel comfortable staying on the site, what makes you feel uncomfortable.
No, but it’s a little bored as i don’t know what i should do with it. I suggest you can add a pop up for new user to tell them step by step what to do at first.
Now Go back. what do you think of the whole process of the site and what is missing?
The whole site process is great. It is a good service for people to search for the service provider such as stylist or spas. What is missing is that a instruction and a screenshot of how your service look like after they sign up for new user. It is important to let the visitor know what they need to do and how does the service look like before they sign up. You can display a slide shows at the homepage which include some screen shot of how does your site works and some short explanation about it. This could make people more easy to understand and it will be more comfort for the visitor. You can add your best part into the slide shows which it can impress the visitor with your service. This could become the attraction to more visitor sign up.Â
Will you come back and is this a site you will share your with your friend?
If i need your service i will definitely come back for it. When im looking for a new stylist or shops i will try use your service to search it. Yes i will share it with my friend if my friend need suggestion about the places or style.Â
Please share additional comments and feedback.
The service you provided is very convenient for the user. You need to let the visitor know what is the benefit of your service when they first visit. I suggest that you can add a listing of the benefits of using your service and why people should use your service or what is the main purpose of your service. You can add all these at your homepage which it might clear up some visitor mind. When they read through it they will know what they can expect and what they can get from your site which is very straight forward.
Hey Latasha,
Thank you for your great feedback.
Â
Spend no more than 30 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
I think the site is there to connect clients with hair stylist. It allows people to earn discounts by using the site.
What do you think of the sign up process?
It is an easy process but in reality I would have never signed up for the site as your terms and conditions link doesn’t work yet I was forced to accept the terms and conditions I couldn’t read. I also dislike the fact that I have to go to email box to get access to the site. When I click on the email link I get taken to a page where I don’t want to be. I want to go to the home page an explore the site more. I want to see if my stylist is there and if other people like her as much as I do. I want to see if my friends are here and what they are doing and saying and then I’d probably be ready to work on my profile.
What did you like and didn’t like?
Assuming you are still talking about the sign up process I believe I answered this question above.
What do you think of the user profile, and what do you think is missing?
The user profile section appears to be complete but it is almost to complete. Why is my birthday mandatory? Why is my relationship status mandatory? I understand that you are trying to use the social networking angle but facebook and myspace both give you control over what information you share. I really don’t like being forced into sharing information that I don’t want to. I value my privacy and generally don’t share those things with strangers. I do not see anything that will let me control who sees what. I thought clicking on account settings would give me some control over who sees what but the only place it takes me to is deactivate my account or change my password. I think I would suggest some user options to avoid people being uncomfortable with all the personal questions be required.Â
Did you feel comfortable staying on the site, what makes you feel uncomfortable.
On the whole I am comfortable but as mentioned earlier I am concerned about my privacy and not having settings that allow me to control who sees what about me.
Now Go back. what do you think of the whole process of the site and what is missing?
I am not thrilled with the home page. The pictures are to small and I can’t enlarge them. What point do the flowers serve? I don’t like the User sign up and Professional sign up links. I think stylist sign up would be much more appropriate. I also don’t like the avatars. As near as I can figure out you are looking for trendy stylist and people who use them. The avatars do not match the image I think the site is trying to portray. Also the home page does have enough links to give the visitor an idea of what they will see on the site. I clicked on each of the 4 things in the lower left hand corner thinking they would be live links and give me more of a feel for the site. They really look like click-able links so I don’t know if it’s just start up issues or if they are just not live links.
The featured city page was a bite of a surprise as I found two cities instead of one. Is one a past featured city? If so I don’t see a link to past featured cities. I think archive a of would be helpful.
There’s really not much here to keep on the site. I think you need something fun to do. Perhaps have different possible cuts and styles that people can put on there profile pictures. Maybe even allow them to make it a profile picture so they can get peoples opinions. Some should be serous real possible cuts and styles and others should be outlandish and fun. This would give people a reason to be on the site for a much longer period of time.
Since I have already deleted my account I can only explore the Featured City and the Feedback links on the top.
The FAQ page has a number of grammatical errors and professionals suddenly become merchants. I have read the entire page and I still have no idea how I qualify discounts. Is it with points? If you really are trying to add other industries to the site you might want to change the name to something more generic. Rinse Field is good for the way you have it now but if your adding dog salons, restaurants, etc… the name will not make sense or be memorable.
Why is there no link to the home page anywhere on this site? It really needs one especially if I am looking to see who’s on the site at any given time.
Will you come back and is this a site you will share your with your friend?
I might come back to the site to book an appointment with my stylist but no I would not invite friends here. Fix the privacy concerns and give me some fun things to do and that might change.
Please share additional comments and feedback.
I like the concept but I think you are missing a few key elements. More salons are needed. I ran my zip code and nothing came up. A search nearby button would be helpful. I’d like to see a place for before and after photo’s. Maybe spice up the site in general. You are trying to attract trendy people and stylist but I don’t think the site fits the image. Some bright colors and a unique website design would go along way towards achieving that goal. I also think you need to be prepared to change the home page pictures and update the content often. This could could be easily achieved by interviewing stylist and show casing a new salon every few weeks. This would give people a reason to come back regularly.
