Visit https://www.shoprdr.com/Default.asp. Spend no more than 30 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

Rodeo Drive Resale appears to be a place to resell luxury items via a consignment agreement.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

The pattern of the background and the color purple do a good job projecting premium on your brand. The brand logo looks good.Â
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

I don’t like how at the bottom left where it says the phone number, I don’t like the “phantom e” after 1-888-My-Resal . You include the e with the Resale and just don’t tell them that it is not needed to dial it. (It will dial the correct place).
Also, on homepage:The font is too small for the text: “Make Flexible No Interest Payments with” (right before Easy-Pay)
What do you think of the sign up process?

Straightforward.

Glitches: I have found a link out of place. If I look between “Clothing” and “Accessories” on your homepage, I can see the top of some text, but it is not legible and hidden behind the box beneath your links. Apparently, it is a link to the “Sell Now” page. Did this link not make the first link of navigation buttons or should this not be here at all?
When I click on the “Gift Card” tab, I think the actual gift card picture should be shown at actual size. Some people like to see what it looks like, and the current pic does not do it justice. I think it could also be centered on the page instead of lined up on the left side.
I don’t quite understand why the font for “View Cart” is purple. It stands out as if you want it to be seen as something special versus the other navigation links. If that was not your intention, I suggest you change it to the same font as the rest of your links.
I also think you could make the other navigation links “Bold” text versus regular font. It almost looks like some of the links are a different font size too. “Sale” looks smaller than “Gift Card” and “View Cart” looks like it is the largest. Maybe that is because that is in bold (or appears to be). I recommend consistency with the fonts of your links.

The site is about online sale of luxury designer items like bags, clothing and accessories.Â
You can also sell your own designer items online.

-The color scheme is vibrant.
– The theme is very nice and the purpose of the site comes out clearly.
–  The site looks professionally done.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
The page layout is quite bothersome. I am not particularly comfortable with the font.Â
I like how one can easily narrow down the search by designer, price etc. The pictures are also nice and big. I would be fairly confident of purchasing items myself through this site.
What do you think of the sign up process?
The sign up is nice and easy.Â
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
– The selling page could have been a bit more user friendly. It contains too much information.
–The various credit card company logos at the bottom of the page make it look cluttered.Â
–The font on the homepage can be changed.
The site is pretty decent overall. good work.
What do you think the site is about? Your home page is very very well designed. It’s clear that that this is an online consignment shop. To be honest with you, I don’t really know what a consignment shop is. Is it a thrift store? I’ve only recently heard about one, but I know they’ve been around for a long time. Because we live in a world of chain stores, franchises, shopping malls and outlets, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to remind us exactly what your consignment store does. Maybe a sub-headline announcing: GET USED LUXURY BRANDS AT BARGAIN PRICES. TOP QUALITY. LIKE NEW. Something like that. So that it tells the reader right upfront what you’re about and what you do. At the moment, the one thing that catches my eye is that I can sell my luxury goods. Are you prepared for the onslaught of people who want to sell their luxury wares for money they need?
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site. I love the color scheme and design. Very well put together and organized. I see no problems with design. Just add a bit more content describing your consignment store purpose.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like? I didn’t find anything bothersome. I liked it all.
What do you think of the sign up process? Very well done. Easy to follow.

Like the color, pleasing to look at. Knew exactly what the site was about. Easily see that I can resale my items. The navigation at top was descriptive and knew what everything was. I also knew which payment methods were accepted and which organizations the website is associated with and that they have been doing this for 10 years. Would make me feel safe for buying something from this site.Â

The rich purple color and monogrammed logo remind me of high-end, designer items. The white font works well and the items in different colors really stand out and are noticed.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I found the middle graphic to take up too much space. Would have expected some featured items for sale. I do like the simplicity of the graphics. Not too much font in them. Font is a nice size, too.
What do you think of the sign up process?
It was simple, straightforward and fast. From my account, I can easily see the links related to selling, buying, and account maintenance.

Overall I like the design but find the drop down boxes when looking at the categories a bit distracting. I would personally like these drop down boxes in a side menu. The site does have a professional quality to it, so I would feel comfortable both buying and selling items here.

The template and the design is great. the coloring is also pretty good for a site of this type. They also have some compelling offers, especially for people who sign up. They offer a $20 sign up bonus for a reward. You also get free shipping for orders that are over $200.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I do not find anything bothersome about the site. I like that you can also sell some items with the store and not just buy items. Â
What do you think of the sign up process?
I think the sign up process is pretty standard. It asks you for your email account and it allows you to make up a password. Then when you get to the next page, you are to enter in your personal information. Name, address, phone number, etc. It is a fairly standard process.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Overall, this is a good site for women. This site has a lot of promise with its products and offers. I think this business will thrive and be a great success. The only thing is that it is a little bit limited in selection. This is probably because it is only starting out. They only sell a certain style of clothing and accessories. However, I think that if it advertises to the type of audience that buys these, it will do well.
What do you think the site is about?
The site is an online luxury consignment shop where a person could chose to buy or sell gently used high end items. This is very clear up front.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
The colors are great, they pop without being too much and the layout is easy to navigate.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
Something I found a little bothersome is the purple view cart link, it makes me think I have put something in my cart by accident, perhaps if it only changed color when there was something in it?
I like the layout, the links are very easy to locate and the the overall design is very appealing. I like how the store policies are clearly described and there is a phone number openly displayed. The clothes are displayed in a way that sets them off and organized so that anyone could find what they are looking for. The search options are a great touch. It makes this site more user friendly. The whole thing seems welcoming to online shoppers of every skill level. I also like that no matter what I am looking at the bottom information stays there (phone numbers, links, return info) It is also nice that most of the information also includes a link to it, so you have more than one way to find out about the features your store offers.
What do you think of the sign up process?
It was super easy to sign up and all the information is right there for what I’ve potentially bought or sold, it seems like it would be very easy to manage my account on my own.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I love that this site is so simple to navigate, it is not at all intimidating. Everything is straight forward and user friendly.
Spend no more than 30 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
Looks like users can buy and sell secondhand designer clothes and accessories. Basically an online consignment shop.
Â
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
Home Page: I like the deep, rich purple color–a royal purple, if you will. It conveys luxury, as does the ornate logo, although the inclusion of a backwards “R” is rather inexplicable. Your tagline tells me right away that you are “Luxury Designer Consignment,” so no confusion there. However, I’m not sure I like that your name and logo take center stage on the page while images of your products are pushed into the right margin. It seems like your name and logo should take up less room so that your items can be front and center. I do like the images of a bag made of cash and cash erupting from a bag to imply that users can make money at this site. On the other hand, I think your images entitled “Love Handbags?” and “More Designer Shoes” are too large and strangely placed all the way at the bottom of the page. I actually found them only by accident; I thought the page ended with the display of accepted credit cards and authentications. That seems like the logical end of a page, so visitors may not think to scroll down further and see those great deals on bags and shoes. You also seem to be “hiding” your free shipping announcement at the top of the page in very small print. I’d suggest enlarging that. Again, this is the type of thing that could be more prominent if your name and logo weren’t so huge.
Â
I find your tabs to be ordered a little bit strangely, and there a lot of them. I would suggest you simplify by combining a lot of this stuff into two tabs–“Buy” and “Sell.” “Buy” could have a dropdown menu of item categories. (By the way, why is St. John Knit a separate category? Isn’t that a line of clothing?) Anyway, you could finish off the tabs with “Easy-Pay,” “Gift Cards,” “View Cart,” and “My Account,” leaving you with a more manageable six tabs instead of twelve.
Â
I do like that the bottom of the page (or what I originally thought was the bottom) clearly offers live help, return info, and various authentications, especially since most of these items probably cost a good chunk of cash even secondhand. (One very small error: Take a look at your phone number. The final “e” in the number is grayed out.)
Â
Searches: I did a few searches and liked how the results were displayed with large, attractive images, the full name of the product, and a before-and-after cost comparison. When I clicked on individual items, I liked that there were multiple photos of each and explicit purchase info to the right, although I thought the font for the purchase info should have been larger. I also liked that you provide a lot of specs from the manufacturer, which help me to envision exactly what I’m buying. However, I didn’t like the tiny font again or the placement of these specs so far down the page. I might easily have overlooked them, so I think you should move them up to the right, immediately under the pricing details, where you now have unused white space. Then you could reorient the “You might also like…” suggestions, displaying them in a horizontal row directly beneath the current item images. They might be more visible that way.
Â
In all, I conducted one search in each category. I appreciated your different filters, although I was disappointed that the most important filter of all seemed to be missing–a filter describing the item type. For example, there are lots of different kinds of accessories. What if I wanted to search for just necklaces? There are lots of different kinds of clothes. What if I wanted to search for just pants? See what I mean? I also have to say that I was disappointed in your selection of all brands except St. John. That seems to really be your specialty, and everything else gets short shrift.
Â
View Cart: I tried adding an item to my cart. I was pleased to see that I can calculate shipping before adding all my billing info. Also, it seems like I can make a purchase without signing up for an account. If that’s true, then I like that a lot. I hate how so many sites make you set up an account just to buy an occasional item…Oh, nope, guess not. I do have to set up an account after all when I get to the next step. Bummer!
Â
Gift Card: Self-explanatory page. No problems here. Links to an order form that looks fine.
Â
Easy-Pay: Good copy, nice image. The process is easily understandable, and you link to a terms page with more details that also makes sense.
Â
Selling: You begin the page with a statement in an ornate font that is hard to read. I can read it but not at all quickly. As usual, I wish the copy on this page was larger. Your selling points look good, but several are followed by asterisks. Where do these asterisks lead to? Otherwise, the process is easy to understand, and the benefits to the seller are clear. I like that you provide free shipping for sellers, by the way.
Â
Recently Sold: Why does this page have a separate link on the bottom of the home page? It’s one of your item search pages. It should link from the top with the rest of the item search pages.
Â
Gift Packaging: This page begins with that difficult, overly ornate font again. Your selling points are good, but once again some of them are followed by asterisks that seem to lead to nothing. And you’re leaving out one of the most important bits of info–the cost of the gift packaging.
Â
Authenticity: I really appreciate your guarantee. You might want to proofread this page, though. There are some words randomly (and incorrectly) capitalized.
Â
Press: Wow! This page is impressive. Didn’t realize you’d had so much publicity! Definitely makes your site feel trustworthy. You even scanned in some of your press! Good job.
Â
About Us: Great page. Good copy that feels “branded” and clearly states your business philosophy and goals. Would like to see a larger font, though, and, once again, you should proofread. There are places where commas are needed or a period is used when there should be a comma. Little errors like that.
Â
Help: I’m impressed again! This is much more extensive than the help sections I see at many small sites. The only thing that’s kind of strange is that some question links take you to answers farther down the page, whereas other question links take you to separate pages. That’s a little problem with uniformity there. However, it’s minor. I really do love that you’ve laid out all this help info here. It’s so accessible!
Â
International: I’m sure users living abroad will really appreciate this. Most sites don’t have a separate page to address this issue, and people overaseas are left wondering if they can even purchase from the site or not.
Â
Shipping Info: Again, I appreciate pages like this, and not all retail sites have them. The font could be larger, but it’s a small detail. The only real problem I have with this page is the gray text below the headline informing us that free shipping is for domestic addresses only and doesn’t apply to all items. This statement really needs to be the same size and color as the text on the rest of the page. As it is now, it looks like you’re trying to be sneaky and hide it in plain sight.
Â
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
What do I find bothersome? The lack of selection. As I said, I feel like this site is predominantly for fans of St. John. Everybody else gets a meager selection. Additionally, I don’t like that I can’t search for items by type (i.e., skirts or jackets under “Clothing,” sandals or pumps under “Shoes,” etc.). I also don’t care for the very small fonts throughout the site. On your home page, I think you’re wasting a lot of space with that huge logo in the middle. Plus, there are a lot of tabs and links on your home page that could be condensed with dropdown menus, which would make them less overwhelming to the visitor.
Â
What do I like? The site in general is pretty nice. I like the color on the home page and the images (although their placement isn’t ideal). I like the way the items display in the search results and the detailed information provided about each one, including numerous photos. Also, I like that you offer easy pay, and I like that you make it attractive for users to sell here as well as buy. I really appreciate how you build trust with users by prominently displaying positive media attention, certificates of authenticity, and your money-back guarantee.
Â
What do you think of the sign up process?
I easily found the “Sign Up for a New Account” clickable image. It’s neat that you offer new members $20 in spending money. When I completed the sign-up process, I was taken to a page with lots of links to info for newbies. These links were divided into categories, but it was very hard to read the titles of the categories because of the gray color of the text on the dark background. I read them only with great difficulty. I was confused as to why one category was called “My Selling Account” while another was called “My Buying Account.” Does this mean I have to set up two separate accounts, one for each? Some of the links you provide opened up in small pop-up windows. Others brought me to full-page forms or very short pages. There was a sense that something was missing in terms of uniformity. I think I would’ve preferred to see a more traditional dashboard set-up like many other sites use, something with the option to make multiple changes on the same page. Also, how do I get my $20?
Â
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I’m sure I’ve written enough by this point. For the most part, I like your site. I think the home page could be better organized, and I think you could have a better selection of products as well as an easier way to search for them. However, it looks like your site is otherwise extremely user-friendly. You do a lot to build user trust and provide a lot of info about your company, your products, and the buying/selling process. Your copy throughout the site is very well written, and your images are appealing. Although your selection is rather limited at this point, you seem like the kind of site I would want to do business with if you were selling brands that appealed to me. And certainly I would consider you if I had something appropriate to sell.

HOME PAGE
Like
– The deep purple color just oozes luxury and I think it’s a perfect fit for your website.
– I like the scrolling pictures on the homepage, they are well photographed and make the products look good.
– 100% authenticity guaranteed, this is really important to me and I like that you make that clearly visible on the home page.
– Live help visible on the home page so users don’t have to go searching the site for answers to questions they may have.
Dislike
– I think your logo and phrase at the top of the page could be larger so it stands out a lot more.
– I also think your navigation bar is too small and simple. The writing is very plain and the text is a bit too small. I would like to see a fancier text that is still easy to read, that would match the rest of the home page and luxurious feel.
– On the home page at the bottom just under live help there is the phone number “1-888-My-Resale” the e in resale is in grey while the rest of the text is in purple. I think you have made it like this because the e isn’t part of the number but in doing this I think it doesn’t look good. I first thought this was an error and I think it looks odd. Maybe best just to leave the e out completely.
Â
SHOPPING
Like
– I like the photo’s of the products. They are clear, bright and large and I love the zoom in feature. I also like that you show the products from a variety of angles.
– Most of the product descriptions are really good and go into detail. I really like that you explain the condition of the product on it’s various elements.
– The search features on this site a great, you can search by price, designer, style, condition, keyword etc. I really like this feature.
– Like the sale section.
– I think the compare feature is absolutely fantastic. I usually end up opening various windows in order to compare products on the same site so I think that feature on your site is fabulous.
Dislike
– I would like to see a larger range of designers and more variety, there seems to be a lot of St John.
– When I was searching by keyword every time I went to start a new search it would search the old word plus the new word. For example I searched Prada in the category “shop everything” and sorted by price, it came up with all the Prada products. Then I deleted Prada and typed in Gucci and it came up with no items found because it was searching for Prada Gucci as a whole word. I had to re click on “shop everything” and go through the process again and type Gucci in order for it to show Gucci products. I tried this on several occasions and had the same result.
– I went to add an item to my shopping cart and when I clicked “add to cart” it came up with “Sorry, the following item is currently out of stock: LOUIS VUITTON BABYLONE SIGNATURE MONOGRAM COLLECTION TOTE BAG”. I don’t understand why you would list items that you don’t have in stock. To me this is frustrating that I found something I liked and choose that over something else and in the end after all that time looking it’s not even available. I would much rather only see products that are available to buy and are in stock.
Â
PAYMENT, SHOPPING CART
Like
– Like that you have a large variety of payment methods.
– Easy pay is a nice idea and I think that is a big asset to your site.
– Huge asset that you ship to so many countries. I also like that on the “shopping cart” page you can calculate the cost of shipping for each individual country and select your mode of shipping/postage. This saves any nasty hidden postage/shipping costs on the final payment page and customers know what they are paying straight up especially if they live abroad.
– Don’t really dislike anything in this section, I think it’s straight forward and easy to use.
Â
MY ACCOUNT
Like
– The fact that you have one account and you can buy and sell with the same account.
– On one page you can find everything for managing your orders, to changing details and tracking parcels etc.
Dislike
– The grey text used for the titles “My Selling Account” etc is hard to read and I think I have good eyesight. The subtext after the main text is also really tiny and a strain on the eyes. I think the whole color scheme on this page could be changed to make it easier to see.
Â
What do you think of the sign up process?
Fist of all I didn’t know where to click because on the homepage I didn’t see “Sign Up” or “Join Rodeo Drive Resale” or anything like that so I thought it must be under “my account”. I then found the link to new users. Once on the sign up page I found it very, very simple. Normal questions asked and all pretty straightforward.
Â
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I think the site overall is good and very easy to navigate. It feels like a professional and trustworthy site that I would feel confident to buy from. I just think your text sizes overall could be larger to make them a lot easier to read. If users can’t read the text or have to strain to read they are not going to spend that long on this site.
Â
Visit https://www.shoprdr.com/Default.asp. Spend no more than 30 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
The purpose of the site seems clear, it’s a site that allows sellers to list luxury clothing and accessories on consignment and for buyers to search and purchase luxury brands.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
The navigation and layout are clear and easy to follow. The search is very good, especially how it allows searching within results. I just don’t think the site looks very “high end”. The logo looks sort of cheap, the fonts look unprofessional, the colors are too dark and the orange and the highlight purple clash with the dark purple in the layout. For me, the purple dominates the whole page and makes it hard to look at for an extended period of time.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I think the slideshow on the front page is too big. I dislike the color scheme. The pages are easy to navigate and everything works as expected. The site seems trustworthy.
What do you think of the sign up process?
Signup is easy, I didn’t have any issues with that. The section of the form to list items again looks sort of outdated and “Web 1.0”-ish.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
My overall impression of the site is that it looks dated. I would not initially expect to find modern designer goods on this site. After looking around, the selection is reasonably good, but I didn’t think it would be from my initial look at the site. The idea is good and the site works nicely, it’s just hard to look at and I feel like that takes away from the premise of the site, especially since its selling upscale clothing.
What do you think the site is about?
The website sells authentic items on consignment and at resale and has been around for 10 years. The website appears to move very fast and showing items like name brand accessories from shoes to pocket books.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
You can sell your items there as well as buy items. Authenticity is 100 guaranteed. You receive 20.00 to sign up. Rodeo offers easy pay options. The website design allows you to sort by different designers, price, departments, brand and also condition, This I find to be great.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I like the sorting option for the items. I do not like the footer of the page. It seems too busy or cramped up. Easy returns should be listed with all other options under the shipping info instead of in big letters and in a separate box. I do not like the phone number listing in the lower left hand corner with the transparent “e”.
What do you think of the sign up process? Sign up process is fairly simple.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I feel that the cart should be the last item on the page and not a different color than the rest of the text. My account should be separated from the store tabs.

The site sells designer shoes, hand bags clothing and accessories. It is a resaler that seems to provide a variety of brands.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
Attractive and clean lay-out. Images are well sized in an easy to view out lay. Images on main image box switch a little too fast to really take in what is being offered. Fonts are a bit small. Navigation is easy, though load-up times feel slower then it should be.Â
The pull down menus make it easy to view what brands are available, though come across as low end (a sea of grey). Options to search by brand, price and other elements excellent feature to have. Information on items is good and seemingly complete. Photos provide a good perspective of items, magnification nice, especially with more detailed items such as jewelry.
Having ability to open and close ‘recently viewed items’ allows easy comparison between items and reminds you of what you’ve already seen, however, limited to only four items.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
Downers: The speed the product images switch on the main page is too fast. Fonts are small. Pull down menus do not look ‘cheap’ in relation to the items sold by the site.
Uppers: Navigation and ease of use. Variety of images for products, and image magnification neat option. Sign up straight forward.
What do you think of the sign up process?
Having to create an account to make a purchase is a bit of a downer. It implies exclusivity and commitment are needed even if you with to purchase just one item. This would make me seek other means of purchasing an item from this site. At the same time, these options are attractive for someone who plans to make multiple purchases over time from this site. The procedures seem straight forward, like any other account sign up.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Live help phone number did not work (‘call cannot be completed as dialed’ — I tried three times to make certain I had it right). Site works on various web browsers (tested on Safari, FireFox, Explorer, Chrome on both Mac and Windows XP and Vista computers).
What do you think the site is about?
After a brief review of the homepage of this site, it is easy to see that it is a consignment site to sell luxury designer clothes, accessories, and other items.
What do you find bothersome?
The tabs across the top could be a little bigger. The View Cart looks good but the rest of the tabs get lost. The grey tones throughout the site however cause it to look a little on the bland side which is not what I would expect from a designer site.
The percentage that is required for a down payment on easy pay is also only listed on part of the items.
What do you like?
I like the multiple pictures that show all the details of the items. It really helps to be able to see exactly what you are getting especially when purchasing used items. I also like the fact that you can search for items based on Price, condition, etc. I also like the different pay options that are listed as available.Â
It is also beneficial that the easy returns at the bottom is large and easy to find. Some website offer 100% customer satisfaction but when you try to find the return process for an item it is hidden and hard to find. Having the icon larger tells the customer that you really are in the business of customer satisfaction.
What do you think of the sign up process?
I think the overall sign up process is pretty basic and straight forward.Â
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have
Overall I think this site is simple and easy to use. I do not however feel that it has the designer feel. Possibly changing the color tones a bit or adding in some gold tones with the purple and eliminating the grey tones might be beneficial to the overall appearance.
Visit https://www.shoprdr.com/Default.asp. Spend no more than 30 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
In the first 20 seconds after clinking on the link, I thought that the site was about a place where people can go to buy gently used luxury items like purses and clothing at reasonable prices.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
I notice at the bottom of the home page had the BBB icon and that the website has verified security which is a big plus when you are shopping online. Also, I love the fact that people can sell any gently used item to make a quick buck. The website has cool deals and savings; even receiving $20 for a new account bonus is pretty neat as well.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
What I have found that was a little bothersome was that I didn’t see an actual address of the company’s location. What I did like is that it has live help.
What do you think of the sign up process?
For what I’ve seen, I think that the sign up process is simple. Its great that the line is secure with “https:”. And I love the fact that it has only one password to enter.

I really do like the whole layout and design of the website. Luxury Connections have nice items to offer and at reasonable prices for name brand luxury items. Other than not seeing an address, I thought that the website was nice. I probably would purchase something in the near future : )
What do you think the site is about?
The website sells authentic items on consignment and at resale and has been around for 10 years. The website appears to move very fast and showing items like name brand accessories from shoes to pocket books. I felt it was too fast but then again, It did catch my eye and I was able to see many items quickly.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
You can sell your items there as well as buy items. Authenticity is 100 guaranteed. You receive 20.00 to sign up and I find that to be a large sign up bonus. Rodeo offers easy pay options which is always a plus, especially when selling high end items. The website design allows you to sort by different designers, price, departments, brand and also condition, This I find to be well designed.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I like the sorting option for the items. I do not like the footer of the page. It seems too busy or cramped up. Easy returns should be listed with all other options under the shipping info instead of in big letters and in a separate box. I do not like the phone number listing in the lower left hand corner with the transparent “eâ€.
What do you think of the sign up process?
Sign up process is fairly simple and 20.00 bonus is always nice.

I feel that the cart should be the last item on the page and not a different color than the rest of the text. My account should be separated from the store tabs. The order just doesn’t appear correct.

Rodeo Drive Resale is a luxury brand fashion brokerage that specializes in authentic courture handbags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, clothing and more. The company targets folks in high end designer clothes at low prices.
I really liked the Home page except for all the mutilple links that you can click on. Maybe a good idea to redesign it to condense it some so you don’t have to go into each individual link to find what you’re looking for. The Live Help section is nice. It gives confidence to customers that help is available, but it doesn’t mention whether or not help is available 24 hrs or not by phone or email. As a customer this would be important.
The News Letter link is a good idea. This will keep customers abreast as to what to events and changes within the company. As a new customer customer there’s a good chance that I would check out the Archives section. Nice to know what’s been said about Rodeo Drive Resale and maybe list any type of awards it may have received. The signup process was easy and not painful. I really like the fact that it didn’t ask for your credit card information right away. Another thing that I liked was the fact that you can easily find any type of information regarding your account on the links up top.
As a whole I liked this website and with a few adjustments here and there it would be almost perfect.

> I like the design and the arrangement of the links. It’s just that it needs more editing so that we’ll notice it first hand. The white font is just so plain I think. It needs brighter color since the background is somewhat dark. And I think the links will be better if you highlight it whenever the mouse pointer hover on it.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
> I don’t really find it bothersome but it simply cought my attention the lady on the bottom left with the signage that says “Live Help Offline. Click to Email” I’m used to seeing things like “Contact Us” A simple plain text link that directs me to an email template that I can fill out whenever I have something to ask and right at the bottom is the number for the live support. And one more thing. Αt the bottom of the page. The phone number that says “1-888-My-Resale” The letter E on the word “RESALE” is fading out. I just want to point that out.
What do you think of the sign up process?
> The sign up button is not so visible. You still need to click on “My account” before you could sign up. I think you should have a login bar maybe at the top right corner of the page. Saying Username: and Password: and a sign up botton at the bottom of those fields. Anyway, the sign up process was easy. And it was safe since the site was using secure server.

>I don’t have much to say since the page was good. The products are good and if I’m only into these kind of stuff I’ll definitely rely on this site to buy products not only because it was secure and we can use paypal and credit cards but I simply like how the website attracts me with the appearance and arrangement. A few suggestions though. Maybe change the lady icon on the bottom left corner of the screen. Change it to a text link or something else. Put a login fields at the top right corner so that you could help new comers to sign up easily. I also like to commend you putting the important links at the bottom saying “About Us” And “Help” those are usually being left out by web makers.
Â
Overall. The website was well made. I really love the color and the arrangement and the process. In short. I like the overall website.

The site appears to sell used luxury apparel and accessories.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
Style-wise, the site appears somewhat dated and “cheap” overall. The purple background and heavy use of purple in the color theme, along with the frequent use of Times New Roman for text, and the somewhat unsightly row of credit card and merchant association logos on the bottom of the home page, all make the site seem like one that aspires unsuccessfully to be seen as high class and legitimate.
I think the pages with different categories of items are helpful, and I like the large, clear product images on each category page, but the text on these pages is poorly formatted: the product titles are all uppercase and bold, which makes it hard to read and easy to overlook. It would be helpful if the text was displayed in different font sizes, with the product titles being slightly larger in size than the text for the prices.
The individual product pages are a bit of a mess. Even though the product descriptions are highly informative, they’re rendered in a tiny font, and the tabs on these pages (such as “Description”, “Size & Measurement Help”, etc.) are hard to see.
The “You might also like…” results on the right side of the product pages look like ads, and are easy to overlook. There again, however, the product titles are listed in all capital letters, which is hard to read.
At the bottom of the product pages, the “Browse more products in this category” links are not marked as links, and there are so many links provided in this section that it’s confusing.
Â
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
The row of links on the top of each page is not visible enough: the links are in Times New Roman and very small, and they are not underlined or otherwise marked to indicate that they’re links.
The search box on the top right of each page is helpful, although the orange “Free Shipping” image the the left of it is hard to read against the purple background, and doesn’t look like a link.
On the home page, the large image slideshow that takes up most of the home page seems like wasted space to me, and it’s confusing because, depending on which image is being shown, clicking on the space redirects me to one of several different pages on the site.
My eyes completely glazed over the “Sign Up for a New Account/Get $20” image on the right side of the home page, and there’s nothing to indicate that the image is clickable. Similarly, with the “Sell Your Items” image, I wasn’t expecting the image to be a link, and the page I’m redirected to is somewhat hard to read.
The newsletter sign up area on the home page is easy to see, but the text “new arrivals, private events & more” is poorly formatted. “New arrivals, private events and more” would be more professional. After entering my email address to sign up for the newsletter, I’m redirected to a large, clunky page that requires me to enter my email address again (why?), and gives me four different types of emails to opt-in for, which seems excessive. I also have to choose my preferred email format, and there’s a “Cancel” button on the bottom of this page, which seems useless. I can just close the window if I want to abandon the newsletter sign-up process, and I did.
I like the list of links on the bottom of each page, although I’m baffled by the “Recently Sold” page. Is this page necessary? Why would users want to see items that are now sold out? That doesn’t quite make sense to me.
I appreciate the company’s toll-free phone number listed clearly on the bottom of the page, although the “Live Help” button contains a typical generic stock photo, which seems unprofessional, and as I’m looking at the site — at 2:30 p.m. EST on a Wednesday — the Live Help link says “Offline”. If Live Help isn’t online on an average weekday afternoon, that makes me doubt the legitimacy of the site somewhat.
The “Easy Returns” image on the bottom of each page is very easy to overlook. At first I thought it was an advertisement.
What do you think of the sign up process?
First, in the sign up process, I’m asked to provide my email address twice. Why is that necessary, exactly? I entered my email address incorrectly in the “Type it again” field, and I received an error message at the top of the page saying ‘”Password” and “Type it again” must be the same, please try again.’ That message should really contain 2 sentences, like: ‘”Password” and “Type it again” must be the same. Please try again.’ Otherwise it looks unprofessional.
A message on the sign up page also says “New to Rodeo Drive Resale Get started below…” The ellipsis at the end of the sentence looks unprofessional, and there should be a period between “Resale” and “Get”. Little details like that really make a difference in user’s perception of a Web site.
Also on the sign up page, the message above the password says “This will be your ONLY Rodeo Drive Resale password..” One period is sufficient for the sentence, and having two periods looks both unprofessional and slightly menacing, as though something unknown might happen to my password.
After entering my password, my instinct was to click on the “Easy Returns” image at the bottom of the page. I didn’t immediately see the “Continue” image on the right.
On the second page in the sign up process, I see a message saying “Enter a new shipping address…” First, the ellipsis at the end of the sentence looks unprofessional, and it would seem to make more sense to say just “Enter a shipping address”, since I’ve never entered a shipping address here before.
The forms on this page are mostly straightforward, but the State selector is odd: why is this form listed after the Country selector, and why does it say “Then, Select State”? That is odd and unexpected.
The page I’m directed to after sign up has several tables with links, although they don’t look linkable as, again, they are not formatted to look like links. Also, the titles of these tables (“My Selling Account”, “My Buying Account”, etc.) are very hard to see, as they are gray against a dark gray background. The “LOG OUT of your account” link on the bottom of this page is also easy to overlook, and seems oddly placed. Wouldn’t it be better as a button placed somewhere near the top of the page?
Also, after signing up, I’ve received no email message confirming my registration. That’s something I expect after registering at a site, and makes the site seem more legitimate to me.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Most of the pages on the site have at least two different font styles. That makes it look somewhat amateur. A consistent font display across the entire site would be helpful, and less reliance on text displayed in all capital letters and bold formatting would make the site look much more professional.
The product pages and the pages linked from the bottom of the site (“About Us”, “Shipping Info”, etc.) all contain text that is somewhat small and hard to read, especially in large chunks, and most of these pages incorporate heavy use of bulleted lists, which is good when used sparingly, but on this site it seems to be used excessively.
Across the entire site, most of the links and clickable images are not marked as links, which is consistently confusing. And again, the dark purple theme of the site seems to hinder it greatly.
Overall, this site has a solid design, and With a few minor style and content changes, it would likely be significantly more appealing for users.

Rodeo Drive Resale is an exciting site that allows people to buy and sell gently used designer items.

I really like the brand logo, it is bold and very unique! The deep purple color is very eye catching and really gives a luxiourious feel to the site.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

I really like how the white looks on the purple, however I think the link categories should be bold or bigger to really pop.
I also like detailed descriptions of the items, however the font seems a bit small. Â
The order of the links is odd. I feel like the categories people will visit most should be from left to right.
What do you think of the sign up process?

At first I had a hard time trying to find the sign up button. Once I did I was directed to a new page that had a picture of two women pulling each others hair that was a bit weird. But once I thought about it, it made little sense. The text is white and italics which is very hard to read.

I do like how they include an original price, a sale price and a savings price. The items are still a bit pricey for me, but you see how much you can save it sometimes justifies the purchase!
I dont like how the phone number is… it bothers me that there is no E at the end of resal…
The view cart button is in the middle of the top categories, it should be at the end.
