Feedback sought:

1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?

2) Was the value proposition clear? Do you feel the need to try it?

3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

  1. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?

Even though I am not familiar specifically with Slack or Hipchat, your home page is very clear as to its purpose. The coloring is good. I get the robot.

If I were to make any additions, they would be:

    * Include “Slack” and “Hipchat” in the tag: “Let scrumbot gather data from your team and summarize it . . .”

    * Make a bit better case for why this is needed. What I mean is expressing the benefit. This is the emotional tug that gets people to buy. For instance, a brief video of life without Scrumbot and life with. How are the daily scrums without Scrumbot and how are they with? Could be an opportunity to include humor in the before Scrumbot section.

    2) Was the value proposition clear? Do you feel the need to try it?

Yes, the value proposition is clear.

    * Scrumbot is specifically for development teams that use Slack or Hipchat

    * It is of value for teams that work remotely

    * It is helpful for the start-up CEO or head of the team who no longer has the time to know everything that’s going on.

“Need” to use it? Not need. Interested in learning more.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

Knowing me, if I were using Slack or Hipchat, I would most likely have developed a system for gathering data. Whether it would be adequate or anywhere near as efficient as Scrumbot, I don’t know.

On the surface though, it does seem worth to advantage of the free trial. There is nothing to lose, efficiency to gain.

    4) What would stop you from using this service? What worries you or prevents you from trying it?

Worries? Security would be one. If this information is on the internet, is it secure?

Another reason I might not want to use it is if I already have a system in place that my team and I are satisfied with.

The pricing. I see that it’s $49. Is that a month? A day, a week, a year? That could make a different, although, I suspect it’s $49 a month, which would be reasonable.

Looking at the pricing page, there is something that would stop me: having to give my credit card at the start of the free trial:

    * I don’t know you. How do I know that this isn’t a scam to get my credit card number?

    * I really don’t like when companies do this. It seems like a way of getting paid for at least one month, since so many people will forget to cancel before the trial is over. This frequently is enough to stop me from using a service.

Overall, this seems to be an excellent idea. Good luck!

  2. 1) Look around the home page- what is your initial impression of what you see? The homepage is very attractive. All the eye catching color and ease of navigation make me more curious as to what Scrumbot is used for. Nothing confusing to try to figure out on my own and very easy to sign up for the newsletter without having to navigate off the homepage.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you
were looking for? Was anything confusing? Alright, so I was looking for a contact us part of the site because this would be very important to someone if the had a question about the product. I did find it at the bottom of the site where it read “drop us a line at…” it was easy to find this, however; it could have been made easier if it were up higher on the website or even it it showed up twice. Making it stand out in green color made it a lot easier to find, too.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell
us why (or why not)? After answering these two questions I am very encouraged to create a new account just to find out more about this product. Software dev. is very hard and if I had help with that I would feel more empowered with my idea and business plan.

4)4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service.
Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why? So i found this site: https://agilemethodology.org/ It offers help and training courses for people interested in this work but I found a big problem with it. It doesn’t offer to directly help you with Agile like Scrumbot does. The site is bland and unattractive. I would prefer Scrumbot over the competition any day. Another reason why is because if you’re a busy person that doesn’t have the time to go to these training sessions then they are useless to you and just having someone directly help you is so much easier.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have. All in all I had a great time navigating the menus and finding out what the site represented in terms or product. This will aid a lot of people the have a full time job and are still trying develop their own software. people will find everything easy to use and contacting the team even easier. I Love the design of the website because it’s such a modern looking website that’s built for the future.

  3. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?

When I look around the homepage my first impression is that ScrumBot is a program suitable for team leaders to make their work easier by organizing data from their team members. My other impression is that the software works with two other services that is; slack and hip chart. Scrolling downwards one is able to tell that team members also get to use the ScrumBot service ,and that there is a free version clients can try out before spending their money. However, the homepage has got a little bit too much content and one has to scroll all the way down to get all the information there is.

    2) Was the value proposition clear? Do you feel the need to try it?

The value proposition is loud and clear. After clicking the ‘PRICING’ tab, its clear that ScrumBot is paid for once a month for every channel and that not all team members are ought to be paid for. I would feel the need to try it once I sample the free trial and find it suitable for use.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

Yes, I am encouraged to create a new account, I am also encouraged to subscribe although the subscribing option looks like a pop-up and am likely to ignore it. I would definitely sign up for a free trial especially due to the fact that it generates daily reports on top of making work easier.

    4) What would stop you from using this service? What worries you or prevents you from trying it?

What worries me is that to be able to use ScrumBot I’l need to work with Hipchat or Slack which I may not have or may not be ready to work with. This is reason enough to make me stop using this service.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

Very distinct and clear contents. If possible move the subscribe option from the top most part of the homepage and incorporate it within the homepage. Maintain the green color on the icons on top of “Works inside Slack & HipChat”, “Amazing for remote teams”, and “Save crazy time” otherwise they look like hyperlinks to a particular page. Also, if possible I think there is a need to work with ScrumBot without having to use Slack or hipchart. If possible I’d like to use ScrumBot as a lone service without the need for Slack or Hipchat.
