  1. Visit https://www.shopwatchbuy.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

My inital impression of the site and what it’s about is, users can upload videos of their existing products, either using Youtube videos or any other video they use to market on hand. Potential customers visit the site and are able to watch videos of products they are interested in and purchase the item apparently on the site. At this point, it’s not clear if you are directed to the company’s own website for purchase or you may buy the item off this site itself, just by doing a quick look at the homepage.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

The homepage to me seems a bit busy and over filled with elements. I like the fact the site has a lot of information on the homepage concerning what the site is about, however, it might be a good idea to take it off the bottom of the page, and give it its own page. This will make the homepage less long, and the need to scroll down so far to read it will be gone.

I find there is a lot of information on what the site is for, both on the homepage and on the About Us page, its not really necessary to have this in both places, it feels redundant somewhat. It’s good to have the information definitely, but maybe a blurb on the homepage to entice users so they understand the use of the site, maybe a tagline or something, and more informaton on the About Us page about what the service provides.

I am easily able to find legal information, partner information and even news on the site by clicking on the easy to read buttons on the left hand panel. The blue color is nice, but perhaps a bit larger font for these sections, or maybe a black font for easier reading, the blue after awhile tends to bother the eyes.

It’s pretty easy to find links for FAQ, Login, Register, Pricing amongst others at the bottom of the page, but perhaps pricing, register and maybe FAQ could have links at the top banner too, so potential clients and customers can easily see it without having to scroll down the page. The colors of the page are nice, not too overpowering and they do stand out well.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

The main thing I find somewhat bothersome, is the redundant information on homepage in orange, and also on the About Us page. I do see it’s not completely all the same information, but a lot of it is, and it makes the homepage a bit too cluttered. The video on the page is fine, but the site looks a bit too full and some information could get lost in the shuffle.
I like that there appears some bigger name stores using the service. I see Zappos for instance under clothing and accessories, so it does make a potential customer trust the site more. I like the idea of watching demonstations of products and hearing what is said about them, it gives and advantage over just seeing images.
What do you think of the sign up process?

The sign up process was quick and easy; very fast and I like that I didn’t have to go to my email to activate the account.
Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

I would not sign up for a free account as a merchant at this time, as I do not have any online stores, nor offline ones at the moment. I would not need this service as a merchant. I might sign up for a free account as a customer, if I had to purchase these products from the site itself, however, if I trusted the company site more, I would just head over to their own site to purchase my items. I would need to learn more and to trust this site before using it to purchase items.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like ebay.com and youtube.com?

In my opinion, it doesn’t really compare to ebay.com or YouTube.com really. Youtube has some videos with products on it, but for the most part many people aren’t going to trust it to purchase items from. It’s really more of a fun site to watch videos on for me. Ebay.com is more of an auction house where you bid on items, even though you can outright purchase from stores too. Ebay has been around for sometime, and has garnered a lot of trust in the industry. This site really only compares in the fact that it allows companies to sell their items and upload videos of the items for customers to watch. This site is different from the others, and is more comparable in some respects to QVC or shopping channel type of stations.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I do like the idea of this site, and would potentially use it often before buying a new product. I like that company’s have the ability to upload videos or ‘commericals’, demonstrations and information on their products, so customers may see how any new item works. The only things I can think of to change would be taking the redundant information and tightening it up, and maybe adding a tagline to let customers know what the site does in a few simple words. Those that are interested, will research more in depth for information.

  2. Visit https://www.shopwatchbuy.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? It looks to be a site similar to both eBay and Youtube maybe.  Where I can sell or buy, but with the help of video….

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site. Well, to start off with, I feel that the landing page is a little overwhelming with too much information.   It’s simply impossible for me to focus on one main area of the site at this point.   The first thing I do is to click on the video on the right hand side of the screen.   I really like this idea of presentation.  It’s a great way of “trying out the product”.    I continue around the website.  I want to note that I love the color scheme.  The About Us tab opens to a very well explained presentation of your site.   Great use of color for the fonts, very clear font used.   I continue through the tabs on the left side, Great Disclosure, Privacy Policy and Terms.   I like the idea of it being Free to Join.  I continue through all the tabs at the top.  I really like the Buy and Sell pages.

I am just concerned at this point about your landing page.  To me, it’s too overwhelming of an initial presentation of your site.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like? As mentioned above, I like the layout, I like the look and feel.  As for the landing, or opening page, I am overwhelmed with too much information.   I would actually probably delete everything on the bottom of the page after Video Marketing and Video Shopping and add that to the About Us page or FAQ page.

What do you think of the sign up process? It’s very easy.   Within seconds of signing in, I was able to jump right in and start selling or buying.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why? I think that I would sign up to try the site.  I frequent eBay and other sites and feel that with the right amount of exposure and social networking, this site could really become a great selling site!

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like ebay.com and youtube.com? I really do like the concept and feel that it could be very competitive with the above-mentioned sites.  I’m not fond of the landing page though, as mentioned above.  I definitely feel that cutting out some of the unnecessary clutter is crucial to how others will perceive the site.  I don’t get a very professional feel at this time.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have. As previously mentioned, I feel that the text material at the bottom of the landing page should be moved to perhaps a FAQ page to declutter the landing page a little bit.   I like the video and like the fact that the vision presentation is well displayed on this particular page, so I would really suggest you not move that around.  However, if the text area is moved to a FAQ page, this too could be arranged  a little different to make it more user friendly.  When things are clumped together, it tends to overwhelm the visitor who might not have the patience to continue around the site.

I feel it’s a great concept and a great site and I will definitely be looking forward to using it.

  3. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
Looks like an eBay type of online listing site, but instead of the traditional text listings with images, these are video listings.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
I’ll start with the home page, which is quite impressive. It’s very much in the style of similar online marketplaces like eBay and Amazon, so it has a familiarity about it that feels “right.” You have a cute logo and a nice use of blue and orange throughout the page. My eyes are immediately attracted to the clickable image in the upper left corner, which communicates clearly and succinctly what ShopWatchBuy is all about. The video to the right confirms that. (And it’s a great video, by the way–very professionally put together! However, I was thrown by the listing right beneath it. I’d suggest you eliminate that since it seems like it has something to do with the video but doesn’t.) Your “Featured Product Videos” and “Featured Seller Videos” seem to be in the right place, although I would create a sidebar for the “Top 20 Product Video Categories.” Otherwise, visitors may not scroll down and will miss them. Below the fold, you have a lot of copy, but it’s well written, and I honestly don’t think people will mind scrolling down to read it if they’re interested in the site. However, I notice you have some links in the footer that really should be in the navbar–FAQs, Glossary, Pricing, Blog, and News. All of those things are pretty important and should really be accessible from the top of the page as well as the bottom. I’d like to see Contact Us up at the top, too, but it’s ok to leave it at the bottom if you must. On the other hand, Site Map certainly doesn’t need to be taking up space at the top, and even About Us could be moved to the bottom if you’re cramped for space in the navbar.

I skimmed About Us, News, Contact Us, FAQs, Glossary, and Blog, and couldn’t find any problems other than a few spelling errors. All of these pages are very well written and have a professional feeling. I especially appreciate the Glossary page because lots of sites introduce new terms and expect visitors to become instantly familiar with them, so this is a big help.

I was surprised that the Help page was really more of a hub page with links to all the others. That isn’t really necessary if you’ve listed your important pages in the home page navbar, so I’d limit the Help section to pages that really are about help with using the site, specifically How It Works, Video Help, SWB Videos, and Support. I checked out these four pages, and I love that users can either read about your site or learn about it through video–great for both learning styles. I also appreciate the Video Help page links to products and services that can help me create a professional video. As for Support, I hope you intend to respond quickly to customer inquiries because if I was paying for this, I’d ideally like a phone number to call, and since you don’t have that, I’d expect very fast email response, minimum. This isn’t such a big deal for nonpaying customers, but again, if I’m paying, I want good customer service.

Next, I visited Pricing. Your pricing chart is easy to understand, and I especially liked those rollover pop-ups that explain each feature. Too many sites have pricing charts that list all these endless features that really mean nothing to a newbie, so it’s nice to see a concrete explanation of each one. However, this is the first I realized that Video-Boost and Traffic-Boost are only available in the Platinum package. That wasn’t clear to me anywhere else on the site, and I feel let down. The Platinum package is quite expensive if you’re not already raking in substantial business.

Finally, I tested the actual shopping experience by selecting a category to search in. You can imagine my surprise when my search returned a page of listings that had absolutely nothing to do with the category I had selected! Then I tried entering a specific keyword and had much better success with that. I clicked on a product to watch the video and was impressed that there wasn’t any lag time for loading. Next, I tried to use some of the filters, such as “Top Rated,” “Location,” and “Price” to narrow my search. Unfortunately, I found it somewhat confusing that there appear to be two sets of filters–one that applies to all products in general and one that applies only to the search at hand. I was never exactly sure which of the filters was in effect at any given time or how to set them back to default.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
    Bothersome
–The fact that some really useful informational pages are not accessible from the home page navbar.
–The many pages listed under Help which really have nothing to do with help.
–The lack of phone- or chat-based customer service.
–The seemingly intentional failure to mention that Video-Boost and Traffic-Boost are only available with the most expensive plan anywhere other than the Pricing page.
–The weird glitches with the category search and the confusion with the filters.

    Like
–The site in general. It’s very well constructed.
–Your service in general. It’s a brilliant idea!
–The product listings. They look really good.
–The resources you offer for amateurs creating videos. I’d like to see more of that actually. Some informational articles would be ideal.
–The extensive info you provide on your home page and in your FAQs, Glossary, and various Help pages.

What do you think of the sign up process?
    Very smooth and easy.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
    I did sign up.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like ebay.com and youtube.com?
Well, YouTube, as you noted yourself, really isn’t for selling, and right now, you’re offering something that eBay doesn’t, to the best of my knowledge. The only advantage to eBay I can really see is that eBay has more guarantees in place for buyers and sellers who are victims of fraud or have other disputes. I see you really don’t want to get involved in that. That’s okay, but you should understand that people may be more reluctant to purchase from your sellers without any such protections in place. It would be nice if you allowed sellers to transfer credibility ratings from eBay or Amazon, which would help to increase buyer trust. But where I really think you stand out from YouTube and eBay is with your Platinum package. YouTube and eBay are very DIY. Users have to work hard to get attention. ShopWatchBuy provides quite a bit of marketing for those who are willing to pay the price. As I understand it, even free accounts at your site can take advantage of the “Visit Store” button, which is nice.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I’m impressed with ShopWatchBuy, both as a web site and as a service. Your web site, for the most part, looks and feels very professional. The service you offer is genius! I don’t know why no one thought of this before. For those who can afford them, the marketing services that are part of your Platinum plan could quite possibly turn small businesses into empires! Even individuals who can’t afford the pricey stuff should benefit from the “Visit Store” button. Plus, the video sales format is just so much more dynamic and appealing than text-based ads. I think you’ve really caught the wave of the future!

My one main concern with ShopWatchBuy right now is that the search feature seems a little buggy, and the filters are confusing. As soon as you clear that up, I think you’ll have a wonderful site here. I could see you growing to rival eBay.

  4. Feedback sought:

Visit https://www.shopwatchbuy.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

I think this site is about buying and selling products online.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

Various elements commented on in the ‘additional comments’ section.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

There is waaaaay too much text in paragraph form on your homepage. You need vital points emphasized above the fold, but you do not need paragraphs of text. This will not be read by potential visitors.

What do you think of the sign up process?

    Sign up is straightforward.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

No. Your homepage/website does not convince me that you are better than the alternatives (ebay, amazon)

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like ebay.com and youtube.com?

ebay has been alround for a while and has had time to build and promote their brand.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

If your selling point that your video page also includes reference links, this needs to be a selling point at the top.

Your iPad “does not support flash” argument on your homepage is no longer valid. I personally have friends with iPads and it will run flash with a browser download (but not on Safari). Everyone I know with an iPad is getting this if they haven’t already.

The URL shortening paragraph on homepage is not a selling point. I would not use your service for this feature and it would not be an incentive to use it – therefore remove this information. Not necessary.

Under the video shopping section, you say your service is the “QVC” or “HSN” of online buying. This sounds like you could use this as a motto or slogan: ShopWatchBuy is the QVC of online buying!

The top right corner says Free to Join in Green, and Upload your Video in red. I don’t think it is necessary to say Upload your video. To a visitor, this is confusing. You aren’t Youtube, and no one would just upload a video to a new site when we are trying to figure out what you offer. Free to Join is okay, but Upload your video in red is not needed.

To the right of your banner “how does this work…” you have random videos posted of products. I don’t think you should have product videos in this valuable space that should be reserved for you to tell us who you are. I think a “how ShopWatchBuy works” video would be more appropriate. Then you can keep products exclusively behind product page link. There are just too many featured products references on your homepage. Have one section, charge those people more, but don’t have two separate sections and then a random video in your top of the homepage.

  5. Visit https://www.shopwatchbuy.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

From the title i get the idea that it is a site which allow visitor to buy, search for and view for things that they looking for.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

When i first visit, i saw the how does this work explanation. The color used is not bright enough to caught my attention on it. I think that the explanation played an important role in marketing your site by allowing the visitor to know that what is the best part of your site which is the video marketing part. I suggest you use a darker color to make it more noticeable. Then i read the explanation about the got something to sell and the want to shop description, For the got something to sell explanation, you listed the price, i suggest you put a free trail instead of listing the price. When people sees something that they have to paid to use, it will change their mood of using the site. You can list the price at the other page. I viewed the video at the right side, it is a good example, you can use videos that does not longer than 2-3mins video to avoid people get bored of watching the video. For the homepage, at the below part, which is about the video description part, i suggest you can put all the video shopping, video marketing at a page called how it works. People would not want to see a too wordy page at first. You can display more sample product on the homepage. example the most popular product. I suggest you put the free to join link in the how does this work section. It would be convenient for the visitor who interested to click on it and it could attract visitor to join. When people see free thing they will want to try it.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

What i find bothersome is the homepage is a little complicated for me. Which it the description at the below of the page. What i like is that the page allow visitor to direct search for item that they looking for using the search engine you provided. Also i like the contact us field which allow people to directly ask any question and send it to you. I also like you give the video sample.

What do you think of the sign up process?

The process is easy and simple.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

Yes only if i want to find something that is expensive which i need more detail and review on it. People who like to shopping online will definitely like this kind of shopping experience.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like ebay.com and youtube.com?

This is a all in one e-shopping site for me. It combine both the ebay and youtube benefit into one site. Which is really a good concept and it’s really convenient.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I like the concept of the site which is combining the video and selling concept. I suggest that you can provide a simple step by step of how it works slide shows. It will make the site more interesting and allow the visitor to easily understand what the site is about and what is the benefit of the site through the slides. You can list down what is the purpose of your site and why people should use your site in the homepage. Maybe it can be included in the slide shows. It will help you in giving a positive image for the visitor. It will make the site looks more professional. You also can have the badges or icon for the payment method which is for the transaction safety. It will gain visitor trust and confidence toward your site if you have the badges such as paypal, alertpay, credit card and the safe pay guaranteed sign.

  6. Visit https://www.shopwatchbuy.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

Shopwatchbuy is a platform for buy and sell stuff, where products are introduced by videos instead of text and graphics. Buyers then can learn more about the products before making a purchase.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

Why I can rate both the product and the video without logged in? I had neither purchased that item. Also, I doubt the necessity of rating videos. The product and sales are the most important. Video is just a presentation of the product, I could have a great product, a bargain selling price but I just have an old phone so I can’t make stunning videos.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

I find there are too many things running on the frontpage and I don’t know where should I look at on my first visit. You may want to stress on the element where you think will immediately tell users what the site is about. There are just too many to read on the front page, and many elements, like the video marketing, video shopping, etc, should be migrated to a different page, for example by clicking a “learn more” button on the front page; and the ShopWatchBuy flow diagram should be shown at the upper sections of the page, or should be located in the buyer’s introduction page, this diagram is clear to understand and well drawn. Don’t put the Join button on the end of the page. You always want to get users register with you so move it to where everyone can see it.

This is a minor problem and just bothers me a little: on the menu bar on the top, when I hover on the tags I cannot read the words which I’m hovering on. You may modify the css a bit as to not to change the background color, just do the underline is okay.

Another suggestion for the menu bar is that I think the Shop and Sell tags didn’t stand out from the rest although you have colored them in red. For a normal marketplace most of the visitors will be shoppers, and as I see you have the search bar on the top all along, I can search for the products on the front page already; there may still be a percentage of Sellers, where they can post items and videos on the platform, it is a new procedure for them so a different link would be essential.

For the Login tag, I also don’t think it belongs on the menu bar. In fact for complicated sites like this, there could be several menu bars, for example an administration menu bar could be located on the top left with the Login, Logout, My Profile, Buy and Sell links; where another general menu bar like yours would include the home button, About us, contact us, help and faq links.

What do you think of the sign up process?

    It works smoothly.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

Well I’ve already signed up. But I won’t use your site very much. I’m a seller myself and I’m always looking for sites to promote my products. However there is no related products showed on your website. Even my products may be the only one, I doubt if there are customers searching for that type of products on your site. Nevermind that, I will surely add my product into your category once I know that you can help me to drive sales, I don’t mind paying a little to list the products too. Please work on the site. I don’t like to sell on ebay and I constantly am looking for sites which can substitute ebay, but currently none could, I’ve tried many others.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like ebay.com and youtube.com?

I think you have an innovative idea. But for some of the sellers like us it’s difficult for us to make a video on the product, which requires professional skills and time to make a good one. Bad videos just make customers don’t want our products, then I’d better go back to image and text.

There are quite a lot of product videos on youtube, but not all videos are on products, some maybe about funny acts or music videos. Your site solely stores product videos, the market is different. Product videos on youtube are there on youtube simply because youtube is one of the most visited site, and they can promote their products if more people can see them.

Ebay is an auction and buy/sell site. And your site focuses on the buy/sell of video products. I think you have got your niche right and the only important mission to work on now is to drive more traffic to your site.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

Is your slogan “Get Noticed. Drive Traffic. Grow Revenue” or “A New Way to Sell&Shop Online” otherwise? Please focus on one.

Marketing products by videos is a very good idea and your site seems to specify on this. But I feel that you had that taken too far away, for example allowing rating of videos, ranking videos, most viewed videos and most recent videos. Don’t forget the most important element is the sales of products and quality of products. People are here, I expect, are to buy or sell, but not watching videos, videos are just a way to help them to understand more about the product, and to drive audiences to purchase it from your site. I feel that you’re a little overdoing the video part.

  7. Visit https://www.shopwatchbuy.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

I take it that this is a shop at home website to get great bargans on different products, smilar to ebay and Amazon.  However, this website has a twist with using videos to promote the products as oppose to products descriptions.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

I think the front page is good at explaining what the website is all about.  But perhaps it has too much content.  Homepages can be tricky to create, you don’t want too little content but you also don’t want too much.  Thee is an about us tab on your menu, that goes into pretty much some of the information that is found on the homepage, might I suggest just leaving some of this informaton for this section only.  I like the video aspect of your website, I think its a great idea to use visuals to sell items.  People seem to be drawn to visuals, so using them is a great idea.  I also like the site map which tells you all the various locatins of the website, I wish more websites had this feature.  There are times when you want to contact a website and can’t find out how, you made this quite clear.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

As I stated above, I think there is too much content on the hompage, I like the top part of the homepage with the website menu bar on top then the fetured items as well as an introduction of what the website is for.  I also like the search menu being on top, take it from someone who knows when you go to a website such as this you have a particular item in mind, your website makes it easy to find.  But I don’t think most of the content at the bottom of the page is needed, the about us section already goes into this, if someone wanted to find out more about all of this they can go to your menu bar, and head over to the about us section.  Also, it wasn’t easy to find the registratin area, why isn’t this in the menu like the log in area.

What do you think of the sign up process?
I found it somewhat confusing, are we signing up to sell products, or to buy them.  Some of us don’t want to sell but buy items, but is seem like this area was just for selling.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

Well I’m not a seller of items, but if I was I might consider your website.  I think using videos to sell items is a great idea.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like ebay.com and youtube.com?

Well this website of course is different then ebay in the sense that it does allow video to sell items, and youtube of course isn’t a place to buy items.  Your webstie is like taking both these websites and combining them to make one website to sell items in a new way.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

Well over all I must say that you do have a great website, there are just a few things I would change.  First of all make the hompage simpler, the top stuff is great, but some of the stuff at the bottom isn’t necessarily needed on the homepage.  Also, the registration seems to only be aimed at selling items not buying unless there is another place to register as a buyer, which I am missing.  In which case this needs to be made more clear to potential customers.

  8. How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like ebay.com and youtube.com?Visit https://www.shopwatchbuy.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

It looks like a really professional craigslist site or an ebay store but without the bidding.  That was my gut reaction.

Now go to the site and make comments on the various elements of the site.

I have to say the elements are good but they are not put together well.  It seems alot of bunk if you look at the site initially, but once you fully examine each piece, there are more positive things to say about the site. “Featured product” should be displayed more prominently and “featured video” shouldn’t take up most of my viewing space.  I liked the highlighted tabs area. That drew me in.  I also like the box with the woman with the camera. That also grabs your eye. Seller videos?  Are they like commercials for the site?  I wouldn’t even click on them. They don’t look professional enough.  Maybe one should be already playing so I can see what’s going on.

What did you find bothersome? What did you like?

I didn’t like a whole lot about this site which is a shame because it’s a great idea.  I understand that it is a clearinghouse for small business owners but who checks on these people?  Are they reputable?  You can’t tell that at first glance.  It really didn’t excite me at all.  NOW…once you click into the site, it gets alot better. It seems more streamlined there are a ton of products.  Now, that is awesome.  That front page needs work.  Make it look more like it does once you start clicking around. I pressed ‘most viewed’ under videos and my whole opinion changed.

What do you think of the sign up process? I think it was clear and concise and very user friendly. kudos.

Would you sign up for a free trial? If not. why?  I am not interested in gathering more things in my house but if it were near the holidays and I came across the site I would consider it.

How do you think it compares to youtube and ebay? Well, just by going by the frontpage, youtube and ebay have you beat.  Once a person gets into the site, then it’s a different story. It looks alot better once you enter but the packaging needs work.
    Please add additional comments

Once you gain a little more focus on what the site needs to do for you, then you will have alot more success.   The front page will be your downfall.  People need to see what you have to offer.  I love the idea of an online mall, but I need to see what you have.  The frontpage is doing you no favors.

  9. Visit https://www.shopwatchbuy.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
I must that I didn’t get a clear a understanding verbally of what your site is about so….I think that your site allows you to watch what your buying via video.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
I think that your homepage is way to large. I think that much of the information you have needs to put on different pages making it easier to understand each bit of information. I think that the homepage should stop after the featured seller and the top 20. I like that your site seems very enagaging from the: colors nice contrast, the fun young lady centered with quick but important info and the vido to the side of that. It was a smart choice to have the join free sign a different color, it make it stand out from the rest of the site. I also like that you have a search box for that who are familiar with the site making it easy for users to just jump in a start looking around. I see that once your leave the homepage and go back the center picture changes, nice, it keeps the viewer engaged.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I would have liked to be able to read exactly what your site does without guessing in the slighest. That was a little confusing and could pontenially turn people away. I also assumed that the video on the page was a how to but it just shows different featured products. I think that if your going to put a video on your homepage that it should be about what your site does the tag line QVC and ebay meets Youtube is not that clear. One assumes that people are familar with each of these services/ sites. I was disappointed to see that I could click on the buttons that say start selling and and start shopping. I see that you have a free sign up but that you can get a money back gaurantee on selling products. I did not like that I didn’t see the pricing packages on your homepage. If your going to boast that you can buy and sell prodects then I shouldn’t have to search to find out much your pricing packages are.  I like that you have a person plans details under there account as as not to forget what that have to work within. I also like that you have a tab to upgrade. That’s a nice subtle but deliberate way of making people think of upgrading. I liked the site map because it gave me access to place where I find all of your pertinent information. I don’t think that you need a logout tab when you already one under the users name. Instead insert a pricing and contact tab.
What do you think of the sign up process?
The sign up process quit easy and I quickly recieved a confirmation email. However I didn’t like some fo the header on your email. Ex. Built for products no Kittens, On YouTube , you could literally get an overlay ad for your competitor (be careful not to sound like your slamming another site), I’m a Playa’s Player, Boost Babies….all these sounds like you have taken a a step down from professioanlism.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
    I would like both.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like ebay.com and youtube.com
I think that this doesn’t compare to youtube being that they are not a buying and selling site. What I like about ebay this that there sites lets your jump right into to selling without having to explain how your site works. It has fun look to it and it seems more engaging for a shopper. You immediately  see products to buy and things you have bought or looked at before. the appeal of ebay is that there sites doesn’t seem complicated right when you click on it. Your site seems to have to push for people to understand what you do when its quit simple. Sometimes simple is better.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
“The ShopWatchBuy marketplace is unique in that EVERY listing, no just some, has an associated video!” It seems you left out the “T” to make it “not just some”. I think that you need to stop making references to QVC and HSN because that makes me think that I should visit there site.

You put “Imagine walking into a store with NO salesperson to help you. That’s what most websites are like with just images and text. At ShopWatchBuy you can watch video of product reviews, product demonstrations or company videos. It’s sort of like QVC or HSN only on the Internet. You can also share videos, leave comments and add favorites. Join today!” I think a at portion of this text should have been somewhere on the top of the page. It’s catchy, understandable and after reading this I knew what your site did.

You also have a image at the very bottom of the page that I think that would replace the video you have at the top of the page with. I think that if you want to keep the video you should have a button to press and the video pops on the screen as a sample and yes it could change as you have it above with each product.

On your platinum package is the 75 the maximum listing that one can have or can you have more? If you have more than 75 will there be a price difference?

On the page where I can join you have a slot for a coupon code. What does that mean for a person just signing up for an account? Do you have a discounts for people selling items since that the only section where you charge users.

On your video store front making page you have a section where you can type information in ( it looks like a MS word  setup). I think that you should have that enlarge on it’s own page to better be able to see what your typing in. In addition you can barely see the features to click on because they are so dark.

I think that under your featured product videos you need to put the hottest and latest items people are buying. You want to makers see that you have the items that peole want to buy and that your video marketing strategy will make selling items better. I think that your site needs to find it’s own “name” in that you have three big name companies right on the header and you use them on your email and throughout your site. You needs to watch out  with teh company comparisons because it looks like you cant define your site on it’s own. I think you have a great site but it needs to be more simple in it’s approach.

  10. Visit https://www.shopwatchbuy.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
I thought the site was about buying items online after watching them on video from real customers who provided honest feedback.  The site looked like a community-driven website, which was my first reaction
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
There was too much information on this site (eg. too many buttons and items to click). The testimonials flickering on the screen seemed distracting to me.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I liked the colors on the website and the icons where very clear; the “Free Join” icon was appealing and very noticeable.  Some of the pictures of the people holding products seemed fuzzy; I would prefer to see clear pictures of people. I did not see any pictures of men with products or people of different enthnicities on this site.
What do you think of the sign up process?
Sign up process seemed very user-friendly and easy to sign up.  Simple fields for someone to fill out.
Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
I would sign up for a free trial and only sign up for a free trial and gage if this webste sustains my attention for 1 week – if not I would cancel my free trial
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like ebay.com and youtube.com?
Because time/ money is valuable to me – why not go on othe sites wigh upload quicker to preview products?
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
The About us link was interesting; I go to that link first to see what sites are about. The mission statement of this company does not interest me; I would suggest using a better action verb than “build”. QVC and eBay meets Utube: does this site have the authority to use other name brands in their tag line? This site claims this is great free advertising – what do I as consumer really get out of this to join? Do I get a discount if I have the most amount of videos loaded on this site? Again the homepage does not look crisp and clear to me or enough interest to pique my attention.

  11. Visit https://www.shopwatchbuy.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?
It appears the site is for shopping, and the products are advertised by video.
Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.
I think for many people, the site would strike them as very confusing initially, it being so overcrowded.  It might seem intimidating for people and cause them to move on with trying to figure out what the heck its about.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I think it is a good concept for a large audience of consumers , but  I feel strongly that the site and make it more pleasing to the eye definitely needs to be cleaned up too. The whole pitch needs to be more comprehensive and attractive to the eye.
What do you think of the sign up process?
From what I see it’s legit.
Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
No, looked at the prices and I know I can get the same products significantly more inexpensively. No sign up required.  I would rather go to the source and not waste time on such a spammy looking website.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like ebay.com and youtube.com?
The design of the site in question looks thrown together, while ebay.com and youtube.com have a clean, user friendly interface.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
The site simply looks like it could be deceiving.  That’s my honest feedback.  Revising the site and its information is all it would take to make this site grow in popularity (and revenue).

  12. Visit https://www.shopwatchbuy.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

The site is about selling and buying using video as the main sales tool.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

The first thing is that the home page is way way way to long. All the stuff under the featured seller would be much more effective if it was summarized into two paragraphs. One short paragraph for sellers with a
link to a page that provides the detail information. A second for purchasers with another link for detailed info.

The home page says start selling for as little as 99cents a month but the price says 3 video’s for free and then goes 9.99 for 10 video’s.This leaves me confused.

The about us page sounds like another sale pitch. When people are looking at about us pages they are generally trying to learn about the company. They want to know where and when the company got started. Where the idea came from, are you working with industry professionals, etc…

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

I went “shopping” for makeup. Tons of make up showed up but so did a number of exercise equipment items. Why are the in with the make up? They should be in health and wellness. These kinds of mistakes are bothersome.

I was also annoyed when I clicked on the under $25.  and was taken out of the make up and shown every single item the site has for under $25.I was looking for make up under $25. This was very annoying because I could not find what I was looking for. Perhaps subcategories would be helpful. For example under make up there would be foundation, blush, eye shadow, etc.. It would make the site more user friendly and maybe I wouldn’t want to click on he $25.and under link.

It took me a minute to find the pricing button way down at the bottom of the home page kinda hidden in all the other links. I don’t like having to hunt on of the most important pieces of info there is. I like the three free but I think a $5. level would be good too.
I like the video. It it what I expected to see on the about me page. I think you should tell me more about the founder and his background and all the work that’s been done to launch site. It shows commitment and belief in the website. People see these things and have a reason to believe in you and the site too.
I really like the way the privacy policy is laid out. The phone number is at the top and it clearly states the no spam policy.
What do you think of the sign up process?
The sign up process is quick and easy but why did the sight assume I was signing up to be a seller. It should say something like thank you for join joining shopwatchbuy are you interested in selling or buying or both. Ebay has millions of users who only shop on ebay and never sell a thing. I think the assumption people are joining to sell may turn some people off.
Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
First I’m confused. Why are you asking if I would try a trial account? Nothing on the website says anything about a trial account. It says I can have 3 free videos and I can start selling for as little as 99cents but I didn’t see anything that said free trial. I think I would try a free account when I see the categories getting more solid. I am somewhat hesitant because I own an antique shop and I see no categories that are relevant to me and my business. I looked at the memorabilia category and there are 2 DVD’s. Not exactly what I call memorabilia. It maybe that you don’t want to add this until you get on solid ground with the new stuff. Maybe a sister site for antiques and collectables would be in order.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors
    like ebay.com and youtube.com?
As far new things go I think you will out shine ebay. As far antiques and collectables go ebay beats you hands down. They cater to us just to keep the site spiced up with different things. Another thing ebay does that you guys don’t is have tutorials on how to make the best listing. I think some tutorials on what makes a good video would be in order here too. It seems like making a video would be no big deal but to someone who has never done it or thought about the advertising aspect of videos would find them useful.  I guess I don’t know how to compare you with youtube because I only watch fun videos there.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I think you have a great idea here but the site needs a bit of refinement before you go full scale. I hope you make some revisions and come back here for more input. What ever you do good luck with this.

  13. Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

The site is very busy. It seems you can upload videos of some kind.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like? The site seems busy. So much happening at one time. I do like that there are tabs so that you can search appropriately. I like that you can search for things to buy and you can entertain yourself with a video. I like that there is a help tab at the site map. There is a break down of what the site is about and what you can do there.

What do you think of the sign up process? The sign up process is very simple. I just had to put a username, my email and a password. Its very easy.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?Yes I would. I like the items and categories that I see and some of the prices are not bad.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like ebay.com and youtube.com? The difference that I see, from what I can see is that in ebay you do not view any videos and in youtube you are not purchasing anything. In Shopwatchbuy.com you can purchase an item on another website.

  14. What really impress me is the product featured video. I has a very clear message to what in the mind of every single individual that  will visit the site- to choose which of the product they would want and be seen at a very “clear cut” specification.

A very accurate design on its interface has added more cool features. I would never dilly -dally on deciding to sign-up a free account or a free trial, and by those attractive items shown on videos with matching complete explanation about the products you may want to see in details.

The only thing I could not agree is me just trying it without responding to go and buy, since at my 50’s I do not crave buying anything on-line. but if I may, I would rather go on this site than ebay or amazon and the likes.

  15. Visit https://www.shopwatchbuy.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

I immediately thought that the site was about selling and shopping on the internet.  It was a competitor with ebay in my mind.  Users could view videos and shop with ease without leaving their home.  Sellers could make bundles of extra cash to make bills.  An entire ebay like site existed and was full of products to benefit both sellers and buyers.  It seemed to be about competing with ebay or amazon.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

The home page was good but I would just put links on the bottom of it instead of explaining everything and putting a model of how the site works.  Maybe one of the links on the bottom of the page could just say how we work and then show the model once it is clicked on.  It seemed too complex at the bottom of the page.  It honestly kind of lost me.  The top part of the homepage is what I liked and it really grabbed my attention and made me want to use the site.  The sitemap tab was fantastic.  The login and help tabs looked ok.  I love how it says free to join on the top right of the homepage.  The about us page was great because it told me who you were and made me less suspicious about who I would give my information to.  I really did not see anything to correct in the buy tab.  I did not like how it said join today at the bottom of the page.  I would have rather seen it say register or enroll.  That  just makes it sound like I am registering in something and not joining something with obligations.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

I found all of the wording at the bottom of the page to be bothersome.  If I wanted to have that information, I would feel more comfortable just clicking on a link.  I also found it bothersome that it was saying no hidden fees at the top of the enrollment box.  If I am enrolling, I don’t want to stare at something about fees.  That would make me suspicious about the how your site works.

What do you think of the sign up process?

Registering was a cinch.  I could do it with ease.  I thought it was quick and easy which is what I prefer.  This is great for customers who do not have any patience or time.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

I would sign up for a free trial or account because I would like to use videos to sell products.  It just may be easier to sell to someone who already saw a video of the product.  Videos speak louder than words.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like ebay.com and youtube.com?

I think the site was on par with an ebay or a youtube.com by having such a new and different idea.  I do think that the site should of had somewhere where users can comment and interact easily.  This would give it a community and a more relaxed feeling.  I looked hard and it took a while to see where I could leave comments under the videos.  Maybe a tab at the top of the screen could lead to a community or forum.  It is a site that is based off of a new idea and it would be relating to really interact well with other members.  I did not feel as on ease as I would on an ebay or facebook.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I think the site has some great ideas but also has some not so great ideas.  I want to see more places where I can interact easily with other people who are enrolled in the site.  The videos are great and the idea is very original.  Maybe the site could have links to add or connect it with facebook or myspace to give it a more relaxed or hip feeling instead of a feeling.

  16. Visit https://www.shopwatchbuy.com. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

Seemed to be a shop of sorts that uses video to sell product. 10 seconds was not enough time for me to understand fully the concept.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

Font and font size is great, everything was easy to see and read. Navigation was easy and obvious. So many websites are overwhelming (eBay, Amazon, etc) with busy objects and clutter your site seemed a refreshing contrast with the lack much of the functionality of eBay and all the options for narrowing down products by a variety of criteria. All the links seemed to lead to what they indicate and there weren’t so many of them that I had to look long to find the info I wanted.

The player was black screen as if there was no video loaded, it may be a better thing to ensure there is some image in the player screen that helps sell the project. I didn’t check to see if that was the sellers problem or something that could be improved. Refreshing the page a few times revealed that sometimes the screen has an image and sometimes it doesn’t.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

Mostly I loved the whole site design but think you would benefit from more technology. Things I would of liked to see include advanced search with the ability to include terms, exclude terms, set a min and/or max price. Subcategories are also really important to me when I am shopping online. Less complicated than eBay is great but some additional functionality would make the site more useable.

What do you think of the sign up process?

The sign up form was very easy to fill out and I was in my account very fast. I am tolerant about captcha use as I understand how much of a problem bots and spammers can be. If you do use captcha later be sure it used very clear images, none of that fuzzy distorted text.

Would you sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?

If I had product to sell I would sign up, I would not replace other methods of selling, such as half.com, amazon.com, ebay.com or craigslist.com but would think this is a newer way to approach product sales and worth a try.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like ebay.com and youtube.com?

Your site is so simple and easy to use, the large text nice font make it very usable. eBay is the pits, its complex to browse and navigate, there is so much stuff going on that it’s not always clear what to do or how to do it. However the simplicity of your site does come as the cost of usability. Advanced search subcategories would make a very significant improvement without cluttering the site.

Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

The concept seems sound and somewhat unique, like a “gee, why didn’t I think of doing that” sort of thing. I will add your site as a place to search for product when I do comparison shopping but I will miss some of product search features like eBay uses. There does not seem to be even a small fraction of what eBay offers in products I normally buy online but I do buy at least one PC and a couple of PC upgrades a year from the Internet so see you next i’m shopping.
