How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like https://www.appointment-plus.com and https://www.bookfresh.com? For me same features, maybe it will differ in customer service quality.
Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have. For me I think give more BOOM factor to a user when they visit the website.

  2. What do you think the site is about?
From just looking at the site for 5-10 seconds I could clearly see it had something to do with making reservations, but I wasn’t clear on the details. I would need to do more investigation before I fully understood the concept behind the web site.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
I feel a bit overwhelmed with all the information presented on both the main page, and the ‘how does does it work’ page. I think too many features are being listed before you get the service explained to you. I think a slight change in font and graphics, to get the page a more subtle aura, would give a more professional feel, plus help the customer not feel so initially overwhelmed by information.
I do like however that the layout is fairly straight forward and easy to follow. Such is seen with the buttons listed, and the form that comes up when you ‘click to begin’.
Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
No not really. I don’t think the free trial is presented very clearly. I find it difficult to even understand that a free trial was being offered. I think this should be one of the things promoted the most.
How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors?
    Appointment-Plus
I found the main page of Appointment-Plus to be more complex in lay out, but to explain the purpose of it’s service more clearly, and it’s free trial was better promoted than on SimplyBook.Me. However I found their form to be more complex and confusing than that of SimplyBook.Me..
    Bookfresh
I thought Bookfresh had a more refreshing professional feel then SimplyBook.Me.. The fonts and graphics were more artistically pleasing. They also managed to balance a lot of information with a fairly clear, understandable lay out.
    Additional feedback/comments
I would say to try and make the propose of the web site, and the nature of the service more understandable on the main page. Also make sure the free trial in promoted to a higher degree. Add a bit more color and life to the lay out. Also balance how much information you give to the customer at one time, try to focus their attention on one main point at a time.

  3. What do you think the site is about?
The site caters to those looking to make reservations online for dentists, hairdressers and other services most often associated with small communities.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?
The design for one thing. It looks amateurish and is in need of a major overhaul. It is isn’t attractive enough for businesses to sign up for, as well as clients since the site looks like something done in a rush. Sites that offer free blogs have better looking themes. Though the menu system looks good and easily readable. I also think the copy on top does not offer enough information. Usually, users glance at a site and want the information spoon fed to them. Most users wouldn’t bother scrolling down just to find out what the site is about.

Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial/free account? If not, why?
No. Because of the design. I know it might seem unfair, but the aesthetics of a site can do wonders. I’d rather sign up with a site that spent its time into the design, knowing they are more professional.

How do you think the site compares to other similar sites/competitors like https://www.appointment-plus.com and https://www.bookfresh.com?
Both competitors look may more professional. Bookfresh.com is the best looking to my eyes. Appointment-plus.com turned me off because of their video. I find videos not worth watching unless I am really interested in knowing about them. Once I saw the video loading, I closed the window.

The simplicity of the site is ok. But it is too simple. A glance won’t let the user know what it’s about. Unlike with bookfresh, where the top of the page shows enough information to understand what the site is about. Your site, upon first arriving there, I thought it was for booking airline reservations since all it says is “The free and easy online reservation tool.”

  4. It starts out very simple and easy, with company name and that they are a “Free and Easy Online Reservation Tool”. With who they are working for just below the Free line, it gives you an idea if you are interested in the site or not. The large colored “Click ti Begin” makes it easy to sign up. Some people will like the layout the way it is because it isn’t overly cluttered and easy to get started.
