Going through the text written on the homepage, I was able to easily understand what Sopularity does. But, it left me wondering how does it work? I was hoping to see a demonstration (like a video) but there was no further explanation so I felt like the homepage seems lacking/incomplete.
But I like the simplicity of the page in terms of the colors and layout.
Looking further down I saw the lines “Insert your tweet.. Select one or more of the suggested hashtags.. Post your tweet”. At first I thought they were links or something and then I realized that it was partly the answer to my earlier question. I feel like it would be better if these lines were emphasized more than the testimonial/feedback. Maybe make it bigger and add some numbers to it like “Step 1.. 2.. 3..” to show that it is the process of using Sopularity.

As much as I am curious to see how it works, I don’t think I will sign up just yet. I want to see that it is working before trying it out myself.
Usually before I sign up for anything I want to see that it works and it is not just some ruse to get membership. Perhaps a video demo will convince users like myself that your app exists and is working.

The closest I could find is https://www.hashtags.org/analytics/generator/
Unlike Sopularity, they don’t auto generate the hashtags but instead you input the hashtag yourself and check its analytics.
I really like the idea of Sopularity auto generating the hashtags but I can’t tell if it really works so I think I’ll go with hashtags.org instead. With hashtags.org, I would at least know the trends of the hashtags and pick them out myself.
4) Do you want to use this app? Do you want to pay for it? If yes, how much?
I want to use the app but I need to see that it works well first. As for paying for it, no. As of now, I am good with the free services offered by sites like hashtags.org.

It would be nice to have a demo available on the homepage. Like an input box to enter a sample tweet so that users can see the app in action.
The idea behind Sopularity is really nice and seems like a useful app. But the homepage isn’t really convincing. Maybe if a little more info/demonstration of the app in action is included at the site, it will interest more users to try and perhaps pay for the app.
1) My initial impression is that the homepage is inviting and warm for the user. The white background and minor amount of text and visuals do not distract the site visitor from focusing on the point of the website, which is to use the site to find the correct hashtags for tweets. I also like that the colors of the site do not conflict with the Twitter colors, so the entities remain separate. I would prefer though to see an example of what I should expect the interface of the program to be though before I decide whether or not to sign up. The site looks like it was developed to be parallax in nature, however, there is no content currently that allows the site to follow this design.
2) Yes, I am encourage to sign up for a free trial, however, I do not believe the company is focused on that being the primary goal for the user to do. Not much emphasis is placed on the button and the color that is shown in the middle of the homepage to sign up for the free trial. The use of larger text, boldness of fonts, and better context would elicit a greater sense of urgency or need from a site visitor to sign up for a free trial.
3) I could not find another website that offer similar services to Sopularity, but I will generate a response to this based upon my knowledge of the landing pages of sites like Hootsuite, SproutSocial, etc. that are social media management platforms. On these sites, the landing pages are more engaging with the user and give examples to potent customers on how they can expect the program to look, act, and the capabilities it features. I feel like this connection and show-by-example proof is missing currently on the Sopularity site and is needed in order to have a solid number of site visitors convert to site/app users.
4) I would be interested in trying out this app, however, I would like to see and know more information about it before I feel I know enough to make an informed decision. If Sopularity provides this information to myself or any other potential customer, I believe their chance of conversion would be higher. I would also like to see some metrics provided by the company that would show how their program can increase viewership of my tweets or cases where viewership has significantly increased the viewership of a tweet. Like I have stated prior, I would not be able to make an informed decision about using this app/service until more information was provided to me. With that said, I cannot say whether or not I would pay for this app’s services and what amount of payment I believe it is worth.
5) I believe the concept of the product is a great one, but the site/app developer needs to share more information about the product he is selling with his audience in order to increase it’s marketability. At the moment, the site does not give users the information they need to be an informed consumer or present to potential customers how this site/app poses more value compared to any other social media software/platform/management tool out on the market today. With fierce competition in this social media industry to have one’s message break through the clutter, Sopularity needs to show how it is able to do just that for its own brand first. Once that is accomplished, I believe that consumers would be more apt to listening and believing the Sopularity product, message and want to engage with it themselves.
1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
This home page is simple and clean. The colors work. The basic concept is clear to anyone who uses hashtags. I’m haven’t researched to see if there are other sites or ways of knowing what hashtags work best or are trending other than for the few listed on Twitter’s left sidebar. So I can see where this would be a great assist.
It might be helpful to add one word: “Increase your social popularity by using the right Twitter hashtags.” The last I heard the average person stays on a page of 6 seconds. Even though there are signs throughout the home page that this is for Twitter hashtags and not Facebook or some other site, a visitor has to look for it. However, if it is clearly stated in the first sentence, the purpose of the site will become clear instantaneously.
2) Are you encouraged to sign up for a free trial? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Yes. I use hashtags and am not certain which ones are best for my purposes.
3) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which one do you prefer? Why?
I went on to hashtag.org. I would have expected it to be #1 on Google, but it wasn’t.
Your home page is cleaner.
However, hashtag.org appears to be a more comprehensive site. It is not only about adding the hashtag, but also tracking to see what the response is. This could be very valuable. If you offer this, it would be great to let people know. Those of us who use Twitter for business would like to increase our followers. Good use of hashtags is one way.
4) Do you want to use this app? Do you want to pay for it? If yes, how much?
Since the basic services on hashtag.org are free and more comprehensvie, no I wouldn’t be interested in paying for what you offer. But if you had premium services, such as the analytics that hashtag.org provides, I might.
5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
This is an excellent idea and you might want to add more features to interest people in using this given that hashtag.org is more comprehensive. You could do exactly what hashtag.org is doing as far as providing analytics, but why? It already exists. Finding some way to make your site unique would be great. For instance, having hashtags for all sites that use them. Or adding other tools for Twitter. Or interface with other sites that provide additional Twitter tools.
