The site is about a multifunction blanket. Its a brilliant invention! It amazes me when I see things like this and think “why hasn’t anyone thought of this before?”Congrats!!

The site setup is very user friendly and easy to navigate.
What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

I like the background color and pattern, logo, and simple setup of the site, it makes the site very user friendly. I think the picture should be clearer though, more professional looking. The picture is of a beautiful blanket and mitten but its hard to see.
Did you want to learn more about the product or want to purchase it?

I wanted to learn more. Luckily the Q/A portion covers the most common questions and explains exactly what this product is and how much it is. My sister-in-law and twin brother are expecting their 4th and I cant wait to present them with this gift. Its so pretty and usefull!!

yes I found the blog to be very entertaining and informative!
Did you connect with the characters or feel more connected with the company, The Ladybug and Bean?

Yes I felt connected to the characters and know exactly how they felt in each story. I love that I know where the name ladybug and bean came from and to know that this is a company made from a person who has the same needs as the consumer therefore knows what they really need.

I love this product and can’t wait to get one to give as a gift! I know that you care about each and every product thats shipped out because you are involved in every decision. This site will be very popular. Im telling all my friends about it!

  2. Thank you SO much for your feedback. I am glad to hear that you like the idea AND the blanket! I’m happy that you like the stories on the blog too (they make for easy writing as they are always doing something crazy). Congrats to your sis-in-law and brother….I hope the pregnancy is going well. 🙂

  3. Visit https://www.theladybugandbean. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

It seems to be a site that offers limited, specialized gear for babies.

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site.

It offers a few baby items (very cute!) and has a huge plus of proceeds going to Children’s Cancer research.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

I would like to see better quality photos of the items you are selling. It would be good if the display were also more attractive. I love these products and really want to see the designs up close.

Did you want to learn more about the product or want to purchase it?

I would potentially be interested in purchasing. However, in order to decide, I must see details of the design.

Love, love, love your blog! The stories are very engaging and quite well-written. I found them very entertaining. I even like the ads along the borders (particularly the one with the ultrasound tech ad).

Did you connect with the characters or feel more connected with the company, The Ladybug and Bean?

It reminds me of when my children were small. Quite poignant for me!

The best advice I can give is to improve the layout, presentation and resolution of the photos of your products. In combination with the blog, once you do that, you will have a definite hit on your hands!

  4. Visit https://www.theladybugandbean. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about?

Baby items. The blanket shown is quite cute.

Overall, the look of the site is appealing, however, it is quite plain, all the same.  There are very few samples of work available on the main pages.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like?

I am concerned about the straps.   She clearly states that the straps are unsafe for children, and yet the blanket uses them.  What would happen if the straps came loose while the blanket was in use, and the baby was to get hold of them?

Did you want to learn more about the product or want to purchase it?

Unfortunately, no.  My safety concerns over the straps far outweigh my desire to purchase one of these blankets.  That being said, it is a wonderful idea.  Maybe with a little more design work, my concerns would be alieviated, and I would consider buying one.

Visit https://www.theladybugandbean.blogspot.com. Read 1-2 story entries. Did you find the stories entertaining and engaging?

The stories were great.  Very easy to relate to as a parent.  I would definitely want to go back and read more stories.

Did you connect with the characters or feel more connected with the company, The Ladybug and Bean?
I definitely felt I could relate to the characters on the blog.  It did not however help me feel more connected to the company.  maybe if there was a link to the bnlog from the website, this would help to make that connection.

  5. sphbiz – Thank you for your feedback! I will take your advice and add higher res photos and show details of the products on the site. I have heard that from a few other people as well so that moves to the top of my “to do” list. MUCH appreciated. And I’m happy to hear that you enjoyed the stories. 🙂 Thanks for your time!!!

  6. lhennebury – Thank you for your feedback! I’m glad that you brought up all of your concerns because this shows me that i AM NOT being clear enough on the website.
    1) straps – the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSA) has guidelines that straps for infant accessories and they should not be any longer than 9″ in length. My product comes with sixteen (16) 9″ straps. Then the user will snap two of straps together to form one 18″ strap (bringing to a total of 6 complete straps). These will then be used on the blanket for the use of the secure crib blanket, stroller blanket, and breastfeeding cover. I wanted them to snap together so that IF an older sibling got a hold of a strap they would come apart…just in case they were using them improperly so that there would be no strangulation issues. I wanted to put a warning on them so that a caretaker will not have any doubt that the are not “toys”. No strap, cord, shoelace, etc. should ever be given to a child as a toy (you’d think this is common sense, right?) but I wanted to make sure this was very clear just in case someone didn’t think about it before handing a strap over to a child to play with.
    2) The snaps (small parts) on the straps went through a tension test tested by an accredited laboratory and they did pass the guidelines that the CPSA set forth regarding tension. So it would take a lot to get those snaps off of the straps. This is stated in the Q&A section. Again, I wanted to put a warning, but I will make that more clear on the website.
I also had the snaps tested for lead content and they passed the CPSA guidelines, as well as a flammability test for the blanket, burp cloth, and mittens. Being a mom of two I am very paranoid and would not put a product out in the market without taking all of the appropriate precautions.
I will make all of this more clear on the website. Thank you.
    3) There was a link to the blog on the homepage, but I will redesign it so that it stands out more.
Thank you SO much for all of the comments. Very insightful and helpful. I’d love to hear your thoughts now knowing what more about the safety precautions that I took and that the product passed testing.

Visit https://www.theladybugandbean. Spend no more than 5-10 seconds on the home page. What do you think the site is about? It was very easy to understand what the site was about, especially being a mom 🙂 What a great concept!

Now go back to the site and comment on various elements of the site. Very cute design and layout, but the first picture on the homepage should be a “wow” picture, and should make people want to look further into the site. the pattern was super cute, but maybe an up close shot of it or maybe just a clearer shot.

What do you find bothersome? What do you like? nothing was bothersome about the site, just what i mentioned in the response above. I did like all the “how to” pictures, it makes it very easy to see how to convert it

Did you want to learn more about the product or want to purchase it? I wish i was still in that stage with my kids, because i would definitely consider purchasing it!

Visit https://www.theladybugandbean.blogspot.com. Read 1-2 story entries. Did you find the stories entertaining and engaging? the stories were very cute and entertaining, but it seemed to not have much correlation to the website and/or product

Did you connect with the characters or feel more connected with the company, The Ladybug and Bean?
I definitely connected with the characters, being a mom of 2, but same as above, i just didnt feel the connection to the company or the product, with the stories besides the name

Please share any additional feedback/comments you might have.
Awesome idea! I might end up getting it for the next friend who gets pregnant! great job!
