Honestly, there is very little on your homepage. Keep in touch should not be here. That should be on a contact page. The scrolling pictures of kids are too little and not in the center, where they should be. The Youtube video is incredibly small. You need it much larger on the screen, and a description of what it is we are watching. People will not click if it doesn’t get our interest.
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
No. Your homepage does not give me the credibility, background, selling points to convince me to use your service.

I would be more inclined to find a local tutor than one online.

People are not going to click on your video and watch if the static information does not say you are an expert and offer premium services.

Went to http://www.tutor.com. This site appears to be more credible than yours.

The only thing I clearly get from your homepage is that I get a “free half-hour lesson” – free half-hour lesson of what? This needs to be explained. What subjects are taught/tutored should be here.

Pictures should be in center of homepage and much larger.

Youtube video should be much larger with description of what it is.

You need selling points, since we know nothing about your brand.

Tutor.com has the credibility on their homepage, and shows other brands that have reported/press releases about their site. You need these kinds of testimonials as well.

Motto: “Tutoring anywhere you are” might suggest you have locations in all major cities/locations. Perhaps you mean everywhere because you are online. Not everyone in the U.S. has internet. Not everyone with internet has a webcam. Is a webcam required for interaction?

It would be helpful if you state the necessary hardware needed for online tutoring.
