My first impression of your site – I could tell it was straight forward that it was offering a site to sell digital files.
Upload a product and tell me your experience. Was it easy? Was it hard?
For me it was hard. I look over the site and could not find a button to view products. The directions were very clear on how to download a file to sell. I went through the complete site and I thought the information presented did a very good job explaining to individual how to list products and what to expect for the whole process. In fact I was interested to see what can of files were being offer for sale.
Would you consider upgrading your account to be able to manage your products?
I do not have enough experience to answer that question honestly. From what I was able to review the site the free component appear to serve all the needs of a seller. However, I am not sure what kind of products would be listed.

The site did an excellent job of explaining procedures for a seller. If I’m a buyer how would I view the products?

I did know what you were offering, however, it might not be crystal clear to those who are unfamiliar with what digital products are.  I might suggest putting the information you have in the tab title (Chrome) which says “Sell eBooks, Files, Downloads, Digital Products w PayPal ….” somewhere along the top banner close to your logo.

I first attempted to upload a .docx file, but received an error message that it was not allowed.  So then, instinctively, I went to the FAQ’s to see what files were supported and was shocked to see that this was not listed!!  You definitely need to have your supported file types listed!!  So then I attempted to upload an .mp3 file and got alert after alert for my product name being to short (must be at least 8 characters), my price was too high (I had it listed at $250, apparently the max is $99), the contact person listed was under 8 characters, the company name listed was under 8 characters — it just kept going & going & going!!  OH  MY!!  It needs to be clear what the expectations are before a user attempts to upload.  Maybe have a tool tip type box appear when the user hovers over each field to be filled in, or create instructions before the user attempts to upload.  It would have saved me a LOT of time!!  Beyond that, the process was simple and the layout was nice!

I assume this is the information that would go under the ‘Pro Account’ tab. Â I think this is a VERY valid idea and that given the right marketing, this would take off!! Â I HATE paying fees through ebay and then again through PayPal — to eliminate 1 of those is HUGE! Â If I had enough online content, I would consider upgrading … depending on the price. Â I might suggest having different packages, you’ll find that a 1 size fits all approach doesnt always work. Â People like choices, and even though 80% of people will pick the middle option, you still want to encourage that 10% at the bottom and 10% at the top to buy in.

I really like they layout and the use of white space around your site.  It is easy to navigate and its very intuitive, when I click on a tab, what I expect to see is what comes up.  I hope you take my advice and add the supported file types and also a clear explanation of expectations (or limits) when you are filling in the form to upload content.
A few things I see — You might want to have some sort of approval process, or somewhere in your terms of use that limits X rated or Adult content, unless that is your target audience. Â Also, the ability to set the price higher than $99 could be a potential road block.

I can upload and sell something. Doesn’t specify anything, so I assume it could mean anything at first glance. That doesn’t violate copyrights of someone else.

Upload a product and tell me your experience. Was it easy? Was it hard?
It was a simple and easy process. I just put in my upload, some basic personal information, agree to the terms, and click the next step. The only problem I had, was with my file name. But, the helpful pop up window helped me fix that issue.

Would you consider upgrading your account to be able to manage your products?
Nope. Not for that reason alone. I explain this better in the next section.

Users should be allowed to manage products without a pro account. The pro account should offer instead marketing tools, professional advice, more digital space, and any potential tools to help sell a digital product. You want to do your best to deliver a quality service for any premium service. That way, they’ll want to stay as pro users. Managing products is not enough incentive and is a service that should be free. Users should have the right to upload, delete, rename, adjust details, and sort products for free.
At first glance, do you know what UPLOADnSELL offers?:
The prominently displayed offer for UPLOADnSELL is a way for folks to quickly and easily upload digital files for sale, and to do so without charge.
Upload a product and tell me your experience. Was it easy? Was it hard?:
The entire process took less than 5 minutes, and that included me creating email addresses to be associated with the site.
Would you consider upgrading your account to be able to manage your products?:
It’s difficult to determine the answer to that without being able to see the product. If I had enough content to sell, most likely. I have considered digital photography, but the hassles and fees of online stock image companies has turned me off. If I were to start down the road, the ability to see not just 1 image, but three size versions of that same image, would be critical.
I do agree with the previous commenter about managing being part of a basic plan. Basic plans could be monetized through targeted advertisement of materials relevant to the file types being uploaded (“how to write e-books”, “Teach Yourself the Latest Music Maker in 24 Hours”). You could severely limit the amount of space available for basic plans as well. Maybe a forum so people can discuss related issues.
Then, worth the advanced plans, you could offer graduated disk space, customizable buttons, and “members only” forum area.

Great idea with great potential. I cannot wait to see the finished product.
