  1. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?

When I first came to the page, I immediately noticed the three thinking people with the thought bubbles. My immediate impression was that the thought bubbles did not appear to be created by a design professional, rather by someone using the tools included in Microsoft Office.
There also seems to be a lot of different font sizes in use. Again, this makes the site feel like it wasn’t designed by a professional. I think it is, however, good that there only appear to be two fonts in use -Times New Roman and Ubuntu/Arial, although I think there could be better pairings of serif and san serif fonts.
Although the bullet points clearly outline the benefits of upushit, it is still difficult to discern quickly what the site is all about. I think screenshots of the actual app/site might be more interesting than stock photos.
I also have some concerns about the URL: when not written in camelcase, I first read it as “up u shit.”
The buttons are a little too busy: there is a 3D element with shadows, glossy edges and a glow, plus the 3D and shadows on the text itself. The ‘Join Now’ button also has a gradient. I think these additional design elements distract from the calls to action.
With my browsers resolution, I didn’t initially see the scrolling prizes section in the lower left hand corner. Also, once i did bring my attention there, each item felt like it was scrolling too quickly.

I decided that I wanted to find if there was a way to contact Support or if there were any Frequently Asked Questions.

From the home page, the link to Support Forums in the footer seemed promising. However, when I clicked on the link, I encountered a pop-up window stating “Authentication Required – The server https://forum.upushit.com:80 requires a username and password. The server says: forum.” I then selected the Cancel button on this pop-up window, which redirected me to a forum.upushit.com, which displayed: “Authorization Required – This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn’t understand how to supply the credentials required. Additionally, a 401 Authorization Required error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”
From there, I decided to use my browsers back button to go back to the Home page. Once there, I couldn’t really see any other options for finding how to contact support or find any support resources.
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
The only reason I am encouraged to create a new account is because I am writing this review. If I were to come across this site, either from a blog post or review or from a recommendation from a friend, there is very little about this site that would appeal to me to sign-up. Honestly, going back to some of my design critique from the first question, the overall site doesn’t feel very professional. With the promise of fabulous prizes and cash awards, the skeptic in me worries that it is just a sham and that my privacy will not be respected (i.e. my information will be sold).

Since I couldn’t really determine exactly what uPushIt was offering, or at least, I couldn’t do so in a concise, search engine-friendly phrase, I decided to search for “alternative to upushit.com.” Unfortunately, this really didn’t return any results that looked like competitors. Maybe that’s a good thing?

In reading through the About section, I get that one of the differentiating features of uPushIt is the concept of “conquering odds.” Unfortunately, it isn’t abundantly clear as to what odds I (and those I interact with on the site) will be conquering.
I think there is work to be done on clearly and concisely communicating what uPushIt is.

  2. 1) I feel like I’m looking at a college or university website.  I’m not exactly what the site is about based in the information given.  It seems maybe like it’s a social network for creating business connections.  Not until I found the “about” section did I understand the competitive aspect.  I’m still not sure what odds we’re working to conquer though.  Some more clarity on the front page may entice people more easily.

    2) The site is definitely easy to navigate for an experienced internet surfer that is familiar with standard website layouts. Were I new to online interaction I may be a bit overwhelmed by the amount of content in the Pushit section.  But overall I think it’s perfectly laid out for the target audience

    3) I do feel motivated to sign up and see what upushit is all about.  Seems like a neat concept and the monetary incentive is very clear from the get go so you I know I’m not wasting my time for nothing.

    4)  I don’t really find any social networks that compare!  All others I know are concerned mostly with amount of users and traffic for their advertisers… The idea of working together and motivating one another competitively to achieve goals is new to me and very appealing.

    5)  I’d like to see this site developed further and will follow it closely. But as it grown I expect a more user friendly website interface that is intuitive so I can get right to the point of my visit instead of being unsure where to go.

  3. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?

As I looked around the website of UPushit.com, I was intrigued at the free unlimited features and access to the website and auctions. There are thousands of cash rewards dispersed every month which will give users the availability to  earn residual income. I was impressed at the many options the UPushit.com has to offer.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
I was looking for a search box and any other information about what the website has to offer.  I did not find that on the site initially.  I had to scroll all the way down the website and saw a few links that went over the company’s information. It was a bit confusing at first because the links about the company were so small and tiny that anyone could have missed it if they weren’t looking for it right away.
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
I was encouraged a little to create a new account and profile due to the great features UPushit had to offer such as: Cash Tournaments, Games, Free 60 day trial, and social networking access.
    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which one do you prefer? Why?
The closet company that I’ve noticed that offers similar services is WorldWinner.com. I prefer UPushit.com because of the various services and features of earning residual income.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I was not too pleased with the aesthetics of the website.  The graphics and design of the website could improve a bit. I believe if the website’s design and layout were more professionally done, it may attract more users.

  4. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
I was wondering what “Social Network Challenge” meant and looked around the page. I caught the words “Fun”, “Games” and “Socialize”. I did not find the page fun or inviting though. The colors were too dark and gave the site a business vibe instead of a fun social networking place.
The info on the homepage does not explain much. I still have no idea how the site works as a social network or as a way to earn cash/prizes and how the site name “uPushit” relates to it. I’m guessing its about pushing something but I don’t see any explanation of it at the homepage.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
So I want to know how the site works. The only links I could find were at the footer of the page (Pushit, uBlogs, iMag..). Clicking on each of the links brought me to different sections of the site and none of it explains anything although I did get a slight idea of how things work.
It felt like I was at a different site for each of the pages. Although they seem to have a similar layout, the colors and styles were all different. I have no idea where to look for any info.
Ok so I missed the About page. I was finally able to get the idea behind the site. But it is still lacking info.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
No because the site is confusing. I can’t tell how it works or if it will work. There doesn’t seem to be any real members or activities going on.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
So I ended up at fanbox.com
I find Fanbox to be the better site. It’s a whole lot more inviting and friendly. They have a video right at the homepage of what the site is about. They don’t have games though but the exposure and the buy/sell features they offer seems enough.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I still haven’t found any supporting info for the bulleted list at the homepage (kinda like a “Learn more” link) which makes it difficult to understand how they each work.
The site doesn’t look inviting. It seems like there isn’t any interaction. I felt like the current users aren’t real, probably because they didn’t have any photos and they seem to have the same standard profile.
Maybe if brighter colors are used and more information is provided, the site will look a lot better. As it is now, it doesn’t really look professional or credible.
The idea behind the site seems to be interesting but it isn’t conveyed properly. If the colors, layout and info are improved, the site will definitely be more interesting to explore, especially for first time visitors.

  5. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
My first impression was that you have a very flashy site. After spending a minute or two watching your very attractive home page presentation, I can easily understand what uPushit is. This website has some key features like having fun and winning prize, which makes the users to join with in no time. However, it has bit of caution mark after “60 days”. It is not understood how much the website will gonna charge after 60 days trial period until I reach further more pages. I am also missing 3rd party recommendations of small well known companies who use upushit. It is always better to mention charges immediately in the second page when user is registering.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
I did not see a question box and clicked on the support button. This led me to a list of questions and answers. I could not think of a question that they did not have and found it sufficient at first use. This is all set up beautifully, and I’m impressed with the range of features you offer, except the support forum. I can figure out by the site that support forum needs credentials authentication.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
If I have an any interest in socialising websites then I would have definitely sign up for this. This is truly one of the most powerful, feature-rich services of its kind that I have come across. Your fee structure seems quite reasonable, although there are few websites where they charge much more higher than this website. This is too helpful for the people who are into capitalizing and social networking that would like to use these features but have a few employees who are specifically into auctioners, cashiers, gamers.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I searched on “The Social Challenge Network.” The first result returned was a service called infosecawareness.in, an indian based social service, however, it is far away from the upushit.com in terms of rewards, auctions, revenue generating, traffic, social to entertain others, unlimited access for certain period. I was surprised to see it since I could realize there are no websites which can be give tough competition in the global market. The upushit home page presentation is very different than any other social challenge network. It’s much briefer, and the look and feel is more strictly business, friendlier and more casual. upushit is very feature-rich service.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

upushit looks like an excellent service, although after comparing it to other websites, they may have the price advantage. Right now, I think the most useful thing you could do would be to restructuring the price value on your home page. It’s “pretty,” but I had to good impression initially into the site to understand what upushitc.om is, whereas it was pretty obvious what infosecareweness.in was as soon as I read the tagline. Your “Blog” page does a somewhat better job of this, but it’s not until the visitor reaches “Features” that everything becomes clear.

  6. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see?
The first thing that came to mind when I looked at the website is that it reminds me of one of those scam-websites where one first has to pay to join etc. I notice that the benefits of joining are over-pronounced and a bit overwhelming. The font used is also very boring and mundane. My first impression is that this seems too good to be true. If this was legitimate I would join this website (at least to try it out for 60 days) as it promises to bring me some sort of income.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was anything confusing?
The first thing that came to mind when reading the question was that i want to find out how it works, what the requirements are, what it costs etc. So looking at the website upushit.com i could only see the benefits of joining. I thought that if I click on Sign Up that i would be explained more about the process and what exactly is involved. However I did not see this on the sign up page. So my next step was to look at the terms and conditions…. Okay, so looking through the T&C’s i was able to see that i would be entering a binding contract. This is not a great thing to see. After reading further I noticed that this website has auctions and tokens. And this is where I lost interest in the website already. The T&C’s were not at all very informative. They only layed down the rules, but didn’t really explain the process and what is involved.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
The benefits of this website are interesting for me. I did not feel the urge to sign up for this as there was very little information about what it is actually about. I did not see any information about what is required from me. So this is why I would not sign up to this website. To me it really looks like a scam website. Sorry. This website promises all these things, which already raises a red flag in my mind.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
This question took up the most time. As I have never heard of this sort of “social challenge network”. It did not return any useable results. Unfortunately I therefor couldn’t find any similar companies that offer the same type of service. But judging from the information on upushit.com I would not be motivated/interested in finding a competitor.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
The URL itself has a bit of a negative connotation with its name: upushit.com – I see “up u shit”.com which is not very flattering.
